I recently stopped in at rockler and was helped by LJ, Gary, Jeff and Chris the manager. Pretty much everyone chip in if it was not there Expertes they asked your coworker for a better opinion the police could not have been any nicer they were doing classes while I shopped and it was very cool to watch the guys are very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely return to this location for my woodworking needs. Nice job guys!

My wife gave me an amazing anniversary gift this year, a woodworking class at the Novi Rockler Woodworking location. I had the class today, to make a pizza cutter and it was a great experience!

Nice modern store in a large retail center. Very knowledgeable staff who are willing to help anyone. The only drawback that I can think of is, there were a number of empty bins and missing items.The three items that I drove to Novi for were all in stock as well as the additional 20 items that ended up in my basket. One bonus I came away with was the excellent shorts bin. This allows someone to buy a wide variety of woods, for small projects, and keep costs under control!

First time in the store. I was pleased with the supply of hard wood and live wood. They had just what I wanted. I will be back for more. Very good staff Very helpful.

They are the best! L.J. got me all the information and product specs to get the right tool for my needs and budget. Ive gotten most of my woodworking tools there and am very happy with the quality of the tools and appreciate the knowledge and kindness of the guys.

Went there to ask about a planer. The guy explained the difference. My husband decides to go with the dewalt. I asked about the planer stand that goes with it. Salesman said they didnt have any in stock. Understandable, a lot of suppliers are having shipping issues.I asked what other stand would work. He said there isnt one.Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked, there isnt any other stand that would work?No.So my husband says okay I will just get the planer today.Oh, thats not in stock.... Why didnt he say that to start with.Wonderful array of products though.

As I am a newbie in woodworking, I came to know about Rockler store through Internet. The store has everything for what is required to build a wood craft. Being a layman, I didn’t know many different type of hinges or brackets, so I put the query and my requirement details to the Rockler employee Mr Dayton and he patiently heard and helped me in finding as per my requirements. I would surely recommend this store.

I love this store. All the employees are great, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I started this hobby 1.5 years ago and have learned a lot from the employees. I never regret spending money here. My wife might! 😜

Chunks of many different kinds of wood for your projects (including live edge), all the tools youll need from beginner to professional, and classes to help you learn how to use them. The staff is super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. If youre looking for anything to do with woodworking, do yourself a favor and stop here.

Great store. Great staff. Not only do I come here for the tools and hardware I need to build projects but also for the knowledgeable staff willing to aid with tips and tricks. I havent yet taken a class here but I will in the future for sure. Their selection of wood is pretty reasonable too. I love the website but being able to go into a brick and mortar store is awesome.

Always a great place to shop. Good tools, good prices, great assistance if you need it. They also have a lot of innovative tools you cant find anywhere else. If you dont have a Rockler near you, catch them online, they usually offer free shipping.

Prices are high but not obscenely so. Its a relatively small price to pay to have a genuine woodworking shop in an area that would otherwise be without one.

If you want good quality products and materials for true wood working this is the last place youll need. Dont expect home depot prices because its not home depot quality, its MUCH better so expect to pay for it. I bought some good oil based sealer for my kitchen table and was very impressed with the results. General Finishes ARM-R-SEAL. This was not carried at any of the other big retailers and actually was cheaper here than on Amazon. Employees were friendly and offered advice on your projects. If I need some quality tools, supplies or advice, Ill be back.

They need more stores! This place is a candy shop to woodworkers. I will go broke if I dont limit my time in there.

Superb customer service! I walked in and almost immediately was greeted and asked if I needed help. He explained everything above and beyond what was expected. I am truly impressed with the staff and the store itself.I am starting a new hobby and I am sure that this will be my go to shop!

They didnt have the wood I was looking for but the staff recommended a local lumber mill that might. Its fun to browse the unique tools Rockler offers and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Traveling for work and came to check this place out as I do not have a Rockler where I live. Super nice guys running the store. The sales associate who helped me was awesome, even let me try out one of their Japanese pull saws in their shop area. Picked up a few nice measuring tools on sale. Very cool people and a nice store.

Nice store for wood projects

A great specialty shop for woodworks.

I came here needing supplies for a home renovation project Ive been dreading for months and as soon as I walked in the store I new I was in good hands. Jeff B. Greeted me with warmth and enthusiasm and asked what it was he could help me with. I laid out the details and he referred me to Tom R who would help me with the process. Tom assured me that not only did they have the parts for the install, but that he would personally help me with everything I needed in the store. We spent a solid hour together going over everything and by the end of my visit I felt 100% confident I would be able to finish my renovation with ease. Thank you to Jeff B., Tom R., and Rockler Woodworking for making this my best project yet!

Wow just wow... If you make anything out of wood forget your home depot and lowes this is unlike any other store I have have ever been in. Its a woodworkers dream store.

Nice selection is the only reason I gave them 3 stars. I have come here many times and it’s always the same story...employees standing around doing nothing. This might be ok for a hobbiest woodworker, but I haven’t the time for places like this. Order online or visit your local “mom and pop” store if you’re looking for quality service. Drove 35 minutes to get here and walked out of an empty store without even being greeted after 20 minutes. The store manager, Chris, is the only person I’ve felt delivered any quality, but he obviously doesn’t work all shifts. Sub-par. Step up your game, Rockler.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was a little slow during but not unacceptable slow. The prices are higher then a box store but your are getting higher quality items.

The managers, Scott and Joel, are the best. They truly treat you like friends and family. The employees are just as friendly even at the busiest of times. It’s a shame that they have to deal with the public. I visit the store usually twice a month with my husband and sometimes there is a grumpy know-it-all customer giving one of the employees an unjust hard time. The staff always handles it well and just brushes it off while they try to help out the unappreciative. But myself and my husband appreciate you Rockler! Keep up the great work!

Great full service wood working store. The manager, I think that his name is Scott, was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking for a hard to find router bit and they had it! The store was a little short staffed but still very helpful and I was able to get in and out!

I really like the store and once again drove 25 miles to get there; however, today for the second time in three weeks I stood at the counter with what I wanted to buy in my hand, waited for at least four or five minutes, and no one came to sell it to me. The first time I waited and someone finally came; today I put the item on the counter and left. Good store and knowledgeable staff; however, I will do most of my purchasing of Rockler items on line from now on.

Very helpful staff no matter of your skill level, if you go in there with an idea, they will help you. The review stating that he went in there asking for ideas?? Really? I wouldnt tell you what your comfortable with either. You have to at least have an idea of what you want. This is a great store, with great people running it. Always ask for a discount, most of the time they will give a 5 or 10% break on the whole sale.

I am at furniture builder and have owned my own furniture company for seven years now. This last Friday I decided to take the one hour trek down to rockler Because I prefer the brick and mortar idea of retail. I called to make sure they have the belt sander and accessories for my other tools that I needed. When I arrived I could not find any of the things there, so I asked for assistance. The older gentleman who I asked a question of snidely Told me that if I didn’t see it it’s not there and not to waste his time. I let that go because everybody has a bad day next I asked about my accessory pieces that I needed that I have bought from rockler in the past. The gentleman Told me they would have none of my accessories before I even told him the type of tools because they only sell professional tools to professional people. I am very insulted and ended up going To another woodworking store, or they were very accommodating helped me with everything I needed and if they did not have it ordered it for me and did not judge me. Rockler used to be a wonderful mecca for the woodworker but sadly the choice of their staff and arrogance of their staff Has made it a truly an enjoyable experience and I will be spending my money other places. So before anybody decides to take the time to drive to the rocker Novi store in Michigan. Do you research on other stores and go to them. There’s Arrogant judgemental staff is the reason brick and mortar is failing and online is taking over. Truly Sad that this wonderful place has turned in to what it has become

Extremely disappointed in my experience at the Novi location. I walked in this morning to be greeted with Are you shopping for a man today? Who asks that question to a customer??? I know that woodworking is a male dominated industry but give me a break!!! I was also asked 20 questions in regards to the product I picked up and almost felt as though I needed to prove my knowledge before I could purchase it! This was my 1st & last time to shop in your store. I will continue to shop your competitor even though it is an extra 30 minutes away for the simple fact that they treat me like a valued customer from the moment I walk in instead of a woman that took a wrong turn.

I have to disagree with the other review on here that the staff will assist a novice. I just went in as a novice and was basically told I cant help you. I asked for an idea for a project to get started and he basically said, I dunno. I was ready to buy the tools necessary for a project if just given some direction, but the man working could not be bothered. He basically sent me to the books and said see if they can help you. This is also the person that bad-mouthed someone on the phone as his first interaction with me.

Worst customer service. I work as a buyer for a multi million dollar company and every time we have used Rockler for custom hardware, I have dealt with rude representatives or like my current situation, being completely ignored all together. Do NOT use them.

Best and friendliest store Ive ever been to. Staff always has a smile on. No matter what your skill level is they will awnser your questions the best they can. Even when they move to Novi I will still go to rockler.
