I had a wonderful experience with LensCrafters of North Charleston! The staff were extremely friendly, kind and helpful! Dr. Castro was very patient with me. I can’t tell you enough how wonderful and easy going my experience was ! I recently I recently got a new pair of glasses that cause a lot of problems on my nose which lead to discoloration. I went in wanting to explore my options on how I could exchange my glasses for something better . The staff had such a warm inviting welcoming when I walked in and immediately helped me out ! My rep went as far as bringing multiple looks of the style of glasses I was in search of ! She even took the time to narrow the glasses down and I came out with two pairs that I absolutely adored ! The managers were literally the most nicest people ever ! They even complimented me and made me feel even more confident walking out ! I am so happy I chose Lens Crafters for my glasses needs and even more so this location in particular played a huge role on making me feel like I could make this place my go-to ! Do not go here. The customer service is poor and the service is overpriced. The office workers are inadequate and disrespectful. Twice I have called asking for my contact prescription to be emailed to me. I have yet to recieve it, but instead Ive recieved sassy replies from staff on the phone. Moreover, just the eye exam is over $50, while it is about $15 in New York, with the same insurance plan. Greedy and manipulative prices plain and simple. Maintain your self-respect and go somewhere else for you optical needs.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The two ladies that were working when we went in had a lovely rapport with each other and would draw their customer into their conversations. You could tell they loved what they were doing. My visit was on Feb 2, 2021 at 6:25ish pm...the young lady helping us took her time and gave her full attention, never rushing us at all...and she was supposed to get off at 6:30! I will be back provided those ladies are there!

Hands down these young ladies have worked tirelessly for a solution to my purchase of Eyewear through Care Credit...I think we have all come to know all the associates at care credit due to having to continuously trying to get a straight answer.Long story short we found a different solution, I will have my glasses in a week and can once again see the light ..lol.I especially want to give a shout out to Isheeka, that girl is a leader and shes headed to the top.Her level of professionalism is top notch!She is extremely engaging, funny yet very business oriented.I hope Lens crafters knows what an asset they have in her and her team.I finally can say that I have a GO TO PLACE for all my Eyewear needs..Thanks girls, yall made this ole doll happy.

Well, this was my first time going to LensCrafters. It was not the most highly recommended experience, to be honest. Let me first say the associate that assists me name Ashley was very nice and helpful ( I told her I usually have my daughter with me to pick out my glasses and she was not with me) So she helped me choose a pair.  However, I need my glasses before surgery and made sure that this was doable before placing the order. Well, my surgery was coming up and I had not heard from them. I called and they told me they were in. I proceed to go and pick them up when I got there was told they were not ready, ugh excuse me I just was told they were after waiting 20 minutes I was advised that they are in but there was a problem with the Lens (the most expensive part to a pair of glasses)  However they could give me this pair but need to reorder my lens, but could not show me or point out what was wrong. Upsetting this was but okay. At this point, all I knew was I needed a pair of glasses for after my surgery.  Now that I can see, I have located how the lens is separating from the glasses. So I took this pair and was informed I would get a call when my other lens come in. Well, that has been almost 20 days ago and no contact. For this I am disappointed in their customer service and how they handle first-time customer this was not a good impression on me. I am not sure if they will get another opportunity. Communication and Customer Service is very essential in any relationship, especially an business. This has been my experience and it has not been a pleasurable one.

Not good at all!! You just lost all (4) family members as paying customers. . . Went for my appt, was seated for 15 mins, then brought to an exam room only to be told that my Eye-Med Insurance does not cover a $49 exam visit. Why was I not informed when I made the appt or when I entered the store??? ! Bad business practice and wont be coming back! Reason given for new $49 charge Oh we have new doctors gotta be kidding me!! I declined the extra charge and left. Will be taking my business elsewhere for sure, wish I could rate as a no-star.

Don’t know how this location has so many 1 star reviews. All three times I’ve been to this location in the past year and a half I never had any issues whatsoever. The exam went great, the fitting for my glasses frames went great, received my contacts in the mail within 5 business days each time I’ve ordered them. And my glasses after the fitting and adjustments were ready to pick up the following morning. Great customer service every time I’ve been there and they have a decent selection of frames. All around great experience. I’ve set up an appointment for an eye exam and even have just walked right in and got taken care of.

Ive gone to Lenscrafters for several years. Every year it seems to goes downhill some more. Its all about them making sales and finding more ways to make money off of you. Some of the staff is friendly, but some of them are rude. I made an appointment online a couple months ago, went in and sat for an hour without being called and finally gave up. Id recommend looking for an actual eye doctor where the patient is priority.

I personally think this is the best place to come for glasses. I think some people are just impatient so dont listen to all reviews. The doc always does a good job. It didnt take long to get my glasses and my glasses are always the toughest ones to find. Also, Chelsea is the best. She does such an amazing job. Lenscrafter is lucky to have people like her up.

The optometrist here is very kind, and one of my favorite doctors. Even though the front desk staff can be a little rude or short sometimes, the doctor makes it worthwhile to come here, and justifies the 5 star rating. I voiced my concerns, and instead of talking over me he listened and then explained in a way that anyone can understand.

Worst eye exam experience ever. I had an eye exam scheduled for 4:45, I arrived at 4:30. After sitting there for an hour and being told my insurance could not be verified, the front desk associate realizes she was calling the wrong company. I was then told my provider was out of network. I continued with the exam and agreed to pay out of pocket. The eye exam took a little over an hour, when the physician finished, I reminded her that she didn’t dilate my eyes. She dilated them and ask that I sit there another 30 minutes. After sitting there, and still not being seen, i left. Eye exam unfinished, I was unable to get my glasses bc the insurance company had closed so i was told to come back! Never will I EVER!! If that’s not enough, I woke up the next day with the pink eye from their instruments and machines!

I received a pair of glasses from the VA in Oct 2018. These have been adjusted and readjusted by 3 different eyeglass shops including several trips to the VA. I developed a bad sore spot from the nose pads so while walking in Northwoods Mall I stopped at Lenscrafters to have them check the adjustment. Melissa took a quick look and knew the glasses were totally misadjusted. In 10 minutes she had my glasses feeling better than they had ever felt. I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Melissa for her great customer service and attitude. Your location is fortunate to have her working there.

Despite the negative reviews, I found this to be perhaps the best eye related experience Ive ever had. The Optometrist was very good at what he was doing, and all of the staff were most congenial and very helpful. 10 out of 10, I would recommend this place to anyone. Never before have I seen a group of people so committed to customer service.

Let me start by saying that I have been going to LensCrafters for a couple of years and had good service. I went in November 2018 and had an issue with blurred vision. The Doctor examined me and fixed the problem! I could not have been happier! He gave me a trial pair of contact lenses in my new prescription, then I went out front to order some more. When I threw out my trial pair and put in the new ones I noticed that they were the same prescription that I had previously. I wore them because I did not have a choice. I took them up to the store and asked to see my chart, telling the lady at the desk that I think there has been a mix up. She showed me my chart showing that my prescription was +5.0 in both eyes,just like the ones that I had. I was upset, but went on my way. My vision progressively got worse. Then a few weeks later I received a phone call saying that I was over due for my eye exam. I told them that was incorrect and they hung up on me. I called back to see if someone could help me, but no one responded to my message. I decided to go back and talk to someone to correct the problem. They pulled my chart, and on another page was the prescription the doctor wrote for me +5.25 in both eyes, I told her that I would like for them to pay for the new contacts because they made the mistake. She told me that since it had been more than three months since my visit that there was nothing they could do.I told her that I had been up there previously and called to discuss the issue and was told I was incorrect.She said I want to get your story straight, which I took as she thought I was being dishonest!When she came back from talking with thetmanager, she said that the manager would take $50 off the new contacts.I didnt feel as though that was fair considering they are the ones who made the mistake.She then went back to speak with the manager again, this time coming back to say that the new prescription did not exist, the doctor claimed that the writing on my chart was not his but another woman who was currently not at work that perhaps they never changed my prescription but told me to wear readers with my contacts.At that time I became very upset because no one had ever told me to wear readers and I knew for a fact that he had changed my prescription. I felt as though they were trying to back pedal and cover their mistake by telling me that the prescription did not exist. If the prescription did not exist then how did I get a trail pair that fixed the problem! They offered me a free exam to fix it, but that really got be upset. Why would I need a new exam! I already had one that fixed the problem! They completely lied and how was I to trust them after that. I got WAY to upset and told them how I felt and then left. On my way out one of the workers said she was going to get security. Why! Because I felt I had been ripped off and lied to and felt like they thought I was lying and told them?! I didnt curse or threaten anyone. She then said to me on my way out of the mall (not the store) that I should try coming at her. I told her that she was just being mean and rubbing salt in the wound, to which she replied Have a LOVELY day sir! I am sure that I will next the standard Dear so and so we are sorry please contact so and so blah blah blah, but they will not reimburse me for the contacts.

My wife and i went in for an eye exam. We had four oclock and five oclock appointments. First off we waited over 2 hours past our appointment time. The ladies at the desk were very rude and seemed to not even acknowldege our presence. The dr. Was ok. After my examL i was told i would have to wait for about a week for my trial contacts because i have a rare axis. Two weeks went by with no thing so i went in to store to inquire. Was told they had my left eye but not my right because the supplier was out of stock and refused to.give me my prescription so i could order elsewhere. I waited another two weeks and finally they called saying my lenses were in. I specifically asked if i needed an appointment they said no. I came in and they refused to give them to me and said i need an appointment to receive them. This has been the worst of xperience i have ever had. This place is litterally the worst experience i have ever had go litterally anywhere else.

THE WORST EYE EXAM EXPERIENCE EVER!! I went in indicating i wanted my annual exam for CONTACTS. The Dr administering exam acted frustrated during the exam then at the end wrote the prescription for GLASSES. Upon explaining i wanted contacts (fully aware they aren’t as affective but for years I’ve worn both and it’s what i WANTED) he began talking to be very condescendingly so i just paid for the exam and went to America’s Best where i paid ANOTHER $79 but at least i got what i went in for! The wait is excessive and they desperately need a lesson on customer service!

I purchased a pair of great frames from this location a little under a year ago, and within a few months the lenses developed permanent smudges and it appeared that some of the protective films were cracking at the edges. I purchased lens insurance from them when I bought the glasses, so I went into the store recently to use it. When I explained what was happening, the staff, while polite, tried to delegate blame on me. Ive been wearing glasses for over 10 years, have even worn cheap prescription glasses I bought online for $30, and never once have my lenses messed up the way they did this time.And then they tried to make me pay a co-pay before they would fix my lens.From now on, Im going to deal with local places and not chains.

So first time shame on you. Second time shame on me. There will not be a third time. They can care less of your needs and just try to sell sell sell and then get your order wrong and make you wait forever. I only go there cause I prefer Oakley glasses sun and eye. They are one of the few that carry them. I just heard Jackson Davenport carries them so my business will be going else wear. I am done dealing with the long wait times, incorrect orders. Its a shame case they never admit they are wrong and are extremely rude about it as well.

Worse experience ever, its almost as if the staff are allowed to walk around being rude and with bad attitudes. They told me I had no vision insurance which they were clearly wrong, I have blue cross blue shield federal and have never had any problems using my insurance anywhere, then after telling me they didnt accept my insurance, I decided to go somewhere else but I fell in love with the Ray bans that lenscrafters had in which the other place didnt, so I went back to purchase the frame only from lenscrafters which was 183.00, the sales girl couldnt care less about selling me the glasses, she told me i would have to buy the ones on display which were all scratched up and there were other damages. Customer service there is horrible. Never again.

The eye exam and doctor was great, but not the service of my glasses. I was told it would take 10 days to get them back. 12 days pass and no call from them. 3 weeks later, I received a call from them to tell me that my glasses came in but ha ve a scratch on lens. I was told I can wear them till the new lens come in. I paid for glasses to be back in a timely manner and no defaults. Why would I wear them? Now Im waiting once again for my glasses. Its going on 4 weeks. Ive been to another Lens Crafters from a different county but I will not return to this one.

I walked into the store & wasn’t greeted initially, after being in the store for 15 minutes, I still wasn’t greeted, so I had to stop browsing the store of jelling myself look for and try on glasses & stand in front of an associate to even get acknowledged. Once I was acknowledged by an associate who was helping another customer, she informed me that a particular associate would assist me as soon as she was done with her customer. This said associate who was supposed to help me was also told by another associate in which I overheard to help the NEXT CUSTOMER. A young man walked into the store approximately 8 minutes after me & was helped first by the young lady who was supposed to help me when she was done. Feeling disrespected I walked up to my intended associate & informed her I was next. Long story short, CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE, & I felt racially profiled against as if I wasn’t able to afford any of their glasses when in actuality I was ready & willing to pay CASH for my order. Funny thing is, that’s not the first time I’ve never been greeted initially upon walking into this same LensCrafter. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, they don’t even deserve one star. When it’s all said & done you associates are only sales people who sell high-end glasses, don’t get it misconstrued any other way.

Even though the optometrist is friendly and helpful, the actual store is a disorganized mess. My appointment took over an hour and a half because I was constantly told to wait. I waited for 30 minutes with my eyes dialated while other people were being helped. Theyre just juggling patients without really fully assisting anyone

Went for my yearly eye exam here. Staff member ordered the wrong contacts. Was told I would get a $27 refund when I came to return the wrong contacts so they could order the correct ones... then when the exchange was completed I was told it zeroed-out, so I would not be issued a refund. Ended up costing me $48 for (1) 6 pk. box of AV Oasys/Astig. I found them online for $22/box!! Lenscrafters does over 100% mark-up on contacts. Total scam and terrible customer service. I wont be ordering contacts from them ever again.

Rude and unhelpful staff. Dr. Wheeler works multiple patients at once, trying to get people in and out. Doesnt explain what hes doing and has no concern for patients. This is my 2nd time using him and will never return. He got my prescription wrong and write I needed glasses as needed yet in 2011 he wrote full time, Ive been wearing glasses full time for yearssss. Not a good feeling with the service they provide. To top it off they told me I didnt have vision insurance, which I clearly to do and confirmed it with provider, probably so they could over charge me!
