It was a Saturday afternoon when you expect help to be limited. Yet Amanda, the girl with the sunflower tattoo, gave us the ultimate customer service. Not only did she help satisfy an online order that arrived incorrect, she took the time to help us order the best items for our needs, even helping us improve on our selection. This store has done well in keeping knowledgeable employees in the forefront. It gives their store a strong backbone in comparison to other Home Depot stores I’ve visited.
Good as usual. Grabbed a doz bags of salt, got the bulk discount price, love that, and then got out of there. Friendly and helpful staff as always. Another positive trip to HD!
Frustrating experience today trying to pickup an online order. The customer service team was great, but the manager Dayna was rude from the moment we started talking. I didn’t feel like she was on my side, or trying to help me at all. She just wanted me gone ASAP. my issue was only partially resolved, and I left with a bad taste in my mouth.
This store is stocked very well!Unlike the Livonia store that is out of everything or has limited amounts of common items like lumber, etc...Im just saying...
Staff are very nice and generally knowledgeable. The online pick up service is horrible. Youre better off ordering it and going into the store and finding what you need than wait 2 days for them to find 1 item and cancel your other item because they couldnt find it.
Staff is so slow! Do not go there unless you have a lot of time to waste. I had a handful of garden items and it took FOREVER to be rung up… 🤯. Staff is utterly incompetent in regards to prices of merchandise. Calling a manager (just the phone conversation) took 10 minutes and apparently ringing up merchandise and calling are too difficult to do at the same time. After 20 minutes of being rung up (not waiting in line- actively being rung up) I left with no merchandise. I expressed my frustration several times to no avail. If you’re a sloth, you’ll be fine going there. Otherwise head over to ACE. It’s so much faster!!
Associate David was very helpful! I came in looking for specific replacement fluorescent bulbs of varying sizes for business space, and staring at the bulbs looking lost, I’m sure, David approached me and ask if I needed help. I showed him bulbs and an acrylic prism panel I needed to match, and he moved quickly across two aisles and up a ladder to find everything in all of about 2 minutes! An in-and-out trip on a work day was much appreciated!
Not only does this Home Depot seem to have a lot of product, everyone we’ve encountered here while shopping has been SO helpful and friendly! Makes the shopping experience that much more enjoyable.
Installation SCAM!!! Bought fridge and dishwasher and paid for installation. Theyve proved to really just be a drop-off service however.Upon arrival, they refused to hook up units saying valves didnt exist that are in plain sight and do. Job was left as shown in photos.Tried scheduling followup work order for dishwasher installation which we paid for. When those people arrived they acknowledged first crew appeared to simply not want to do the job. Then said they couldnt do the job again for a new reason even though we comply with every check box on the HD pre-installation check list.Now were jumping through hoops to get it scheduled a THIRD time and hoping they dont set some new absurd hurdle to avoid doing work that is *paid* for. Avoid their installation SCAM!!!
Still some “out-of-stocks” due to the pandemic shut down. However, the Associates all seem to be fairly well trained. Store was neat and fairly clean foe a Saturday afternoon.

I had a curbside order. It was ordered on Friday mid-day and by Friday evening it said it was ready to pick up. I stopped by Saturday around 1pm. They called me after about 15 minutes asking me what kind of door I had ordered. About 10 minutes after that, a very nice gentleman, James came up and told me that they couldnt find my order. (One single storm door). Said it could take a few hours to find but he would call me when they found it. While it was VERY frustrating not to have my order ready when they said it would be and the fact that I had no other time available with a truck to pick up the order that day, James did call about 2 hours later stating he found my order. He asked when I would be coming next and made it his personal task to bring out my order on Monday when I drove up. He was very apologetic, and honestly his attitude and customer service throughout the whole ordeal is the reason I didnt end up upset at the experience. James- thank you for taking the time to be considerate, understanding, apologetic and go above and beyond.

My favorite place to shop for home improvement projects and little knick knacks. I love that I can search the website while in store and it tells me where to find the item down to the isle and bay numbers. Very useful feature!
I had to go to to two Homedepots to get what we needed. The person was very helpful and checked the inventory at another Homedepot for us and we were able to get what we needed.
Purchased a portable air conditioner for my bedroom.It works splendidly. It was 90 degrees that day.
Nice place, huge variety. But couldnt get anyone to help me! Literally took me 35 minutes to find someone from another area, and convince them to come help me. And this was after a cashier was asked twice to call someone for help!
My go to store to buy DIY related things. Friendly reps, easy to find stuff if you have app, self checkout and easiest returns of all other stores, whats not to like

Most disappointing experience. Delivery was promised and delayed 3 times. I wait now for three weeks on material, had to switch my order to different color even though it was promised every time it was on stock. And still don’t have it. Do not online order from this store!

Clean, friendly, and COVID protected. There were checkout barriers, and even plexiglass around the paint desk, to help keep social distancing. I saw multiple team members cleaning like it was second nature while I was there. And even with social distancing, we were asked a few times if we needed any help finding anything. Very nice.
Amazing customer service from this store. Everyone is always so helpful, polite and friendly. Cheryl in the paint department is wonderful to work with.

We come here way too often but the employees are friendly and willing to help when asked. The store is always clean and almost always well stocked. Its also easy to rent trucks here and pick up online orders.

We are in Home Depot weekly. My husband is the owner of Guindon Electric in Oxford, Michigan and some things are just better priced at Home Depot than other places. We always look our for our customers as we do not mark up our material. The Home Depot staff is very helpful and friendly! Kathleen is the best by far for an employee at the Lake Orion store! She knows where just about everything is in the store not just her department. We highly recommend Home Depot to our customers also. Oh and yes I have a service dog that loves her too.

I understand its partially Covid issues, but to use over 20 hand carts to store online orders on, blocking back isles, especially during the spring planting rush, is not the best idea when I hear and see people searching for hand carts.

Do you not ever, ever order appliances from Home Depot. Find your local appliance dealer. Had to wait two weeks to get the scheduled delivery and when they came they were missing a part. They left the appliances in the garage and said they could come back soon. Turns out two more weeks before they can come back. In the interim no washer and dryer. Literally was on hold with them for four hours to try to rectify. I believe the local companies will match the price and the service will hundred times better. They could care less.--

Good selection but the staff here are trash and do everything they can not to help you. I had two customers offer me help instead. Only one woman employee who was blonde and had long hair asked if I needed help and I was already half way out the door. I also had to wait around for someone to help me find something and never did find them. Trash. zero stars.

A big thanks to Tag, Andrew and Ben for helping load my wood chips into the back of my truck. The process was flawless - From loading the cart to loading the truck. We had great conversation and some laughs as I drove to the Novi location knowing the service I received last year. Again great job to Tag, Andrew and Ben - you guys made my Fourth of July weekend, now come over and help me lay them :) (hahaha)!
Bought an item they asked me for delivery directions and where I wanted the item placed was supposed to been called an hour before delivery never was called driver never even came to the door left the item in the middle of the driveway call the store was told the manager was in a meeting never got a phone call back
The staff was very nice however the way they keep their products is not great. Purchased a freezer and had to return it as the product was dented. That was the last one there. Had to go to another location and it too was damaged. Luckily they had a second one that was not. Perhaps it is the product companys issue as the packaging is very thin.
We had to call in an order and a customer service representative named Brianna really helped us out and pulled what we needed and put it on hold for us. She was very kind and helpful. As we were loading it in the vehicle Spencer came out and offered to help us. Again with the kindness and the help. That goes a long way
Customer service is trash particularly in the pro services. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Rented a truck for an hour easy as could be. Im disabled due to throat cancer and can not wear a mask. They seen that and understood. Had absolutely no problems unlike Menards who refused to let me enter store because I can not wear a mask. Ill just shop home depot from now on!!
Waited on hold 10 minutes to ask a kid if they had the plywood I needed he said yes we have plenty.. 20 minute drive there to find out they only had 2 sheets... Menards is going to get my money from here on out
Attempted curbside pickup to avoid as much interaction as possible. Placed order Thursday morning. Got a call from a very nice guy who told me that the screws I ordered they didnt have enough in stock and would unlike them deleted or replaced. This was great. Because I had previously ordered for pick up from a different store and when they didnt have the full quantity they just cancelled my order.They guy said he would have my order ready shortly and I would get my notice to come. 30 hrs later, no notice. I happened to be in the area for something else so I stopped and called the number and ext at the curbside parking. Only to find out the order has been ready since yesterday but curbside closed at 6 and I could either come back or come in. I went in and everyone was nice enough but it took 10 minutes to ring up what was already paid for...and 3 people to find my order that I had just confirmed by phone was there. Of course once it was all receipted at the one register I had to go to the other end of the store to pick it up. Oh and my order still says they are getting it ready...and it is in my car.

Had the plywood I needed and a truck to bring it home with. The guys that helped me were nice polite and helped me get things I need. The gentleman at checkout was very nice and polite too.
Great stock, a few knowledgeable people work there. But all will point you in the right direction.

Had some challenges on the refund and mode of refund. Dutch took care of my request and provided constant updates. Will shop again with HD Novi store.
One of the best Home depots around employees are very friendly stores very nice can find just about everything its a ways from my house but well worth the trip its in our standards its one of the better or best Home depots around

Placed an order for a scheduled home delivery and it never showed up. Called to find out why and was told they attempted delivery - which is not true, I was home all day and never received any phone calls. The items were needed by this week and I was told that they could reschedule the delivery but the soonest they could deliver it now is in two weeks. Customer derive thru the 800 number was great but when transferred to the store the customer service went downhill quick. Decided to get my products from Lowe’s instead

I called to ask if the order my dad placed online was available for vehicle curbside pickup. They said yes. We placed the order and went to pick up the items when they were ready. I called to let them know I was outside. They told me that they dont do curbside pickup. Will not be shopping at home depot again. Wasted my time.

Don’t go here if you want to buy a stove or any other appliances. The men back there are rude and barely an knowledge us. We stood back there for 30 minutes waiting for help to buy a stove. Neither of them wanted to help us. I guess we will take our $1500 else where.

Went in to pickup some door hinges from Lowes tonight (didnt have what I needed) and had a bucket of Sherwin Williams that I was hoping to have re-shaken. I approached the paint counter where three staff were standing idle (no other customers in need) and asked if as a favor they would re-shake it. After some scrutiny by the staff, I had apparently not purchased that particular type of Sherwin Williams paint from them and was informed Id have to try their store.So I left disappointed for the Novi Home Depot in search of the door hinges (which they had!) and on a whim, I asked a busy paint desk employee if theyd be open to shaking the paint for me (a brand they definitely dont sell). Not only were they friendly and happy to stop what they were doing to do so, they gave me free wood stir sticks to go with it!Kudos to the staff and management for providing exceptional customer service tonight. I know where Ill be shopping first next time...

The floor was COVERED in flooring. it was terrible. i walked in only to be assaulted with a mcchicken. the workers were hideous and we were not able to find the couch that we specifically found on the big lots website. when the worker told me this is not big lots it hurt my feelings. when i went to get a hot dog to make me feel better they said they can only serve to people who are 400 lbs and under. i then left the walmart with no clothes and was told i could never come back.

I rented a wallpaper steamer this morning and just returned it at 230pm the rep (big bald guy ) said how did it go. Well I said the steamer says it takes 5 minutes to warm up and it took a half hour the 2 times I filled it with water so I ended up waiting more than I used it. He shook his head and said yes. The. He rang me up I had rented it for 4 hours and it was 4:55 instead of charging me for the original 4 hours he charged me the extra 55 mins even though he seemed to know it was an issue. I asked you don’t care that it didn’t work the way it was supposed to and he said I already range it’s up nothing I can do.No there is a customer experience for you

A bit cramped location. I recall not liking the layout in the store either. But its HD... everytime you enter a new one, its like a new expedition.
I ordered appliances in July 2018 for a new construction home. The delivery address was mixed up with our billing address. To correct the problem, we were told by both the delivery company and the store, #2737 Novi, that the order would need to be cancelled and reordered with the correct address. In the process the Manager, Mark, approved that we would be honored the price we purchased on July 11, 2018. Today, MARK denied to honor the pricing. He used the excuse that he only approved it for Black Friday....NON OF WHICH HE DISCLOSED AT THE TIME OF CONVERSATION. Although Mark noted in my account that pricing would be honored at the time of correcting the order AND the sales associate could see it it in the computer, Mark would not honor it. Mr Mark, your effort to make an extra $1200 has just cost your store thousands. We own 13 rentals, all of which we service and repair from Home Depot. We own a construction company, of which we spend thousands of dollars per year. We have an upcoming carpet order to close 2018...that you will not receive. Congratulations! You made a very unwise decision to not honor your word.
The guys in the tool rental department are great cannot be beaten
This location is a medium sized store with many pros to help. The repair center is a joke and dont recommend ever getting anything fixed there. The pro desk and many other departments are knowledgeable but the help goes down hill after 3PM.

Typical Home Depot store with the same products. I have found this store has really friendly and helpful staff. The people at the paint counter are wonderful. They are really knowledgeable and thorough when helping you pick colors. The store is clean and its in a good location.
