Came in for the second time for an inspection sticker, I was greeted with Colin who was very friendly and helpful. Colin informed me that there was an active recall on my car which he could take care of along with the inspection. True to his word recall was covered under warranty and inspection done, complete with a complimentary car wash, excellent and painless service experience with a relaxing atmosphere in the waiting area.I would highly recommend Volvo of Norwood to anyone in need of outstanding service.

The estimate cost of repair was given and at each phase of this repair I never felt intimidated or forced to complete the repairs needed at Herb Chambers Volvo.The car was repaired in the timely fashion. Had a great experience leasing a new 2022 Volvo XC 60 Inscription trim. They worked diligently to find the exact model we wanted (color and interior). Had to wait for it to shipped from Sweden about three weeks, but was worth it. The sales person Patti Young was fantastic. She spent over an hour with us going through every detail of electronics and operation so we felt comfortable. Service and attention was exceptional.

After spending an entire weekend shopping around at nearby dealers, I can confidently say that this dealership far exceeds the rest. From the moment I stepped foot into the dealership, I was immediately greeted and assisted by Alexander. I was able to test drive a vehicle in less than 5 minutes, which is a big deal after spending 10-20+ minutes at other dealerships before even being seen, let alone getting into a vehicle. Alexander spent a great deal of time with me, showing me all the color combinations in person so I could find the best option. He and Errol worked with me and my budget and set me up with my dream car! Alexander communicated effectively from the moment I test drove the car, all the way to picking it up and getting the keys! Recently had to have our brakes replaced as well as a very expensive passenger seat repair. Was thrilled that our service manager proactively reached out to make sure the expensive repair was covered by our extended warranty, something I thought we’d never use. When the part was delayed in arriving, they offered us a courtesy vehicle for a full week so we could still manage the demands of a busy family during the summer months. We dropped in to view and test drive SUVs. I completely understand that many dealerships prefer appointments to be made in advance to ensure salespeople are available but we were already in the area and decided to drop in. We took a quick look around at some cars out front before heading into the showroom to speak to someone. We viewed the three SUVs on the showroom floor without a single person even so much as acknowledging us.We eventually approached the receptionist whom we needed to initiate conversation with. Despite four salespeople sitting around at desks within our sight line, the receptionist had to page them to get someone to come out.A sales manager came out, asked if we had an appointment, and then began explaining how they have an A team and a B team on weekends to allow people to have time off and therefore they didnt have a product specialist available to assist us. He then started to explain the appointment schedule, told us about three appointments between when we were there (a bit after 1:00 p.m.) and 3 p.m., and then asked if we wanted to put our names down. When we explained we were unlikely to be in there area for the next two hours, we were asked, Are you planning to buy a car today?First off, kudos to you for giving your employees time off, I do genuinely think thats great, but the rest is not my problem. If we were planning to buy a car the same day then someone could find it within themselves to help us? We needed to even be asked that question? Why else would we have gone to the dealership? To spend an afternoon looking at vehicles we were ultimately disinterested in purchasing? A sales manager dropping a litany of excuses about why no one was available to help before effectively asking if we planned to give you money is beyond unprofessional.No thanks. Well go to another dealership. The service at the CarMax down the street was infinitely better. Imagine that.

She didn’t even have the decency to come out and tell him herself when we arrived. Two stars because they filled our tank. The general manager was nice.

I just wanted to write in to say I went to your showroom today with my son and husband and the service was absolutely horrible. We were not greeted in the showroom by either of the two receptionists and when someone finally came over to us, she immediately made a judgement that we could not afford a top of the line model when we said we wanted to trade in our Honda Accord. When I commented that I wanted a black XC90 with cognac/camel leather interior, she said I would have to get the top of the line for that so only black, charcoal, or blonde would be available. I quickly let her know that the camel was well within our price range and walked out. This dealership has lost our business and we will go to Natick instead.

The sales person - Jason was the worst sales person I’ve ever had in my experience buying cars. No follow through and poor communication skills. He was also not very familiar with the car features. It was pitiful.I’ve bought many cars at other Herb Chambers locations and had excellent experiences.Even the sales manager was terrible. After waiting at home for 2 days for the car to be delivered, I finally received it on the 3rd day. The sales manager offered me a Volvo hat for giving up 2 days of my time. What an insulting action.I would never go back.

I went to the dealership to see a pre-owned BMW I was interested in. I found the service provided by Alexander to be average at best. He was nice enough but didnt go out of his way to make the sale. There were several factors that contributed to this. I really liked the vehicle and followed through on the purchase. When I arrived to pick up the car at the agreed upon time it wasnt ready and it appeared that Al had completely forgotten about it. He did apologize but we had to wait an additional 30 minutes while the car was detailed.Not the best experience and I would have to give it much thought about purchasing a vehicle at this dealership in the future.

Everyone made us feel secure and were helpful at all times. Nobody tried to squeeze us which meant a lot especially since my grandma was purchasing the vehicle. Refreshments were readily available and even though we were at the dealership for about five hours, it felt like twenty minutes. Spanky was memorable, not just because of his name but because of how he treated us. He was helpful, enthusiastic, and wanted to make sure we got the deal we could afford. Simeon also assisted us directly in finding the vehicle and brought three different cars for us to view and never got frustrated when we asked to see another. Desi came down once the vehicle was purchased and helped us with all the paperwork and walked my grandma through everything. Simeon also was present during all of this. Finally, we were referred to Fernanda who finalized the paperwork for us and sent us on our way. She stayed after hours to make sure we got everything done the same day so we could drive away in our new car in a few days instead of a week or two. Can’t say anything bad about anyone on the team and the individuals I mentioned were extremely helpful. 10/10 recommend this business and you should ask for any of those people if you want a great car buying experience.

Service is reasonable and they are helpful, but they never have loaner cars available and it can take up to a week or two to schedule an appointment if you need a loaner car.Part of the reason my car died at the side of the road and had to be towed to them was because I couldn’t get an appointment sooner than a week to have it seen because there were no loaners available before then.

I just purchased a 2019 used vehicle from Volvo Norwood. Upon getting it home I realized that the drivers headlight was cracked and will not pass state inspection.The Registry of Motor Vehicles requires that the lenses on the lighting devices and reflectors required for a motor vehicle must be intact, clean, unobstructed, and free from cracks. 540 Code. Mass. Regs. § 4.03(10)(d) (2008). “ This is a nearly $50,000 car with only 20k miles on it, not some piece of junk. I expect to be able to pass safety inspection in my state with such a purchase.After my purchase, I received several emails asking me to reach out to GM Errol Gaudette if I had any issues. So I reached out to my salesperson and to Errol Gaudette, the GM. Errol proceeded to basically ignore my emails and push all ownership of the situation onto the salesperson.After some back and forth, my salesperson told me they would not assist with repairing the issue and my only option is to cancel the sale.Not so easy when I’m an hour away, have already traded in my previous vehicle, cancelled the loan, insurance, and registration. A lot of work to just remedy a $900 repair on a $32,000 used vehicle. Errol has still not contacted me directly.I feel this is an absurd way to handle this issue, and the GM Errol has shown no ownership or communication. This transaction has demonstrated to me an outstanding lack of leadership and integrity for the Herb Chambers brand by Errol Gaudette.

The only reason I give 1 star is because 0 isn’t an option. Purchased a $21k car from here - I was told to go get my car inspected then send the receipt for reimbursement; sent the receipt, received an email back but NO reimbursement (it’s been a month).I noticed 3 days after picking up the car that the brakes were grinding, I brought it to the sales associates’ attention and asked when I could bring the car to be serviced; I was told “the mechanics said they’re fine.” “It wouldn’t pass inspection if the brakes weren’t good.” I took the car to my personal mechanic and the car required new rear brakes AND rotors. I also noticed a few days after picking up the car SHAREABLE SIZE EMPTY GUM PACKS UNDERNEATH THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT!! How was the car detailed and something so noticeable went unnoticed?! Just horrible customer service, I wouldn’t recommend anybody to this dealership. They literally didn’t care about my safety when it was brought to their attention that the brakes were not serviced before I picked the vehicle up! They sold the vehicle then showed no care after.

The car seems good, and the salesman Jason was friendly and respectful. Jason ran out to get our chipotle order as we waited for the XC90 to be detailed.The reason this is not a 4 or 5 is that when we sat down to fill out the financing paperwork, the business manager Fernanda was RELENTLESS about pushing additional warranties we did not want. My wife and I must have said NO 30 times. We ran out of patience to say it nicely and she still pushed it. She even told me I am going to be sad if you dont get this. So apparently, in addition to being expected to buy something I had no interest in, I was also responsible for the emotions of the staff and to make sure the dealership was happy.Eventually she told us she found a way it would only cost $3 more a month. So we agreed, mostly to finish the transaction and get her off our backs as it couldnt have been clearer we didnt want the product (also it was apparently 2 products not just one). Well, it was not $3 more a month, it added $6,500 to the financing and she had withheld the fact that we could have a whole 1% lower APR, and a year shorter term (with a monthly payment $60 less) if we didnt add the UNWANTED warranties. In fact, I had been crystal clear that I wanted to see the APR options before we signed and they kept withholding them.Well, she didnt even stop when I called out the bait and switch. I almost called off the whole thing and had to raise my voice eventually just to get her to TAKE OFF $6,500 from our financing for 2 products I DID NOT WANT. It was by far the worst transaction I have ever had with a sales person.I realize that the reason they refused to talk about what the APR would be and rather tried to get us to agree to a monthly price was so they could try and sneak in an extra $6,500 we didnt want. It never made sense to me how they kept talking about a monthly payment when we hadnt even gotten to APR (they kept saying $590 a month, but the TRUE COST would be $530 a month if they werent trying to smash a warranty into our deal). They hid the options from us and had I not essentially yelled and threatened to pull the plug, we would have been on the hook for an extra year of payments and an extra 1% + of APR. Unethical at best and possibly illegal as she NEVER explained the TRUE COST of the products she was pushing on us that we NEVER WANTED in the first place.THEN, we got home and noticed the contract still had the incorrect trade in on it. Wrong VIN, wrong car. I had pointed this out to her, but she was so focused on fleecing us apparently she didnt care that the documentation was wrong as long as they got their $6,500 for warranties. SO that means we will be delayed in getting the insurance changed, and likely have to drive back to the dealership though I refuse to talk to her again so we shall see how they fix it.Still fuming about the Three Card Monty they pulled. Its such a damn car dealership cliché, but is also the reality. I learned my lesson. Its likely the last transaction I will ever do with a dinosaur dealership like this. Ill be sticking to options where you can clearly see the APR options, terms, and payments ahead of time. Carvana or True car type of thing. Or get financing from the bank ahead of time. I shouldnt have to worry about getting pickpocketed when already making a $45,000 transaction. I cant trust them.If it wasnt for Jason making a Chipolte run, and the fact that I think we got a good deal (though I had to fight tooth and nail to just get information on the terms and had I not yelled we would have likely pulled the plug at the final minute) this would be a 1 star. I dont believe Jason was in on the grift, but who knows.If you do need to go to them because they have a good car in stock that you want, get financing elsewhere. The extra warranty may even be a good product, I really dont know and dont care, just dont lie to me, dont withhold information, and dont sneak in thousands of dollars to my financing that I clearly dont want.
