Oakdale Ace has just about everything I need. One reason I love Ace is the staff !!. No matter what it is Im looking for, from insect killer products tree fungus products, or something more simple like making a key, or asking about lighting, the staff take me to the products themselves.,They tell me what the best product is r whats in doing Im looking for, and hows they ask questions to better help the customer. Ace is a great one stop shop with me superb customer service.

They have just about everything I would need. Price is a little higher than home depot but the employees are more knowledgeable and helpful. Id recommend this place to anyone.

A great old time Hardware Store and they actually have employees that are knowledgeable, friendly and offer to help. They give you real customer service unlike the big box stores.

Small home town hardware store but its got just about everything youd need. Its my go to place when Im picking up different tools to get the job done. They also have a pretty good section on lights as decorations when it is the holiday season. Cant find something? Just ask the staff the are super friendly and helpful.

The employees here are very informative and helpful. It is always a pleasure to shop here. My husband and myself find the employees very helpful when we find ourselves tasked with a project we have zero prior knowledge of.

Well some people they are really really nice but Im having to return some parts because they werent fitted right for my cyclone fencing I think the young man that helped me needed a little bit more knowledge

I can find most things I need, I just wish their parts shop was open more or at least had more than one person who works there. My recommendation, call and make sure that side is open before driving there.

Although it is a ace hardware location they seem to be disconnected from the online store system so you cannot check stock from home.

This is a nice store to have in our little town. Has a lot of products the big box retailers have. Definitely convenient since they are a lot closer. Their prices are bit high, if I can wait until I go to big box I will. I also noticed they dont make their patrons wear masks either.

Ive been shopping at the Oakdale Ace since we moved here 12 years ago. They arent just a place to purchase things. I shop here because the staff have never failed to provide me with the help that I need. Whether Im trying to find the right flapper or gizmo to fix an appliance, need advice on a crazy DIY project, or are looking for pretty much any nut or bolt you can think of, youll find it here. One more reason Im proud to be a part of this community!

The most courteous and helpful personnel. Easily accessible with wheel chair. Ace lets me bring my pups in and is always happy to see them. BB is the Ace Hardware Doggy. Love going here. They just let me roam around as much as I want. I always support Oakdale small businesses.

I just moved to town and constantly need do dads for my old house. Ace has had EVERYTHING Ive needed at very reasonable prices. Its absolutely great that I dont have to go to a big box store.Ace, you have a customer for life!

They had what I needed, but no one in the store was wearing masks or taking precautions to prevent spread of covid. Seems irresponsible. I got out of there.

They never seem to have what I need, employees tend to ignore you, I was there yesterday 4/14/21, there was a rather rude woman at the customer service counter, and they flat out refuse to tell you about the other nearby stores that most likely will have what you need, they perfer to send you out of town, I almost always try to shop locally, so I still go there, but I now go across town first and stop there if the other stores dont have what I need.

Small and limited selection of decor, but for what the store is for which is hard wear supplies. Its great lol!

I think overall its a good hardware store. They usually have what I need. They are mostly friendly in there and am happy with my service more often than not.

One of the nicest hardware stores Ive shopped at since Lowes killed Orchard Supply Hardware (which is why I no longer frequent Lowes). If I had a priblem its that no one seemed the s,ightext interested in following CDC pandemic guidelines. With such an attitude, its hardly surprising that Stanislaus County has a very high and fast rising CoVid count. Still, its a great store.

Our AC capacitor quit on a 109 degree day! No store around us (Manteca) had one in stock. One call to Brandon and he had a capacitor on hold for us. We now will be able to relax in a cool house thanks to Brandon.

Great store with plenty of different things and a very helpful employees

Good bunch of employees. Very knowledgable and able to quickly direct you to where you need to find any items. Screws, bolts, washers, nuts, etc. are all available by the piece. So no more buying 50 screw packs for 4 of them. Paint, plumbing, electrical, gardening, lumber, they have what you need for those small or big jobs.

I stopped by for a can of spray paint i was there for 5 minutes so Im giving it 4 stars because my shopping experience was based on one item. I didnt even have time to look around at the store but i deducted one Star for the tiny parking area. Unless Im wrong and there was parking in the back for which then i will be happy to add another star. I understand room is limited but it makes it really hard to do a quick in and quick out stop competing with others trying to leave the parking area. Otherwise they were friendly enough at checkout.

Ace is a really nice and friendly local hardware store. The prices on most things is pretty comparable to the large box stores, but the employees at Ace are way nicer and more friendly. They know the store, when you are needing help with something some of the employees actually know about the product and how to install it, not just the price... Great home town store and so convenient.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.I was here for the first time and spent most of my time browsing through the store. I noticed that the store was very organized, but the prices were a bit high.If I ever need to purchase anything that I need I am sure to find it here.

Love this store and all the employees! They have come to know us and my husband (who is in there about everyday) but most of all hiw the team helped our disabled granddaughter meet and get a photo with Santa. Ty for always making us feel as if we r family!!

Its really the only option for hardware needs in Oakdale and the staff seems to know that. Sometimes you get good customer service but usually the employees seem to try to avoid confronting customers. They have a major issue with loss prevention and their solution is to lock everything up on the shelves, thus making you search for an employee to unlock an item for you and then they take it to the counter to keep you from walking the store with the goods you need to buy. Terrible store hours(closes at 7pm), they are only open when the average person is at work, making it impossible to work on evening projects in this town. They desperately need to work on their loss prevention measures and they need to introduce a second shift to keep the store open later.

Guys in the warehouse are the best around, I would prefer going here rather than Home Depot any day of the week

They are always extremely helpful. If you are a member you get discounts so their slightly higher prices are probably the same as the bigger stores once you take that into account but the customer service is awesome. No one is better at customer service.

This place is extremely over priced they gouge you on everything. But the staff is knowledgable and helpful. Will only go here in a pinch unfortunately.

Since remodel this place seems to pack even more items! It’s a candy store for a kid to me. I go to buy a few fasteners and a light bulb and 2 hours later I’m still there rewriting my shopping list with new possibilities. The fastener room is much much more than just nuts and bolts. Few stores rival the diversity and grade 8 or hardened metric, but that’s not even half of what they have.I’m many aspects they offer more than Home Depot it Lowe’s. They don’t, however have the later evening hours and Lowe’s can often have huge price markdowns at random box damaged, item not at all damaged. And veterans @ 10% always.Ace is possibly my favorite. Employees don’t hurt that at all either, good people!

Its ok if you need something quick I prefer Home Depot just being honest

While I will admit that their prices are a bit high. They more than make up for it in customer service! I went in to get a part for my shower. It was defective from the factory. Ive purchased this kind of part from them on several occasions, never had an issue. Exchanged it with no problem. The second one was also defective from the factory. Obviously, this is out of their control. So, I had to purchase an additional part from another store. When I came in to get a refund for the second part,(it was beat up pretty bad, it got stuck due to the defect). Again I had no trouble whatsoever. In this day and age it is hard to find a business that will treat you with respect, listen to your issue, whatever it may be, and correct it for you if they can. Most places are immediately suspicious if you try to return or exchange anything. Thank you, Oakdale Ace Hardware! You will continue to get my business.

Google says I visited here 3 years ago. What a joke! Im in here several times a week!! I love how helpful everyone is, and if they dont have something theyre always willing to order it for me.

Came in to buy a couple boxes of fuses that the total was $15.... It’s all well and good that they keep them locked up but had to call it over the speaker telling the cashiers that a lady was coming up and had 2 boxes of fuses. Made me feel like a thief and I would never even contemplate stealing and that was the second time they did that when I was trying to buy something from there. Not sure if it’s discrimination or just lack of professionalism and I’ve worked in retail for 30 years. I’ll avoid going there again. Don’t need to feel like a thief.

Staff excellent, ask anybody when you enter and save time, as they will direct you to exactly where you need to go for what your looking for. ++++++
