Im a traveling mechanic from Ohio and always looking for local places to support. Had a great experience here this morning. The ladies were very polite and the coffee was delicious!

Beware of up charges. We let them know this was our first visit, and when we ordered two $4 coffees I feel they should have explained the up charges to us. After I read the receipt I saw that my coffee had a $1.25 up charge on it and my husbands had 50 cents. I asked them what the 50 cent up charge was for and they said it was the size. My husband never specified a size when we ordered the two $4 coffees. The coffees were good and the desserts were also good.

Good coffee, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. Always enjoy my visit when Im in the area.

Massive downhill slide…nothing Australian at all about this place except the name. All the Australian decor is gone…no Australian food is sold here…it’s just a millennial coffee shop with an Australian name. Nothing Aussie at all about this place.

Has a very comfortable atmosphere. The service can be slow but only when they get busy and depending on what you order. But it is always worth the time. The coffee is top shelf and the muffins are great! And they also make a delicious breakfast sandwich too. Trying out a orange pineapple smoothie today, its fantastic!

We had our daughters 1st Birthday at Walkabout & it was perfect! The staff went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect for us. Perfect, cozy environment with delicious coffee! What more could do you ask for?! This took all of the birthday party planning stress away! We will be back next year!

I decided to try the new drive thru option and it did not disappoint. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. And I pulled right up and got out fast, not slowing down my morning. I will be back for sure.

Coffee was delicious. Service was quick. 9/10. Only issue was that the cup leaked in my car and made it very sticky, but that is not their fault.

Looks like your ordinary coffee shop on the outside, but on the story changes on the inside. Couches placed cozily throughout the shop, along with tables and chairs. Books. A guitar to play, if anyone cares about that, but to me, that’s awesome to just chill and play that’s *not* at home. Definitely a try. :)

Great coffee with fun Australian inspired names and a quiet atmosphere. It is a great place to get some work done or have a meeting.

The atmosphere was very inviting and relaxing. I absolutely loved the decor it had and overall 10/10. Will be a returning customer.

The aesthetic and over-all look of the place is beautiful - very pleasing and has a comfortable atmosphere with comfortable seating. The coffee names are interesting and fun (also very fitting to the theme of the shop) and they taste amazing. This was my first time visiting and I had an iced road kill - it was excellent and I definitely want to visit again!

Walkabout Coffee is by far my favorite coffee shop! Their drinks are wonderful and i love the atmosphere there. When I have the extra time I enjoy reading while I drink my coffee. They have several sitting areas that are comfortable and with enough room that I dont feel as though Im too close to others. The staff is always pleasant and inviting. And Im happy to say that Kelsey makes the best hazelnut lattes!

We have always loved going there. It is a nice place to meet. However, since it has sold to the new owners we question whether or not the coffee is the same as it was with the original owner. One of our reasons for going was the great decaf. Lately we have experienced indigestion after drinking decaf. from there. They need to return to the original decaf. coffee blend.

I used to go here to meet up with friends and have a coffee. Their coffee is great, but the ambiance has changed to a cold feeling with the new paint and decor. Ill still come to get coffee... to go.

Avocado toast was good but quite bland.

The updates have turned an old favorite meeting place into a new favorite! Everything feels fresh and modern without losing the coziness that makes it the perfect place to meet a friend. Drinks are great with sugar free and decaf options.

This place is for the actual coffee lovers. Not the burnt coffee with lots of syrup and sugars to cover the horrible coffee *cough cough* Starbucks *cough cough*. My husband and I tried this place today. I ordered a vanilla latte and expected to have at minimum, half my drink filled with sugars/syrups and was pleasantly surprised when the sweet flavor was about as minimal as you can get. This means that this places relies on the actual taste of their coffee which was suburb! My husband had their drip coffee. Fairly priced! Talking with the staff felt like talking with people we knew. Very pleasant and personable. We will definitely be back. I will probably be back tomorrow! Lol

I had to change my 5 stars to 4 only because they took away my favorite drinks that featured coconut

Weve visited this coffee shop 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Each time its a different price for the same thing, it depends on their employee who rings you up. Theres one lady who is super nice, the rest of their staff needs to be fired. Im sure its killing their business. The coffee is extremely bitter. We wont be back, we will instead support a different local coffee shop. They nickel and dime you to death.

Awesome place to grab a coffee! They have blended coffee!! The staff are wonderful and the environment they have created is the coziest and most inviting of all coffee places. Lots of big fluffy chairs, reading books with books or a quiet conversation. Ask the barista for a recommendation on a drink and you cant go wrong. So glad I discovered this amazing little nook, I will be back next time I am in Nixa!

The greatest coffee shop in, not only Nixa, but the greater Springfield area. The owners are some of the kindest, most hard working people youll ever have the pleasure of meeting.

We rented out the shop for my husband’s surprise 50th bday party...what a great experience!! David was great to work with and very accommodating. I provided a catered dinner, open coffee bar, and karaoke. Our guests had so much fun! Thank you Walkabout for making my husband’s big bday so special!!!!!

Visiting family in town, needed some good local coffee...and I found it! Friendly barista, nice cozy atmosphere, and delicious espresso.

First time visiting to see baby Kangaroos. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, we will go back again for sure. Tried a berry smoothy, it was good but very seedy. Kiddos loved the danishes and they gave my infant a free banana. Were looking forward to our next visit.

What a nice surprise! Looking around for a little something for a late breakfast and coffee. Was fortunate to have discovered this very nice place. Enjoyed the house blend coffee and an excellent Aussie Meat Pie.

I come here a lot and I really love the coffee. However, I think there are a lot of things they could improve on. First off, the service is very iffy. Sometimes I will get a very friendly staff member who will have my drink out in 5 min tops. Other times I will get a rude staff member who will take 45 min to get my drink out. The longest time I’ve waited is 50 min and there were only a few other customers in the store. Secondly, they don’t have prices anywhere for any of the drinks. Lastly, some of the drinks are very overpriced for what’s in them and how good they are. I would rate the coffee 5/5, but the service and waiting time for a simple drink is definitely a 1/5. Great place to come if you have an hour to spare to wait on a drink.

Super relaxed space, great for hanging out with friends, homework, or work meetings. They have so many options for drinks! Coffee, snacks, tea, etc! So many options! Great, cozy corners to tuck into and games!

This coffee shop is great! Ive been to Australia and hadnt found anywhere to get Aussie meat pies until today. Very very good! The atmosphere is great! I sat on a comfy couch and worked for a couple of hours and they were incredibly nice! Thank you for the great experience and I hope to see you all soon!

Walkabout Coffee shop is an authentic Australian Coffee Shop in the Ozarks. The owner is from Australia himself and is pretty nice to talk to if you run into him. They have some biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage that is really above par.Personally, I go for the Roadkill Frappecino when Im in the area.Atmosphere is really relaxed and unassuming. Australian decorations give a pleasant but not overbearing aesthetic.

Good coffee, friendly staff, plenty of space to hangout away from people. They even have a couple of rooms for meetings.

I had a vanilla latte, one of my standard things to try at a new coffee place. The owner was very humble and polite. He explained some of the menu items that I want familiar with and had my coffee out to me quickly. Ive recommended several people to try it out and see for yourself.

For my first time going, they were super kind and helpful as I was trying to order. They were super kind and patient too! The food was amazing and I loved the atmosphere. 10/10 will definitely go again!

We went for coffee and endless biscuits and gravy and both were fantastic. Its a cute little shop. And a heads up when you go in go up to the counter to put your order in and then have a seat, I guess we thought it was more like a dinner rather than a coffee shop.

Very cozy place. The red couch in the middle sinks you in which is nice. Prices arent bad. And there is a interesting food item there called a meat pie. Havent tried it yet but my friend has and he says it taste good just different.

One of the best coffee shops in the area, great friendly staff, locally owned and managed, and great coffee drinks, pastries, fruit based drinks and smoothies, and flavored drinks. The atmosphere is very nice the lighting is perfect all day, the restrooms are clean, the entire restaurant is Australian themed, and done very tastefully. They have a TV with rolling footage from some beautiful Australian scenery, and have books about Australia. Not to mention, they have good games and card games for you to meet up and play with friends or entertain the kids for a comfortable parents get together. And once a month they host an open mic night. This truly is a unique place to get coffee or a pastry with friends.

They have great coffee and the theme is on point. Its a great place at which to hang out and catch up with friends. However, I will say that I had my friend try their (amazing) Vegemite sandwich and they did not like it, (I of course did). I guess Vegemite isnt for everyone.

This place is the best! Theyre happy to make almond milk lattes and drinks, always super friendly, and always tasty. Ive called in an order for a drink to get in and out quickly and they were wonderful about it. I like the atmosphere as well, cool books and fun stuff to look at.

Love it here! The quiet ambiance perfect for studying or important meetings, the best tasting coffee this side of Springfield and the Australian decorations are awesome. Plus the owner is always nice and willing to have a pleasant chat.

Love the Australian theme here. Lots of drink options to choose from! Ive never had something I didnt like. Theres a few options for food here as well but Ive never tried anything. Worth checking out if youre headed to Nixa!

I stopped there after work. First time I was there. So friendly. I had a latte and it was Great. I bought a sausage roll for breakfast the next day. Heated up easily and it was delicious.

First time here. I picked White Chocolate & Chocolate from the menu. I wanted to try something new and I expected this one to be very sweet, but it wasnt. It was just right. And the server was very nice.

I love the atmosphere and the friendly employees. I also enjoy the fact that you can talk about God and not get funny looks. Also the food is really good.

We finally got an opportunity to visit Walkabout while a snowstorm was occurring in Nixa. As a result we and a handful of Patrons had the entire Coffee Shop to ourselves.I would gladly give this Coffee Shop and its relaxed and laid back ambiance an enthusiastic 5 stars. We had heard word around Nixa that it was a great place for coffee and conversation and I wholeheartedly agree.Do yourself and your friends a huge favor and visit this coffee shop at your first opportunity. They also lserve a delicious assortment of hot sandwiches although we werent there for the lunch offerings. just a delicious Chai Tea Latte and a plain Coffee Latte.I would highly recommend this as your soon-to-be favorite coffee stop...

Cool place to visit. I had a good pinapple smoothie, and watched Reruns of Steve Irwin Crocodile Hunter on their tv. Nice atmosphere.
