Wow, this place is amazing!! It has so many things, the prices are amazing. I came in expecting a military surplus store for the boys that brought me, I left with bags of stuff for the house.They have books, drinks, clothes, snacks, holiday decor,hardware, everything.So much fun, for everyone. We live 8 hrs away and are talking of coming down here for a day trip.

Great place to shop. Its a one stop shopping store. Great selection of clothes, housewares and so much more. Great cafe in store for when your hungry you can stop and get a bite.

Awe heck! They always have what Im looking for. In fact, I usually leave with more items than I had on my original list. AND, no matter what Im looking for, someone is usually around to point me in the right direction! Fun place to visit and shop. Its a good thing I live far away or Id be in there every day!

I love this place. Period. Its got everything you need, and for a pretty good price. I love their toys section, especially if you are a farm family (wish ours was one). Their army part of the store is super cool, especially for little kids to see what it was like during the wars, and the equipment they used.

My first visit and I loved the variety of stuff! Had I not been from out of town I would have given it a more serious look. The candy section is outstanding for sugar and sugar free folks. Totally worth the visit.

Awesome store!I wear a size 7 work boots, not only did I find one pair. They had a few for me to choose from. Also was looking for a snow boot. Found bothI will definitely go back.

About this store, you name it- they got it! This is our favorite stop when coming to Salt Lake from 4 hours away. They have military, doomsday prep or zombie apocalypse, MRE food by the mass, guns, ammo, hunting, hunting gear, camping, outdoor, candy, seasoning, crazy amounts of kitchen utensils, automotive, house, cleaning of any kind, anything!!!This is the best store for anything and it is so extremely stocked and full of anything and everything youll need you just have to check it out for yourself to really appreciate this store!

I absolutely love this store! One of the gems of Northern Utah :) they have a little bit of everything, and at prices that are actually better than Walmart in some cases. The staff is friendly and laid back and the store itself even has a sense of humor. One of my favorite places to shop, even though I often find myself buying things that I didnt plan on 😂

This place has almost any and everything you could imagine. Gives you the feel of a flea market or a swap meet type of vibe. This is definitely a place worth the visit and revisit! There is just no way you can see everything on the first visit. The only thing I didnt like was It was kind of hard to find an employee for help because they dont wear uniforms. Hands down this is definitely a unique store! Reminded me of Jungle Jims back east!

This is one of the coolest places to shop at for almost ANYTHING!! So many things to look at with the wide variety of things they sell. Everything from clothing, shoes, guns, ammo, every outdoor activity you can think of, emergency preparedness, home goods, lawn and landscaping, tools, work gear, great gift ideas, and they even have those good ol candies you just dont see anymore. I can easily spend a whole day here specially with the kids. Unfortunately due to covid-19, the Lil Cafe inside the store where u can order food and drinks is temporarily closed. But the awesomeness of this store with their more than welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff always compensates and makes it worth the visit. ALWAYS A FUN EXPERIENCE AT SMITH AND EDWARDS! 😃👍🏼👍🏼

I am so disappointed. Smith and Edwards is certainly not what it used to be. It is no longer a business with integrity that values its customers. Bert would be appalled. We purchased an expensive—$1,200 tent. After we set up the frame we discovered the canvas was way too small & didn’t fit the frame. Not only is the canvas too small for the frame but the spec specifications are not what is listed. It’s a foot narrower in width & a half foot shorter in length. We went back to the store and got the runaround. “We don’t make them, we just sell them” & other nonsense. My advice, stick with the cheap, inexpensive stuff and definitely pass on the cheap, expensive stuff. Also, don’t spend more money than you are okay with losing.

This place is a Must stop for everyone! It will literally take you 2 visits to see everything! If you want to do something on a weekend or just to get out of the house, go here! They have everything you could imagine from kitchen needs revamping needs to hunting, fishing, canning, boots, jeans, womens wear, kids, babies, teens, Carhartt brand, misc. Medical instruments. They even have an area of a wide assortment of candies. I guarantee you will see candies there that will take you back to your childhood. Easy access take I-15 N. To 2700 N. Exit. Take left then a right at signal. Go down a bit you cant miss it on your right. Prices are fair.....either way bet you leave with a candy from the past! Enjoy!

A bit crowded, no non cafinated diet drinks. It been a long time since Ive been there. The clerks and employees were very courteous. Its a big store. Lots of products. Including yummy caramels. Thats what I went in to get and they were good.

This place is nuts, theres so much stuff. Almost like combining a farm and ranch store with a discount store. We got some canning supplies and browsed around. Most stuff is dollar store quality, just seems like knickknacks and a lot of junk. The prices were normal, didnt see anything that was crazy cheap. Overall there wasnt anything I wanted but they have everything for someone thats for sure!

Besides being able to get hard to find army surplus. They also have an Ace Hardware, and a store that specializes in tack guns, and camping gear. Carrying a large variety of snacks including hard to find jerky of all kinds in very good prices. You have to come and see this awesome store!

What a fun store. Theres so much to look at and buy. We have been about six times. Next time we go Ill take a few photos.This time we bought a few cool decorative things. I found a small butter knife that can also curl frozen butter with. I gave my box grater to my daughter. I now have something to grate frozen butter for cornbread, pie crust, scones, biscuits, and pastries. I love this little butter curler knife.

I like to collect military hats and this stores surplus section is perfect. I bought a ushanka for eight dollars if I would have gotten the same one online it would have been thirty dollars. a great place if you want to save money and still get quality items.

Love that they have such a deluxe candy section! We specifically stop here every time we are headed to salt lake to get candies we can’t get or find anywhere else. Many of them foreign and fun! They have a big selection of everything honestly, sometimes hard to find but their employees are helpful. I spend most of my time in the candy section.

They have everything. 20 years ago they had the best prices around. Now they are a little higher than average.

First time going here and it is such a FUN store. So many fun things to see and unique items for a great price. We will be stopping by every time we travel to Idaho.

Smith & Edwards is an iconic store in Norther Utah. They have a little of everything and you can spend hours looking through things you wont find in other stores.

I accidentally left my phone in the store during my last visit, and even though they were closed, the remaining employees were so sweet and let me come in to find it, and they even helped me look! Very friendly and kind people. 10/10 service! Thank you guys so much!

From candy to clothing, gardening, hunting, saddles and horse riding supplies, camping, home improvements, they have tools, kids toys, a large selection of military surplus. Fishing supplies. Lots of guns and ammo. The list is endless. If you need anything, try here first. I bought Danner hiking boots for a very reasonable price. Love this store. Could browse for hours.

If youve never seen this place make a point to come in... Plan on it taking a while to explore this place is big, and has lots of hidden gems to find.

I went to the north Ogden store looking for some new boots and the ladies there were tireless about helping me find what I needed. After trying on so many, they finally dug out a smooth ostrich boot that FIT my big feet. I was so glad to find a nice boot that fits me. Awesome service.

They definitely have a random variety of stuff they sell. Yet most people when asked about smith and edwards, say something about their candy selection. They have snow boots, jeans, shoes, outdoor stuff, along with paint, seasoning, paracord, and odds and ends. (plus a lot more)

Love Smith and Edwards, its probably my all time favorite store. Went to get a horse lead to use as a dog leash, tons of ropes to choose from.I just saw the companys reply back to my review, I realized I didnt even mention the fact that while I was there, I had at least 4 employees ask me if they could help me find anything, another said hello when I walked in, and the cashier was very friendly as well. Yes, the customer service is awesome as well.

I felt extremely uncomfortable in this store; the feeling of “I’m being followed” lingers throughout the air. Each time I come here I feel the same way. Honestly, I wouldnt shop here if I didn’t have to; only in a pinch. We’re almost in 2022 and people of color are still being followed around the store. Smh

Had them order and hold 2 full boxes of a candy my family loves and is hard to get. They called me when they arrived and held them until I could pick up(I live about 40 miles away). Awesome customer service! Love shopping there when in the area!

An uncle calls this place the eighth wonder of the world. This was our first time visiting and it was a wonder! It is HUGE and filled with the most random items. Check it out! Its definitely interesting!

Coming here is an experience. Its sort of a cross between of a flee market and a museum. Love the variety, the bargains, and their country style. I hope they never change. I cant imagine they ever would :)

There’s no place like Smith & Edwards. It’s like Ace Hardware, Military Surplus and your Grandpa’s Shed got together and opened a store. If you can’t find something here, you weren’t looking. On top of that, the staff is friendly and go out of their way to help you and the prices are good.
