While there was a great selection of items, there were only two cashiers on a Friday afternoon. I was in line with at least ten other carts. We were all complaining. Kroger is apparently trying to get everyone to use the self checkout. I dont want to scan and bag my own groceries! This is now a trend in grocery stores. So far there is only one grocery chain here (Not Kroger) that has adequate cashiers.
Impeccable store always helpful courteous ... the only thing wrong ... is the money center... more an more are we all getting denied ... those like my self dont do the traditional banking ... once u had.a bad check... we can never cash a check ... I have been frauded twice now ... not.hacked ... now I am treated as though I ve committed a crime....n up front I am no angel... no where near ... I will along with 99 percent ... to be perfectly honest 100 percent everyone ARE GONNA DO WHAT IT TAKES TO EAR OR MAKE SURE THEIR FAMILY EATS .. THATS WHY U DONT HEAR PERSONAL QUESTIONS OF FOUNDATIONAL MORALITY ... BECAUSE U THEN ARE ADMITTING GUILT ... while John Q PUBLIC OFFICIAL NEVER ANSWERS THESE TYPE OR EVEN THOSE SPECIFYING there fundamental standpoint in their spirituality...
Always happy with Kroger, never have an issue. Everyone there is so kind and caring. Good job!
My friend and I got OUTSTANDING customer service from Lisa at Kroger on Knox Avenue in North Augusta. Thank you so much Lisa for going above and beyond. You are much appreciated! You made our shopping experience so much better.
Usually I have no problems with Kroger pickup. However, if I schedule to pick up my groceries between 8-9, I should should not have to be forced to reschedule for the next day because they are ready to close the department at 8:30 since they don’t have many cars left. I still should have until 9:00 to pick up my groceries. I canceled my order and won’t be using them again. Terrible customer service and they should take the 8-9 slot off the pickup times if they aren’t going to honor the time.
I can find 98% of anything i need. Great prices for the most part and veggies are always fresh.
Got everything I needed on my grocery list. And a few extras. Early morning shopping is the best!!! Cashiers very friendly and patient while I loaded my digital coupons.
BEWARE OF THE EMPLOYEE WITH THE GREEN HAIR. I dont recall her name but do know she was at Kroger pickup. I was with my daughter in law and had witnessed the whole ordeal myself. Her attitude was subpar, and her language was beyond ruthless, which was a HUGE nono due to the children in the backseat. I wont be coming back and neither will my daughter, for whom as been shopping here for YEARS. Someone needs to do something about this.
Tomatillos were slimy and moldy. Gross
I enjoyed shopping at this North Augusta store. It has everything I need plus sales. They sales associate were very nice and helped me in locating my products . I will continue to shop here.
I used to always say good things about Kroger’s store brand, but the products have been going steadily downhill as the price inches ever closer to the name brand. Just spent 9.00 on Kroger instant light charcoal and can’t get it to burn even after using lighter fluid. Thanks for ruining dinner...
Grocery pickup employee, Shelby, was extremely rude. She was annoyed of having to go through their bags to find the substituions we did not want. Stated, I am not going through all these bags looking for this to the other employee with the light brown hair who was just as rude. Eye rolling and all. Her tone directly with me was unbelieveable. It was beyond poor customer service, it was outright disrespectful. When we got home, we noticed the items we declined from substitue were gone BUT we were still charged for some of them. Decided to just call the 800 number to get it straightened out. I did report her behavior to the store manager on duty who was extremely nice and understanding, but we will never grocery shop at this location again. Not pickup, not instore.
Nothing on the shelfs at 4 pm .. couldn’t find anything in dairy or chemicals.. everyone was out!!! Instock sucks
Great food at good prices with great service.
Staff is always friendly and helpful.
I cant say much about this Kroger besides they had a huge selection of items, stayed open passed 12am, and had the candy I wanted to buy. I havent been to South Carolinas Krogers besides this one but they seem similar to the ones in Georgia so there is that. I was happy with my experience and would come back when back in Augusta in Georgia or South Carolina.
I saw one of the self checkout ladies trying her best to be nice to this lady who wouldnt let her talk and kept ignoring her every time she tried. She was doing such a good job.
The white lady and white man in the deli are SO RUDE. She saw me standing there for 5 minutes and called for someone else to come help me. After I got my food, which was cold chicken tenders because there was none on the buffet so they gave me the cold ones from out the cooler side by the pasta, I asked for ranch to the man and woman and the lady got an attitude with me and said “I’m not over there so I can’t see. It will be awhile before I can go look for some” and the man heard us talking about it and he rudely said “there is none!” So I appreciate the cold food and the horrible customer service. The young African American guy that helped me was great. He was so nice.
The newly remodeled interior Kroger on Knox Ave North Augusta is superb. The gripe about the new layout actually is not that difficult Much ado about nothing! The staff constantly updated the overhead aisle signs to reflect the relocated inventory. The deli, produce, bakery always come through for our business needs in providing tasty options for all our staff meetings and quarterly appreciation luncheon. Competitive prices and multi brand options. Thanks Kroger NA!
Weekly store and I love it. The managers are always around. Walking, talking to people and making sure the customers are satisfied. The bakery gives kids cookies and that is the first stop we make. My son loves the deli chicken salad. Its fresh made in house and grapes and other good stuff.
We come to Kroger frequently, as we love the quality of food products and usually the kindness and professionalism of all the employees. Typically we go through self check out, but we had a large number of groceries today as we were trying to restock our pantry so we went through one of the cashier lines. It was such a overwhelmingly shocking experience. The lady checking us out pushed all 58 of our products through as fast as possible. This almost pushed our glass jars of pasta sauce off the counter and almost cracked open the styrofoam containers for the meat! I understand wanting to get us through the line, but the worst part was she had no bagger. Not that there wasnt one available. Three other people watched as me and my partner panicked and I quickly had to bag my groceries. One seemed to be the manager, and he just stood about six feet back and watched. Another woman came up to the counter beside ours, looked at us, and proceeded just to reload the bags on the other counter. Then another lady from the help desk walked up past us and proceeded just to talk with the cashier! They bagged maybe ten of our items total and refused to make eye contact as they just pushed the bags of noodles and sandwich meat towards us. Continuing to just talk as I loaded up my cart! No one tried to help us and no one even tried to communicate or apologize. The cashier could have called for bagging assistance or ANYTHING! I am appalled by the utter failure of four employees. I should have just gone to Walmart! I will certainly never be going through your lines again.
I had one of the nicest cashiers Ive ever had at Kroger or any other grocery store ever! Took a look on my way out and looked at her name tag. Here name is Sherry. Kudos to her. Its a rare experience these days.
Just left the self check out line where I experienced an issue with the chip on credit card. I walked over to Barbara to see if she could help me swipe it instead if insert chip. You would have thought I asked her to help me with something super complex with the look she gave me. Instead of taking over and helping me use that card she watched me try a few more times and told me i guess youll have to use a different card and walked off. So I used a different card and when I left the store she just stared at me and my kids the while way out. We have been shopping here for years and the service has gotten terrible!!
I shop here regularly for my job but this review is for the deli department specifically. Please consider hiring some new staff. I just couldnt believe how intentionally slow and just plain rude the main woman was that was cutting my meat! I asked for something and to return to get it afterwards and she said she was going to sell it because I took too long. Such a rude spirit and if it happens again Ill be reporting her name here. Clearly she needs to find a new job.
Clean. Friendly and good prices. Often many reduced price or clearance items that are excellent bargains.Innovative technology to speed things along. They now have handheld scanners that allow you to scan items as you place them in your buggy while shopping.
The food there is good. I use my Kroger Plus Card for digital coupons. Save quite a bit periodically. Plus use my 4x feel rewards... Fill up for $18 in South Augusta! BTW, the people there are nice. They help you!! =)
Stop moving groceries around in the store please! We were back in there today and you’re moving grocery depts and areas around again. It was chaos on a Saturday.I don’t know if you’re having shoplifting issues given an expanded clientele so you see this as a deterrent or what. Or if your regional management is making you do it for the second time in 12 months. We can’t stand the Kroger on Washington Rd. or shopping in Augusta generally. So we’re devoted to our N Augusta Kroger. To boot, the metal bench by the front door where my 90 yr old father in law usually sits when tired had a bunch of junk on it.Lastly, the cashier was hurried and rude and crushed our eggs.Again, stop moving groceries around. Leave stuff where a devoted local Kroger shopper can find them.Thanks.
As I stated before I love to shop Kroger, great place to run in and get something you need right away, they now have two lanes of Self check-out which makes it even quicker. The only thing I see but doesnt hinder me, is the store is now no longer open 24 hours a day, closing time now is 1 am.
Kroger always has superior standards. Quality in Cleanliness, quality in customer services, quality in goods and products provided. This visit all went well. The employee at the self checkout nearest the entrance and exit doors, was more than courteous and helpful.Explaination was given on the5e downloadable Friday and Saturday digital coupons. She explained that each week on Friday one must download the coupons in order to receive the Friday coupons. Also, that they last two weeks. This was one helpful detail that i did not know.Thank you for future references. Please note: On a visit prior to this one at the North Augusta location the smell hit me just as I was entering the opposite direction of the self checkout nearest. The smell was like an old dead fish and severe old dead something else as mixture along with it. This had never been at this location before and should hope it doesnt occur again. This date is based the receipt from the water purchased 01/10/19 @ 8:21 pm.
Today was not a good experience. Only three cashiers open, bagging without help also! There were 5 self service open and people in line with me for 40 minutes were upset too. Not everyone likes the self service but it seems your store is choosing to drive valued customers to do it. I love your store and everything about it but today I was very dissatisfied.
It was a rewarding and very pleasing. The cashier was very pleasant and respectful. I enjoy shopping at Kroger. The employees and the cashiers are always very helpful. I will always shop at Kroger anytime I am near one and I Will recommend others to do the same.
For a grocery store they have a good selection and decent prices. Unfortunately they recently MOVED EVERYTHING AROUND. So if your expecting to male a quick trip dont plan on it. Nothing is in the same place and personally I think the new set up doesnt make much sense.
I love Kroger. I rarely ever go there that I cannot complete my shopping list. Its common to find everything on your list. Great place to shop.
Bad experience today. We purchased a buggy full of groceries and my husband and I had to bag them ourselves. Asked the cashier were there any people that they had that bagged groceries, her response was a smirk and I dont know where they are. Then I approached the service desk and ask for help and he said I will get you some body. Meanwhile a young boy walking around slowly saw what we were doing anit ourselvesd and decided to take his precious time over to a customet that had only a hand full of items and bag them instead. Finally another approached us and bagged the last two out of 15. The cashier never helped or said anything, not even a thank you after handing my receipt. People only want to get a pay check but not earn it. Chances are we may never return.
Very friendly and staff well informed of where all products are when asked. Everything very fresh, seafood, meats, cheese, produce, bakery and deli. Pharmacy also very good staff and store is always in tip top shape when I go in to shop..Kroger is my shopping place.
I really like our neighborhood Kroger: great pharmacy, great customer service, gas station and fuel saving points. My only criticism is that the produce section has been a little sad on occasion. However, the produce section has a wide variety of veg and fruit, including some international rarities like jack fruit.
Used to be a great store well run and always clean. Since about a year ago has gotten bad never have enough help always running out of things on shelves and deli has no one who cares to wait on you wish we had another store here to go to.
I just needed a loaf of bread but left it and my desire to shop at kroger any more behind!!!ALL self checkouts were card only with long lines at the two cashiers, too long for me to stand in line for a loaf of bread when there are other stores that carry bread and will take cash!! If a cashier can take cash why cant the self checkout take cash, or at least have a less than 10 or 20 items to go to.NOT HAPPY WITH MY KROGER STORE!!
Kroger has become my favorite grocery store in recent years and this one fails to disappoint. Very clean, good selection, friendly staff, free samples - has it all. Lines move quickly, too. Self checkout always seems to have one spot open. With the Kroger card, many items are less expensive than at Walmart.
I looked for Better than gravy Chicken or turkey flavor, but there was only beef flavor. This is the second time in a month.......please have more backup of this product. Other than thst, I love your store and the employees are awesome. Give t hem a raise!!!!Thanks, Paul
They have revamped the store, some big, beer & wine next to the produce, some small, the spices moved across the aisle.... only 1 cashier but several self check-outs...clean store...great looking produce, meats.....and the sushi is made fresh daily
Rarely do staff welcome or greet you. Staff and Managers use to be seen all over the store greeting and talking to customers. Rarely do Staff or Managers do that. Most of the bag boys need to be retrained on bagging and manners. Produce Departments is improving compared to earlier in 2016. Always seem to be short staffed or staff members more interested in their phones then interacting with customers.
Everything about this grocery store is basically perfect. They have an amazing selection and somehow with the top quality, are able to offer almost unbeatable prices. If I am looking for unusual ingredients, I go here. There canned vegetables are super cheap as well!
Why did you stop selling ground sirloin. I have to go to publix to get it now. All you sell is that cheap ground beef and chuck. And why dont you carry the pepperoni chef boyardee pizza mix??????? Ive always shopped here, but youve really gone down hill
Kroger never was my go-to for grocery shopping. This location changed that. Ive been coming here weekly ever since I moved to North Augusta in 2015. The meats, produce, and deli are always fresh and high-quality, and the selection is awesome. Employees are always very helpful and nice. Plus its 24 hours!!!
Knox Ave Kroger in North Augusta was not overly busy tonight but they only had 1 register open (and he seemed very slow) with at one point seven customers with carts in his line not to mention a couple of customers with baskets or holding their items in their hand. There were 5 or 6 self check out registers and they were backed up at one point with at least 5 people waiting in line. I finally used a non paid employee register to check out which was not pleasant to say the least. Especially when the darned machine kept telling me to put the scanned item on the check out table, which I had already done. Finally an actual employee who had been busy trying to help other customers came over and assisted me in finalizing the transaction. Had they had 2 qualified and speedy cashiers there wouldnt have been near the wait to check out.
We used the pharmacy and it was awesome people were very nice and helpful. After we went to get gas that price was great 2.63 with our Kroger reward card will be back
Good
Usually well stocked. Polite staff and really good sakes. Private Selection brand products are high quality..
There were 2 registers open on a Saturday morning at 11am. One of those 2 cashiers said she was closed. I notified the manager on duty and he presented a careless attitude. He suggested calling 1-800-Kroger. I will be shopping at Publix where customer service is upheld and still important.
Lots of registers open but No Baggers!!! If I wanted to bag my own groceries, I would use self check out! Might just have to start going to Publix where they have plenty of registers open and plenty of helpful staff!
Good store with better prices and occasional markdowns(especially on seasonal close out) no starbucks.does have an olive and cheese bar.ends of cheese sold and are a great cheaper way to try new cheeses.has handicap accessible, wheel chairs with basket and electric wheelchairs with baskets.good customer service.specialty butcher counter and also fish counter.great vegetable selection with weekly specials.vast frozen food selection.
This Kroger is our go to grocery store. It is always clean and well stocked. They have a decent gluten free area, as well as organic/local foods. The staff is always helpful, also.
I know almost everyone here and some of them since 1985 in their old location. Almost all employees have good attitudes and are quick to help. I treat them well and they treat me well also. Usually get all the help I need.
This is my regular grocery store. They have the best prices and sales in the area and Im part of their fuel points program. Theyve been expanding their deli into a sandwich restaurant and they take custom orders. Highly recommend
Krogers my favorite place for groceries, but they also have great deals on vitamins and all kind of clearance sales. I know where the food is located they dont change locations very often and they have such good Kroger specials.
Decent priced, high end foods. Always love shopping here. Staff is friendly.
Love Kroger brand foods and good fuel discounts. Kroger in North Augusta is a very clean and well stocked grocery store. Polite and friendly service, always.
Great Kroger with excellent customer service. Putting in some upgrades like a new cheese bar. Also has a fantastic healthy, natural food selection area.
My wife and I used to be regular shoppers at this Kroger until today when I had the misfortune of seeing Kelly the manager in action. My wife and I were purchasing 600 pounds of food, water, paper products and cleaning supplies (the max my plane will hold) to take down to Freeport Grand Bahama‘s to help out the victims of the hurricane, most of whom have lost almost everything they had. This will be our second trip, the first one was both heartwarming and heartbreaking. We don’t have a lot, but with the help of donations from some of our friends and local merchants like Walmart and Food Lion we’ve been able to put together a good bit of stuff to give to people who have nothing. It doesn’t solve all their problems, but for a couple days a few of them get some decent meals and some fresh drinking water. I had the first shopping cart filled when I went to ask if possibly Kroger might help out a little with the bill. The Walmart in Edgefield, God bless them, gave me $100, Food Lion offered up 20 bucks. For the second trip, the Walmart in North Augusta gave me a 10% discount. Every single penny goes right back into additional food. Although it’s a little embarrassing to ask, the cause is good so I put it out there just in case. I initially spoke to an assistant manager and plead my case. She in turn went over to Kelly the manager who obviously didn’t realize I was standing nearby watching. When the assistant manager told her what I asked, the look of disgust on her face tore at my heart. I saw her shake her head somewhat angrily and walk away. The assistant manager came back over and offered a feeble excuse that the manager of the store didn’t have the ability to offer a discount and although they are given a supply of gift cards for such a purpose they had already used them up for the year. It wasn’t the fact that they turned me down that hurt my feelings as much as it was the visual attitude projected by the manager. My new mission once we get back from dropping off the food, which I purchased from Walmart at full price, is to let everybody know just how rude and uncaring Kelly the manager is. If there’s someplace else you can go to shop, I ask you to do so because I found out today customer service at Kroger is overseen by an uncaring Grinch.
Store is a mess. No less than 10 empty pallets on the floor and carts everywhere. Many aisles were blocked by these carts or the staff stocking the shelves. I understand stocking but ADA compliance must still be followed. Staff unwilling to assist in the aisles. At the self checkout I was unable to get assistance when the prices rang up incorrectly because the employee was too occupied with their cell phone. I left my merchandise there and walked out. I will never go back to this location.UPDATE: After a week and receiving no call from the store I contacted the hotline again. I was connected with the store, by the hotline, who stated they had not heard of my complaint and hung up on me. Wow, I have never seen a company to this length to hide from feedback. Shame on them.
I bought a bag of Tyson chicken nuggets but realized I left it in self checkout as I put my bags in the car... I went back in immediately and it was gone. The attendant, Eddye, was super unhelpful and rude and basically told me there was nothing she could do. So basically an hour of my life was stolen from me. Real cool.
My wife and I shop at Kroger religiously we just moved back to North Augusta from Augusta on Washington Road. The North Augusta location has just went downhill and we will now drive all the way to Washington Road even through Masters traffic of which I just did to grocery shop there. The quality of the meat has went down the selection of sushi is usually old or non-existent. Just normal everyday food items arent on the shelves a neuron a truck thats on the way I understand how businesses work and pouts her in the back you get deliveries but compared to when the store first open I just have seen it decline. The employees are very pleasant its just the store itself, kudos to them especially dealing with the rude customers on a daily basis that are unhappy because they cannot find what they came to look for.
Place is clean and has a great selection of organic and gluten free products. I try to go early mornings or late afternoon to avoid the crowds. This store is usually crowded
This was the Kroger I shopped at when I lived in North Augusta. It was always clean and the staff was friendly. Their natural / organic section has a great variety.
I love the atmosphere in this store. It has a lot of specialty products. It just take time to explore all that they have to offer.
Total disruption for me and many other shoppers trying to find items with the completely assinine reset/ redo of pretty much the entire store except meat and produce departments. Numerous out of stocks. This total screwup of the store has been going on for weeks. Went else where to buy items not in stock. I have addressed this via their survey which comes on receipt but dont think they care. Dont mind change but hate stupidity.
Great prices. Always clean. Checkout is fast. Employees are polite and helpful.
I am a loyal Kroger customer. The employees are pleasant and always helpful. Their prices are reasonable.
I love Kroger. Very friendly & usually have everything I need & want. No problem w/ getting a raincheck if unavailable. Fast & friendly.
Great selections but only one meat man today with no one to wait on custoners. No bell to ring.
This is a clean store. Most of the cashiers are always friendly and helpful. Things are in stock and they are willing to help if needed.
Very nice store people are friendly and employees are helpful. Overall a good grocery store.
Great
Out of water. Nasty store. No bags for doughnuts. I and a woman in wheelchair could not reach item she needed and store people still nasty watch out for expired cheeses and soup. Some over 60 days past expiration
Great store but they really need more parking.
The self-check out requires that you indicate the payment type rather just proceed after youve already inserted your card. It will tell you its processing, but it waits until you select that payment.
This is my go to grocery store, just wish they had better produce. Ive sent a few emails, etc, over the years... at least the flies arent add bad there anymore. The pharmacy staff and gentleman that works in natural foods are tops and have been a huge help to me on many occasions.
The pharmacy department is very helpful.
They stay open later than anywhere else.
Too much emphasis on their own brands; thereby forcing favorite brands off of their shelves.
Store has had problems keeping the shelves full, but I have spoken with managers and they are working to resolve. Store is clean and staff very friendly.
Ads are not the same as the stores stock ie 24 Coke can case are not stocked but charge the price for 20 can cases not like Pepsi products that are 24 to a case with the same price . .Have to check whats the best deals .
Best Kroger Ive shopped at. Large aisles and super clean. You name it, theyve got it.
Love the Click List Convenience and the team of people who cater to that. Always a great experience here.
Went into the North Augusta store for lunch, The hot food has always been delicious until one day i noticed they had flies flying all on the food without protecting it with a covering. That is just disgusting and should be against regulations.
I love their pick up/online order program!
I dont like doing the self-checkout, but Ill tell you what, they got a pretty good price on milk
Tried the click list Two products were two months past expiration numerous products only days from expiration lettuce was brown inedible, bread was smashed down at the bottom very careless would not recommend tried to email customer service because No one would answer the phone and never got a response from the email they are not concerned about Their customers won’t be back
Kroger always have great prices a lot of mark down items: bread for 89 cents and its a med.. loaf -freindly staff a there to help you just askem
Always have good sales and the store is very clean. Excellent meat Dept.
Cleanly organized . Customer Service was pleasant. Lines were plentifully open . Quick checkouts.
I love the scan and go concept where you scan each item and bag them as you shop and just pay as you exit the store.
Buggy full...and a young man jumped in and helped me unload, then bagged and reloaded. Thank you so much Martise!
Everything here is alright, the food is good and the workers are nice, I hope everyone goes here and find what they need
Super grocery store! Very kind and helpful staff always!! Love coming here!
It was joyful shopping at the store I found every thing I neefed
Great sales. With plus card was able to save. .50 a gallon on fuel.
Typically not a bad place. The other night I went in to get a rotisserie chicken. Was ignored for almost 10 minutes and directly ignored when I asked the clerk of I could get one of the 38 chickens she was bagging at 7:30 pm. After that I dropped my cart right where it was and went to Publix down the street where I was welcomed and helped immediately. Sorry I wasted my time at Kroger instead of going straight to Publix.
