Talked to Gary on the phone to buy a car listed on Facebook Marketplace.11:00 am: Negotiate a price, gives me the all clear to get a bank check and insurance policy. He assures me that hell hold the car for me to pick up tomorrow morning because theyre not that kind of dealership to sell cars out from under people.2:00 p.m. I go to the bank to take out a loan and get a bank check for the agreed price. Called my insurer to get a policy on the car.6:30 p.m. I get a text from Gary saying they sold the car to someone else. He called it a bidding war despite already giving me his word that the deal was made with me. Gary tells me that he just works here and cant do anything for me to make it right, besides selling me a different car.Seems their word has little integrity. So Im off to the bank this morning to see if theyll reverse this loan.

Gary is a good guy. Helpful, eager to make customers happy, and would go out of his way for anyone. Jen, Glenn, and Charlie are also very helpful. I see they are opening another NH location in Exeter as well.

Bought a truck from them a few months ago. Have had nothing but problems with it. Engine light constantly comes on. Still havent been able to get it inspected. Not trustworthy and the vehicles are not good. Would not recommend!

Called and requested some info on a vehicle they had for sale. The woman who answered the phone, Jen, had no answers on some general questions I had about the vehicle. I then asked how they acquired it and she stated she bought it off an individual when the carfax clearly shows an auction....small red flag. She then stated she would have to call me back as she wasn’t in the office. Never received a call and never heard from her. Not a way to treat customers and earn business. I cannot speak on the quality of their pre owned vehicles but based on the way I was treated without even showing up I Won’t be buying from them!

Where do I even begin? I bought a 2006 Dodge Charger from them that was ostensibly in mint condition. We had major problems from Day 1: the check engine light was constantly coming on and the lights would automatically shut off while I was driving. While they offered to fix the problems, at no time did they set me up with a loaner or rental car, or anything to remedy my lack of transportation. After the first or second attempt at fixing the check engine light, they diagnosed it as an emissions issue, fixed it, and asked me to drive my car back home in the middle of a snowstorm. While driving, I discovered that my car lights shut off multiple times on the way home. When I attempted to tell them, the salesman (A) began talking over me, telling me that my check engine light coming on wasnt a big deal. After getting the problem fixed for the fourth time and having it pass an inspection, it turned out that nothing was actually done about the problem. According to them, it was a false positive from an unrelated issue. We had six attempts to resolve the check engine light, none of which were successful. After informing them of my lights shutting off, their salesman tried to tell me that it was normal - something that the owner (C) even found hard to believe. According to the A, my headlights shutting off in the middle of the night was an intended feature. He then told me it was a bad alternator, which could be fixed through their mechanic. I could not make it because if I did drop my car off, I had no ride into work because they refused to give me a loaner. Because of this, their salesman refused to set up another appointment and decided to do the replacement himself. Two days after, my serpentine belt was shredded to bits, and I had to tow it to my personal mechanic, who discovered that the alternator pulley was also dented (possibly caused by their botched replacement). I found over $1,000 worth of damages (on top of the money I already spent fixing their mistake) that made the car unsafe to drive. To top it all off, after multiple tests, it turns out the false positive was the previous emissions issue they claimed to fix.I attempted to resolve the issue multiple times with the C, but he kept pushing it onto A. As far as I am concerned, McCauley Wholesale showed no concern for my safety, no desire to fix my car, and lied to me from the moment I stepped onto the lot. Buy anywhere else in America. Do not buy from McCauley Wholesale.

I was recently in the market for a used Subaru. I found several, but when I met the owners, not only did I know it was it the right car, but I could trust them. Jennifer knows her Subarus and I will highly recommend her. Charlie helped with paperwork while Jennifer took care of other things. I was out of there in an hour with my new car! The car was spotless, inspected with a full tank of gas too. Overall rating, is a solid 9. The facility wasnt the fanciest, but their wholesale prices are well worth it.

They took advantage of a friend of mine. Just because you sell a vehicle As Is, you should still have enough pride and decency to make the repairs before you sell it. She paid $7,000.00, not $700.00. NH needs to toughen up and institute a strict Lemon Law so used car dealers cant rip people off anymore.

I recently was in the market to buy a fun summer car. I found just what I wanted at McCauley Wholesale! I decided to purchase a sweet convertible VW Beetle.I called about details on the car and asked Jen one of the owners about the car and what I could expect in purchasing this vehicle. She had a ton of knowledge especially on VWs as she had worked in the VW sales industry for over 20 yrs. This made me feel more confident in my purchase! Jen was kind enough to hold the vehicle for me until my tax return came in which ended up being 2 weeks! She could have sold the car a few times in between but held it for me! That meant alot to me and I found her to be extremely nice patient and professional. She followed up with me after I drove off later that evening to check up to see if I liked the car and that I thought was nice too. It showed me she really cared! I was treated like family had a wonderful experience and would highly reccommend checking them out and eventually purchasing through them !! Thanks again McCauley Wholesale!

Buyer beware! We bought a 09 Subaru here for 5K. First warning was they listed it under private sale, and being a auto dealer violates CL policys (they have been notified) We paid $5000 and soon as it was home it leaked oil all over my garage. They told us it was gone through and had a new timing belt, and head gasket. Was told they had documentation about the work being done, but none was ever shown? When bring the car to a certified dealer (Tri-City Subaru) they told us that rats had chewed all the wires and will need a new wiring harness that 2K! on top of that another 2K for new head gaskets, and timing belts. We have photos, and proof! The McCauley has denied this and said that it was not true. And never called us back. Living on the seacoast my whole life I will be sure to let everyone I know what I think of this company.

After six months of searching for Manual used 2000-2004 VW Jettas and Audi A4 Quattro with fewer than 100k miles on them in decent condition for under $3,000. I found an ad on Facebook Marketplace for a Green 2000 VW Jetta at McCauleys wholesale for $2750.I purchased that 2000 VW Jetta with 89,000 miles on it on January 8, 2016, from Lee (TLC Marine and Auto). The only things wrong with the car after inspecting it thoroughly on the lift were the sunroof was a little off, the glove box broke, and one other cosmetic interior item.Structurally and mechanically the car was sound. It was not a manual transmission but an automatic but at the year, mileage and price I couldnt leave without it. And I didnt have to lick the door handle to claim my Volkswagon. The day after purchase with about 25 miles on the car, the check engine light came on. I called Charley and said no problem bring the car back and they would fix the issue for free. I dropped the car off Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. Lee gave me a ride to work, and by 11:30 a.m. my vehicle was parked in the parking lot at my place of employment all fixed. It turned out it just needed the coil pack replaced. They both (Charley and Lee) provided exemplary customer service with a smile and at no time made me feel pressured or less than for being a female car shopper. Its now June 21, 2019, and I am still driving the same car with a little of 115,000 miles on it. In the past few years, Ive replaced general wear and tear items like CV joints, starter, timing belt, tires, brakes, etc. I drove the Marlboro College, Yale, St Anselms, Plum Island, and all over NH and ME to surf and visit friends.**Note The correct address is 68 Lafayette Road, North Hampton two driveways before Pioneers Surf Shop**
