I am giving it one star because I cannot give it zero stars. Dr. Robert Mitter is an inept optometrist. I received a vision exam from him and I was unable to use the prescription. Whats worse, you cannot follow up with him because his appointments are sporratic and very infrequent. When I checked my vision with him and wanted to see him again because the prescription was wrong, the staff told me that his next appointment would not be until over a month later. You also cannot reach him by phone because the staff does not give out his phone number. Then, there is the staff which consists of the optician Vinny and the assistant Lisa. These two individuals know nothing about vision care, but, are very willing to dispense their erroneous opinions in an irresponsible and negligent manner. I strongly suggest that the reader not use the vision care services at JC Penney that are provided by US Vision and an independent optometrist.but, are only too happy to dispense their

This was our first time for my 5 year old son to get an exam and glasses. We showed up really early so it was a little bit of a wait but took us in a little earlier then our original appointment time. The people in the front were very nice and the optometrist was very patient and a little playful with my son all while she was getting her results for his eye exam. I enjoyed the visit very much, and enjoyed the people working there that day, very good with the little ones. And I was told it would take a week and a half to 2 weeks. We went there on Wednesday and received a call the glasses were in on the following weeks Thursday. Very happy with this! Making my kids happy makes mommy happy!

I was seen early prior to my appointment time. My optometrist was thorough and informative. The front desk was professional and even gave me a free glasses case holder, and I got my glasses frame fixed for free too. Would recommend coming here!

I waited over 30 minutes to pick up my order. I wasnt even greeted when I walked in. Dont even get me started on the day I ordered. It was confusing, very slow, it took the man over an hour to put in my order only to tell me that my coupon wouldnt work. I had my prescription papers with me and was well over prepared. There was no need for it to take more than 15 minutes to put in my order and prescription. To top it off he didnt even put my phone number bein correctly, because I never received a phone call? I called after 3 weeks wondering what had happened only to find out that they put me down as unreachable due to incorrect phone number!!!!!. This is probably the last time I order from JCP. Slowest service and worse service I have ever received. Very disappointed as I always order my glasses here and buy most of my clothing, but at this rate of customer service Id rather take my business elsewhere.UPDATE: after wearing my glasses for a week and getting headaches I attributed it to the new glasses. The bridge compare to my old glasses were huge. Old glasses (13) new glasses (18) I went in to JCP optical dreading my visit, however I have no other but i had no other choice but to correct it. After again waiting for 30-45 minutes to be seen. I spoke to the same man who placed my order . He told me the frames dont come in different sizes bridges and proceeded to bend the $200 glasses I front of me and asked me to give it a try now. My husband and I were shocked at the lack of professionalism we were witnessing. After he bent them the middle metal connecting both lenses were popping up and it looked completely damaged. I told him if I cant reorder these exact lenses in a smaller bridge I would like another pair (as it states in the receipt that I can receive a refund unfortunately) He proceeded to debate how I should keep these and adjest to them etc... And was very pushy about not accommodating me. Even if I wanted to keep the glasses, they are damaged and I dont want a damaged $200 glasses ?After about an hour and a half we finally got we wanted and the glasses were reordered. I will update once the new pair comes in. Lets hope it is the right order.

4/2017. Dr. Spent 5 min on me. Didnt speak or explain any thing. Cant use my no line bifocal glasses on anythg other than reading and same for contacts. I need a second opinion. She was never in office when I stopped by or called.

The worse customer service ever. As I walked in ( no other customers in the store) I felt that I interrupted the employee texting on her phone. We found frames that we really liked. I asked if they accepted our insurance ( which they do) she came back and said no. We purchased a groupon coupon, which if I knew that they accepted my insurance I would not have purchased. I asked about transitional, progressive lenses and she quoted me a price. I know that it wouldnt be exactly what she quoted but close.I had to go to Americas Best to get my eye exam, which they were more than willing to help and then some. Took that back to jcpenney, again I was interrupting her( again no other customers in the store). She took quick measurements and ordered the glasses. While she was ordering the lenses she informed me that the lenses she quoted me was not available with transitional and progressive. I had to upgrade to a more expensive lenses. $55 more. She would have known that if she would have done her job. Instead she pulled the number off the top of her head.when I picked them up was even a worse experience. DO NOT GO THERE. GOTO AMERICAS BEST INSTEAD !!!

First off I had to wait for both employees to come back from lunch, couldnt believe they went at the same time. Had to have my perscrition faxed over. The girl miss took my minus sign as a plus, wait three weeks for my glasses. Tried them on, I kept saying something is not right, I can see better with my glasses. They had the WRONG perscription in them, after arguing with the old man for 15 mins. I ordered these glasses the 30th of August and here it is the 9th of October and they just came in. Poor customer service, and I have made two payments on my Penneys card already towards these glasses, wondering if Opti Eye would like to know, so they can pull there contract with this Independent Contractor for JC Penney.
