Great service, great prices, the staff was very welcoming and took care of me. Randy the manager was very courteous and explained everything about the car (the good and the bad) very well and made a list of recommendations based on mileage and safety. I had an oil change scheduled at the East Norriton location for today at 8am. Ive been here since 8am and they havent even started servicing my car yet. Its now 9:52am. The supervisor told me I have two guys that do oil changes, theyre supposed to be here at 8am, neither of them are here. At 9:15am I asked him if hes called them and does he know if theyre coming in. His response was no and I dont know. This is absolutely unacceptable. The customer service at this location is nonexistent.

I have been using this Pep Boys location for a couple of years but over the past six months, the staff members have become rude and really do not care about their customers or providing customer service. I have had scheduled appointments for basic car services and my vehicle did not receive service. When I have asked why my vehicle didnt receive service, the staff never has an explanation or care. The older staff was very professional in the past. I would not recommend this location, customer service and professionalism has deteriorated tremendously. Take your time and money to a different Pep Boys location.

Such a rude and dishonest people working there. I had to reschedule 4 times in one week as each time they said different excuses to not work on my car. At the end, when I droped my car, and came back after 3 hours without any call notice, they said the adapter was broken. They wasted my time 4 times for 30 min driving and 3 hours waiting.Never stop by this store again.

Absolutely no help whatsoever in getting my trailer tire changed. Refused to remove it from the trailer abuse it required a floor jack instead of an in-ground lift. Made the customer stand out in the pouring rain to change his own tire. Great customer service guys. Way to goLost my companies business nationwide today.

Let me start this off by saying that shen is a great guy inside and outside of pep boys. He helped me when i had a flat tire on the side of the highway when i didnt have a spare. He had some plugs in his car and took 5 minutes and i was back on the road. I asked him how he knew how to do it and he said he worked at this location from now on ill be coming to this location for all of my repairs. Amazing people, roger is very polite and josh is amazing at explaining everything i need to do. Love this place.

Do not go here. They are not worth the money and customer service is terrible. They never called me when my car was ready. Told me it would take them an hour and a half. I called after four hours and they told me it was ready. Also they told me they could patch my tire then when I came back to pick up my car they told me it couldnt be patched. However, no one informed me of this and my car wasnt ready. So I had to wait while they put a new car on. They rushed to put the tire on and now my sensor is going off and now my car shakes if I go any faster than 50 MPH. I had no problems with my car prior to going to this place.

I was here 3 days ago got 4 new tires put on . Last night my tire fell off . Spent my entire day got here at 9 today at pep boys for them to fix . I left 6hr later. within less than an hour I am back at pep boys with the same noise that was happing prior to tire falling off .

I called to make an appointment today and the guy at the desk told me to come in at 5:30. I did and he said they were busy. I asked if I could actually make an appointment for tomorrow and he said to just come in between 3:30 and 4:00. I told him that’s what I just did today and clearly that didn’t work. He wouldn’t make an actual appointment so I guess I’m not going here.

DONT GO HERE!! THIS PLACE COULDNT BE WORSE!! I’ve paid a lot of money just to FIX the issues they’ve caused the two times I’ve been here. Both times I’ve been here they’ve caused more problems than they solved. Last time I was there I had them change a tire and as soon as I left, the tire light was flashing (which means the sensor is malfunctioning). I called them and they tried to sell me all new sensors. I went to another place to have them looked at (since the sensors were changed only a few months ago) and they said pep boys had broken the sensor and tried to cover it up by completely REMOVING it from the tire. I had a very similar experience the first time. On top of all that, their customer service sucks and they’re a lot more expensive than the other tire places on Germantown.

I am a loyal customer and like this store, but this was the worst experience Ive ever had. Scheduled a state inspection for 11 am and arrived 15 minutes before. At 12 pm my car was still in the parking lot. When I informed the desk worker I had to leave he returned my keys without comment, no explanation nor an apology. I really expected better customer service than this! Update: I was told that senior management would contact me within 48 hours to discuss my experience. That was 4 days ago and I havent heard from them. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

This no star feedback since I had no service done at this location I went online and made an appointment for oil change I came 10 min before my appointment the guy at the register ( rude ) told me I have to wait 1h and half - 2 hours for oil change had to walk out and take my business somewhere else where I treated like human not a number coz I’m sure if I was here for a service that cost more they will take me immediately

I had been buying tires and having my serviced at Firestone for years. Ive had complaints, but nothing worth crying about. But Ive never been refused service like I had yesterday. I walked out of the office at 5pm to find that I had two flat tires, I must have picked a some nails earlier in the day. So, I used a portable compressor to fill the tires just so I can get it to the 2738 W Ridge Pike location that is about a mile from my office. Its 5pm and they close at 7pm and i was told they couldnt possibly fix the tires today. But I could take the car to the 14 w Germantown Pike location that isnt that busy. Which was an understatement because there excuse was that they were too slow and know one was working. I guess except the man I spoke to. There was one customer waiting and one car in the garage. Did he send everyone home early? So refused again and all the while Im nervous my tires were not going to hold air as I drive across town from location to location. Fortunately, there was also a Pep Boys down the street also. I went there and they were open until 9pm. I didnt explain my situation any differently than I did to either firestone location, I didnt even mention I had been there first, and they to my car. I didnt expect it to be quick, I didnt expect to be take immediately, but I did expect someone to take my car. And the cherry on top is that, Pep Boys got me on the road home and waved the charges. The only time I had ever shopped at Pep Boys was to buy a car battery that I installed myself. Needless to say, Firestone lost a long time customer and Pep boys gained one.

Got a new tire to replace a flat here. I had left the tools out in my trunk after I changed the flat, they went above and beyond to clean everything up and put the tools away and returned my spare tire back to its compartment. Will definitely come back here again!

I was on the phone for 20 minutes attempting to get someone in the accessories department to pick up the phone. So when I transferred the call to the tire department, and then to the service department at least they answer the phone but all they did was transfer me back to the accessories department where I told them no one was answering the phone, and again no one answer the phone? So I drove to the store which closed at 5 PM, they were closed at or before 4:50pm??? Just tried to call again for a specific question and no one answers the phone, lousy...And then I drove from King of Prussia to East Norriton because I was told that they had the specific paint that I needed. Once I get to the store they didn’t have any of what they have listed online, awesome..

This place was super awesome to me. Went in with a vibration in the while driving and josh the service manager took care of me. He got me in the shop in a good amount of time and even took the time to show me my tire ware and a slightly bent wheel that I would have never had know about had he not shown me. I’d recommend this place for any needs you may have automotive wise. Very knowledgeable.

My daughter was about to take her driving test and one of the brake lights was out. And we only had 45 minutes to get back in order for her to take the test. The manager and workers changes it in record time and she was able to take her test and passed!

I used to like this location a lot and I did a lot of major jobs there: I changed all wheels, all tires, all brakes...etc. But currently the quality of service has gone down the drain. The current manager M.S. is one of the most ill-tempered, peevish, disagreeable persons that Ive seen. Last time I got service there he answered every one of my perfectly reasonable questions by raising his tone and putting me in my place. He cut months off of my inspection for some silly reason, and refused to discuss any solutions to the problem I was having. I am certainly not going back to that location, you can thank your newly appointed management team for that !

It used to be a nice place but seems like the quality of costumer service deteriorated. The prices varied from the other locations. The manager is so ill tempered that he starts to fight instead of a simple explanation. I am been using pep boys for all the servicing needs for past 3 years and for my 2 cars and I was never treated this bad.I just left the place without the service done and will never go for any of my servicing.

This Pep Boys is terrible the manager Tim is rude and they sell poor quality merchandise and don’t let you return it. I pretty much just got robbed for $104 for seat covers I bought for my truck. I bought them two weeks ago and they started to fray so I took them off showed the manager what they were doing and he told me that not his problem... thanks Tim !

Needed a tire plugged over the weekend and of course dealerships have limited hours, so I called Pep Boys in East Norriton and was greeted by Josh in the Service Department. From the moment I called till it was time they completed the plug, Josh and the staff were nothing but helpful and professional. My car was attended to in the amount of time he suggested it would take and I was able to take a picture to file for an insurance claim. Dont hesitate to do business with them.

Pretty much only good for cleaning supplies and any fluids you need. You are better off purchasing any parts you need online. You can find parts cheaper and are guaranteed to find it online somewhere. Even if you need something right away there are other places you can go. All of the other novelty car parts they have are pretty cheap but could be found online or in other stores. If you are looking for car services, there are a ton of local shops that will probably perform a better job and for cheaper than this place.

Clean store. Overheard associate at the parts counter, very patient with a difficult customer. He asked lots of questions to ensure he was getting exactly what the customer needed, even gave options for customer to shop at home for items not in store stock. I was greeted by an older gentleman, another was working at a counter, didnt offer help but I easily couldve asked. Location has service center, parts and vehicle sales.

With an older car you never can expect things to be perfect, understanding that I try to be flexible. Even after my car is repaired if there is any errors, or problems still existing they do a good job of working toward getting a resolution, repair.The Customer Service of is A+ Chris and Andrew are both super friendly, helpful, and excellent at communicating, any issues or suggestions they might have. Additionally they do a great job of following up after the visit in order to make sure your repairs have been done to your expectation, and if they arent they are eager to bring you back in until you are satisfied.

I went for a new battery a month or so ago and they made the experience extremely easy and very quick. Then today I went in for windshield wipers. I get to the aisle and start looking through the pamphlet they have that helps you find what wipers fit your car. I was so confused. An employee named Louie seen me and came to me right away, took me over to his computer and found me what I need right away. He was awesome and very helpful! Even got my price lowered! Then I had them install them,(which they do for free)and those guys did it in like a minute. I was impressed because I was expecting to wait atleast 10-15 mins. Thank you for making all of my experiences far from intimidating like car garages do!

Agree with other customer reviews about how this location is not what it used to be!Wiper purchase/installment done at the E. Norriton location. Purchased 2 Rainx blades to replace “squeaking” not “streaking” wipers. This store charges $17.00 EACH, double the price than other places, but I didnt do my homework beforehand. Anyhow, thats not my complaint as I wouldnt mind paying for something IF it did what its suppose to do. My complaint is that the driver side streaks beyond acceptability with these so called new and NOT IMPROVED wipers.So I return to Pep Boys thinking maybe the wiper/wipers were not installed correctly and/or to find out why the new blades (actually one) is streaking when my original 2-year old blade didnt have that problem. The service desk (tech?) Mr.I hate my job offered a plethora of reasons why the blades might not be working well, in addition to stating that they were non-refundable!! It was only due to my persistence that this employee got up from his chair to check them out. He didnt even ask for my keys to turn the car on. Dont you need to see how theyre streaking? So after waiting a bit, I tell myself to go out there and see if he needs my car turned on. He proceeds to tell me that there are microscopic chips on my windshield causing the problem, of which I see nothing of the kind. Hmm, really? Then why didnt my original blades have this issue? He then offers to switch out the one blade. He returns with another blade (same brand I hope, I dont know?) which produces even more streaking than the one he just swapped!After coming up with another plethora of excuses as to why this might be happening, i.e., sap, dirt, film, yadda yadda, which strangely doesnt seem to effect the passenger side, he said I probably need beam wipers!! I did some homework on those this time, and of course they cost even more!! Now let me understand this, Im suppose to try a variety of different blades that are non-refundable until I find the right one? Heres a tip! The next time you replace wipers (free) for a customer, why not test them first before he or she drives out of the lot and/or give the customer the empty package that the wipers came in? But why do that if you tend to make even more $ by making your blades non-refundable, something that is NOT conveniently disclosed during the time of service; No, not until you have a problem!

Ive had poor service from Pep Boys before, mainly from the store part. However, I recently received exceptional service from the Pep Boys here when I took my car in for an oil change. Marcia at the customer service desk needs to be fired. The attitude I received from this woman was unbelievable. I went in for a straightforward tire repair, as I had a nail stuck in my tire. I just wanted to inquire about what the failure criteria was in terms of rejecting a tire repair service to a customer based on the condition of the tire. Instead of a response to my question I was given an attitude that was synonymous to telling me to shut the hell up and go away. Not only this, but she then proceeded to talk down to me as if I was a child who knew nothing. Professionalism is incredibly lacking with this employee. Ive been here a few times before and though the service never takes the amount of time that you are quoted, at least the employees Ive dealt with were courteous and expressed some sort of sympathy for my wait. Marcia lacked professionalism, courtesy, and simple customer service skills. Some education for this employee would be recommended.

This place is THEE WORST. Do not go here. I came in for a simple wheel alignment and they managed to have virtually every indicator (transmission, brake, battery, etc.) illuminated on the instrument panel! My car later broke down and I had to have it towed to the dealership where I should have gone in the first place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. They are rude, condescending and take no responsibility for their incompetence.

I took my car to Pep Boys when my tire blew out as I was driving home. I walked in very stressed and upset. Their customer service, specifically Chris and Andrew, completely calmed me down and were extremely helpful through the entire process. They answered all of my questions and I left feeling 100% better than when I first walked in. I would recommend this Pep Boys to anyone in the area who needs service to their car.

Pep Boys is an auto shoppe that just gets you what you ask for, no fluff, no outrageous up-selling or unneeded sales rants. From my experience this is refreshing. It may have been only my experience; but I walked in and handed over my old, dead battery to the sales person who took me to the selection of new options for my vehicle. They mentioned the brands and warranties for each, I selected the one I had researched, and then we were on the way to the register and nearly halfway through checkout before I had to answer any more questions. A no-nonsense store in the midst of many that will blatantly give you parts that dont even fit your car is a fresh sight. I will certainly be returning here again.

My car developed serious power steering problems. I took it in for service on a very busy Saturday morning. Chris, the service manager, was very helpful and honest.Because of the volume of repairs already slated for that day, and because parts had to be ordered, I didnt expect my car to be finished until Monday evening. After the initial check, Chris phoned me to talk about the problem. Not only did he explain the problem in common folk vernacular, but he willingly entertained all my questions with patience and concern. Fortunately, the work was completed late that evening and I picked my car up the next morning. It works great! Thank you to the knowledgeable repair technicians that helped me this weekend and Chris, in my book, you ARE Mr. Pep Boy! Manny, Moe, and Jack can be proud of you and your team! Thank you again!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Had a nail right in the tread. They told me it was in the sidewall and I would need a new tire... and that my back tires were low and that if Im going to get 2 new back tires I should also get 2 new front tires. Bill was $1,000. Thankfully I declined. I took to my local mechanic who plugged the tire for me for FREE. He and the other men in this shop were hysterically laughing at how Pep Boys tried to scam me. I will NEVER go here again.

I have to say, one of the best experiences I have had.From out of town, my truck broke down and I had it towed here at night. I talked to Mark. He was working on the problem when I talked to him.Turned out to be a water pump. He had an opportunity to fix any number of things. Frankly, not knowing the area, or the options, I was concerned bringing it someplace I didnt know.Mark was up front, told me what he needed to do, and did nothing more. Truck runs great. Went to them for an oil change and they lost important paper work in my car and after they “looked” for ten minutes said they aren’t responsible. Then they said “oh and just watch out for over heating.” I had never had an issue with over heating before until the moment I left there. I couldn’t believe it because it over heated over and over until I got it to another mechanic who said it looked like the radiator was punctured. I guess they did this while changing my oil and costs me a ton of money and didn’t even own up to their mistake. I will never return to this, or any other pep boys again. This was my first of two major issues with this company.

This message is for anyone who must use Pep Boys Services - advocate for yourself, push back on the prices and charges. This place is awful. Not the service, not the staff. The charges and the slimey ways in which they try to up-sell and overcharge. Read on for 2 separate bad experiences when pep boys tried to rip me off. I’ve heard various other stories from friends and family, but I’ll limit this review to my own 2 examples.1. I had a coupon for a $25 oil change, so I thought, that’s cheap, let’s do it! While I was waiting, the mechanic comes out and asks if they can clean the filters and replace another filter (all together, 3 different filters?) and it would cost $180. For a $25 oil change. I said no, absolutely not, just the oil change. He proceeded to try and convince me the necessity of the filter work, so I asked for a few minutes, I googled it and called my bro who knows a bit about cars. Both sources made it clear that there was no emergency, and I could forego it. So I told him no. A week later I took the car to my regular mechanic who cleaned the filters and said nothing needed to be replaced, and did it for free.2. My car window was stuck down. It just wouldn’t go up. I dropped it off the night before and waiting the next morning for a call. The mechanic called and said it would be $325- $95 for the part and $230 for labor ($115 an hr!!!!), but I said even though it seems so expensive to me, go ahead. I went to pick it up and the bill was $430. They added a shop fee of $35 and diagnostic of $45, neither of which were in the original quote. I asked why the mechanic, who had already completed the diagnostic when he quoted me for the part I’d need, didn’t quote the price of the diagnostic or the shop fee which is apparently included in every transactions. “Oh sorry, he should have, he knows”. I had to get upset and say I couldn’t afford such a high price to fix a window, and finally he removed both hidden charges.What bothers me still is, any other customer will continue to get charged those fees which clearly aren’t necessary, since I got them removed with the click of a button by getting upset. That’s slimey. It clearly means those fees are not necessary. It means that customers MUST defend themselves and push back against these hidden fees and rip offs.I will remember next time to avoid pep boys at all cost. Such a horrible business model, and it doesn’t reflect the work that is done or the quality of the products that they sell, just the foundational style of sales this company holds dear: take as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers.

I drove all the way from Exton, PA, to get parts that were shown to ONLY be in stock at this location. Because the 69 West Germantown Pike store was brand new and had just opened, a lot of the inventory was still in crates in the back of the store..including the parts that I needed. Nevertheless, an employee named Chad was determined to hunt down my parts. The persistence of the young man paid off, he located my parts, and I was able to fix my daughters car. What could have been a very frustrating experience turned into excellent service, thanks to Chad.

Dear god what kind of moron recommends 2 different tires on a car for front and rear in the winter. You make recommendations like that your gonna kill someone. There is a reason you dont mix tire compounds one will lose traction sooner than the other. Just because you are trying to sell whats in stock IS NOT a reason to compromise customer safety.

After a very frustrating experience at this store, I left a 1 star review. But because of the staff members, Josh (from Florida) and TJ, the issue was quickly resolved and I have since updated my review. This company needs to hire more employees to get the work done. Theres not enough in the story to make the visits quick enough.

The mechanics here are incompetent and rude. I went a few months back to get a headlight bulb replaced, and the mechanic broke the mount when trying to install a new one. What should have beem a 5-10 minute wait turned into over an hour. Not only did he not cut me a break on labor, he actually CHARGED me for an additional part that he broke. There are way too many auto repair places in this area to pay for anything less than quality service. The guys at Jiffy Lube down the street are much friendlier and more honest.

Tonight my husband got a nail stuck in the tire. Frustrated, he went to Pep Boys and was very happily greeted by Justin and Chad. Justin proceeded to take his information and told him it would be about 20 minutes for the repair. After 20 minutes Justin told him it was fixed and covered under the protection plan. Thank you for the prompt & friendly service.

Made an inspection appointment two week in advance for 8 am on a Saturday. Dropped my truck off the night before and at 11:30 its still not done, a simple inspection! Called at 10 am, got attitude from service desk saying its being worked on. Showed up at 11, still not done and then told they didnt think I was in a hurry because I dropped it off. ???!!!! I had an 8 am appointment! So now I sit and wait nearly 4 hours after my appointment.

I’m very frustrated with this location. They saved me once with a new battery and that was great, but my latest experience with this service team was less than stellar. I brought my car in for an inspection, fluid check, and oil change. I also had a tire that was nearly flat and another that was losing air slowly over time. I made a point of telling the technician I believed I needed new tires. I made it clear which tires were of concern three separate times. I also told them I was about to drive across the country. I pick up my car and they tell me only my front tires needed to be replaced. Great. The back tire I was concerned about is absolutely fine... supposedly. I go out to my car and look at it, and the back tire looks a little low but nothing drastic and I figured it was just how it was parked. My low pressure light is permanently illuminated because my TPMS sensors are bad. So I drive. And three days later, it looks flat. Go to another service shop. PSI is at 22. So I have them fill it up, figuring PepBoys must just not have filled it or something. Fast forward another 3 days, and it’s down to 21 PSI. It should be at 35! I’m livid because I now have to find another shop to check out my car before I drive across the country because CLEARLY I cannot trust anything PepBoys told me when I brought it to them. How do I know if my brakes and fluid levels are okay if they didn’t even check out the tire I told them I was most concerned about 3 separate times (twice at drop off, once when they called to say I needed front tires, and then even verified when I picked it up)?! If you care about having a mechanic do what you asked... want your car to be safe and not end up driving on a flat tire that’s probably screwing up the alignment you just paid for... pick a different service shop.
