Came here for my birthday, and I was shocked that I had never heard of this place. First off, the atmosphere is so unique for a restaurant of it’s caliber. It like, kitschy/indie/quirky/classic all rolled into some weird chimera cafe.Secondly, the food is a 10/10. I asked the waitress to give us the Scrambled egg rolls as an appetizer and the portion was insane. It really was just a third meal, and it was so good!By the time we got to our main meals, we were on our third cup of coffee and already approaching maximum limit. However, we dove into the biscuits and gravy and bohemian wrap and loved them both. We were so stuffed, that we had to take the rest home, and I’m excited to finish my leftovers when when I can finally move.
Absolutely love this place. New holder in our top three breakfast spots. We just tried this place out today. First it is a great looking place. Totally unique and eclectic. The service was tops. Our food was totally unique and fantastic. We will be back for sure. Lastly, nice touch being able to order an espresso or drink while you wait. Too many places leave that wanting.
They were extremely busy the whole time I was there. The food is definitely worth the wait! Everything was perfectly prepared and made to order. Got a cinnamon roll to go, but they bring them out warm so I had to try it and its the best homemade roll Ive had in the 417! That alone is worth the short commute from Springfield.
My boyfriend and I have a weekend breakfast/brunch tradition. Every weekend we try somewhere new or cook together at home. Since trying Morning Day, weve failed on our quest to try new places because we keep returning!Ive never had a meal I didnt enjoy including the Scrambled Egg Rolls appetizer, the Hot Mess with avocado added, or the Rosemary Biscuit with Mushroom Gravy. As a vegetarian, I find plenty of options for me, both sweet and savory.This place gets incredibly busy on weekends. We usually look up their Google listing and click join waitlist to secure a spot in line. It shows how many parties are ahead, the size of those parties, how long each has been waiting, and it updates everyones place in line as parties are seated.We usually have to parallel park on the street. Not being familiar with Nixa, were not sure where we can park and have always been lucky to secure a spot on Main St.
I have eaten here many times and have always been super satisfied but today I was sadly disappointed. We placed an order to go and after picking it up we called back unsatisfied we were told to make sure we ordered differently next time. Disappointed indeed!
We just live in cape fair mo and we are always coming threw nixa or heading threw to Springfield and there is never really any good places to eat. Until we came across this gem. 🤗😊😁 Had never been before or heard about it till we was looking up restaurants in nixa while we were up getting our windshield fixed. Loved the food, (cant express that enough) 😄waitress was friendly and loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back. 💯
I had the bomblette omelet and let me just tell you, my mouth couldnt process all the flavor. The coffee is enough to wake you up let alone the slap in the face from the flavor explosion from their food. Best breakfast joint Ive been to👌
It was okay. I ordered basic egg breakfast; eggs over medium (bottom was crispy). Potatoes are the frozen kind and they pop them in the fryer. Hubby got the spinach omelette ($9) which comes with potatoes no toast. He asked for toast so the server substituted his potatoes rather than ask if he wanted an extra side (1 slice) of toast. Probably will never be back as there are many more really good places. The only part that was “good” was the ambiance. Everything else was average.
This was my first experience here but certainly wont be my last. The service, atmosphere, and the food all provided a successful event. The staff worked hard to serve everyone in a timely manner with professionalism. It was a birthday party that will be memorable and I will be returning to try more of the interesting menu items. Good choice for a party.
The food and beverages were absolutely outstanding. The staff were both friendly and efficient. This was our first visit and what we learned was too jump online and register for the wait list prior to just showing up like we did today. The quality and atmosphere made our wait well worth it though and we will return again to try out more of the menu for sure! Highly recommend!

Wowwww! Wish I could leave two 5 star reviews. They have such a delicious menu! I really want to try just about everything on it. Lots of yummy drinks and you can get a pot of hot tea. I wish they had a Springfield location. At least its not that long of a drive from Springfield. I think my top favorite thing was their white cheese sauce. And I was really amazed by their biscuit. Most restaurants have such bad biscuits. This one actually seemed homemade and perfect! I ordered the scrambled egg rolls and I tried my friends breakfast burrito and avocado toast and grilled cheese with tomato soup and everything was very delicious!
Absolutely amazing experience every single time! The food is delicious and the staff are truly kind. I went here last week with my mom and will be returning again this week. Good people!
Such a cool breakfast place with lots of architectural ambiance! The bar area is beautiful with all the rich wood and under-lighting. We loved our food too! Generous portions and it was very good service. Our waiter was good about suggesting add-ons to our drinks and taking care of us.
Had to wait a little while since they were pretty busy but really worth it! Kind of an eclectic atmosphere in an old downtown building. The menu has good variety and the food is great. I had The Bomblette and my wife had the Garden Grilled cheese. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the quality. If you arent in a hurry this is a must try.
WOW!! The food here is AMAZING! We did not call for a reservation and they still got us in within 40 minutes, and after eating here, I would wait over an hour. This is one of my new favorite places!
Made a reservation 2 hrs ahead once we showed up we were still waiting after our reservation time (I understand places can be busy, but come on). The host wasn’t aware of who needed to be seated in order. Kind of frustrating when u have hungry kids with you as well. But if they can maybe get more help and be more aware of their “list” we might come again, but until then we won’t be back. Great food but customer service needs help.
Was looking for a new breakfast spot and found these guys. Glad I did! It is easy to miss if you are not specifically looking for it and parking can be tricky if you do not know what you are doing but this is just a location issue and not their fault. I placed a to go order while I had an adult coffee which was very acceptable. The inside is very comfortable with two sections of seating, I only wish they had more room as it was busy (9am on a Sunday) but I had no issue waiting with my drink outside. I was greeted and thanked when entering and exiting by friendly staff who were all properly wearing facial covering. My order of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs and sausage and my adult coffee drink came to around $39 and took under twenty minutes which was just enough time to catch up on the news. The quality of the food was great. I understand why they are busy. I will recommend this place to friends and family and look forward to visiting on a weekend evening.
There is a unique atmosphere and they had lots of great and uncommon menu. The waiters were helpful and very friendly. Morning Day Café was worth the wait. There was one particular waiter that I was very impressed by and his name is Aaron. Me and my mom were here and he was caring fast to help us . I really appreciated him and his help.

I wish there were more places like this in town! The vibe is excellent—super cute decor, very friendly staff. Its right across the way from a public parking lot, if youre like me and hate parallel street parking lol. My friends and I all ordered different items from the menu and were surprised by how generous the portions were for the price! And of course, my caprese sandwich was delicious. :) I 100% would visit again!
First get on the list if you are going there on the weekends. told it was a 45 min wait but was 64 mins. Really engaged and service driven staff, you almost wowed by this. the food is very plentiful so even if your crazy hungry from waiting they have large portions. first time there the flights of bloody Marys were kind of cool. they specialize in coffee and wonderful teas. the food was great. we are going there every weekend till I try everything on the menu. never got my spicy pickles and Im a purist for pickles. absolutely one of the best brunch spots ever!!! and we go to alot of them. would have gotten 5 star but long wait (our fault did use app) and miss the pickles. this is a must go place!!!so carried away with food forgot to take pictures
Omg, this place was awesome. The food was soooo good. And a must to start off breakfast egg rolls . My only complaint, so many good things on the menu....its hard to decide what to get. I will be going back a lot!

Everything about this restaurant was amazing; food, atmosphere, and service. Starting with the food I had the Belgian waffle and it was so good, the syrup was on another level of good. My either had the hot mess, it has just enough heat to keep you on your toes but was also a punch of flavor to the mouth that I loved. Service was very fast when we got in. Altogether I want to eat there again tomorrow and every day.
We were just driving through Nixa,MO and was looking for a unique place to have a nice lunch. We sure are glad we came across this fabulous little cafe. Great atmosphere, awesome food and very friendly. If you have a chance to check this wonderful place out, you should do it. Highly recommended
We had a very large group and our server was friendly and attentive. The menu was extensive and creative and I had trouble deciding what to get. I wasnt disappointed with the rosemary biscuit with mushroom gravy - it was insanely tasty.
Went there on Mothers Day 2021. Purchased 4 tickets at $50/each to the Brunch upstairs. There was like four things at the all you care to eat brunch buffet, all of which were cold. It was one of the saddest brunch buffets Ive ever seen. There was only one serving station for what appeared to be over 100 people.On top of that, there was cafeteria/community style seating. At no point was it explained to us that we would be sharing a table with another family. They were lovely, but I was there to celebrate with my mother, not a family Ive never met before.As someone who spent years in the service industry, and working several Mothers Day brunches with proper spreads, this was extremely disappointing. I paid $200 for a brunch that I wouldnt have paid half of that for, had I known.Im sure they are just fine with their normal dine-in service, but the Mothers Day upstairs brunch was atrocious and I will likely not be trying it again.
Probably I am not coming back. I went here three times before write that. I had to wait more that 25 minutes every time for my order. I was with my kid one time and they served him very soon. He was done, very done and tired to wait when I had my food on the table. Very disappointed with the pla es and I gave them three opportunities. Just take away coffee for me from this place.

Had a late morning breakfast here on a Sunday. My sister ordered the Farmers Omelette and I had the Bomblette. Our food was delicious and our waiter was friendly and did a great job.It was very busy, so be sure to get your name on their online wait list so you wont have a long wait at the restaurant. It worked out perfectly for us.Overall, we had a great experience and I will be back!

Food is fantastic, coffee even better, and they do gluten free and will check ingredients if you have allergies. I would give them 5 stars but they have one young server that always disappears. He has waited on me 3 of the 5 visits and is a total Houdini after the order is taken; no food check, no drink refills, no bill. This last time someone else brought my food and found out we hadnt gotten our drinks, the bus person got me a refill and then she had to find me someone to cash me out after we had been done for almost 30 minutes. They clearly are understaffed, but tolerate some really bad work habits.

Very very good place to eat and just hang out and enjoy a good cup of coffee or espresso they have their own exclusive menu with unique and very good blends you will not find anywhere else.Same with the food menu all exclusive unique meals you will not find at any other restaurant anywhere. All their meat and vegetables all local grown and delivered by local farmers. Just a really nice setting and great people and employees.I highly recommend a stop here if you’re in the area or just passing through. Also I didn’t get pictures of because it was under construction at the time but they will be opening another side as an addition to the current dining area it will feature a full bar and additional seating. They also have on display art from local artist that change regularly which they sell and donate the money to people in need in the area. They were talking about having a hemp infused drink selection and I mentioned to them about adding some hemp infused meals to the menu so you never know we will see what happens but I guarantee one thing you will have a great experience at the Morning Day Cafe’

This is the local cafe you want in your town and we are so lucky to have it in ours. From the moment you walk in the door, everything is quaint and the staff is very friendly. The options on the menu are amazing and it was hard to pick just one. So enjoyable and we will be back!

Locals might not quite understand the big city concept yet, but thats okay.I appreciated that the staff didnt seat people instantly in order to not overwhelm the serving staff or the kitchen.Whenever Im passing through Nixa again, I will be back. Went last weekend with my friend and it was AMAZING. We started with the breakfast eggrolls, they were amazing. I had the hot mess & loved it. Try the lavender espresso, you wont be sorry. It made me sing.
Pretty cozy place to eat! Nice atmosphere and usually pretty clean. I also LOVE the fact that they have a Safe Space sticker on their window for people who are LGBTQ+! Very cool and progressive! The menu is good but I wish they had more variety for Vegans. Of course you can always ask to sub or take away something. They are super accommodating. The price point is a bit expensive for me so I would not come here often. However, the food you do get is quite a lot and filling. The staff there are pretty friendly and usually try to be communicative about things. The ONLY downside to going there (and this is not their fault) is that it can get SUPER busy on Sundays. Especially during the afternoon. I like that they try to space out customers and leave some tables empty for social distancing. I am not sure how strict they are about masks since once you sit down to eat you can take off your mask so I really can’t tell if they originally had a mask walking in or not. Either way you can always order pick-up if you don’t want to dine in. Overall a good place. I would give five stars if there were more variety on the menu and the prices were a bit lower. ✌🏻

Have been to Morning Day Cafe twice so far, really enjoyed it both times. Trendy environment, 2 seating areas, quick service. I had the hot mess, the poblano cheese was a nice touch, really yummy. My infant really enjoyed some fresh avocados mashed up. Will say my husband and 10 yr old did not care for the bacon gravy at all, but the restaurant was nice enough to comp my husbands when they noticed he didnt eat it. The kids meals are served on a frisbee. Tge breakfast menu is a tad bit pricy, but the food is good! Will definitely try some of the lunch items sometime and they do a weekends only special evening menu called Nite Bites wed like to try also!

Apparently Morning Day Café is taking on the same I.D. check that Colorado has enforced. Insisting that you have your ID with you. As a 54 year old woman, I was unable to order a drink because I failed to bring my ID with me. This is beyond ridiculous. We have been at this restaurant many many times & have never been checked for our ID, because my husband & I are obviously senior citizens. Food was great but the waitress was not pleasant & not very attentive after she wouldn’t serve me.

I have a gluten allergy and appreciate that they mark the gluten free options. Great job Morning Day Cafe!
One of our favorite spots. The Hot Mess Dip with Root chips will keep you coming back. They have a full bar and amazing coffee drinks any way you like, hot, iced or blended.
From what I hear they have a nasty habit of not properly paying former employees for the hours they worked. So sad to see bad management run off good employees for the sake of looking cool, but to withhold pay as well, they should be ashamed of themselves.

THE best place for chicken and waffles around. Brunch is always delicious and my kids love ordering their fancy chocolate milks after church! Their decor around the holidays is always next-level and makes the dining experience so enjoyable.

The menu was creative and appropriately priced. Ive not come across anything in Springfield as welcoming, and down right pleasant yet. It was absolutely worth the drive to Nixa, MO.They offer a variety of both coffee/espresso drinks, as well as alcoholic beverages.I had the Scrambled Egg Rolls, offering 1 Bacon&egg, 1 Sausage&egg, and 1 Avocado&egg, served with queso AND house made bacon gravy for dipping options...Every aspect of the early morning meal seemed to bring a little more joy into this cynics existence. Observing the genuine pride in the servers description of menu items, and the sketches on the walls, I felt hope for humanity brewing within me. There seemed to be REAL passion in the development of this establishment. Yes, these feelings may have been aided by the double shot of espresso in my Lavender something Cappuccino (usually a straight black coffee guy), but still.I know what youre thinking, Jeez Bud, thats some pretty heavy shtuff for a hump-day starter. This is a really cute hidden gem, 1920’s industrial steam punk atmosphere thats funky and awesomely decorated restaurant with an amazing menu, great friendly and accommodating service and really good food!! We had the muffin sampler with moist and delicious muffins that come with fruit and yummy homemade jam(doesn’t need it), flavorful Monte Cristo(can’t really find these anywhere)and a Spicy sausage burrito with habanero cheese sauce that was absolutely perfect...sooo good!! Highly recommend this great restaurant in Nixa! Call ahead to get on the list as they are appropriately busy!

We have watched this place on IG. (Their marketing on IG is killer) the real experience didn’t disappoint.Food was amazing. The Scrambled Eggrolls were exceptional. The Fork and Knife (recommended by Josh the Bartender) were everything. Wonderful cocktails and amazing beer on tap. Side note: shared bathroom (don’t care what’s your political views are) shared bathrooms scare me personally for cleanliness purposes. This was the cleanest cutest bathroom I have ever been in. This is a go to!!! We will be back.
