Very well managed grocery store. I can tell the manager is very smart. He taped the mango boxes using a transparent tape so you can see the mangoes but you cannot touch the mangoes therefore all the bacteria and virus doesnt go to the mangoes and the mangoes stays fresh longer because of it.Lot of vegetables in the fridge and when the store opens he transfers them to there usual place keeping them fresh longer. Very happy with the store and its items. You can find to just about anything that you cannot find in a local Indian grocery store. Lucky to have them and I hope they stay in business for years to come.
You get all indian grocery and other items. Indian will not miss India.
Surprisingly negative experience. Ive only had positive experience with Patel Bros since they opened. Well, that changed. I called asking if they carried idli cloth. When the store associate hung up the phone I heard her describing my question as bakwas. Honey, get your inventory online and you wont have to field any more bakwas queries; more importantly, we wont be subjected to your sour attitude.
Store has a decent-sized parking lot. Theres plenty of Asian products to choose from but the selection for the vegetables is ok but not so great. Still, great place overall.
Only place to go for authentic Indian groceries. Competitively priced.
A good Indian grocery store. It has fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen food and packed food. You can also buy Indian spices, sweets and namkeens. Overall a good store. I also found mangoes here today but I wish they stock Indian mangos . Friendly and helpful staff. Dont forget to carry your bags as they dont give bags.
Good place to get all your Indian staple foods and other types of goods along with a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Amazing groceries retail chain catering to the Indian / South Asian families and taste buds. We visit Patel Brothers almost exclusively for all our Indian food ingredients. Extremely well priced and a fantastic range of options. If you grew up in India and migrated later in life, youll find tons of brands here thatll take you back to your childhood.
Good place to find Indian groceries and desi vegetables that most if the chain groceries stores dont carry.
Great market for authentic Indian staples spices produce and prepared foods. Spices are of high quality and incredibly inexpensive. Produce is high quality as well. They have ingredients you wont find in the local supermarket. If you like to cook just visit and you will get tons of inspiration
The life-saver grocery store for any Indian family - that’s Patel Brothers. This particular store seemed relatively smaller (or relatively less stocked) than the ones in Journal Square (Jersey City) or Jackson Heights (Queens), but there wasn’t really anything that we needed that we couldn’t find. They’re well staffed and very efficient (both with billing and keeping the shelves organized) and overall the place is pretty clean and easy to navigate.
Great shopping experience at. They make grocery shopping a fun experience! It doesnt hurt that the quality of their products is superb with fresh meat, farm fresh vegetables, store made cookies, and more.
Super Indian Grocery Store Great prices, great produce. Lots of spice/grains selection.
I love this place where you can buy fresh vegetables.
Good collection of Indian groceries, vegetable and Rice. Gets lots of puja items and indian utensils.
Great stop for fresh veggies
Nice place at surrounding to get Indian groceries
Great Indian grocery store. The produce is always fresh and they have a wide selection of international products.
Very good pleace!!
It’s a great store for Indian foods, with branches all over the country . Prices are fair and quality is good.I think they are providing a great service to the Indian community in USA.
Great place to get Indian spices, food, bread, cheers and fruits. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The prices are very good as well.
You can get quality groceries and fresh veggies... First choice for groceries....
Good food and prices
Expansive selection of some products available here but others not so much. The store itself could use some tidying up, fighting moths inside store is not my idea of a pleasant shopping experience. Have visited other Patel Brothers locations and this particular location is smaller and could use some sprucing up.
Great place to get fresh grocery and Indian food. Avoid weekends if possible as the place gets very busy. Good selection of snacks and desserts as well as healthy food options.
Has good variety, hopefully the can stop people from idling in front of the store. It is an absolute nuisance.
Great service and food
Friendly people and staff. Covid Safty guidelines are followed by customers & employees. So many varieties of produce, groceries from USA and from other countries. Excellent place for Taste of food from home countries.
People are very nice keep going like that may God continue to bless you guys 🙏🏼🙏🏼
They have good vegetables and my mom usually shops there.
Customer service is good, select snacks are always running out, wish there was pickup option and delivery options.
Fist time shopper at this store and I was very happy to come. I found the staff to be very helpful, especially their supervisor Maggie. She helped me find ALL the items on my list and recommended food items that currently popular among customers. My first visit was a very pleasant experience.
Number one place to go for any Indian necessities ... spices, vegetables, rice, they have everything at a very reasonable price... only wish they were a little closer to me but still well worth the trip... keep up the good work
Always a positive experience. They carry everything youd want and more
They always have what we need.
Each and every item is pricier by $1-1.5 than any other indian grocery store in Connecticut.
Cashier was very helpful when I asked how to cook something I was making a indian dish with cardamom pods and was not sure very helpful
Delicious and reasonably priced. They allow indoor dining and follow COVID19 restrictions. Go for it. 🙌🏽
Great place for Indian groceries. You need anything Indian, you can get it there.
Prices are higher compared to apna bazzar, less variety but clean and has no typical stink.
Excellent selection of Indian spices, rice, frozen foods, dairy, produce. Prices are fair (sometimes excellent). Its hit or miss. Service is fair (but you have to ask). Theyre polite and willing to help. Checkers are efficient and usually accurate. Hours are strange and inconsistent. Space is sometimes tight. Aisles are narrow, and it can be hard to maintain separation.
Best place for Indian groceries and foods
Nice place with a lot of variety, shorter wait times and polite staff.
This is one of the many great stores in Norwalk Connecticut Avenue! I would categorize it as a indian/asian grocery store- meaning theres a lot of snacks & variety of vegetables. Problem is-even though social distancing+masks are required, theres a medium crowd everyday that makes social distancing harder. I would recommend this place a lot for normal times, but if one can really keep themselves safe, then go ahead & enjoy shopping!
Very clean, well organized.
Good selection of south Asian groceries. Was supprised to find Moringa leaves.
Another good place to get halal food/groceries. It is clean and fresh produce available. If you like the long grain basmati rice this is the place to get it.
Today was my first experience at the store. I passed by for years never went inside. I have been missing out because now Im addicted. Oh thank you GOD.
Good small supermarket to find vegetables at discounted price. Would like to see more varieties of lactose products including non dairy. Staff very courteous and polite. Store can be more clean instead of boxes all over the floor. Parking very tight though.
No more NJ trips, we got all desi food here. Well maintained.
Best place to get Indian groceries
The service is good. The staff is helpful!
The best spot to buy Indian Groceries, great prices and very friendly staff.
I can find fruit from my country in this place
Price are little bit higher, compare with NY side grocery store!!
Always check the person at the register they will always try to charged you more than what they say
Liked all the indian groceries
Good place. The ladies at the register need to stop talking to each other and on the phone so much and be faster with checking out the customers items.
Its great place to shop you find great deals over there and the fruits and legumes are fresh and affordable prices
Best Indian grocery place in CT. Pinky was very friendly and helpful!
The only good indian store. Nothing to compare. But vegetable not fresh they go bad in a day if you buy them. But for other indian stuff they are good.
Great store. You can find veggies cheaper than other local stores. They do have great collection of Indian groceries. Enough parking space available. They wont let you allow in without masks in covid-19 era.
Absolutely love the price and the options here with the limited scope of Indian groceries elsewhere.
Good Indian grocery store. place is little small and the aisles are very narrow. It is hard to maneuver the carts for 2 people simultaneously. they have good variety of stuff. prices are ok.
Great customer service, products are great and fair price
If the Patel Brothers had been better about branding it could have been Trader Patels !But the best selection of Southeast Asian/ Indian food, spices, CPG, etc in the US and All reasonably priced..Think of it as an Indian Trader Joes
Really sweet and caring staff who helped me with my numerous questions
Best place to find rice and vegetables. Basmati rice and lots of fresh vegetables at a reasonable price.
A place whenever visited always better then before and everything I need very much in variety, freshness, best prices compared.
Wonderful staff and they were very efficient in providing swift service.
Great selection, nice people, and so many spices!
East or west Patel is best. For all cuisines.
This grocery store is an absolute gem. Besides having wonderful spices and Indian specific ingredients, the produce is fresher and better quality than most other grocery stores. This the THE place to get okra.
Good store! Friendly staff!!! Lot of options.
The staff was extremely helpful. On a recent shopping trip... Twice when I was standing in an aisle and looking totally confused... a staff member offered to help... and they didnt just point. They took me to the actual product. And, just as importantly, they didnt run off after we found what I was looking for. Each time, the staff member paused and asked if I needed help with anything else. Now, thats my idea of full service. And finally, as I was checking out, I showed a photo to the cashier of the very last item I needed and had not found. I was sure they didnt have it. But the cashier smiled confidently, and then called someone to get it for me. Thank you Patel Brothers for a fabulous first time shopping experience!! And you can count on be coming back, and becoming a regular customer.
Bad customer service
You get EVERYTHING! Indian spices, Indian Ice cream, Indian Desserts, Roti, Naan, Chapati, Sweets.Note: Make sure you take your own bags.
Very nice this is my favorite store thank you
Home away from home. Great store with ample of varieties available from Indian groceries, snacks to vegetables, you get everything here.
New things. Other cultures
Very complete Indian grocery. Excellent Asian vegetable selection. Good prices.
Just another regular Indian store. Not at the scale of Patel Brothers of Queens. This one has store layout that is not easy to maneuver with cart. Very tight spots in different areas of the store. The sweets are packaged and not fresh. Its in Connecticut, so you better bring your own bag or they will charge you for it. Will visit if in the neighborhood but definitely wont go out of way to buy Indian grocery items.
Like any other patel store, this place boasts off having made available everything that an Indian kitchen would demand.
Great Indian Groceries at good prices! Fresh vegetables. Helpful staff. Ample parking.
Everything you need to make Indian food can be found right here
Greater selection of items. Amazing prices. Their customer service cant be beaten! Check them out for amazing deals!
Amazing prices. They had all the items I was searching for since last year.
Only decent Indian grocery store option for South Eastern CT. Vegetables are not fresh most of the time. I almost always get the coconut thats bad inside. Its either me or most coconut they carry are bad
Great place find specialized items
Not as good as the one in Milford. I think this is better for Hindus than Muslims but I have seen both. There is no halal meats (I think) and there are also idols being sold. Me and my mother occasionally buy fresh fruits vegetables and herbs from here which are better and less expensive than the Stop and Shop, Shoprite, etc. If you are non-Desi it also not an issue to go there. You can buy henna products here if you want (I like the hair dye) but they do not sell cones last time I came. Buying spices and the bathroom water pot is also available unlike the other supermarkets.
Good ahoop
The employees are extremely nice and helpful. Never long lines at the cashier counter, and great selection
Resonable priced store. Needed Black Cardamon they had it for 3.99. Huge bag of star anise. I could go on. They have fresh fruit and vegetables. In a pinch for spices or anything india food base this is your place to shop.
My first Time there but definitely not my last - Specialty Hindu grocery market with an interesting and vast selection of Fresh and packaged foods, frozen foods, grains, veggies, fresh fruit and veggies, spices, soaps etc. that you will not find at your regular supermarket with some really good values throughout. Staff was friendly and helpful - I purchased fresh cilantro, fresh turmeric, Naan bread, curry powder, specialty soaps & pita bread at very good prices. Great hidden Gem certainly worth the Trip!
Dirty, smelly and produce not fresh at all.
Has everything at a good price, I kept sneezing because there were a lot of spices in the air. But thats just in the beginning of the store around the entrance. They speak English and Spanish which is very helpful for Spanish and English speakers. Theres a lot of fruit and vegetables, and Indian food.
Best Indian Grocery in Connecticut..Patel Brothers .Having very big Indian Grocery shop
