Great menu and food was excellent, good choice of wines, beers etc too. Price not at all bad, kids menu was decent and the wee ones had a ball. Both tried and loves the crab claws. Staff were spot on, attentive but not over the top. A lovely lunch, highly recommended.

Excellent food, nice atmosphere and a varied menu including local seafood specials. Cocktails were a hit, and a really good range of beers including two non-alcoholic options. Wed heard rave reviews about the place and werent disappointed.

Went in today for lunch with the family, the staff were very friendly and service was terrific. I had the spicy tomato soup and wheaten for starter and chicken burger for main, both were great. Would definitely come back in future. Thanks for the good fun!

A rare treat after a year of lockdown, my birthday lunch three months late. Duncan’s a great chef and top bloke, beautiful food and good service in a lovely setting. Seventeen quid for lobster Thermidor salad and fries, English tourists will think it’s a misprint? A little culinary gem but book at peak times.👍

Very friendly and helpful staff. Both of us had the Sunday menu, our starters were lovely but disappointed with our mains. The vegetarian pea risotto was bland, not seasoned well and if it wasnt for the extra garlic prawns we ordered on top it would have only tasted of peas. I dont know what reducing liquid was used but it certainly wasnt stock ! But pina coladas were excellent.

Modern yet cozy surroundings, friendly and professional service. Menu had modern traditional options, vegetarian and childrens choices. Quality dishes were served. Priced accordingly. All-round pleasant experience, would recommend.

Travelled today from Portaferry to Donaghadee. No coffee shops or the like open. Dead as a door nail. Happened upon the Claw & Bull in Donaghadee. We had no booking. But they found us a table for a welcome glass of wine. Very accomodating team in what is a very popular and pleasant pub. The menu looked inviting. We could not eat unfortunately because we had no booking. But our visit was very nice. Thank you!

Totally disappointed in the Bull & Crab today,Sunday 11th October.I booked a table on Tuesday,confirmed on Thursday by the Chef himself that I will get a LOBSTER on Sunday.A disinterested waitress after taking my order informed me : No lobster,chose something else,a duck confit, which turned out to be mediocre,no orange sauce.Drove one hour for this!!Badly let down by this restaurant.Isabella Wagner ( you have my phone number).

Great to see another of these open in Ards. Visited twice in one week. Lovely pub type setting, great variety on menu, all food and sides tasted great. Food in Donaghadee is superb and this is definitely one of the best. Staff very accommodating and friendly too.

Loved this place. Was there with my brother and his guide dog and the staff were so professional in asking if they could speak to the dog. Food excellent and terrific coffee

Very good food in a cosy bistro with a great atmosphere - and open fire on a very chilly day. The two course lunch menu at £15pp was excellent value, with very decent portions. Welcoming of kids too. Would definitely go back.

Food was superb. All four of us dining had no bad words to say about any of the meals we had. Service was great too. Used a high chair for our 17month old, couple of other young families in while we were there.

Meal was lovely, well presented and nice and hot. Lovely helpful staff, very friendly. There werent very many people in today but this suited me well enough. My only negative comments it was a bit cold and I thought the seating a bit uncomfortable, maybe to low for the tables.

Was here last night for dinner and the food was outstanding !. Had the sugar pit pork belly which came with champ and creamy leeks with bacon and it was SUPERB. Had a friend with me who was Vegan and a friend who was vegetarian and both were catered for exelently by our server Ross who had an expert knowledge of the menu and what could be adapted for my dinning companions. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back soon .

We revisited this spot which had just reopened after a fire that closed it for some time. We had the Chefs Seafood Special, what a meal, just fantastic. We would recommend this place for any occasion.
