Ive had a couple of things done on my Wrangler here, including fine-tuning the suspension and geometry, as well as re-installing a diff cover. Both times the work was impeccable and my Jeep rides so much better. Great to work with Brian A. both times.

Came here to support ocal business. Now Im headed to another establishment to fix an elementary issue. What a mistake to trust Able, tire and Brake for professional work when they committed to start the work on my car.The help was poor and misleading. First, as a consumer you are not informed of rebates and current promotions on tires to save money so Im actually glad I walked out because Im saving hundreds at another store. The $1100 bill for michelins without telling me the company offers $100 plus $50 gift card and charge more than any other establishment. toscslitos helped me with additional service that Able just did nit offer to figure out if tbry wheel was damaged anyway I asked them if they could help solve my auto pulling to the right. They decided to rotate the two front tires but instead of crossing them to see which tire was bad and after I asked several times they I insisted to swapied them to the rear. Dumb. Then the car still pulled to the right. Later I found out the do not torch the suspension but that the wheels were indeed torqued to the right. This information helpful when o finally got the alignment print out describing what happened initially but these people have blinders on. Of course Then I paid for they suggested $150 wheel alignment but I asked them for the paperwork and the machine print was broken and they never called me when it was fixed. A mechanic solved an alignment issue but no paperwork . That mechanic that did alignment said car was pulling so he crossed those tires the front that were in the rear Now its all over the road pulling to the left. Now Brian steps in and I return ( more hours) balances the tires and tells me that would help with alignment (how?) but he ignored my request to put back my original front tires back to original order so now Im frustrated after hours waiting until this point. He didnt tell this prior to doing this but the car vibrated after the wheel alignment after the mechanic said it was pulling. Now Jaime said okay lets ride so the car was pulling he said they should LISTEN to the customer and in order to find put of I had a bad tire we but the originals back on order front tires to check the pulling. Jaime later changed his mind says live with it buy tires. then they charged me 600 dollars and credit here and there was a messup with charges all over my credit card and no return call from snyone in charge. Then they were rude w about it when I came in to fix.

Nice family owned establishment

I had to come in due an issue with one of my tires and they tried to get me in and out as fast as possible.

They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help(even if you just walk in without an appointment). I have been going to them for years and never had a complaint. I totally recommend them 100%.

These guys were great! The day before Christmas Eve,, while rushing some last-minute holiday errands, my tires popped. At this busy holiday time, it took two hours to get a tow, during which time I could not get any tire company in San Rafael or Novato to help; They were all closing up for the holidays and only options offered included leaving my car for minimum of four days without a loaner for the Christmas festivities. Even the BMW dealership had no loaners, and nothing to offer in the way of getting me mobile. Low and behold, when I called Abel Tire, George answered And was extremely kind and helpful. Abel Ture had a new set of wheels on my car within an hour of arriving at their shop! They even topped off my brake fluid because there was a light on on my dash! Brian was the service gentleman who helped me with this, with a smile and at no extra charge! I highly recommend this facility for any automotive bind you may find yourself in. They were so kind and courteous and the only shop that did not have To special order the Michelin tires I had them put on. Thank you George and Brian!

Awesome interaction! Got vehicle taken care of super fast! However, even after installing new tires, the tire pressure light came back on 30 minutes after driving away.

Great place, nothing sketchy, just the facts, no pressure, no lies. A mature staff with experience with a retro feeling shop that takes one back to a simpler better time. All appointments and work have been completed in a timely workman like manner.

Nice place, friendly staff. Docked off a star because I got my window fixed and it broke again 1 week later....they were very accommodating but still a bit frustrating. Also not sure how their prices compare but they seemed a bit high.

I went in to have a new tire placed on my car and was told because I wasn’t going to purchase 2 new tires he wouldn’t be able to put one on for me but could give it to me to put on myself! So let me get this straight because I couldn’t afford 2 tires your going to make me put the tire on myself? Yeah that’s great customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Ive been coming here for about a decade. Friendly knowledgeable staff and they are one of 2 places in NorCal that carry Nokian tires, a Finnish brand that is excellent in snow but can be used year round. Look up all weather vs all season and youll never buy all season again. Youll probably at least consider Nokian too. Anyway, I took off two stars for my last visit. They replaced a tire I blew due to a road hazard. They didnt try to sell me 4 new tires which I appreciated. However, they put my spare tire back on incorrectly, even after I offered to show them the process (which is really specific to my Highlander because its mounted under the SUV). They reinstalled it with the nice part of the rim facing down toward the road. Had I not caught this, the rim would have gotten. Really scratched up. They also scratched it because the mounting hardware was installed in such a way that it rubbed against the nice alloy. This should have been very apparent. In addition, I asked them why installed the new tire on the back. They told me its their policy to do that. They had a decent explanation regarding traction and awd. However, I was most concerned with the fact that the tire was a lot newer and I wanted it to be placed opposite the other higher tread tire in front. They told me if I wanted to pay more to have it re balanced and installed that way theyd do it. Now, that may not sound like a big deal, but free rotation was included for the last 2 sets of tires Ive purchased. Ive never used this because I have my SUV serviced at Toyota and its included there. Despite this theyd charge me to put out my new $250 tire in a position to maximize wear? Just a bit disappointed to be honest. The next time I get my Nokians, I will look at what the shop in Auburn has to offer and consider. My loyalty can be earned, but this really wasnt the way to do it.

I called about 10 different tire shops throughout Petaluma and Novato pricing out a complete set of 255/55/19R tires. I ended going with Able in Novato since they had the lowest price on the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza tires in my size and threw in an alignment for $99. Able was cheaper than even Costco. I highly recommend Able Tire & Brake to anyone in the North Bay Area who is looking for tires. They offer free tire rotations every 5k miles. Doug, the general manager is a genuinely great guy who has been nothing but helpful every time I ask questions.

Drop a tire to be fixed and received a phone call saying that my tire were ready to be picked up and was going to cost $35. When I got to shop to pick up my tire I was told that I needed a new tire and was going to cost $105.And the only explanation I got was Bob the owner who called you.
