I used to shop at Walmart but lately the store has been dirty, the shelves empty and the employees rude. So, Ive been trying out other stores. The one I like the most is Food Lion. Its super clean and organized. The shelves are well stocked and the employees are extremely friendly. The staff goes out of their way to help. Food Lion is my go to grocery store for now on.

I must commend the staff at this particular Food Lion. Very pleasant, and extremely helpful. Also, I was thrilled to find out that this location is providing a few vegan dairy options. This is truly a grocery store that is attempting to provide options for the entire surrounding community. Keep up the good work. You are greatly appreciated.

This location had a major upgrade last year. It is now very clean and the staff are very helpful. They have a good pricing and selection of goods.

Cashiers are bad tempered. When reporting my awful experience that involved one of their extremely disrespectful cashiers to a manager, the cashier continued to show disrespect toward me in front of the manager. The manager did nothing to acknowledge the irritation i felt or the way her employee spoke to me even though i continued to try staying as nice as possible. Would not recommend shopping here and wish i could give less than 1 star.

Its Food Lion descent prices friendly staff I have been going here for 16 years and Im happy with it.

Me and my friend got some apple sauce here and when we got home she went to go eat one and it was empty and had maggots crawling over it i tried to contact the store’s customer service but couldnt get through

Always dirty. Loads of empty shelves and some food is expired on the shelf. They do not care. I have to shop here as its the closest store to me and i do not drive. Right not they have almost no meat in store

Consistently short of cashier lines being open. Polite and professional cashier today, which was a surprise considering theyre usually very rude, ill-tempered, condescending and unprofessional. 8 lines plus Express and customer service but only two cashiers consistently every day. Three at most. During heavy business hours. Someone is not tracking movement properly and scheduling accordingly

Management is nowhere to be found, even after they were called over the speakers, the assistant manager had his mask around his chin every time I saw him. Barbara was amazing, all the cashiers were hustling. Store was dirty, no sanitizing happening, no enforcement of wearing a mask, EMPLOYEE & CUSTOMER

If you like sour milk and getting harrassed in the parking lot for money this is the store for you. Ive bought a gallon of sour milk three weeks in a row and while Im getting that milk i have to listen to one particular employee curse the whole time he stocks the cheese and yogurt and eggs and milk. It was a nice place, clean and all associates had their masks on.The prices were more reasonable than the other supermarket that I visited earlier. Also, they had basically everything you need for the kitchen. a d home.I liked that place.

I went there for something I cant even remember, but they had my favorite chips in stock, so I bought two bags.

Good. I think the new cashier need more training. Im trying to purchase couple packs of cigarettes & the cashier didnt where to look on the brand name.

Cashier was slow and lines where long..store was on the warm side.

Ok so I have a printed payroll check with all the security level paper, stickers and markings with an authorized signature written in ink. So with all that and my Id and I actually brought 2 forms of identification cuz I usually mobile deposit. She says she cant take it cuz the signature was written in pen? And she was going to take it but because I signed the back like Im supposed she wasnt cashing it and thats after waiting 10 min in line. Not happy! Maybe she should look at the store policy because it says Real signature required. Payroll checks must be signed by an authorized company representative. This signature must be handwritten in person, a stamped handwritten signature, or a handwritten signature copied by computer and printed on the check. Not valid: Computer font-generated signatures. 1 star good bye lol

I enjoy shopping at this Food Lion location on Dorchester Road in North Charleston. This store is well maintained and managed and is one of the very few groceries store in the area so it is very convenient to get to when you need to buy some quality food in this part of town. The prices and values on most of the items here are really good for the most part and you will even find some items here that you will not find in other stores. The staff here is very friendly and helpful and they really care about their customers and will stop what they are doing to make sure that you are helped and taken care of. I have had a really positive experience every time that I have been in here and it is good to have a consistent grocer that you know you can count on for quality.

Never have enough cashiers on duty. Lines are always backed up at least six or seven people deep. Ridiculous

This food lion is terrible, they make you take your lunch hours after you’re supposed to. The don’t treat their workers fairly.

A very friendly place

We drove all the way to this location because their store hours said they closed at 10pm, both on google and the posted hours outside the store. We arrived shortly after 9pm and found the doors to be locked and the store is closed. As we were leaving we saw multiple people also arrive and try to enter. Please have the updated hours.

I appreciate every worker at Foodlion during all this crazy COVID-19 stuff...it is stressful, and no fun right now but we, the public, would be lost without you! Bless each and every one of you!!!

Great location close to the highway and not far from the interstate access. It is located in a large shopping center with various types of stores and businesses located around the area.

It was ok couldve been better. The manager Jay was nice and helped me all the way.

Untrained management if they do not how to handle propane sales they should not do it.

Very nice place to shop prices are very low great variety of stuff to choose from.

Prices went up as soon as their compilation closed. I rarely shop here anymore. I drive a little further for better deals.

This store has switched to paper bags. It is very inconvenient. Im sure they could have come up with a better alternative than that. Whoever made this decision did not have the customer in mind.

First let me say there is a really nice lady named Barbara that works as a cashier there. She is the only reason I will step foot in that store. Also the only reason I give the store any stars. She is one of the kindest most compassionate people youll ever met in your life.Now for the bad, the store manager isnt absolute A -hole. I was in there shopping with my granddaughter only two lines were open one which had a lady buying four billion things paying for groceries with WIC which anyone who uses WIC knows it takes forever. there was about 30 people in the store trying to check out. The other register was run by the store manager. My granddaughter and I got up to the register and the store manager said Im closed. I said you realize how many items the lady in the only line thats open has and how many people are trying to check out? He said too bad Im going back to the service desk. I did not buy my groceries I walked out. The employees will even tell you hes a rude sob. the only time I will shop in that store is if my good friend Barbaras working there. Also make sure you check your date on their products because I find so many products that are more than a month out of date its ridiculous. If u want to meet the store manager, just look for the fat bald guy in the white shirt. Im sure hell have some rude comments for you.

I love this store. There is a lady named Mrs. Barbara that is very helpful.

I spent 10 minutes grabbing some things I needed. Was also in a hurry trying to get to work on time. I asked my cashier to please use her store card for the discounts. She insisted that I had to apply for a card. First of all, there are no perks to having a food lion card. Just offer the sales, that is what draws customers in. If you are not going to offer any bonus perks in having a card, then dont offer one. Needless to say, I walked out of the store without buying anything. When I got to work, I called the manager and she claims that the cashiers are asked to encourage the customers to sign up for a card, but if the customers refuses, the cashier can use a store card. I am a white woman, I am now wondering if it was a racial issue with this black cashier.

I waited over 15 minutes just to put my items onto the belt. Only three registers were open at 6 pm on a weekday. Then, my grocer bagged my groceries at the slowest rate possible, and there was no one to help put my bags into the cart, so I did that myself.

This store does nothing at all to help contain the virusthey are supposed to let you in one door and out the other they dont do that they have no one cleaning their carts some people wear masks Im dont they dont keep people separated in the store

This Food Lion has the Bare Essentials, which is great, but not much else.
