Stop and shop is well stocked all the time. The produce people will go in the back and look if its not on the shelf. Most cashiers are nice except this one guy with black rimmed glasses that always has an attitude. But ignore him and enjoy the store cleanliness and other awesome cashiers.

A must see if you are interested in architecture from the past. A very unique mansion in Matthews Park. Located in the city of Norwich. Easy access to a beautifully restored mansion/museum, redeemed from destruction. A real gem and a must see.

This comment is about the pharmacy. The meds part is fine although priced higher than others in the area. I am taking points off because I dont care for the setup. There is absolutely no way to speak to the pharmacist in confidence. The counter is wide open and despite a sign, people are too close. Its not a social distance issue but its that there is no privacy. So if you need to discuss your prescription then everyone can hear your details. The techs who fill your orders are too loud as well. They are calling out details while you stand there hoping no one knows what your script is for 🥺! I have to go there as it is close and if I am sick then I wont drive all over for a script. (Actually Big Y is better since it is set apart from the shoppers but it is a huge pain to park there.) I cant recommend the S&S pharmacy as anything but a necessary evil.

Store is clean and large variety of products. I noticed in the last few years the changes havent been executed to benefit the customer, example is the self check out. Three hours before closing self check out is closed and one register open. If staffing is the issue then instead of the one open register far from self check out; open the closest register to self check out and open 3 self check out register so that cashier can assist both customers.

Awesome! the town mayor instated a mask mandate even if you had both vaccines but 90% of the stores arent enforcing it and around 85% of the people are disregarding it.and although I do wear it I agree with them, a single person should not have that kind of control or power

I only go there once in a while. Prices on some things a little high. But its clean people are nice. Well stocked. Looks like their hiring for a number of positions. The last time. I used the restroom there was a few years ago. This time i say100 percent improvement. There was a person there even cleaning. Bathroom clearly up dated. Best thing about the place is if u need something u know they have it.

We are here visiting from Cincinnati. Didnt know anything about Stop & Shop. The cashier was very friendly and even let Us use the store discount card.

Everytime I go to this supermarket the meat is not fresh. The plastic on the products is moist and you can see from the outside of meat package. Their technique is to not put the fresh meat out until customers buy the bad meat. Tonight I bought a pack of stop& shop hamburgers, eight in the pack, however, I tried to get the apparent fresh pack but when I arrived home the two on top was just alright but the bottom ones smelled bad and discolored. Please send the meat manager to a place for air heads before he destroy somebody with the meat products he try to preserve. Im sure that people get sick after eating their rotten meats. The residents may be immune to the terrible rotten meat. Terminate the manager or whoever run that department. Dont understand? Go see and eat for yourself. Its amazes me how they get a single good review lately. I guess their employees are loyal by giving reviews in their favor. But they are the worst stop& shop out of all the ones I been to in CT. Go see and eat the meat. I dare you!!

Mostly a good experience, certain things can be difficult to find. Staff is helpful

Parking lot was crowded with anticipation. Once in the store, produce was stocked and available, meats were rarely available to non existence, cheese was limited to name brands at higher cost, dairy creamers were limited to brand names also at a higher cost, juice shelves were barely stocked, frozen items were sporadic throughout the coolers. Cashiers were available though numbers were limited creating lines extending into area inform of registers. Non perishable stock was being placed on shelves. For the first day opening early for individuals 60 and over, most would have expected the shelves to be stocked and ready for the day. However, deliveries will be made throughout the day.

Stopped here for some snacks for the hotel by the casino. Snacks were good lost 50 bucks in the end on the cherry blast slot :(

I store and online ordering both worked well. Certainly a few online items we were advised to be out of stock only to find shelves fully stocked at the time of pickup. Not a deal breaker.

I recently has a tall order for the flower department. Needed a same day bouquet, for an event I was hosting. The florist was filling in from another store with no manager on duty. I wish I had cought her name because she was outstanding! She made my arrangement in record time right there on the spot. It couldnt have come out more beautiful. So, hopefully she reads this and knows how grateful I am that she was the one who was working that day.

Prices are outrageous! People with color are watched closely and made to feel unwelcomed. One of the butchers was rude and Id go as far to say hostile. I wanted to ask him a question as he was bringing meat out and I was abt 3 ft. away from him and he had a mean look on his face while I was asking him a question he didnt answer my question and angrily said You need to be 6 ft. away! I apologized and walked away and a minute later I turned around there he was 2 ft. away from a Caucasian woman smiling and acting exactly opposite of how he was with me. I was very hurt by his behaviour towards me and actually had tears in my eyes. However, on the other hand, there is a sweet young man that works in the recycling room and the prkg lot who is very helpful and friendly and a pleasure to conversate with. I gave one star because of him and the other for convenience since its only a 5 min walk from my home.

Why is the bacon not in the meat department. I found it on the very beginning of your seafood department. The first 2 times I shopped your store i never found it. I found it today with the help of an employee. Only time I stop here is in the late evening around 10pm. Usually cant find anyone to help that late. Anyway glad to find it today

One of my most favorite supermarkets ever! Everything is so clean, and the food is extremely fresh! Prices are decent, sale prices are ridiculously low. The associates are always so kind and helpful. Its always a wonderful experience every time I walk through the door.

Normally I dont have any issues at this store....I love stop and shop, however the young lady who rang me out today treated me like I was a walking test tube of infection....I felt like a complete inconvenience for her.When I asked what her issue was, it got worse....if you have a person working for you that is afraid to touch anything behind someone, then perhaps having her on a register is WRONG!!!

As a senior citizen and lifelong Stop & Shop customer, Im trying hard to adjust to life in a pandemic. I appreciate the on-line ordering and pick-up option, but some of the substitutions are hard to take on the other side. It makes a difference in our meals, our recipes, and our pet care. Dont know whats going on with the supply chain that were unable to get so many basic items, but have no doubt theyre doing the best they can under the circumstances.I will continue to try to practice gratitude. Guess Ill just be exploring some new recipe options for some of the unwelcome substitutions that have come my way.Thank you for your effort S & S. I remain a loyal (though somewhat tested) customer.

Stop and Shop of Norwich, Ct has always been one of my favorite stores to shop at!! It is always well stocked and the employees are so very helpful even during the Pandemic. They were a really big part of our special essential workers ❤ Thank you all ❤

I love this place. Shopping here is always easy and stress free. Parking can be hit or miss. For people from the south, its kinda like publix

The one star is not for the employees there, who try hard, but for the overall management. This is the worst of our three major supermarkets in Norwich. Slowly, all the trusted brands are being replaced by this corporations own brand. They want to make $$ not only by selling stuff, but by packaging it and branding it also. Pandemic response is sketchy and inconsistent.

No help stand in long lines, you got to feel like youre at the DMV. Obviously a poorly managed store.

I like their meat selection the best. Reasonable prices. They had the 2 items I was searching for.

I went to the pharmacy, always friendly and knowledgeable and some gals even recognize you with a mask. Of course, I grabbed some groceries too, no problem except people going down the wrong aisles, not caring about it and also not social distancing even a bit. I did suggest to the customer service desk that they use their red and green colors to distinguish them more clearly...run green dots for the go and red for stop at the ends of each aisle and alley way. Add arrows if needed. The one thing I feel caused more problems with cross contamination is only being able to enter and exit at door by the desk. More people clustered in one location is a covid disaster. Whoever thought this was a good idea, was wrong. Also, if they were going to do only one door, it should be the one by the pharmacy since many people need their medications and dont want to be exposed by walking thru the length of the store and back where everyone is congregating to check out with families, etc., more chances of catching something. Plus its difficult for many ailing customers to walk that distance and back exposing themselves and other family members in the end. Please reconsider this and open both doors again, youre only causing harm to your customers and their families and your staff!

Not extraordinary compared to other stop and shops, they are all pretty much the same. Disappointed that this location only got a single order of chocolate creme pies in prior to the holiday.

The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices are pretty good, especially the sale items for the most part.

Great Produce, Seafood and Meats. Top notch bakery and cheese dairy . Wide selection of frozen foods and pre made meals. A good go to for many seasonal items. Gift cards and florist for those who love the one stop get all. And the Pharmacy meets the demand plus for those on the run or those slowed down that need a dependable pharmacist that will tend to their immediate needs .

The entrance inside was dirty with trash on the floor. Shopping cart did not work good at all. Not a lot of variety of things in the store.

Fresh foods veges and fruits

Grocery pickup is great, but I wish theyd do something about people parking in the pickup spots when theyre not picking up. Hard to find an open spot when theyre being misused.

Stopped in for vanilla ice cream. Not a carton or pint to be found. Such a common item available from so many manufacturers, to be out of stock at a major supermarket is awful management. Place looked like it was going out of business.

The store is finally upgrading after many years of broken freezers. But I still hate shopping here. Even in this time of social distancing they seem to have shrunk the space between aisles. If employees are stalking you can barely make your way through. Not their fault its the layout. well most staff is friendly, as usual I had to navigate the people in produce who seem to believe they are paid to socialize with each other in the way of customers who are just trying to do their shopping. Well I recognize they are in the middle of a rearrange it took me twice the time to find things because of poor signage. Exactly what I dont need when I am trying to limit my contact with the outside world. Once again I found myself wondering why I didnt go to a different grocery store today. If it wasnt so close to home I know I would never shop here.

One entrance, exit door was closed. So made parking a mess and for me disabled very long walk. Not good if the store had to evacuate.

Good and ready to eat food

This store has a robot. An annoying, beeps like an alarm that you dont want to hear, robot. I was in the produce area grabbing some yellow and green squash. I couldnt get away fast enough. It beeps so that you know its there. I usually browse through the cheeses and almost never leave a trip to S&S without dropping 50 bucks. I went to get a loaf of garlic bread and an elderly man in one of those scooters was backing up with the beep noise and kept saying crazy weather. That was an enjoyable relief compared to the Will Robinson reject. Everything else about this store is fine. I hope this is an experiment, because I wont be back to this store and will avoid any future stores that employ one. Have some mercy on your employees and get rid of that tacky thing. It doesnt even hand out samples.

Long lines, only a couple registers open, shopped using the scanner, after waiting in line 15 minutes the register wouldnt read the scanner, was told to go try another register, very displeased with store service.

The lines reached all the way into the frozen food area for check out. The manager couldnt seem to get his employees to comply and the layout of the store was weird.

Today at 5pm, there was a fully stocked, excellent variety of produce- fruit and veggies, available.Dried beans were nearly wiped out... although plenty of garbanzo beans could be purchased.

This stop and shop has a wonderful choice for Spanish cookers. An entire section right next to the deli. The men and women at the check out are also very pleasant and helpful to the patrons. Ive never had such a pleasant shopping experience in CT.

The selection is great at every Stop & Shop and this one is no exception. They have fresh and great produce as well. However their prices are often more expensive than the other local grocery stores unless they have a good sale going on. The Norwichtown location is always clean and well stocked.

The prices have risen dramatically. All meat and fish are in family sized packages with nothing for individuals, couples or small budgets. Limited fruits and vegetables but now in multiple displays with multiple prices.

Really nice and clean store. I do use other grocery stores because the prices here are much higher. But store kept up better and staff is very nice.

We contacted the Floral Department at Stop and Shop to provide flowers for our wedding and they did not disappoint! Deborah was an absolute pleasure to work with, and given we live out of state, she was more than accommodating and flexible meeting at times that were convenient for us. The floral arrangements she created, from bouquets to corsages to everything in between, were stunning. The flowers were fresh and the pricing was completely reasonable. We cant thank Deb enough for how breathtaking the floral arrangements looked!

Their prices are ridiculously high. One item I looked at was $6.49. when I went to the Dollar store I found the same thing for a dollar! I live near Stop and Shop but I dont shop there any more on a regular basis. I wonder if anyone else thinks the same.

Their bakery department is awesome friendly, efficient. Very satisfied with service they give going above and beyond!
