The office team were very careful to make sure that I understood the terms of the contract. When the men showed up I understood what to look for as I signed on. The crew were especially courteous and efficient. I have some antiques that have more sentimental value than monetary. They took great care to make sure that these very heavy pieces made it safely to my new home.

We had used Two Men And A Truck in a previous move, so were familiar with them. Moving (and downsizing) from VA to FL. Initial call on phone resulted in a pretty accurate estimate, confirmed by at-home visit by their moving consultant. Estimate provided was within the bounds expected. Crew arrived promptly on date of move, were organized and loaded up two trucks in less time than they had indicated. Very professional and helpful. Arrived FL at time they had promised, and promptly unloaded the two trucks. All boxes were in good shape, no damaged items. Overall very positive experience.

Was quoted for 8.5 hours and only used 5. My 3 movers were fantastic, fast and very friendly. We have some difficult furniture and i was very impressed with how careful they were moving all of it!! Id give 10 out of 10 if i could put more stars!

Ive used these guys twice now to move and I would use them again and again. The movers are always super polite and professional. They are punctual and always complete the move faster than estimated.

From the day I scheduled the move the team has been amazing. They called to confirm on several occasions and even emailed me per my request. The day of my move I was told they could start sooner and that was a huge help. My movers David and Sean were fantastic and so professional. I don’t plan on moving anytime soon but when I do I know who to call.

Never use this company, their general manager Stephanie actually believes that a waiver signed by a neighbor should excuse their company of liability for destroying a brand new driveway on another property, so now I’ve had to hire a lawyer, who says the company is definitely liable for the repairs, to bring this matter to court.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

These movers damaged our furniture, damaged our new solid hardwood flooring. The boxes we had packed were damaged from them throwing our stuff around. We used three of the four movers in a prior move and had no issues. The lead driver got into a verbal argument with me because I pointed out our damaged floors. I would never use two man and a Truck again and if you are smart you wouldnt either. Alot of our furniture was damaged, and if you pay top dollar for something you dont want no one to ruin it. Definitely when youre paying someone to move your things.

Booked for them to come out and help me move, received the confirmation with date and time and was told they’d be at my place at 2:00pm and the move would take 2 hours between 2 and 4. 2:30 rolls around and they’re still not there so I call the office only to see that they’re closed and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone! Only options were to leave a voicemail. They really put me in a bind. Ended up having to rent a U Haul truck. Then what do you know at 4:10pm I get an automated text telling me the movers are on the way and to call the office if I need anything, but as previously stated the office was closed..... just got a call from old roommate telling me that the movers just showed up at now 5pm when I don’t need them anymore. Such a waste of time I do not recommend!

From the time I asked for a quote to the last box making its way into my new home the staff and movers were AMAZING! I requested a quote after hours of operation and heard from someone first thing in the morning. They were able to accommodate and fit me in on a short notice. My movers showed up with smiles ready to work. My crew was so friendly and professional (even after climbing my awful stairs THANK YOU!) this company is great but the staff is what really makes it! Moving can be so stressful but with these guys it was easy breezy! I will forever support this company!

Needed 1 old TV moved out of my storage unit. It would only have taken 15 minutes TOP. They have a 2 hour minimum and the 15 minutes was going to cost me over $500.00.

Ive used Two Men and a Truck several times before in different parts of the US and they are Always professional, on time and easy to work with. They care about your belongings even if they are Target specials or heirlooms. They carefully wrap everything. The last two times I used them, I only moved a 1/2 mile down the street but they still made sure the stuff travelled well. Then they set everything up in the new place to include the bed. What a pleasant surprise to not have to wrestle with putting the bed together after you move in! In my opinion, you really cant do any better than using Two Men and a Truck. (My team actually had two guys and a woman - great team that worked very well together too.)

Their service for an interstate move cant be beat. Most moving companies will collect your household goods, transfer (and sometimes store) them in a warehouse to await the next truck going in the right direction, and possibly do a transfer/store again once in your new homes vicinity. TMaaT uses one truck and one crew: they load, drive and unload the same truck directly from point a to point b! In our case, they loaded in Virginia on Friday and unloaded in Ohio on Saturday. Our crew, Charles and Ashley, were professional and courteous, and Chris as the office coordinator managed the process remotely with precision. If that doesnt convince you, they were also 20% less than a traditional mover. We wholeheartedly recommend their services.

We booked this company to move some furniture for us to a new house. They showed up and said that our house was too dirty to move and there wasn’t a clean path to the furniture we wanted moved. First of all, we were moving, so of course the house is dirty. Second, the things that were in the way were things that were also moving. A path would have been cleared were they willing to do the job they were hired for. Then, instead of telling us they couldn’t move our things, they took pictures of the inside of our home without permission, and then shared them with their boss. Then, they said that they were going out to the truck to get it ready, and then they just left without another word. Shady and unprofessional business. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I have been scheduled to move for weeks now, planned the entire thing with this company, and today (THE DAY BEFORE MY MOVE) they changed my move date, said if we kept my move date they’d charge me $300 extra AND basically blamed me for it! I am scheduled to check into my Naval Command on Friday morning and now I risk getting reprimanded because of Two Men and a Truck’s POOR CUSTOMER service! I also have a family member who is sick and I am the only relative near by to take care of her, do you think they cared?? No! His excuse was it logistically made better sense FOR THEM to move on the date THEY NEED! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They will change things on you last minute and try to charge you just to make more money for them!!Shame on you for treating your customers this way!!!

UPDATE: With regard to the response from the owner to my review, I DID speak with your team (Stephanie Collins, General Manager) and received no customer satisfaction. I asked to speak to the owner and Stephanie refused to give me a name, and said that SHE spoke on behalf of the owner. Unless I can speak with an actual owner or someone above the general manager, I dont see the point in calling the number you provided. Also, as we continue to unpack, we discovered that all of the shelf pegs for both the sideboard and the entertainment cabinet are nowhere to be found. The movers removed the pegs and shelves (two of which were left at the old house) while loading the truck, and the pegs are gone. We had to buy replacements. (Received email today that they will reimburse $15 for the pegs and screws, and are sending a local furniture repair company to repair my damaged desk. Keep in mind I paid $150 for their insurance, so they still come out ahead.) When you are serious about rectifying this horrible service, please contact me. Your company has my number and email address.Original review>> I provided a detailed inventory of our stuff and was quoted 7 to 9 hours for 4 guys and 2 trucks. We ended up moving a bunch of stuff on the inventory ourselves over the last week (ALL of the garage, 2 recliners, 2 desks and more) which you would think would reduce the time and the space on the trucks. Well, they left half a room of furniture and some deck stuff because they couldnt fit it on their trucks. The movers did a LOT of standing around waiting to be told what to do by their foreman. Lazy and inefficient. They took over 5 hours just loading the trucks. They left protective cardboard taped on the wall at the old house. They left food trash hidden in a planter on the front porch. They left no time to properly offload and reassemble at the new house to stay within the quoted timeframe (we authorized this onsite because they were already at 9 hours due to their slowness and inefficiency; we couldn’t afford another 1-2 hours due to the poor quality of their service). Went the full 9 hours for a shoddy and incomplete job, and we still had to move all the items they left at the old house. Spoke to the general manager (Stephanie Collins) during all this, and she just made excuses, defended her crew and displayed no care or effort to rectify the situation. Terrible customer service. They broke the leg on my 60 yr old mid-century desk which I specifically asked them to be careful with. They just left it up on end in a room and didnt say a word. My husband caught it right before they left. They were going to leave without saying a word. They lost the screws on our dresser mirror. The crew did not wear masks (the foreman did when talking to us). This was the absolute WORST, most stressful moving experience I have ever had. I wish I had read other review websites before I hired them... wouldve saved me a lot of money and stress.

I was very disappointed with this moving crew. They did a rush job and left things unfinished. I have a dresser that is sitting in my foyer that the movers refused to move upstairs. And my bedroom furniture that made it upstairs is damaged.

I was unable to use this service, because the level of professionalism, or lack thereof, by the female office assistant who called in regards to a move in NN, VA. She was very short with me, she was not understanding of my situation as to why I couldn’t move with them, AND she hung up on me. So rude, so unprofessional, and because of that call, I will not be using this service in the future.

Horrible experience. Paid this company to pack and move my things. They will stretch you for every penny. They were purposely slow (as they get paid by the hour) and I felt taken advantage of. The more supplies they use the more they charge, which gave them the incentive to be very wasteful. They even left large unused boxes and a couple of large spendals of plastic at my residence so they could charge me for them. These items were never used they just charged me for them. They also stole a couple of my tools from my home. They appeared to be friendly and kept talking to distract me. Do yourself a favor and go with another company.

I chose Two Men and a Truck because the seemed very professional and well priced . My items were to be moved from a storage space, to my apartment . Prior to the delivery team showing up, I did a check up on all the items in the storage space . All items were in good condition . Once the items arrived to my apartment and placed in my home, I checked on one of my TVs and the screen was cracked . Once I plugged it in you could also see a spider web crack throughout the entire TV . I was assured that a damage report would be made, and that I would be taken care of . Instead I was told by the newport news manager that I would not be refunded any money for my TV that was broken during my move, and that if i was it would only be 60 cents per pound of the TV. I would never recommend this company to anyone. What an awful experience.

Free estimate, pointed out what was going and what was staying. Also mentioned the apartment I’m moving to is on the third floor so instead of 2 guys, they sent 3. Guys arrive, ask what floor I’m moving to (it’s on the paperwork!) and asked if there’s an elevator. No is my answer, so they quickly go back out to their truck and tell me they’re not doing it. Rep calls me and mentioned unsanitary conditions but the guys had no idea what she was talking about. Flies? All of the doors are open! They came in the other day when the rep was here for the estimate - doors wide open. Unbelievable. They said that the furniture isn’t move ready - there are clothes on my dressers but nothing else. I’m packing - they’ll be gone by the time they’re ready to move the dressers. I called All My Sons Moving and Storage and they came out and told me that they’d be glad to handle my move, and it’s in- progress as we speak. Packing is so much easier when there’s no furniture in the way!

These guys showed up and knocked it out! They were so efficient they knocked an hour off the estimate I was given saving me some money which is awesome. I would definitely use this company again.

This franchise and these guys were the very best of the best. You could not ask for or expect better service with professional as delivered by this company. To say my expectations were exceeded would be an understatement. Chris, the crewleader, went above and beyond even helping me tweak my storage arrangement for the best fit. His two men were the greatest, too. They were strong and swift and were able to do this job to my third floor apartment with no problem. They were amazing. I would recommend anyone considering a mover look no further. This franchise simply has no peers. This is my second move with them and the time before was just as good. These folks have extremely high standards, were in uniform, clean and neat and very courteous and patient, as I had a couple special needs which were met as planned. I cannot say enough. I called a week early to schedule a pick-up/delivery of a chair. I was quoted at $125 for the hour that it would take. The morning of I received a call stating that because traffic (going through the tunnel, which they knew when they decided to schedule the pick-up/delivery between 8AM and 9AM) it would cost $225. I ended up renting a truck from Lowes and picking up the chair myself (not during rush hour) and it took less than 1 hour and cost less than the original estimate of $125.

Great Experience! Ross (sales) was very informative and helpful, Richard and Erik, packup the entire house, and moved me in two days. They were incredibly efficient and quick. I would take them home with me if I could.

2 men and truck are terrible, they tore my sofa in 2 places and put a stain on it, also dropped my porcelain elephant from Vietnam, and broke a lamp. To make matters worse they said I should keep my elephants wrapped up until I decide to place them in my home. They were trying hide the fact that they didnt want me to know my elephant was damaged. When I reported my sofa was torn they assured me that they call within 24 hours, nope, I had to call and leave a message. They are sloppy with moving furniture and very dishonest. I will post again, after the tech comes out. It isnt looking good for them.

It took 4 hours to move an 800sf apartment with everything packed, my husband and I could have done it in that time and saved $600. One of the movers lost his keys several times and apparently I paid for him to search for them. They broke our headboard because 1 mover tried to move it himself. The movers were nice enough, which made me feel terrible when they asked that we review them and waited awkwardly for a tip that was not coming. I wouldnt have written a poor review because stuff just happens sometimes, but than there was this next part which now has me upset. I waited over a week for the manager to contact me before I reached out. I spoke with her Saturday and she said she would get back to me over the weekend or on Monday once she spoke with the Operations Manager. My husband has tried to call several times today (Tuesday) and no response. We just wanted to know what the next steps were or an ETA but now it looks like I will have to fight to get this resolved. Disappointing

STILL WAITING for reimbursement for ruined bookcase. In August 2016 moved to Williamsburg VA & used the Newport News office of Two Men & A Truck to move furniture from a storage until into a 1st floor apartment. The movers themselves were great- working hard and consistently. It was over 100F! They ruined a large bookcase by placing it on the truck incorrectly: it fell off the top of the pile in transit and crashed to bits. It was a minor incident that was handled after-the-fact, so poorly by the manager that I am posting a NEGATIVE review. After damage, proper paperwork + photo documentation was filed. I was told they would bring me a replacement bookcase that they would buy based on dimensions and image of damaged item. Replacement delivery was delayed twice - when it finally came was a DAMAGED, tiny, cheap bookcase from Roses with a $20 receipt taped to the top- left on our back patio. Phoned to complain to manager that this was in NO WAY a replacement for the damaged item. He gave me a long reply about the contract price and he should have only spent $18 to replace the bookcase as he estimated it weighed about 8-10 lbs & the contract replacement was 60 cents per pound. He offered to come get it and give us a check for $18. After repeat phone calls & missed meetings he told me to keep the damaged replacement bookcase and look for a $18 check in the mail.This is November - still NO CHECK. We had to pay to dump the damaged bookcase at the county facility!! Gave them ample time to make it right and when I called last month, but manager said, had to remove himself from this company. Well, we are too - not using Two Men & A Truck again!

Poor admin customer service and morals I called and left a message I got a call back about two days later actually it was two days later how many customers would they lose into days because they didn’t answer the phone anyway the manager I believe she was also the owner called me from her car I can tell she was driving plus she told me she was she called me offer me an out rages rate I actually call for my mom which has a two bedroom apartment the girl told me all her trucks was out now I did call at the last minute but she gave me an out rages rate I tried to find out why she said because of her truck She tried to sell me a truck that was a way to be way bigger than I need it because that was the only truck she had left 400 and something dollars for about 1 to 2 hours if that I ask her 1 to 2 hours or 1 to 2 loads she trying to sell me a five bedroom house truck for 400 and something dollars which she didn’t even tell me that it was a five bedroom truck until I asked several questions she didn’t say I’m sorry my usual truck is not here for this and that this and that she never told me any details she just went to the biggest truck is only after I asked several questions probing herDid she revealed that that was for a five bedroom home why was she tried to sell me that
