We were blown away by Renes care, expertise and patience in testing my fathers hearing and explaining how a new hearing aid could help him. As we were leaving, my dad said he learned so much from Rene and was very appreciative.

My coming to Connect Hearing was the best ever, I was not sure what to expect but meeting with Rene Morten was just great. I found out what I did not need to do and, for the first time in 3 years, my hearing aids cannot be seen thanks to the right position Rene placed them which I discovered once home. The batteries which I had to change every 2 days are now lasting a few days. From Thursday the 15th to today the 18th I have yet to replace them.Rene is an absolute professional with a direct and warm manner. I could not be more pleased,

Rene Morten is the Hearing specialist we have been most impressed with at Connect hearing. She is a doll. Not only does she know her stuff. She also is very empathetic about my Dads situation. He has profound hearing loss and without hearing aids he would be so depressed. Even with his hearing aids on he still has a hard time understanding what is being said around him. We have gone to many hearing aid specialists and Rene Morten by far is the best weve had. I met with Bob, the audiologist. He was highly professional and very knowledgeable in his field. He educated me on some of the features, problems, resolutions of my hearing aids. He was very honest with his opinions which willl help me make my decisions on future hearing aid purchases. He was very pleasant, understanding, answered my questions and friendly to work with.

This organization has consistently been staffed with extremely professional, caring, intelligent people. I have been privileged to work with Michelle who worked miracles with my previous devices, Rene, and Heather. Most recently, I was making the transition to the latest Phonak devices and Rene went considerably out of her way to help. I live 110 miles from Pleasanton and Rene took time on her day off a couple of times to meet me around half way to help with the hearing analysis and device fitting. She took the time necessary to accomplish our goals, rather than watched the clock. As she had been assigned to another office on the day of my appointment for fine tuning, she arranged for an associate to work with the experts in the factory to fine tune the devices once I had a chance to live with them for a bit. I was very impressed. Heather worked with the factory tech support folks to fine tune the devices to their current excellent level. I think it says something about how I feel relative to this organization when I travel 110 miles to see them, as opposed to going to a local dispensary. I recommend Connect in Pleasanton without reservation.

I met with René Morthen at Connect Hearing in Oakland, CA, this past Thursday (2021.01.06) to get my right HA repaired. René was super: very courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. It was a delight talking with her, and I felt completely at ease and listened to.René not only recognized the problem (turned out the wire was frayed and needed replacement) and fixed my HA immediately, she also gave me tips on the use of my HAs which were very useful, even for me, and Ive been using HAs for almost nine years. Emma at Oakland Connect has been great. She came in about a year after I got my hearing aids, changed my settings, set up a different control program on my phone, and hugely improved my hearing aids. Connect Hearing was referred to me by a girlfriend. I was told that the Concord office was not available for a hearing assessment due to COVID. I did meet at the Oakland office. Bob Eberle was personable and handled the hearing exam nicely. Bob advised me of the pricing specials on select hearing aids and it appears that I am getting my near hearing aids at a great price. But other than this request from Connect Hearing for a rating of my experience, I have not heard when to expect the aids to arrive.

My life has been changed because of the dedicated service I received from Emma the best. For 50 years with partial hearing in my right ear I believed I was totally deaf in my left ear, she tested me and found out I had some hearing in that ear. With compassion and care she shared my options and thanks to my daughter I now have the newest Bi Cros Hearing Aids and now can clearly hear everything on both sides. Her office is really quite responsive to any hearing aid related questions or problems that i have, and will work with me regarding any concerns i have with my aids themselves, or hearing testing or dealing with my insurance company. Joanne knows how various insurance works and more importantly, is extremely knowledgeable about the various hearing aids themselves and how to set them up and troubleshoot any issues. 2nd update. Back to 5 stars. Went back another 2 times. Explained that my left aid was still popping out. She gave me a longer wire, and with the larger bell, now seems to work very well and is not popping out anymore. Emma also terminated the receptionist, who apparently was making errors with other peoples appointments also. After a little bit of miscommunication, I can now highly re-recommend Emma. Very knowledgeable and provides good customer service.Update 4 weeks later from earlier review. Went back to see Emma, and it was like she had never met me before, even though this was my third visit. She didn’t seem to have any notes about previous visits. Although she gave me a longer wire because the aid in my left ear kept popping out (at my request), she hadn’t remembered that I had complained about it at the previous visit, and that she had changed the bell size. Very disconcerting. Also, the new receptionist doesn’t seem to have gotten a handle on her job. An appointment that I had made at my previous visit had gotten cancelled for some mysterious reason (She blamed it on the call service, whatever that is. ) It took a day before she responded to my call for a new appointment. Maybe the receptionist is suppose to give Emma notes about my case, but I would have expected them to be on the computer. Now I’m torn whether to continue seeing her, or try to search out a new audiologist. She seemed very competent, but it is really strange to not being recognized.Emma is very helpful and knowledgeable. I wanted to change audiologists, but since my hearing aids were only 3 years old, I didnt particularly want to get new ones so soon. She tuned up my hearing aids to better match my high frequency hearing loss, and gave me instructions on how to insert my aids. Even though I have been wearing aids for 8 years, and I complained that they kept falling out of my ears, she substituted a smaller rubber bell and told me how to properly insert them resting on the top of my ears instead of behind them. She explained the features of the more modern aids, and if the tweeks on my older aids dont work well enough, I will definitely plan on buying new aids from her.

My hearing issues are a bit unique. I cannot hear at all in my right ear (I have been deaf in that ear all of my life). I met Joanne Brenner at a Senior Health Fair and mentioned what my problem was and that I had tried a hearing aid (needed two) about 10 to 15 years ago and the technology just was not there to help me. She let me know that technology had improved and that if I wanted to give it a try again to come into their Oakland office. My visit to the office was such a joy. We talked about what situations were important to me, and what type of device I wanted (I wanted something that fit inside the ear). Joanne explained the pros and cons of the cros/bicros (that is what I needed) hearing aids and let me try one. I was sold before I even left the office with my trial aids. Joanne and her staff were wonderful to work with and I can now hear whenever someone speaks on my deaf side. I would highly recommend Connect Hearing to anyone having issues. Thank you Joanne.

My husband and I are thrilled to have found Joanne Brenner and Connect Hearing. We moved 18 months ago to Alameda and had recently received a notice from the hearing aid provider he used in Santa Rosa that the warranty on his aids was going to expire in 3 days. After three years of continuous use, we knew they needed a check-up, clean-up, etc., and so searched for a Siemens provider in our area. Thank goodness we found Connect Hearing and Joanne, thanks to the rave reviews on Google!Joanne responded immediately and did some digging, both with the former provider and with Siemens. She discovered that, if we got the aids to her the next day, she could send them to Siemens and they would do a thorough inspection and repair, if necessary, and return them in about a week, all under the original warranty. When we arrived at Connect, she made time for us and explained everything that was going to happen. Joanne also did us the great favor of cleaning up my husbands old hearing aids, even replacing the plastic cones and tubes, so that he would be able to hear somewhat while we waited for the return of the Siemens aids.True to her prediction, we got the call 7 days later and returned to Connect Hearing today. Joanne was happy to be able to present the improved devices to us, complete with new features. They are nearly brand new!!! We are grateful to Joanne for all of her efforts on our behalf, and for her gentle reassurance and good humor. She is the only person we will call when we need more help hearing.
