I called on a whim while down in Rhode Island for a day trip trying to find a specific wine that I’ve only had in the area. The manager I spoke with said they had three and set them aside while we drove about an hour to come pick them up. Great service and selection!

The new location is awesome. Turn down Freebody Street and take the alley next to the 7-11 to find it! Great selection of wines, best in Newport.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch. The sandwiches were great. Their cheese selection looked delicious and they carried a great variety of imported spreads and vinegars. I will definitely stop by next time I am in Newport.

Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet has a wonderful selection of local beer and wine. The staff was extremely friendly and made great recommendations!

I didnt realize they had a small sandwich shop but I have loved everything Ive tried so far. They do daily soup and pizza specials and the salads are unique and fresh. The fresh pastries and amazing as well, I just wish I found this place sooner!

This is a great shop if youre looking for artisanal cheeses. Very wide variety of fantastic cheeses from all around the world. This is a new location that they move to within the last couple of years which is much bigger than the old location in the more crowded shopping district. I like this location since it is easier to move around in and find parking. Staff are normally very helpful didnt guiding you to a cheese you a like as well as pairings.

Had my graduation party catered by NWC+G and it surely did not disappoint. The food was amazing and Jenn did a fantastic job accommodating to all my needs and staying within a budget. Also got fantastic wine pairings with the meal (thanks Babs and Maria). Newport Wine Cellar and Gourmet is a must go to when in Newport, whether just getting a bite to eat before going to the beach, grabbing a cheese plate after a tennis match, or having a multi-course meal catered to your needs. The chapters sammich was fine, nice ingredients, but light on the fresh mozzarella for a $13 sammich. There was quite a lot of balsamic, but it got pretty soggy, and I think a balsamic reduction would have made more sense—as much or more flavor and a lot less soggy. There are nice long tables and it’d be a comfortable place to sit and work. The beverage selection was okay, not great. The baked good looked tasty, but again, a bit steep for what they were. Worth a stop every once in a while maybe, for a picnic, but not great value. The wine store and bakery are next door to one another and seem to share an inside back area but customers have to go through different doors for each

Fresh sandwiches and salads. Great views of the courts at the Tennis Hall of Fame in the rear shop. Super wine selections.

My go-to place for wine. Knowledgeable staff makes picking a bottle a learning experience every time (and a fun one. They dont make you feel stupid for asking silly questions or for not knowing wine speak!). Price point is right on. If Im in the mood to spend more than usual, I know it will be worthwhile. And, I love picking up the perfect pairings at Le Petit next door!
