I am addicted! I continue to visit bubble tea cafes throughout Northern Jersey but Urban Leaf still is my favorite. The tapioca is always cooked to perfection. Not supper gummy nor hard. It’s a great family owned cafe. Michelle and Victor are such wonderful people! This is my go to spot! Totally recommend! Peach, passion fruit, taro, strawberry lemonade, and sparkling lemonade are my go-tos.

Will definitely be going back! I got two boba teas which were passion fruit tea with lychee jelly and mango tea with mango popping boba. Both were good but I personally liked the passion fruit one much better, especially with the jelly. I also got the spam musubi. I don’t like spam so my expectations were low but it was actually sooo good. And to top it all off, everything was actually reasonably priced. Bubble tea is usually more on the expensive side (especially since it’s so trendy these days) but I got the 24oz cups for less than $5.10/10 would recommend

Good quality bubble tea is largely measured by boba quality in my opinion, and I found the boba here to be bland and lacking in texture. Wouldnt recommend.

I dont understand why when I pay with my card they ask if you want to leave a 15% tip. I am not being served at a table, I am just picking up a tea. A tip jar is fine, but it feels kind of mandatory when they turn their computer screen towards you every single time and give you an option to give a 15,20,or 25 percent tip. Its rude to assume that every customer wants to tip 15, 20, or 25 percent. No other establishment does this. I could see if I was sitting at a table and being served then of course I would leave a 20 percent tip. You guys are taking advantage of your customers. A tip jar is more appropriate. If you keep doing this you will lose your loyal customer base.

The place is cute and quaint. I drove 1 hr away specifically for their ube pillows and they had run out. The pandesal and ube ice cream was a cute idea and it was good. Their menu is small but I guess much better if you are in that area to enjoy it. They have items for sale in the store like face masks, shirts etc. The customer service was quick, attentive and to the point. Overall Id like to give it another chance in the future hopefully I can critique them fully when the pillows are back.

This place is great! Its a rare treat for me to go out and find a place like this. It has a very modern and clean look to it. The staff is friendly and the Nori Bowl is awesome! The flavor and unique blend of the sauce with spam and rice is just perfect. I should have ordered 3 bowls it was that good! The bubble tea was also good, my go to is honeydew. If Im in the area again, I would definitely stop by and get bubble tea and try a new meal.

Im so happy to finally have a good bubble tea place in the area. Im especially happy that this cafe also serves yummy bubble waffle desserts (with Ube or mango ice cream), spam musubi, and French pressed tea leaves! Theyve only been open a week, but everything Ive tried to date has been absolutely delicious. The owners are exceptionally nice and friendly, and personally check with you to make sure youre enjoying your meal. The interior decoration is very Brooklyn-esque, and great for reading a book while sipping on your tea, or chatting with friends while eating your bubble waffles and ice cream. While you might have to wait a few extra minutes for your order when its busy as with most other establishments, its absolutely worth the wait. This cafe has very quickly turned into my go-to place for a nice snack (Spam Musubi or Spam Nori Bowl), tea (French pressed hot peach mango tea), bubble tea (taro!), or dessert (Oreo bubble waffle with Ube ice cream + Nutella drizzle + powdered sugar).I highly recommend trying out this new establishment. I know Ill keep coming back!

Great spot for Boba, Leaf Tea, Spam Musubi, and Bubble Waffles! Many of my fave comfort foods in one spot! Just missing Poke Bowls from their menu but they have a great Spam Nori Bowl. They also have harder to find asian ice cream flavors like Mango, Green Tea, Red Bean, Ube, etc. They do everything on their menu well. So happy they opened here in Nutley, esp. since Babo Tea House in Montclair closed down. Free Wifi too. I would love to see couches and comfy lounge chairs though. Please consider it in the near future. Definitely coming back again and bringing friends.

I am newly addicted to this place for a couple months now. My fav is the brown sugar milk tea. I think about getting one every day of the weekend. Staff is friendly and place is clean. I am always wanting to try different flavors, but I am always craving my goto bubble tea. I understand the whole tip thing with the credit cards because it not uncommon at all. The credit card machine/app asks the merchant for a tip, so of course the staff has to ask the question for the transaction to go through. It is not mandatory to give a tip, and no one in the staff makes you feel that way. Staff is very friendly. If you have a problem with them asking for a tip because the screen is asking, then you might as well avoid most places or pay cash because this is not an uncommon practice for businesses. I do not always give a tip, but whenever I can I enjoy supporting our local small businesses especially during these hard times. The only reason Im giving 4/5 stars is because I feel there should be a rewards program in place. I would definitely visit more if I could look forward to a free drink after so many visits.

LOVE THIS SPOT ❤️I searched for bubble tea places in the past and was mostly led to franchises that were just mediocre and a huge disappointment (the teas are either washed out or way too sweet and the boba mushy)Then a friend told me about Urban Leaf and I’m forever grateful! He recommended trying the FROZEN UBE OREO which I absolutely loved. Its a blend of Oreo cookie and Ube (a purple yam from the Philippines) whose flavors compliment each other in a light and refreshing way. Not too sweet which I loved and the boba had the perfect chew.Other than the Ube Oreo theres a variety of options including a Thai tea, which I’m looking forward to trying next. They also have bubble waffles on the menu which I hear is the latest, must try food craze. Yum!Definitely looking forward to a return visit and glad I found my go-to bubble tea spot!

I was thrilled that they offer a 24 oz. bubble milk tea option (for $6.50). Really needed my fix and they were the closest, according to GPS. I usually take mine with zero or 30% sugar, less ice. For this one I ordered 30% sugar, less ice.It was the most diluted bubble milk tea I have ever had. Lacked tea, lacked milk...I wondered for a moment if it would have tasted better with more sugar, but I have never had more than 30% sugar elsewhere and never had taste issues from the usual chains (Kung Fu Tea, Vivi, Gong Cha etc).

The waffles are amazing! Definitely worth a try. They have a unique texture that I personally feel like adds to the taste. The Thai bubble tea was okay. Cute spot to hang out and enjoy a range of Asian snacks or desserts from bubble tea to egg waffles. We came for the bubble tea but I did not expect to find things like spam musubi which I loved. I have to say, once Urban Leaf Cafe opened up, it has become a good go-to cafe for me, especially since it satisfies much of my Asian-style cafe cravings! For their bubble tea, I have tried their Taro and Ube Oreo to my satisfaction. The boba itself had a good texture and was prepared well. They also have a nice selection of hot tea, which is good to get if you will be there for a little while to sip on while you are catching up on work or with friends.I have also tried their food, the Spam Masubi and Spam Nori Bowl. The sauces they put on give everything a nice flavor and I feel both dishes are made well and good to have if you are hungry and do not mind eating some spam!My favorite thing to get here and share with friends are their bubble waffles. They offer many different toppings on the bubble waffle and their style definitely rivals ones I have had in NYC (if not this one is better thus far) so it is great that this is so close to where I live. I have already brought other friends to this spot and they have been satisfied by the bubble waffle as well!Overall, with good food, satisfying drinks, yummy desserts, and a simplistic and clean ambiance inside, come give this cafe a shot!

This place gives off a nice whole in the wall vibe, with its welcoming environment. The smell of waffles hugs you and the staff is very good at greeting you. In all honesty, I only ever had the boba and the flavored iced green tea there with tapioca but for a nice local place. I definitely would recommend at least trying the place out for yourselves. The staff are pretty good at conversations and genuinely seem like they actually like talking. Anyways to sum it up, the iced green tea is really smooth and light but the place itself is worth checking out if you are local.UPDATE: Still an awesome place and the staff is still awesome. But the one noteworthy highlight, that Ube Oreo Bubble Tea is so goooood. Makes me wanna get one everytime i think about it.
