Anne was so great. One of the most helpful employees that Ive had an experience with at Ulta beauty. She was very informed about all the products I was looking for, and honestly that was so helpful because it made my experience here right to the point and quick. I could not thank her enough. She deserves to be recognized for all she did for me and I am positive she is doing that with all your customers. I highly recommend this store because of Anne.

Today was the 2nd time I’ve shopped at Ulta. The service was fabulous. I can’t recall the persons name but she found the perfect foundation and blush for my skin. I was able to try it before I bought it as well. The checkout process was great as well. We asked for the receipt to be emailed. Later in the day I still hadn’t received it do I called the 800#. My email address was typed in as DOTCON not COM. After 30 minutes of incredible frustration with the agent, I hung up all called the store. Why the 800# couldn’t change the address is beyond me. I spoke with Stephanie who fixed my email address is less than a minute. Yay! Still can’t get my receipt but I have my points and I’m able to log in. Kudos to the staff at your store now you need to work on the 800 # (Also the odd lag time on the call is really off putting).

First time and I had a great experience

Its got the basics and the staff is super friendly! Since its not a large store it doesnt carry everything, but they can order it in for you.

I called in I can bring my dog on a leash and the person I had spoken to agreed. My dog goes to Ulta beauty in the city with no problem- they just lost a good chunk of the purchase and client.

Clean store and very friendly service. I was approached multiple times asking if I needed help, which I appreciate even though Im someone who is more of a solo shopper. Also very appreciative of the associate who kindly stepped away from the fixture she was working near so I could grab the product I was looking for, while still adhering to social distancing guidelines. Im closer to the Skokie location so I usually shop there, but I shop here every once in a while. Im surprised to see so many negative reviews about rude staff. The staff here has been friendly every single time Ive shopped here, pre-pandemic experiences included. Makes me wonder what kind of attitudes some of these people leaving negative reviews were giving. Ive worked in retail a long time, and I can count on one hand the amount of times Ive seen an employee give a customer undeserved attitude. Just saying.

It was fine, but like, they ask for a phone number three or four times. I get it, the rewards experience is great, but like, I said ‘no’ twice.

Drove 30 mins to pick up an item that put on hold, I called 30 mins prior to check for product availability. I arrived to the store and they lost my item within the hour. I wasted my gas and time going out of my way ( I live 35 mins away). I was very upset. All they could do is give me a “free shipping card”. I’m a platinum member so I already get free shipping and it’s out of stock online anyways. Very disappointing. So If you put an item on hold they might lose it.

From all the Ulta stores I’ve been I have to say this is the best one . The staff is very nice and polite . I’ve never heard any attitude on the contrary . Keep up the great work and great customer service skills.

After nearly 2 years of not cutting my hair I finally had to get it cut. I called ulta and was booked with Sam, what a lovely young lady. She listened to my concerns and made recommendations for what may be best for what I was looking for. End result a wonderful hair cut and style. I even had one of the other stylist (Jessie) helping out. Both ladies are fabulous and will for sure go back again!

Heres the e mail I wrote to [email protected]:My wife visited the store today located at:239 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714Once she entered the store, none of the workers offered to help her with anything, being busy chatting with each other.So, my wife started looking for the right colors for her eyebrows crayon...As soon as she touched a sample, the worker named Lauren jumped on her with a very rude attitude and no manners whatsoever saying:,, You know youre not supposed to touch anything!!! Wich my wife replied politely: Im sorry, I didnt know that Im not supposed to touch anything, how am I supposed to know what color I need?Lauren started to repeat again and again her first fraze, without even trying to help my wife. Very, very rude person. Im surprised she continues working in that store after such a horrible attitude towards customers.Reviews on Google maps prove the same thing...We are the owners of a very successful SPA in Niles, and were hoping to get more products from Ulta for our clients, but giving the recent encounter with Lauren, were going to take our business somewhere else.I hope the management will fix this issue and customers will enjoy going to the store.

I went in to the hair salon to inquire about getting some hair trimmed .... I spoke with a lady name Sam... I have gotten my hair cut on a regular basis at the Ulta in Evergreen Park... It was 25.00 that was cut and wash... My hair is naturally curly... So Sam says it 55.00 dollars to cut my hair and she was very rude to me... I felt she raised the price because she didn’t want to cut my hair, and that’s totally fine I didn’t want her cutting my hair... I asked about someone else and she rudely stated I don’t have any appointments available... I don’t and will not do business with this particular Ulta... Sam is very rude and nasty and she shouldn’t be a manager talking to people the way she spoke to me... Thanks but no thanks... 55.00 isn’t nothing to me but you won’t get it... 👍🏽

Im so happy they built one close to my home! The store is nice and big. The cashier was super helpful but i couldnt find any help on the floor when i needed to ask about eyebrow products. Other than that everything was great.

I was in town from Florida, and badly needed a haircut..happened to call Ulta and talked with Jeffery ...showed up for my appointment...and learned he just moved here from New York..received. One of the best haircuts ever..wish I could take him back to Florida with me..trust me you will not be disappointed..

One of the best experiences Ive had with an Ulta in the last decade, at least. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the store was well-stocked! I highly recommend visiting this location for your beauty needs.

Talk about uncomfortable! These three girls were beyond rude - ( will report them to corporate later tonight) standing around talking to each other and when approached the phoniness was disgusting. The one wearing the knee high boots and bad makeup started out okay and then progressively became uglier and hostile by the minute! The second one - telling me how great she was with a bitchy superior attitude also became uglier by the minute. She was beyond rude, and aggressive. Every time I asked her something - she was combative and insulted me! She was the so called makeup artist who could be bothered to show me how yo to a cat eye. She couldnt focus and her demeanor was unnerving! The other rude one with the knee high boots was also combative and nasty! Caught her looking me up and down trying to build the uncomfortableness. Little did she know or the other one- I see everything. They need to be terminated - giving this place a bad name. I left without purchasing one thing due to their disgusting behavior. I had 125.00 of product picked out! Whomever hired these losers need to be terminated as well! Gross ass place....do not go there!! Oh yeah, the third one, stood around aimlessly and wanted to gossip with the other two fools! Great place you have there ....Jesus! My business goes elsewhere-BLECH!!

I dont find myself shopping for make up personally, but my sister loves to visit this place a lot. When i went with her once i could see why. They have SO MUCH MAKE-UP. And some of it ranges from small and decent items for a cheap price, to luxourious and deluxe items that are really good quality. Basically, ultas got it all.

The girl I asked for help was very rude. She made it seem as if I was bothering her. When I told her there was I brand I did not like to wear, she still tried to get me to get it. Then when she was told to help later, she didn’t give any recommendations and just went to the first thing she saw. I was very disappointed and I usually love ultra, I even have the ultra credit card, but after this experience it has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I called the salon in this location to inquire if they had any stylist that had experience with styling African American hair. The stylist proceeded to tell me she had two clients in her chair and I should call another establishment. Looks like this location could use some cultural sensitivity and customer service training. I spend a lot of money at Ulta needless to say I will never shop at this location again.

The staff at Ulta were very helpful and they made a lot of effort to help find the starter kit that I was looking for gifting. I have very little knowledge of makeup products so they had to work on translating my vague descriptions to actual products.

Usually when you go to makeup store, the associate always help you to choose the make up according to your skin. I went here with my friend to buy product from mac and ask for opinion from associate. She was not very helpful and told us to pick whatever we like. Not so happy with our visit.

Definitely wont come back to this location. I came in to get all new foundation, primer, and setting spray but two of the three floor associates were too busy talking amongst themselves and the third was already dealing with 3 customers. When she finally was done with them she just hurried off the floor to somewhere. Your cashier was pleasant. This was my second time needing to grab stuff and the staff was less than helpful. I think Ulta would benefit from utilizing a secret shopping program and more training of their employees concerning customer service, and handling more than one customer at a time.I ended up making my purchase at Sephora instead. Even with one associate she did better than the staff at your location.

Came in on a Wednesday afternoon and most of employees (4 makeup associates) were chatting and doing each other’s makeup near the benefit counter and not approaching customers at all. No one could be found at the MAC counter - had to approach the entire group of associates to break up their convo.Having clear skin, I broke out the next day in the exact spot where the highlighter I purchased was applied, so beware of their brushes - make sure to ask them to clean them before any application.

This Ulta has stolen money from me! They put people of color though changes when returning an item; however, when a white woman right next to me returned something without a receipt they easily gave her store credit and asked her if she was okay with this form of payment. When I tried to return a gift that was not for my color, I told the employee I did not have a receipt because it was a gift, the employee called the sales manager. The sales manager then went to the back of the store with my products and alerted the store manager. The sales manager came back with my products, then began opening them and repetitively rubbing on the seals. After all this, the sales manager began processing the return and giving me a return value that was nearly half less than what the products are worth. When I saw this I told her I would ask the gifter for the receipt because I dont want to waste her money. She said, Oh no, I cannot do that. I already processed the return. The transaction cannot be canceled now. After the big deal she made everyone was looking at me. I just wanted my products back and for her to keep the store credit she offered me. I insisted I would try to get the receipt from the gifter and then return it for full value, but she refused and told me it was reduced for a reason.. The store manager then came out and stared at us from behind. The employees here are rude and extremely racist.I would NEVER encourage any person of color to EVER shop at Ulta. During this day and age, this type of treatment should have never occurred!

Horrible experience, Ive never felt so uncomfortable in a makeup store before. The employees act like they dont want you to buy anything! Walmart has better customer service than this Ulta location, Walmart of all places, its sad.

Last week I walked in to buy a new foundation shed and I went to purchase my product. The cashier Karla Martinez gave me terrible service she pointed out how my foundation shade didn’t match my complexion and questioned why I was buying it. She was so rude and said unnecessary comments causing me not to buy the foundation anymore. Honestly cashiers at Ulta should not question why customers buy a certain product. It does not concern them. The ulta at the Skokie location is so much better then the golf mill mall location. They have more qualified workers there.

It should be zero stars went in for a quick purchase at 8pm to come to find out they closed when the doors says they close 9pm so I’m finding it hard to figure out how they are closed an hour before they are scheduled to close? Also opening day was November 2nd but they opened the 3rd I had coupons for the 2nd but they didn’t grace it for me be cause “they expired.” These are already two incidents within a week not a good look at all.

Iv never been in an ulta because i dont shop there and the first time i actually try to go to the store they kick me out for no reason really 12 minutes of a diference than in the first place why they let me in? They shoulda told me the store wasnt open yet i woulda have respected that. But now i never want to go back to that store really disgusted by the behavior of the cashier.
