Ive been loving my Hyundai Tucson since my purchase in April 2021. The process was all virtual and I felt very well cared for, from the delivery of the car I was interested in test driving, to the pick up and return of my vehicle when there were a few issues that needed attention upon delivery. Ive waited to give my review until all matters were handled and I could say with confidence how I would recommend this dealership and brand. Just got my scheduled maintenance and state inspection which is included in my purchase. So incredible to have these benefits! Derek Phillips and his staff are quite accommodating and service oriented during my first oil change they handled my oil change with efficiency and with care despite a couple hitches with a new customer service system they had implemented at the time. This past weekend they were able accommodate my schedule and get me in for an inspection. Caring and reliable 5 stars 6 if I could give it.

This is a great dealership! The best part is they have an awesome service department. They take you in on time, you dont wait hours for an oil change or whatever youre there for. I brought my car in for a state inspection and tire rotation. The wait was pretty short and the people couldnt have been nicer. The man who did the inspection found that my wipers were torn and he replaced them free of charge. This is my 3rd Hyundai purchased from this dealership (now Hall, first Priority) and they have always done a top notch job. The cars are also great!

The best service you will get from this place is day 1 of purchasing a vehicle. After that they can care less about you the entire service department sucks and always has an attitude. Especially the older lady who is always working at the desk. Buyers beware go somewhere that see’s you as more than just a dollar sign.

When I came in for my appointment Mike greeted me with great customer service. He didn’t waste any time catering to my needs. Yesterday was an eventful day. I walked into Newport News Genesis looking into the numbers of trading in my 2020 G70 sedan, in hopes of upgrading to a 2021 GV80 SUV. I had the pleasure to be referred to sales rep, Jaye. I didn’t want any BS or sales pitch and he was the go to man. I test drove two of their Genesis SUVs. The day seemed to be picking up. However, Jaye stuck with me with the back & forth, even tho I felt like the numbers weren’t clicking. At the end, he sold me! I had my 60,000 mile service and a battery changed. Kind of pricey but Ive never had a bad experience. The service team is great. Never feel as though your interrupting. I asked for the shuttle when my vehicle was ready. It wasnt available at the time. The service manager heard this and came to pick me up. I thought that was nice. Taking care of customers.

Update 2: Finally got under my car (still under warranty) last week to put it back together. It hasnt stayed in 5th gear since Hall Hyundai originally work on it 2 years ago. After 4 or 5 week long stays attempting to get it fixed and a denied warranty claim this is what Ive found. 2 stripped transmission mounting bolt holes on previously replaced engine. Bent transmission alignment tab. Shifter assembly rubber protecting boot cut off and shifter had no grease. Transmission cross member bolts stripped on drivers side,one bolt was replaced with standard threads. Flywheel was not replaced. Probably never replaced of the course of this whole debacleUpdate: Left a message for Derrick Phillips not long after he left that comment and never heard anything backLets see. Had a engine replaced under warranty at approximately 30k. Got the car back and it popped out of 5th gear on its own. Took it back and they replaced the transmission. Car still popped out of fifth gear and had two small dents in driver side door. They replaced the new transmission again and once again the car still pops out of fifth gear but with a new squeak that goes away with clutch pressed. Pressure plate eventually broke and I was told it wasnt covered by the certified pre-owned warranty. Pretty sure the clutch went out due too shoddy workmanship from prior visits. The main guy back in the office told me my flywheel was replaced free of cost and the third transmission was taking apart and inspected. The day I picked my car up with a tow truck the mechanic informed me he was lying. Ive since looked at the flywheel and can confirm its the original. This place truly sucks. I cant reiterate that enough. I battled the certified pre-owned warranty rep who said they wanted the work done at the original location while I was in Greenbay. So when I come back home of course the dealership is going to defend themselves. Pics are when I picked my still under warranty car up from them. I refuse to pay them to do any work

The staff was friendly but the dealership didnt want to do much negotiating. They did agree to pay my trade in off, but the price point I was given wasnt much of a bargain. I always say a car that sits on a lot from one day to the next week to the next month loses its value, but 1k negotiation for a potential over 500 dollar car payment was not worth it to me. I ended up purchasing a 2021 elsewhere for exactly what I was looking for. Always shop other dealers if you arent sure.

This was my first experience with the service department at this location. I usually visit another location. I was very impressed with the service. The service coordinator obtained all the information he needed from the vehicle instead of asking 100 questions. When the job was finished he made me aware of the points I had accumulated which I could use to pay for the service. I have been to two other locations and no one has ever mentioned the points. Ill be going back to the service department at this location from now on.

This is my first time taking my car here. It was an extremely bad experience. The lady that checked me in was an older lady in the front office. She is totally dishonest. When they were done with my car, I asked her did they check the issue that I had called in about when I made an appointment. I called to have them do an oil change and to check the wobbling that my tire makes when I am driving, especially when I’m on the interstate and on bridges. and she was like yes they checked it and brushed me off quickly and was like your car is upfront. The car is still doing the same as when I brought it in. I called to speak to a manager and one wasn’t available at the time. So I received a call from a manager later that day and he had no clue as to why I brought my car in.. I told him that I had mentioned it when I called to set an appointment and again to the lady in the front office. He then says the lady never mentioned that in the report the reason why I brought my car in for the wobbling my car makes when I drive. So what’s the point of taking your car here if they aren’t honest in their report, she never mentioned the concern I had about car, so they never even looked at the problem. This company is dishonest and they will brush you off with no care in the world. What a waste of my time. The manager showed no empathy, he was like oh well not my problem. That’s the vibe that I got from him.

This is an amazing dealership! No shady car salespeople here! Only honest, caring, hard-working representatives! Our daughter went there to get her first brand-new vehicle and was helped by Mike and Ray. Mike took our girl in and treated her like family! The mechanic did not use synthetic oil, which was on file(for 3 yrs) & they used my reward points without consulting me. I called to speak with a manager twice and left messages and didnt get a call back. I Called the associate who serviced my vehicle, he texted back sorry I missed your call & how can I help you? I did not want to go back and forth texting. They are all about the dollar and not the customer service.

Our family car blew up!!! Wed just moved here from Iowa with no family close by and no idea what to do. Within a day we were pre-approved for a loan and off to Hall to pick out a car. We had to haggle a bit, and was only shown 1 vehicle. They said we were only approved for this one specific car. Good thing we liked it from the beginning! Other than that, the whole process from arrival, test drive, haggling, and finalizing the paper took over 5 hours to complete. We are lucky our 3 year old behaved so well! The gentlemen working were extremely nice and interacted well with our daughter, even gave her a balloon. Im glad we had a fairly good experience with them after such a bad misfortune regarding our family car blowing its engine.

I was a disappointed that there was sticky residue all over the vehicle and a chip in the paint when it was delivered. The detail people did not do a good job. After turning it back in on Monday (delivered and identified problems on Friday) then the chip was fixed and the detail department did an amazing job. I picked it back up on Tuesday with no management apology or anything for my inconvenience.

This is the absolute best dealership I’ve ever done business with. Although it is never a fun experience to buy a car (sorry car peeps- it’s true) they make it as smooth as possible. Chris Meadows is my personal favorite but everyone there top down is fantastic. I always go there for service too because I trust them and have gone to them through 3 cars. Great place to buy!

Hall HYUNDAI Newport News was the greatest car dealership experience that I have had. This is why I am a repeat customer upgrading from my Sonata. I brought my 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe to Hall after Bowditch Ford failed my state inspection due to too much play in the inner left tie rod. Hall ordered the part immediately and had it ready 2 days later. When I brought it back to Hall for the service to be completed, the Service Advisor informed me after an hour that there was nothing wrong with my left inner tie rod, and it didnt need to be replaced. He stated that there is was nothing that should cause my car to fail the state inspection. The Hall Service Tech inspected my car all over again and placed the sticker on it. They advised me on what other services were needed for my car and the Service Advisor (Chris) stated I could do those at my next oil change, and that it was no charge at all for the state inspection. Hall Service Dept was honest, caring, and displayed integrity. That was greatly appreciated, and I wont go to any other dealership again!

Got my car fixed for free! Airbag light was on and they repaired the clockspring for free. Hyundai had extended the warranty on it to 15yrs so that was nice. Free state inspection and free oil change also. Also got the car back same day. Thanks Brenda

On the website, when making my reservation...the service for 60,000 mile service is listed as $303.75 (I just double checked) for my (I was signed in) 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. When I arrived, Chris told me it was closer to $465.00. I wasnt prepared to spend that.... Chris was super nice and worked with me to divide the service into two parts, but Im not happy there there is such a distinct difference in price. This happened once before and if it happens again, I wont come back. I love the people at Hall and Ive had very good experiences there, but its a problem to have one price on the website and another in person.

I had a wonderful experience here. I am always a little nervous taking a vehicle to be serviced because I have been taken advantage of in other dealerships and walked out with an enormous bill. I was treated fairly here I will definitely be back. The staff was professional and courteous. If you need to have your car serviced this is where you need to take it.
