Might be my first review ever but hands down just come.06 Audi needed a lot of things done. Control arms, gaskets, calipers the list goes on.George diagnosed it thoroughly, efficiently & honestly. Worked with a budget that worked for me but also wouldn’t be half patched and actually taken care of. Estimate and date didn’t change at all.During the repair, he noted another issue that I’m holding off on for now. This is my first car and idk much about them, but without knowing that George still showed me exactly what the issue was and how best not to do additional damage. Drove the car off the shop and felt a brand new driving experience.10000% will be back to finish the job, but yeah whether you’re in the area or an hour out, trust me it’s worth the visit. Daily’s to “Trailer Queens” Classics, Highly modified, pretty much whatever you can throw at this team on four wheels will go out better than it came in. Trusting a mechanic is tough to come by, especially with more complex vehicles. This is my guy. Don’t come here, this way I can get my car done faster.

George the lead mechanic i spoke with was very cool. I took my car there for air bag suspension related issues and he found multiple issues with the suspension and other unrelated problems.He was nice enough to fix one of the issues there on the spot as it was a safety problem.They work on lots of high end and mid range euro cars. If you have a euro car this is the place to go. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. A must visit for a euro enthusiast in ny.

I visited this location to diagnose a turbo issue on my 16 GTI, and was fully prepared to give them my money to fix the problem; after diagnosing the issue, the tech indicated that I might have a very good chance of getting the turbo replaced under the PZEV emissions portion of my warranty, and didnt take a dime for his expertise. My assumption was the powertrain warranty expired last year, but after taking it to the dealer, they are indeed replacing it under warranty! Never in my life have I run into a auto service shop that turned away my money and did the right thing, but this business has earned my trust and I will undoubtedly come back here for future work!

Well i figured since they had the best reviews and were known for their great work id be good but i was majorly disappointed. 1 i was promised a date and when i got there it wasnt set. Then the car took 4 days longer then the day and was left outside in the dusty road where someone stole 3 of my rim caps. When i called about it bc i didnt see it initially till i got home I called them and basically had no help. Was told they would take care of me but at that point i was just disappointed because after all the money spent and the want for mor business i was ignored. All in all the shop is great looks clean and they do the great work you need. As far as reliable just be ready for a wait . My car being dusty and missing caps was a no for me.

I took my 2017 GTI to European Auto for a DSG Service and an annoying clunking noise that was coming from the front end. The DSG service was done really quickly but where they really impressed me was with their honesty in repairing the clunking noise. George identified one safety issue and one potential reason for my clunk. After fixing the safety issue, he was very honest with me about not needing to change out the part we originally thought was causing the issue and did not try to have me pay for it anyway. Long story short, they do very good work and in my experience are very honest. Would recommend.

I was recommended to use this shop to diagnose my vehicle and I was suggested to do a carbon clean up and this made it worse. Now the intermittent issue is permanent! Owner claims that there is nothing wrong with my Audi. They don’t even call back. I guess not having a CEL limits the knowledge and experience of a master mechanic. Can’t read fuel trims? Apparently not.

European Auto is easily one of the best auto repair shops in the area. I recently went to the shop for a seized brake caliper on my mk6 gti, and the shop happened to have a used caliper for my car in stock from a previous customer - the associate informed me that they could use the parts in stock for a cheaper price than if they were to order it. The amount of value, and good faith this puts in customers is immeasurable and I will definitely be returning in the future for future repairs / upgrades. Top tier shop for VW / Audi / BMW

At European Auto they will always treat you like family. They work quick and keep you posted on everything that is going on through out the process. I brought my Audi there recently to get repaired. I had a full timing chain service (including water pump), a walnut blast valve cleaning and a DSG service on my 2010 VW GTI. George was great to work with and kept me informed every step of the way. George and his team take a lot of pride in their work. You may need to wait a bit for an appointment, but its worth it.

Ive been here several times and I absolutely love the place. George always makes me laugh and feel comfortable, while making sure to explain everything hes doing. I don’t even know where to start. I’ve never had an experience like European Auto. I’ve had the same issue for 6 months (EVAP LEAK) taking it to a handful of mechanics and no one could seem to fix it. I didn’t spend not 2 hours at European Auto and they were able to identify and fix the problem. I think it’s safe to safe I’ll be using them from now on no matter how big or small the job. I can’t say enough good things about them.

The suspension on my 2008 A4 Cabriolet was having major issues so I brought it to Audi to have it looked it. Long story short the whole suspension needed to be replaced. They quoted me a very high amount to do the job. I found European Auto Of Island Park and spoke to George on the phone. He toldMe he would be able to beat that quote exponentially. He wasn’t kidding. He ended up doing the suspension, the front and rear shocks as well as valve gasket covers on the engine for a huge fraction of the price. In times like these, savings of any kind are huge and George saved me thousands. His work is impeccable and the car is performing like new at almost a 100k miles. It feels like an Audi again. I would recommend him and his crew to anyone looking to beat the dealers prices. Your car will get the same genuine service that is promised at the dealership and then some at a fraction of the price. It’s a no brainer.

Very professional, honest, and awesome shop to go to for any needs you have. First job I got was all my vacuum lines replaced for an fraction of the price that audi was charging, and then got a timing job done. During that timing job they found a broken part which caused my misfires, which wasn’t standard to check for but they did anyways. Don’t hesitate to go!

Great work from European auto. The prices are extremely fair and the work is done right the first time. Unfortunately I had a defective rear main seal and Geo got it taken care of ASAP. I drive an hour and half to have work done by them and it’s worth it every time.

I came here to European Auto for the first time after talking to a couple of other shops. I can only say good things about these guys. Talking to the owner personally he doesn’t treat you like it’s business and business only. I came in and the minute I saw the shop I was attended to, greeted, and taken care of within minutes. I explained what was happening with my car and all the owner said was “don’t worry we’ll get it fixed” I was worried But he eased me of everything. I left my car there for 3 days and got updated every step of the way throughout everything, the guys there even found a few other things that needed some fixing and I knew I could trust them so I had them do it. I got my car back and all I can say is that it runs like if it were new again. Thank you guys for helping me out, giving great service, and most of all keeping me updated with everything that was being done to the car.

George/Jorge (never asked how his name was spelled) and his guys are amazing. They take their time to diagnose the issue unlike other mechanics who just wants your money. I brought my car to three other mechanics because of a squeaking sound coming back the rear. Two told me they dont know where its coming from, the other told me they fixed it but the sound was still there. None of them can fix the problem. George/Jorge (again, dont know how to properly spell his name) and his team took their time to pinpoint where the sound is coming from and within an hour, they located the issue. He quickly ordered the parts and told me to come back as soon as the parts arrive.The following week, the parts came, his assistant called to schedule an appointment, went in, installed the parts, and thats that. Wish I knew about him sooner. Wouldve save me a lot of money. Ill definitely come back for more of your amazing service, Great job guys and thank you!

Was my first time with European Auto and couldnt be happier with my decision. Super clean and organized garage. Had my wheels powder coated gloss black on new Mazda CX-5. They came out great. I fired a bunch of questions at George about it, because Id never had that done before...he was super informative, patient, answered every single question I had - even took me in the garage to show me a few different cars that were powder coated certain colors for ideas. First things first, the shop and the office are clean, organized and kept up and I promise you that’s a tell tale sign of a good mechanic and a great first impression. Also, there aren’t many businesses that put a personal touch on a customers experience, and that’s what George does here at his shop. Immediately upon meeting George he welcomed me into the office to sit and chat about my car and needs, which just needed a brake job and I wanted his opinion on whether or not to replace or cut the rotors. After a gentleman’s discussion we both agreed it’s best to change the rotors however there was never a moment I felt that I was being pushed into buying anything because of the thorough explanation of why the rotors should be replaced. Quite honestly I enjoyed the conversation because I enjoy talking cars and mechanical equipment, and it’s nice to talk to a guy who knows what he’s talking about and off the bat I knew he actually cares about his work. Anyway, I gave him the keys, we had a few laughs, and within a couple of hours the car was ready with new brake pads and rotors. George is a solid guy, a guy with “old school” morals, and you can tell he obsesses over getting the job done right the first time. I’m very happy to have done business here as a first time customer, and I will 100% be coming back for any further needs for my Audi and I recommend this shop to everyone and anyone looking for an honest, fair priced, stand up guy to work on their cars.

Before bringing my mk6 gti to european auto I had high confidence that the shop had the experience to perform the job correctly. On their Instagram page, they show that they have experience performing all types of different jobs/installations on my car and various other makes/models (go check it out).I received a very reasonable quote for the job I needed done. Parts were slightly cheaper than I could have sourced & the labor charge was below what I was expecting.After setting up an appt. And dropping my car off I was kept updated throughout the day on the progress of the work. I was sent a video that showed my car leaking oil from the oil pan. I told George that I was going to work on resealing the oil pan myself, and he offered helpful advice for completing the job from start to finish.I dont like letting other people work on my car but I will definitely bring my car back to European Auto in the future for projects that are beyond my skill set or that I am too lazy to do.

I think this is by far the most cleanest shop Ive ever been in. I love the office space they have. Its very comfortable. The thing I loved most about this shop was the honesty. The people there were very professional yet down to earth and thats something you dont get at most shops. I love the fact that they tell you your options from the get go and its the truth. They tell you exactly what there doing and how much its going to cost. They also told me about best and worst case scenarious. I know most shops dont like telling the customer everything because it might scare them. But for me I respected the honesty and them being very straight forward. I would highly recommend this place.
