Rear fender area repair work on passenger side of my 2015 Chevy Spark. The repair work looks great but they apparently lost my car key! Its been 4 days since I paid and picked up my car to find out that they couldnt find my car key. I havent heard from them yet. Not good, not very responsible on their part.

Painted truck wrong color. Didnt repair damage we agreed to fix. Sanded over truck cover window frame and then said it was already like that. Called me before they started and told me they have to charge me almost 50% more because of items already pointed out in the estimate when I dropped truck off...$800 more than estimate and then did about half of the work. When I pointed out all the obvious items they didnt do they told me it was my fault for not asking them to fix this dent or that scratch or to remove glue from a decal. It was like being robbed. When I took the truck home I found my radio doesnt work now and there is a big rip in my passenger sun visor. I have never been so disappointed jn an American business in my life. How can you paint a car the wrong color when I pointed to it and verified the number twice in the office to be sure? Never again. Look long and hard for a different company if you want your vehicle painted. Additionally, I paid for their second to the top tear of paint quality. I paid $2,800 for this. One dent that took more time behind the tail pipe on the bed...the rest was just failed paint and about 8 small dings and scratches. I do not recommend this place. Maybe if you video the estimate and scope of work. Then come into the business every day and check on the work. Then meet with the painter to make sure correct color. If you want to do all that...maybe youll get what you want.

I decided to paint my car and the rain kept coming that was the only delay was the rain every day they did the best absolute paint job ever thought I would ever get and Monique she is wonderful thank you Monique I am very happy.

Overall quality of paint work was subpar at best.Some painted surfaces showed signs of orange peel. Trim pieces were not properly masked off, leaving some primer on trim pieces. Clean up was poor. Workers left dirty shoe prints on door sills and seats. Some exterior trim pieces were not reassembled. Personnel were pleasant but that quickly subsides when workmanship is quite poor. Will not return to Maaco for paint work again.

Paint job was great. I would give that 5.Customer service was 2.Reason: They had my car for 5 days. When I called in to check up on day 5 what’s going on, I was told to call back after the weekend. I received no date to pick up my car EVER. I was called 2 days after I called and was told to pick up my car immediately. I was at work. I explained I am not able to just leave my job. They told me that I will be picking my car up dirty with a new paint job the longer it sits at their lot. They said because they have more customers and seem to not realize that I am still their paying customer. They said they would not assist me driving off the lot with a clean car. I managed to find someone to pick up the car the same day as this argument on the phone and then one associate decided to cleaned the car. I didn’t understand the attitude on the phone. Horrible customer service!Give a date in advance and the car will be picked up!

Do yourself a big favor. Call around to local body shops, and make a deal with them. Most will beat written quotes, for the work.

HORRIBLE...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! So bad, its almost unbelievable.! Manager, Quartreal is unprofessional and dishonest. Maaco had my car for SEVEN weeks (supposed to take 7-10 days) for repairs after a wreck. Got my car back after seven weeks and the back door wont open, the tint is off my back window (one window without tint!!), they broke the wood grain door handle and super glued it back then he tried to tell me it was broke when I dropped it off. I got pictures from the insurance adjuster of my car before they repaired it and I took pictures the day I picked it up. I have filed a formal complaint with Maaco and the Better Business Bureau. I should have trusted my gut instinct and took my car elsewhere but Ive had work done at other Maacos in the past without any problems. I wish I could post pictures with this review....you wouldnt believe it. If you take your car here, you WILL REGRET IT! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! Not worth it to save a few bucks!! Pictures have been added!!Update: I have filed FOUR formal complaints with Maaco and still NOTHING. Im now filing a complaint with the BBB and taking legal action. This place is AWFUL. They do not deserve to be in business

3rd car I’ve had painted there since 2008 and I’ve been pleased withe the value of the paint jobs. This time the ignition key lock developed a problem somehow. The manager, Fred, had the problem fixed at no extra charge.

I had a horrible frustration experience with this location. They dont communicate with customers in a timely fashion, and if some goes wrong with your vehicle dont expect to be notified about. I had to call over 12 times to get updates on my paint job the only time I got them to call me was when I requested the manager to call me. After having my car for 3 weeks for a paint job once it was ready once again I didnt receive a call I had to call them. I am a very understanding person and I do understand that the business was going through some unexpected changes..but the customer service could be better, everyone was nice and friendly just needs to work on updating customers on their vehicles without them having to call you a 1000 times..I do have to have to take my car back in 4 weeks to get some issues with paint job fixed, hopefully my experience then will be much better than this time and I can update my review and add more stars.

Very professional, they gave me a free estimate, and made sure my car was ready on time! Very satisfied with the bodywork repair, especially my front fender that has been broke for 10+ years. This paint job made a 15yr old car look brand new!

This is the first time I write a so low and negative evaluation of a service. I hope the franchise take some actions in order to protect the brand of the business.I took my Jeep Wrangler “Punk’n Edition” to the Maaco shop located on Dorchester Road to paint and install the new Avenger Style Hood and the Demon Grill w/LED lights.It took them 4 weeks to do the work.When they finally informed me that the job was done I arrived to the shop and my surprise; the color of the hood and grille did not match with the original color of the Jeep (a different orange color). When I told them that he color was not the same and they assured me they will use the original Jeep dealer Punk’n paint they just said we did our best and we cannot do it better.After that the old lady just left.They do not know the meaning of Customer Service, They do not know the meaning of professionalism, they do not know the meaning of Work ethics.This Maaco Shop on Dorchester av. In North Charleston was a complete waist of time and money.

We needed a complete repaint of our Chevy suburban because of the defective flaking factory paint. MAACO did a really good job! We initially had a few concerns about some paint drips and overspray but they went out of their way to make it right for us at no extra charge.

Teresa is an awesome manager. I got a great price on new paint and dent removal. The work was finished on time. My car looks amazing again. The whole team went beyond my expectations in service and providing a great paint job! Big thanks to Teresa, Holly and the team at Maaco!

I would highly recommend the North Charleston, Dorchester Rd. Maaco location.They do quality work and the customer service is exceptional. They met and exceed my expectations. As a former service manager they were on point. If there was an issue or concern they addressed it & took care of it.They did such a great job making my 2008 Nissan pickup look new again. I decided to have a second vehicle painted with them, 2008 Jeep Rubicon. Much appreciation goes out to Teresa & Jay. You guys were great.

I have an old 97 Tacoma whose paint had faded badly so I decided it was time to repaint it to restore it to its former glory. The managers and staff were super friendly to me and did their best to give me the best deals possible. The price was better than some of the other places I had looked at. They communicated very well and answered all the questions I had. I was kept up to date regarding where my car was in the process of getting its new paint. Im very happy with the work they did, it looks fantastic! Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the paint is not perfect, there are a few very small parts where the paint was somewhere where it should not have been and was uneven in one very small part of the car, but overall its great.

Manager was very friendly when doing our estimate. Got a good price on some body work along with whole car paint job. Dropped off Monday morning and it was ready Friday morning. Car looks Awesome!The paint job is wonderful. Its not perfect, but a perfect one would have cost at least $4,000 more. We price shopped prior to choosing Maaco. Our car is a 2003 and now it looks almost new. Thank you Teresa and crew!

THINK TWICE!!!!! I will pass!!!!! There was something very fishy about this place. My estimate was over priced by $600. They added repairs to my estimate for work I didn’t need done. The receptionist didn’t speak to me at all. There were too many red flags to type. Customers were walking in about complaints they had about their vehicles. Consider the signs when in this atmosphere!!!!

Hands down great service... They made an unknown process super easy. I loved getting updates via text and Theresa treated me like family. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. In fact, a friend is calling next week because she loved my new paint job so much.

Got my Camry repainted because the top coat was gone and it was the dull white look. It also had a big ding in the door and minor ones here and there. It had some paint transfer as well from 10 years of driving it but I was giving it to my son since he turned 16 and wanted it to look nice. I brought it to Maaco on Dorchester Rd and they did a fantastic job and got out all my dings and painted it white again and it looks like a new car. When I picked it up I noticed some minor dings still and an area under the front bumper that you could see when you stood back from the car but they brought it back in the same day and fixed them all and I picked it up two days later. My son is very proud to be driving my 2010 Camry. I think Maaco did a fantastic job on my car and it was worth the $1200 to me for it to look as nice as it does. It will last my son through school as the miles are still considered low for the age of the car! They were super friendly and I am a very satisfied customer and definitely will use them again! Way to go Maaco 😉

This was my first time doing business with Maaco. I must say, the shop on Dorchester Rd. is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I have a 22 year old automobile that needed body work and a paint job. When they called and said that it was ready for pickup, I was edgy, I was uneasy because I didnt know what to expect upon arrival... is the work going to be professional, average or careless. But when the gentleman brought my auto to the pickup area, I saw the work of professionals: their work is exceptional! They made my old automobile look new. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!! Check them out.

Very pleasant surprise! I went in to Maaco on Dorchester Rd expecting a cheaply performed job for a faded hood and roof paint job on our black Chevy Tahoe and WOW was I impressed. Both the service and attention to detail that they provided. The manager Jay was very attentive to our requests and went above and beyond on what they could easily just blown through quickly. The completed job was A+. For those of you thinking this Maaco is sub par to the big name auto paint shops, think again. Dont spend twice as much for the same professional paint job that we received.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MAACO.

I paid over $2,600 to have my truck repainted. Had to take it back 3 times for them to fix my paint. Still has blemishes all over it. Went to the store in West Ashley where the owner of both stores work. And he still would not have them fix the problems. The manager at the Dorchester store is very unprofessional would not explain why she would not fix the blemishes. Was very rude. They painted over dirt. I would not recommend anybody go to either store unless you want to waste your money and time. They will not honor their work or their warranties. I now have to take my truck to another auto body shop to have them fix what was wrong.

These people are liars. They first told me that they had my fender and was waiting on my headlight. I called 2 days later and they said that they had my headlight and was waiting on my fender and that they would call me when everything arrives. 1 week went by and I called them and they stated they called and left me a message. No message was ever received. Finally I took my car to be repaired and I was told it would be ready in 1 week. Here it is a week and a half later and I was told 2 days straight that my car is being detailed. I do not have my car back yet. Poor customer service

They have advertised $399 paint jobs but ask me for $1300 to just remove oxidation from the hood only! BAD BUSINESS......

I had a horrible experience with this Maaco. They messed up my truck. They did not inspect the frame for damage and did horrendous repairs on the exterior. They installed parts for the wrong model vehicle and tried to make them fit. The correct parts could easily be found if they looked them up correctly. They took 6 weeks to do a $3,000 repair. They tried to sell me parts my truck didnt need. They were arrogant to speak too The whole experience was a nightmare.

Went for a quote for a small touch up job that i want to have done. Consult was quick and agent was very nice and knowledgeable. She quoted me exactly what was needed and didnt try to upsale any unnecessary items or services. I will be taking my vehicle back there soon for the job to be completed!

Poor customer service, lack of professionalism, wrong parts installed, frame damage never checked, front end damage ignored. Released the vehicle in an unsafe driving condition. Charged for wrong parts and tried to charge for unnecessary parts. If I didn t know any better I would have been ripped off worse then I was. Worse retail experience in my life. Beware of this business if you care about your vehicle and your safety. I have used Maaco businesses before and was always satisfied but this place does not represent the company standards at all.

Went to Maaco with my 95 Accord. Didnt have a lot of money to work with, but for less than $500.00 they had my Honda looking good. Would definitely recommend to all.

If I could get them no stars I totally would...Worst customer service experience Ive ever had anywhere. They kept our vehicle 3 days longer totalling to 8 days when they said it would be ready in 5. They lied to our face about sanding a portion of the car when it was cleary visible that it had not been sanded. Between being unsatisfied with the paint job on the trim and the delayed pickup we asked for them to fix the trim or reduce the price and they refused to do either. It looks like they rushed it and half assed the sanding and painted right over it instead. Its flakey and just not visually appealing at all and then they didnt want to take responsibility when called out on the section they didnt properly sand.They waited until the last minute to inform us that their ONLY painter had called out Thursday when we had called with questions and concerns twice Thursday and twice on Friday and NEVER in any of those conversations did they inform us that they were behind schedule due to their only painter calling out. They told us twice Thursday that it would be ready by noon Friday and then we called twice Friday and they kept postponing and eventually called us at end of business, literally waited until the very last minute to tell us they had to keep our vehicle over the weekend. They lack communication and just basic customer service skills. They avoid taking responsibility and try to shove you out the door regardless if youre satisfied with the work. I will NEVER go back here again and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

These fellows are proud workmen that take pride in doing good work. You get what you pay for from them, if you need a great job they will realistically quote you its cost. If you need something else, like I did than that is what you will get and that is all you will have to pay for. If it takes a bit more time to give you a good job for your money then they will ask for it, so sometimes you may have to be a little patient.

Ya the words do speak for it self on here. i took my car there to get body work on the rear side door. When i got the car back after a month the bondo started to show up for some reason. i took it back and they repaired it but they said they would of charged me again even tho they were the one who did the work. They did it under warranty and when i got the car back i noticed a little of the bondo again. i just hope to god it dont get worse like the first time because i made a mistake in going there. On top of all that they say they will call u when its ready and they never do and same goes for when they tell u it will be done in 3 days it never is.👎👎

When I received my 1982 Chevy from Maaco I was not pleased with the bottom portion surrounding the car frame which was to be a replacement of the original silver CAMARO lettering with related pin-stripes. I was informed the work was done incorrectly by a worker who was subsequently fired.After an additional week of their unsuccessful attempts to remedy the situation the manager made an extraordinary offer. He said if I would bring it back on a Monday morning he would repaint the entire car top and bottom free of charge and have it ready for me by Friday.He delivered on his promise and I was totally pleased with the quality of the workmanship. Not only was I impressed with the finished product but more importantly both he and the painters who worked on the car were enthusiastically proud of their achievement.Furthermore, not only did he provide a ride both to and from the shop to my home but he even remembered to refund the money I spent at the print shop for the replacement stencils. This is what I call professional courtesy and integrity.My sincere thanks is extended to the manager Quartreal Smith and his crew for their outstanding dedication and commitment towards producing a finished product they all took great pride in delivering to me at no additional cost.

Terrible customer service. I scheduled an appointment with their websites online tool for 4:30pm. I got email confirmation of their acceptance. I arrived 5 minutes early to the appointment only to have two guys sitting around chatting and making me feel like I am inconveniencing them with my potential business. The end result was an explanation that their store hours are incorrectly listed and i would need to come back before 4:00pm to get an estimate. All i wanted was a ball park quote to get one door painted.

Excellent Job On My Baby!!

Sadly, this branch office of Maaco did not live up to what I have come to expect from Maaco living in other states.I wanted to revibe my clearcoat on a 2005 Santa Fe. I was promised it on a day when I needed. I stopped by to pick the car up, and it was totally unsat, Streaks, spots, rough sanding marks; overspray on windows; trim, rubber seals; and even paint from fingertips inside the car. This was after having it for over 8 days.I was very dissapointed. Maaco honored their satisfaction guraantee and would redo the whole car again (it needed it). Even the shop manager said the car did not pass their inspection, but I needed it that day, and would have to bring back.Well, a week later, I set up an appointment. again, another 7 days plus to fix their mess. It looked better, but still had overspray all over, still was not ready for pickup when they told me to come get it; still had paint from fingers inside; sanding marks were very noticable in some areas; paint was spotted (white clear spots), adn the clearcoat still was not polished and sanded smoothly. Additionally, I asked what happened to the bumper and the rear tail lights as both sides in two different locations near the same height were scuffed up, and obviously the vehicle was backed into something (Maaco did buff that out)SO, again, said I would take it back and have them fix it up. The shop said they would take care of it and can buff things out in just a couple of hours.We decided enough is enough aftger 800$ for a paint job. I sold the car just a few weeks laterI dont know what was more frustrating. The lack of professionalism or inexperience from the painters, or the management for not overseeing the processes from start to finish. There is NO doubt, I could have done just as good of a job with 50 cans of spray paint. (seriously, it was that bad the first time coming out, and still needed help the 2nd time through.Others told me after I dropped off the car at that location the first time with You shouldnt have gone to that location Well, wish I had known before. But it was Maaco.Car is gone now, but so isnt my confidence in Maaco. And three weeks later UNDERCOVER BOSS shows Maaco. Ouch. I wish I had the chance to talk to them!!!!CA, WA, TX, HI and SC I have used Maaco. Sadly, this location just really showed a lack of professionalism and attention to detail.Car painting is all about Prep. I had no dings or scratches or dents. but sure had scratches, and sanding roughness (I mean rough) throughout.

I had a horrible experience with this place they messed up my truck. I had to get a dent fixed and a fender painted and they over sprayed my truck and the color didnt match. So they said they would fix it and the second time it was just as bad because they oversprayed the bed of my truck.I have a 2012 dodge ram and it honeslty looks like crap. I highly recoomend you dont go there spend a few more bucks and get a decent paint job...

I had to return my car to be repainted 3 times now. The first time the painters missed a spot (it was bare metal) about 4 inches by 3 inches and the trunk was covered in paint bubbles and the hood had discolorations where waterr/sweat had dropped on the hood during painting. They actually told me about me about this mistakes, and repainted the car. When I went to pick it up I found that they forgot about the trunk and when theyv repainted the hood they painted over all kinds of debris-hood has the texture of coarse sandpaper now and they buffed/resurfaced my headlight lenses( a freebie due to the repaint)....But they buffed out the headlights while they were still onn the car and the tool slid off a few times and chipped off the paint around both headlights! So now they have to repaint it a third time....granted its only a$1100 paint job, but Ford quoted me $2100.......next time Ill pay the extra cash!
