Best indoor range ever! Been to some other ranges in the area and nothing compares. The staff is what makes this place. Rentals are fairly priced and they have a great selection (for California). Chris took the time to make me come back. Thanks guys!

First and foremost the people that work there are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Facilities are clean. They had a wide variety of handguns in stock. Including a nighthawk custom 1911 that I was drooling over.

Nice indoor facility. Very good control of guests and getting the waivers filled out on line while we waited to get in. Every other firing space was closed for distancing.Good selection of ammo and gun rentals. Not my first time here and not my last. These are professionals and run a good operation.

We worked with Alan, he was very nice, respectful and knowledgeable. He made our visit enjoyable and super easy. I hope to see him again next visit.I always liked to come here before the covid shutdown. I went into the store to conduct business and was wearing a mask because Im at risk. A female employee took offense when I casually stepped back from her when she approached me. She was wearing a mask, but it was not covering her nose. She said to me snidely, Do you have a problem? Then she mocked me to another employee. I dont know her, I was polite throughout my visit and I was just taking a precaution to prevent any chance of contracting the virus. Ill never go there again. Also, its impossible to social distance in their queue outside the door because of the narrowness of the entry area.

Just make sure if you rent a handgun to keep it in the bucket whenever it’s not at the booth. No one told us that a weapon without a case has to be kept in the bucket, they just reassured us multiple times guns must be kept in a case when leaving the booth and it’s common sense to not leave the booth with a loaded weapon. Still they kicked my entire group out the first time they saw it, weapon wasn’t even loaded. Probably to make space for the line of people outside. They refunded the full boxes but we had to pay for the partial bags that we still wanted to shoot. I’ve been coming for years and this just really got under my skin. I’ll just take my chances elsewhere. It’s nothing special, just an indoor range that’s close. If I’m gonna get kicked out with no warning on Fathers Day I don’t wanna come back or buy a gun here. My main complaint is with that girl with tattoos. Everyone else was kind. Even the guy who checked us out because the girl didn’t wanna deal with the refund. I’m honestly frustrated at how little patience she had with our group. No one else bothered us because we weren’t doing anything stupid or dangerous.

First time at Iron Sights brought my dad with me to run some rounds through a new pistol we both had a great time everyone working there was extremely helpful prices are good and range is very well maintained I will definitely recommend this range

Always a wait but the range is clean, staff is knowledgeable and military friendly. Purchased a universal reflex mount for my Glock 17 G3 and got it installed for free there.

While vacationing in Oceanside my cousin and I decided to hit a shooting range. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Rob, super cool guy. Very friendly, outgoing, and super knowledgeable. Havent experienced such great customer service, from any establishment, in so long. Its good know there are still people how know how to care for their customers.

Try not being rude to potential customers when they ask simple questions. Stopped by today to see if you still had any guns in stock (simple yes or no question) and the lady at the door was beyond rude. Did not answer the question and said we cannot let just anyone inside. First off, try listening to the customer. I re-asked and she said you only have a $2000 dollar rifle. I asked a second simple question if you could serve as a FFL to receive if I ordered on line and she was rude again. At this point I just walked away. I get it, people are nervous about Corona, but listening 101 could make potential customers not so turned off to your company.

I visited this range on my birthday. It was this week. Went to have a good time with a large group (my family). The staff was incredibly accomodating with our large group, and professional, prompt, friendly, and down-to-earth. They served us fast and everything went very smoothly although they had a lot of customers to handle. Their prices for renting a firearm are very affordable (flat rate) and they got us ready, with safety glasses and ear protection. It was an awesome experience! We spent probably 3 hours there. One of the staff members (Tom) gave us pointers on how to shoot a handgun safely and properly. The lady who helped us, I think Nikki was her name, was nice enough to give me a free target sheet as a birthday treat and an extra firearm to practice with for free. Im not saying they offer birthday specials all the time, but it really amped the customer satisfaction for us, and well definitely be coming again! Hopefully several times! I give them an A++++

Took a few friends to Iron Sights to teach them about firearms. Other than the highly tattooed Tacti-Cool young lady, everyone we dealt with was extremely pleasant and down to earth... Which makes for a good experience for new shooters. The staff was very busy & almost all of them maintained a very good attitude while they struggled to assist all their customers in a timely manner. All 24 lanes are top-notch, clean, well maintained, very nice target deployment system, good lighting and good range of presentation distances. Ive been shooting competitively for 6 years and this is by far the nicest indoor range Ive been to. A major plus was allowing ARs & Shotguns with bird, buck & slugs to be fired on their rifle side. Hats off to the owner, manager & nearly all of the employees!

I’ve been to many shooting ranges all over the US and if I would have an extra star to give I definitely would!First timer at Iron Sight and upon arrival Chris made it easy for me to check in and gave a great welcome. He also checked with me on the way out and wanted to ensure my experience was positive. Mind you other facilities don’t do that or go an extra mile on feedback. Other places want you in and out and then focused on the next sale, at Iron Sights they listen and focus on feedback which is important to me and those that seek curiosity customer service.Next I like to give kudos to Natalie for taking the time to replace a target that fell in between the range while other shooters were active. Range is clean and nice but I was denied the ability to purchase rifle ammunition while being under 21 yet over 18. I told the lady at the counter I had a hunting license, and she agreed to sell me ammunition for the gun I own. This is not the current California law, and anyone has the right to purchase rifle ammo without showing a hunting license if they are over 18 years old. It is a shame that a vendor does not educate their employees to know the current laws, and even hires those who do not know some of the most basic laws. I will not be returning and will be dissuading my friends from coming back due to this incident.

Just went in with my husband and the lady that approached us had a unnecessary attitude. My husband just asked if she had a specific item in stock and just talked to us if we were stupid. I understand the store was busy but be nice to your customers. We just walked out.

I had an amazing experience here. I was intimidated walking in, but Tom made me feel so comfortable before I walked into the range. Super friendly staff. Fun place to shoot. Been a long time since I have been at indoor range. Even with my new ear protection headset, I wished I had ear plugs also. Forgot how much louder indoor is. They have lots of guns to rent, looks like a great place to go!

Out of all the gun stores/ranges I have been to, this one is the most friendly. I have gone into other places to never be helped or be treated coldly. The folks at Iron Sights are happy to be there and it seems that they are happy to help you. Their prices are fantastic and you can shoot your new firearm right there! I will definitely be back.

Great indoor range. Good air circulation, and many lanes. I thought the customerservice was excellent. Once you register and fill out a form, they give you a card good for 2 years, and then check in is a snap. Good selection of guns and ammo, and great prices. This is a fun place to shoot.

Staff are professional and friendly, and they have a selection of guns for rental if you dont bring your own. We bring our own guns and ammo so its very affordable. They recently added rope to keep the targets from swinging. We feel safe while shooting.

Great many variety of firearms to choose from! The ones Ive fired work great! They schedule cleaning for the firearms on a regular basis! The staff is very helpful and informative and they always ask if you know the basics of shooting a firearm and if you want them to show you how to use which ever firearm you chose!

Not a terrible place to shoot. Usually crowded and the staff is too busy to really help you out or answer many questions. Lobby is rather small which makes the crowding issue worse. Range fees were pretty good and was even worth getting a range card. Not bad at all but could be better.

Very good place to hone your skills. Staff were helpful and informed. Liked the tab system. Only downside is make sure if you bring ammo to save money is be aware they dont accept steel cased ammo like tula or wolf. Went there on a Thursday, had half the building to myself. If you are a lover of freedom, the smell of powder and live in North County then this is the place for you!

To start with, Chris is a great dude. 25 yard max distance here. Usually there is a wait. You do have to wait for the target to stop swinging once you send it down range. Its local, its convenient, and when I shoot pistol only, its the place I go to.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are willing to lend a helping hand. I would recommend bringing your own ammo and targets as the range rental is a great deal. The lanes are well lit however the lighting behind the booths is very dull.

Not going to lie I was not exactly sure what to expect, I have never shot a gun before today and the helpful staff was very eager to answer all of our questions and to help us find the right gun to use. 1st time at this range. Got here as soon as it opened and it quickly filled up with shooters on a Sunday morning. Was in and out with no problem. Staff was friendly and not looking over my shoulders. However they kept an eye on the range from time to time to make sure everyone was following the rules. Great thing about this place is that they let you use aluminum cased ammo. Some places wont let you use aluminum cased ammo.Awsome time and will be coming back with friends and family.

Best range experience in a long time!! Super great staff! The first time visitors/registration process was very well organized and simple. The shop had everything one could need to get rounds down range. Easy purchasing process, target set up and clean up, no wonder why this place is so successful. Their days/hours of operation are SUPER COOL and CONVENIENT, EVERYDAY 10:am-10:pm!! There will be many more future visits to this establishment for me, my friends and family for sure!Outstanding job lady and gents!!!

This is a great indoor shooting range always get treated pretty good here. Just beware it gets pretty busy some days thats why some people cry about the customer service but really its just them. I go twice a month with my best friend cant wait to shot my ak47 when I get it.

First time at the range on 11/2/12. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Safety orientated. Good selection of rental handguns. Air quality in the range is excellent. Very crowded on Friday night, but thats because its a great place to go to.

The range area is uncomfortably small and I usually feel unsafe here because the people who use this range are often not well praticed in firearms. LOTS of newbies and homeboys. Great selection of rentals to choose from. Sometimes the staff can come across in that typical arrogant gun shop employee way but some have great service. All in all if u dont want to drive to the desert or a better north county range then it works to get some rounds down range. Personally I do not come here anymore, there are better options out there. Safety is very important when shooting and the reality is every time I come here someone looks like they have no idea how to use their weapon and that freaks me out. Rainbow is an awesome range if u are willing to drive and sign up for a membership.

Went there a couple times and had a decent experience. No training though, despite them being my first times handling a gun; just a small, common-sense safety quiz. Then I went there alone and was told I couldnt shoot if I was alone unless I have my own weapon (which is the case with most places). When I asked what the reason was, they quickly got short with me. They have cheap rentals. The .22 we rented for my little sister was malfunctioning. Ammo is a bit pricey, but fair enough.

I truly enjoy Iron Sights. Not the most fancy range but it definitely doesnt feel like it. Staff is always very helpful and attentive. It does get a little tight if its busy but they do a good job of getting through everyone. Itll always be my go to spot since its very close and open pretty late. They DO NOT mess around with safety, they WILL get on you for being dumb/unsafe instantly. Seen it a few times.

Staff were really cool. The range was cool. Me and my girlfriend shot about 800 rounds and had a great time signing in was easy and the prices are very reasonable the store had a bunch of good stuff I picked up a nice rifle case while we were there. Overall great experience we will absolutely be back keep up the good work ironsights

Great local range with a good selection. Took my daughter for her 10th bday to shoot a good old rueger 10/22 and the staff was welcoming and generally happy to see a young girl that excited to shoot at a real range for the first time. Thanks again the staff for helping her out

It may not have some of the bells and whistles of some of the ranges in the area but the friendly and helpful staff make this range my number 1 choice.As you’d expect you pay a little over the odds for amo here when hiring guns but they have to make a profit and don’t rip you off, the choice of guns for hire along with the guidance and help the staff make this range a must visit.I’ll be back next time I’m in town

I like this range because the range staff do not hover over you while you shoot. In Canada, if you do not bring your own weapon they will hover you, reload for you, and baby sit you in the most inconvenient way they possibly can. This place does not do that. They do however require you to have 2 people in your party to rent a gun here. Went tonight the first time to Iron Sights. Went to a few shooting ranges, but Iron Sight was very impressive. They even laminate your range card. Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. Even more there help you out if you have any issues.They allow you to fire shotguns so its a really good place if you want to practice your home defense weapon and I think the only one in North San Diego County and OC.I always keep an eye of the people around and how they handle their weapons. Most of them are very professional and handle their guns in a very safe way. Felt very comfortable around the other shooters - which doesnt apply to every shooting range.Overall a A++ experience and I will be back soon!

My experience here was great! Met other shooters and we all went on eachothers lanes and let each other out a few round through our different rifles. Staff was very friendly, all though not as experienced with firearms as I think they should be. I will be returning here for all my pistol range needs. For rifles, I will go to outdoor ranges. They only have a 25 meter range here, so not so great for long gun shooting.

I love Iron Sights. Its a great indoor range, the staff is great, prices are fair, considering there is no time limit for use of the range. Overall, a great place to shoot.

I went into the complex today intending to shoot. No one said anything to me until after several minutes. Then I was informed that you can not utilize the rental services with only one shooter. I explained that I am a Federal Lawenforcemnt Officer and that I just wanted to knock out a litttle training. Still was a no even though none of this information is posted on the website or anywhere in or around the premises. If they want to implement the policy that’s their choice, but it needs to be posted so the customer doesn’t drive over there and get denied service unknowingly.

Best indoor shooting range in S. California by far. The staff are extremely friendly to new shooters (unlike the condescending attitude Ive witnessed at other ranges). Most importantly, their rules and regulations are enough to ensure safety, while allow realistic training. Some indoor ranges require ridiculous safety courses before firing rifles on the line; however, Iron Sights treats its guests like adults and allows rifles, shotguns, etc. as well as drawing from holster and rapid fire (within reason).I happily make the 1 hour drive from Orange County to Iron Sights, because I know its the only indoor range where I can expect competent and friendly staff and the ability to realistically train on my firearm. Thank you all for running such a professional operation for responsible gun owners to enjoy.-Allen

These guys have an awesome indoor range. They take safety seriously and offer a great indoor shooting range (albeit with limited space) for a fair price, especially around here.

This place is busy, so get over it. Range fees are reasonable. Staff are very helpful, obviously sometimes they are just hustling to keep the flow going so cannot spend too much time chit chatting. Overall they are really helpful. The last time I took a beretta 9mm, I told staff that it was not my gun and was not sure when it was last used. He racked the slide and determined that it needed some oil, otherwise it would keep jamming. He oiled the slide, checked it once again and sent us off to our lane. I thought that was very cool of him.

For being in southern California Im not expecting a lot with the range, which isnt bad for what their working with, the prices are good as well for gun rentals. But my major complaint is the supervisor they had for the shooters that day, I went in with my girlfriend, and our friend to shoot our new shotguns and was trying to teach her how to use the shotgun, he watched us take them out of the case and when I start explaining it to her and showing her the various parts, he comes up and gets in my face like hes trying to establish himself as the alpha male in the pack, telling me no weapons manipulation behind the firing line its called teaching you idiot, and even when I played along he kept doing it and threaten to kick us off the range. I dont care if your a 40 year old man working at a gun store/shooting range, you do not automatically know everything. I walked in happy and left furious at the level of disrespect he showed us. I would give this place a 1 star if it werent for the other people working there who were very nice and professional. That supervisor didnt just ruin my day, he ruined my week.

The staff here are great. Their biggest issue is this place needs a MAJOR update. Very old ranges with manual toggle switch style movement. Takes 5 minutes to let the target settle in place before you can start shooting. I wish they would expand and create a larger rifle range. Nobody seems to use the pistol range but the rifle range is almost always busy. They did however stop accepting FFL transfers which is a HUGE disappointment for me.

Very helpful. We rented a hand gun and had no issues they were busy and still did everything they could to make sure we got on the range before I had to leave for my flight. I would definitely go back anytime to shoot in san diego
