Chubby Specs Lady - name Tina # 007110 works in Auto center Skokie - is the worst employee there. This is the second time I noticed - She is so rude to me, bad attitude, and is not at all helpful with customers. Early morning @ 6.55 I went for a tire change and waited 70 minutes, it opened @ 8 am (Sunday). The tire was busted a day ago. I was the only 1 there and no other customer waiting. I politely requested her for tire service and tire rotation, to which she refused, and told me to have to make an appointment after 2 weeks. I explained to her its an emergency - even though she refused the requested service. In short - she is not good with customers, if noticed - has a bad attitude, rude behavior, not even deserve 1 single star. She is making a bad image of Walmart of being there. As a regular customer, I am very disappointed.
Isnt much to share. My friend and i tryed calling auto service department all morning to order 3 tires. Couldnt get through to anyone. Its really sad that walmart cant get their costomer service together. Or at least have a site where you can order and make appointment to have tire installed..
Eloise from Automotive at the Niles location provided excellent customer service. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and went ABOVE and beyond to get me the best info for my auto care. She was extremely funny and quick with resolutions. You are appreciated Eloise!
I stopped yesterday evening with a big hole in my tire. I choose the place just because I was one mile from them, driving on the rim.They did not have my tire size so they needed to order one. They installed the spare tire so I can do all the things I need to do.What I really appreciate was the care and the fact they made sure I can leave with my car. The same guy changed the tire today when they got it.It is enough that we are busy trying to do everything and fixing everything and when something unexpected happened it is so nice to meet some people that really care.Thank you Tom and Marcus.I hope the job you are doing is really appreciated by your boss too...
Customer service is terrible I have been trying to call them for past 2 days nobody answers the call.Hope this review brings some attention.
Its like they never answer the phone in the tires and auto side.Ive been waiting for a human for 13 mins and still counting, along with a 20min wait earlier before I hung up
Marcus & Rome saved me $175, did a great job, and worked me in after hours. Great service, conversation, and people.
So, they change my oil in March or so,for about a week or so i hear the engine making weird noise.Took it to a different mechanic, it turns out, that they didint close or tide the cork enough and the oil slowly leak out.Almost ruin my engine.The person that change the oil at time seemed friendly, but either careless or ignorant in reallity.
Says the auto center is open until 7 on there website .Show up up at 6:30 pm stranded 5 hours from home .Terrible way to run a business.They could care less I was stranded.Typical wal mart .After this I will never shop at another one.
Very badly managed by autocenter Manager David. I hv been visiting this Center for 5 to 6 years now and used to see nicely behaving staff. Have never seen Auto Center associate / mechanic like Marcus there who quarrels and argues with customers without having knowledge of cars. I hv been seeing David for years now in auto center which was customer friendly but now have become arrogant and always tired or not interested in doing job or managing staff. I recently got this kind of experience when there were no customers on working day afternoon but still behaviour was not at all customer friendly and members were not greeting or interacting positively with customers....
Asked for an oil change and winter tires to be mounted on my car. Waited SEVEN HOURS. call me right before closing time to tell me that they cannot mount the tires. Took 7 hours to get an oil change. Looked at receipt, it says they checked my tire pressure at 35 PSI, which is what manufacturer recommends. Start my car and tire pressure monitor reads low pressure. Got full synthetic oil too. They wrote 3000 miles until next change on my windshield. So, lied about checking air pressure, possibly lied about putting full synthetic (which lasts much longer than 3000 miles), and lied about mounting my winter tires. Who knows if they even changed my oil!!!!
This is by far the most inept and incompetent auto repair service I’ve ever received. I came to Walmart because I had road hazard insurance on my tires from a previous purchase in my hometown. You can make appointment over the phone, when it’s not ringing off the hook, but don’t try finding that anywhere on their website. As far as wait time goes, you could bury a lump of coal and it would become a diamond before your car would be serviced. I have to work with clients at my own job and the idea is to give the client a realistic expectation and follow through on that expectation. I had to ask on two separate occasions for a time frame and had to speak with a tech before my car was serviced. The staff was about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. When finally approached about my vehicle the staff told me that I needed a new tire as if I didn’t already know. They proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have my tires in stock and I’d have to order them online for a future date. This was 4.5 hours after I’d arrived for them to inform me that they couldn’t fix or replace my tire. Save yourself some time and headache. Go somewhere else.
Get what you pay for. Go cause its cheap. Cant do an oil change, Dont have the oil. Oil in isles. 🙄 Last oil change inept person left my cap off and oil spilled all over the engine compartment. Slow as hell. Hours upon hours wait time. Rude managers. Rude staff. Save yourself the trouble and go to Pep Boys down the street.

Eloise is very helpful, nice, and she shouldnt have to apologize to every customer for having to wait so long in line. You guys need to give her some more help and a raise as well for what she has to deal with. Otherwise good service. Just get some more help.
After a oil change, they returned the car with the doors too dirty with oil ! and the staff is really rude. If you dont like your job just quick!!
Carlos is the man! Very friendly workers, was told I had 2 customers ahead of me and my wait time would be about 1 hour and 30 minutes and it was spot on. Great prices and very satisfied with my tires. Thanks to everyone behind the scenes too and not just Carlos who was very friendly and nice, but also doing 8 things at once. Keep it up!
Had a very long wait, but thats because I didnt know they actually take appointments there. The staff was actually friendly and I have to say, i was very impressed with Nelson the technician. He did an excellent work and went above and beyond with my repair. We need more people like Nelson in the service industry. Thank you!
Its a decent place for basic car needs, reasonable prices although the wait time could be shorter. Anyway, guys did a good job replacing the battery in my vehicle. Im satisfied with the service.
I must be in the minority. I never have an issue with this location. In fact they do quite solid work. I mean maybe they forget the occasional dashboard reset for our smart cars oil wrench icon counters but that’s not a big deal. Easy DIY. however their prices and quality of work is pretty solid. Never had an issue replacing batteries or oil changes or wiper blades. In fact you can usually get a banging deal with new rainex wiper blades when you get an oil change.

Always a trustable location when I think of oil change, tire rotation, and new tire installation. What I loved about Walmart Car Care Center was that I could buy everything here for my car and the technicians will install it for free. The rate was reasonable, and lower than most lube services center anywhere. Huge selection of oil types, car care products, fluids, and filters were sold at a lowest possible price. I dropped my car here at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning for the high-mileage oil change, fuel injector cleaning service, and two front tire change. The service was included carpet vacuum service, fluid level check, and fluid refill. They got the job done within 2 hours while I was shopping at the places nearby. Good service at a low rate!
I had to go for work and I had one flat tire and second was almost zero. I went to four gas stations for air but unfortunately, due to polar vortex weather conditions airs compressors were frozen. Then I decided to go to Walmart and ask an auto center lady for a favor. She was very nice. She went out and told tire shop worker guy to help me out. May God bless both of them for helping me in this chilling weather. Thank you
Comically insane wait time. Was told 2 hours at most for changing 4 tires. Which is a long wait in of itself. .. I waited for nearly 5 hours. The techs here are just not efficient, they leave unused bays open for upwards of 30 minutes at a time, and will often gather around cars in groups to just stand around . if your time has any value do not come to Walmart for tires. Spend the extra few bucks and make an appointment at a reputable tire shop..
Went in for an oil change. Friendly and courteous service. Professionals working in the bay. Got me in and out in less than 30 mins when it was supposed to be over an hour wait. Will definitely come back to this location.

If I could write a short story, get it edited, published, and put into a second edition, before my car gets an oil change, then something has gone wrong. The Heat Death of the Universe is faster than this place is. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.
I had a flat tire & needed to purchase tires immediately 😧employees went out of their way to find the four tires that I needed at the price I could afford 🚙 they had them install with in a hour.Thank you to everyone, great job 👍🏻
My overall experience was frustrating and disappointed with the cashier Eloise in the automotive department. I feel that she lacked focus, computer knowledge, and customer service experience. Due to her lack of skills she blamed the company and her supervisor which made me feel uncomfortable. The overall change of tire was completed per expectation. The mechanics were friendly and seemed to work in a fast pace.
I got my tires mounted today and they did amazing. It was my first time and reading the bad reviews I was debating even going here. But for such a low price I was intrigued. I got there at about 8 a.m so an hour after opening. There was one car before me. They asked me some questions about my car and then asked for my key. They told me it would be about an hour. After reading the reviews I was like yeah right I’ll be here for 3+. But after shopping around the store for a little I returned to check on the progress. My car was finished and ready to go in less than an hour. The reason I had to get new tires was because I got a unfixable flat and needed to. They answered all my questions and followed all my directions with my car. I am happy with the fast speed and the quality seems good so far. But time will tell. The customer service was good too. Everyone was nice and seemed to know what they were talking about. I would recommend coming in the morning and having an open mind about this place. This location for Walmart was great. Me and my boyfriend shop here as well and their prices for everything are good. I’ll be coming back
I Dont usually leave bad reviews, but this place is probably the slowest tire center Ive ever been to. I got there at 6:55 am (they open at 7am btw) and they werent finished putting on my tires that ordered from the Walmart website until after 11am and I was only the 4th person in line. Dont make any plans for your day if you decide to come here first (Even if you come when they first open)
Asked for Castrol Oil change as they offered me that option.After waiting and waiting on the line for 30 min just to get my car key back ( oil change was done already) I found out by reading the receipt after I pay they put Pennzoil istead.Asked them why they did not put the right oil?First answer: There is no note for the requestMe: I requested it.You supose to put it there.Second answer: Go talk to the mechanic.Me: I have to talk to the mechanic?!?Then she finally went to talk to the mechanic.Third answer: They do not have Castrol outside.Bdw there is Castrol inside the store.Me: Why did not tell me before putting any oil in the car.I was here all the time.Fourth answer: No answer.Not even sorry about it.Left the store angry.I was quoted several hours waiting for a tire balance and rotation.Every time I go there is the same- 4 hours waiting for tire rotation I prepaid for. Half day for a tire rotation!!! Who can afford that???When you get tires from Walmart they say 40K miles warrantie. After 15K the tires are gone. You go back to Walmart and they go- Oh you did not do rotation therefore no warranties.Well Walmart you charge me for services you fail to provide and then make it my fault so you void event the warranty on the tires.You are SCAM!!!Never go there!!!
The tire prices are 25% cheaper than other places but you will wait much longer for service. Be prepared for that and youll be satisfied. On my past visit Rita and Eloise really helped me out in a pinch. I like buying tires from Wal-Mart since I travel a lot and can take advantage of the warranty almost anywhere in America, even if I have to enter the doors of the always busy Niles Wal-Mart.

Came in five minutes prior to closing with a nail in my tire and a bad attitude. Their manager Erman was so friendly and even said they didnt mind staying late to help me out. Not only did he help me, but he helped me get insurnace so when it happens again, they can fix for free. They are awesome thanks guys
I have a slow leak on my passenger rear tire. I have been working on my car for 17 years, and I know for certain its a valve stem leak. I came in - twice - to have them replace the valve stem, and each time they do something else, or tell me its because of another problem. And what do you know, I still have a leak. I called the manager and the manager said, and I quote, “Well, you have to stand out there and make sure they don’t do anything else than what you asked.” Wow really? That’s the customer’s job? Lazy and dishonest, I wouldnt trust these guys to pet sit my hermit crab, much less do anything to my car. Never again.
I called the tire department 2 times and was on hold for a hour no one said anything since I called just had me on hold something needs to be done
This auto center is a joke. It is 5pm and they cannot even do an oil change when they are open until 7pm. Then they point for me to park (obviously unable to use their words) just so that I walk all the way in so they can say they arent taking anymore cars. Just ridiculous. I will NOT ever be back here again. The laziest and worst customer service ever!!!
Brought my car here after getting a flat tire/leak. Guy found a big screw in the tire and quickly patched it. He also told me about an issue with the outer wheel cap. I was in and out in less than hour. Paid $10!!!!!! Bravo walmart!
Worst place you want to be, forget the staff, the two auto managers are rude, nasty impolite and have no sense of humanity. After three hours of waiting they closed the shop and even though they took my car in but they did not finish working on it, on the top of it the messed they ruined the cats electrical system. Great job Mr.Sam Walton, may be you want to change the Walmart logo with these morons you put in charge of your stores.
I would have given zero stars if I could.Hire employees who can give proper information and be polite! The other day a lady at auto care center was extremely rude! She was giving much attitude and not providing enough information. She even yelled at times when was asked some questions.Other thing that bothered me: i called the auto centre to know what time they were open untill and was told 7 to 7. I went there around 4:30 and they said they were not taking any more cars! Like seriously? Are you guys open untill 7 or not?!!

Negative ---100 👹👹👹. I wish it was a just a RIP-OFF they KILLED my ENGINE. I needed oil and front tires change. They changed my tire but did not change my oil. I wish they just didnt change my oil even worth they poured away my oil and did NOT put any oil. And did not notice it till about 3 weeks. When I noticed that my oil light was coming on and off quickly I thought oil should NOT be a problem cause I got it changed recently so I did not know. My car started sounding wrong but I had no clue water was going on till I decided to check the Oil level, it was ABSOLUTELY DRY and EMPTY but I was still stuped hoping it is just low and put 4 quarters of oil which that is how much my engine takes and realized they DID NOT put any oil in there. I should have done something against it but I thought something must have been wrong with my engine so it eating up the oil or something but it was very simple they just DIDNOT put any oil in there.As soon as they gave me my receite papers I looked it there were at list 10 other small services marked as done such as checking the lights, filters and other stuff among which there was a carpet vacuumed which was supposed to be a RED-FLAG to me cause it was 100 % NOT DONE. but I gave them benefit of doubt and said to myself I knew they DID NOT vacuum the carpet but they definitely must have changed the oil. But I was f....ng WRONG. When I realized all these it was too late for me to prove something or at list I thought it was too late.SO DO NOT GO THERE AT ANY COST. SAVE YOUR ENGINE.MY ENGINE IS SOOO BAD NOW BECAUSE I WENT THERE FOR SERVICE.
Called ahead and checked inventory for a tire that matched my existing set after a blowout. I brought in rim and they swapped out tire in about 30 mins at the price quoted. Checking in and paying was a bit clunky but I walked out satisfied. Price was about 30% less than Just Tires store.
Wouldn’t replce tires onto rims I bought 2 years ago and kept in the garage because it didn’t “look new”. There’s 100% tread on both tires.
They typically grossly underestimate the wait times. On this occasion they told me it would be an hour but it turned out to be 2.5 hours. The only reason I tolerate this place is for the $20 Pit Crew oil change. But, almost every time I go I regret it and wish I just went to Jiffy Lube.

If zero stars were an option, that is what they would get. I came in the evening prior an hour before closing, they couldn’t take any cars. I came back in the morning and was the second person in line. I’ve been here for an hour and a half and counting for something that takes 10 minutes.
I came at 3:30 on a Wednesday to get an oil change upon pulling up someone in the garage told me they were closed. They were working on other cars and I dont know why they couldnt help me at what online says is a normal business hour.
