I am only giving this review 4 stars due to the fact that not a lot of product is readily available (I know it is not all your fault and extenuating circumstances exist). I want to make sure, however, that 5 stars should go to Holly and to Georgina who were very professional and extremely helpful. They both helped us find as much of the furnishings as they could. Look forward to future purchases and will definitely be reaching out to Holly and Georgina.

I went in the other day and this lovely young lady Edith helped me choose furniture for my new home. She was very attentive the whole time and was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. One of the best services I have received while furniture shopping. Will definitely be coming back!

Raul was a great employee, very competent and nice to deal with. Had an item delivered, upon inspection it was defective. He was available and helped us replace it. He is the reason we will continue buying from Matthias Brothers.Products were good, but we will return because of his excellent customer service.

My salesman Rick was wonderful and patient with me. He helped me measure the furniture I was interested in and helped with color matching. However, the movers messed up my sliding screen door, but they did an okay job setting up the furniture.

Adam, the young man that assisted me was knowledgeable and took me directly to the many different pieces I wanted to look at. I was only interested in the pieces that were in stock, which was most everything I wanted, and he checked right away to make sure they were. The fact that all the items could be delivered in two days kinda threw me back on my heals a bit. I’ve been remolding for a couple of months and so many items, like appliances, have taken a few weeks to arrive, at best. Two days … I’m overjoyed. The store is huge with so many choices. I’ve bought a lot of furniture in my life and this was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Needless to say, I’m now a big fan.

This the second year where I was able to go into Mathis’s Bros and not only find exactly what I wanted but to be assisted to finish out the process with best deal, delivery service and warranty intact. There is such a variety of choices and not to be pressured but helped by salesperson (Carlos). I think it is outstanding when it can happen 2 years in a row. Excellent color, comfortable, and size of recliner for me a woman that is electric with assembly. Try them out first you won’t regret it!

Mohammad is very professional, forthright, and goes above and beyond. After shopping at Ashley’s and other furniture stores, I’ve found that Mathis is the fastest, cheapest, and highest quality. Every furniture need going forward will be purchased at Mathis.

Angelina the salesperson was very nice and professional . The only negative mark I have is that every single bed frame that I picked was not in stock in Indio or Ontario . I almost left without buying anything . Finally they had the last bed i choose in stock .

Our sales associate Ricky was helpful. We were also given our space to look without the hovering salesman. We did end up purchasing two recliners, the sole reason we were there for. It was a pleasant experience.

Have bought almost every piece of furniture in my house from them. Have had many problems with what has been delivered. They have had to replace several things but I have always worked with them on it. Wife recently bought a sectional from them and a recliner for a pretty penny. Was told that if we didnt like the recliner we could swap it out no problem. When they showed up to deliver the sectional part of it was damaged and I didnt like the recliner. Ordered another recliner and told them to just bring it when they brought the damaged piece and they wanted to charge me for shipping again. Got a call today telling me that the part for my sectional once again came damaged and that sometime in September they would bring me a replacement. Needless to say I told them to just pick the whole thing up and that I was done with them. Went to Ashley and bought the same quality of furniture and basically the same thing for $1k dollars. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere besides Mathis Bros. You will save money and be better off

Why do I feel like I’m in a used car lot when I walk in the door! Or maybe they don’t trust their customers! Please don’t follow us around please,when we need help we’ll let you participate! It’s hard enough to decide about furniture without trying to hide behind the furniture!Love your inventory though!

Yesterday we went to Mathis Bros Indio to shop for a small dining room table. Lorena Gonzalez was our sales rep. It was great how she let us browse on our own without hovering over us, she was in the same area as us so when we had any questions we would see her and she assisted us. She had a Great attitude even though our purchase wasnt a high dollar amount .We will seek her assistance next time we shop there. Great job Lorena!

I absolutely love the service and knowledge I get from Chelsey when I’m shopping for furniture. Furniture is such an important decision and she always seems to know just what to show me with the quality and pricing i need in mind. I love how Chelsey is professional, yet personable at the same time! We just recently had her help with our first adjustable bed and new mattress and she was simply wonderful at helping us find just what we needed! Give Mathis Bros a try and ask for Chelsey!!!

We’ve been going to Mathis brothers for years now and have never had an issue till now. We normally go to the same salesperson but this time we went she wasn’t there and we decided to let another associate help us. We ordered our bedroom set and were told that it would be in for Pickup in a couple weeks and that we would get a call to schedule pick up. Weeks have gone by and no one had called so I decided to call and check in on my order and they tell me my order has been ready for pickup and I told them I never received a call. Normally I’m not one to get upset over things like this but after we hung up and scheduled a day for pick up the associate calls to tell us our order was ready didn’t even apologize and acted like nothing happened. Will not be returning to her again.

Everytime I go in to look around all the workers were always nice and very helpful.. this time I went in to buy and Angelina Beltran helped me. She was very kind and walked me through the process step by step. She didnt push items that I didnt want on me but made sure I had everything I specifically wanted. This was great service and I will be coming back here in the future.

Isiah was very patient and pleasant to work with. We shopped around and prices at other stores were comparable but we liked working with Isiah and stayed with Mathis Brothers. We purchased a mattress and a recliner.

Greeted at the door by Sam in Indio. He listened and showed us around and we went home to measure for the new sofa and loveseat. Sam arranged the entire purchase with us over the phone. The next morning, paperwork was ready at the cashier. Excellent crew at the loading dock got me in and out. Everyone was polite, attentive and a real pleasure to work with. Thanks everyone !

Stopped in looking for powered recliners. Had found a set we liked at another store, but could only get it in gray which didnt match our decor. Shown around by Katherine Stone. Was patient with us, finally found a special order set that we liked. Ended up buying 2 recliners and matching couch. Have a wait a few weeks for the church to arrive, recliners coming next week.

Georgeaia was a great sales person. She was knowledgeable and gave us plenty of space to make our decision. No pressure. We found a great bargain.

Valerie was pleasant, not pushy, informative and patient agent. She was fun to talk to and I felt we were talking with an old friend. She understood my needs as soon as I described them and showed us every inch of the store where the chairs we were shopping for were.

We purchased a power recliner and were bally with the purchase. Our sales person Carlos was very helpful. He didnt follow us around and he gave us time to browse before he came to answer any questions. We appreciated that space. He was patient and very accommodating to our needs. We wouldnt hesitate to do business with him and Mathis Bros. While Im at it Id like to give a shout out to the second delivery team that had to come out on Saturday 7-31-21 they were very helpful and took time to show us what was wrong with our delivery.

Nice showroom. Two floors. No one on 2nd floor offered to help us - went downstairs and then back up to look at item.Selected one chair for purchase. Had to provide way too much info to buy one item. Then told the warehouse was closed and would have to return another day to pick it up.Called the next morning to confirm dimensions. When we picked up the item - we determined we would have to assemble it. - we were not informed at the time of purchase. Once assembled the item did not match the dimensions we were given. I could have canceled the purchase an selected another item if I wasn’t misinformed. At this point, it’s just a big hassle

Obviously they have an excellent selection of furniture to choose from. Our Person, Mike was excellent very informative. However, the invoicing was very complicated and had to be adjusted roughly 4 times so that we have the accurate pricing and items available for shipment. For some reason the invoicing doesn’t itemize in order of the products you purchase. It’s very random, keep flipping the pages to make sure that certain pieces are on the invoice as well.Not sure why they do it this way, but it’s very frustrating. Even Mike had problems with it and he works there!

Sal met us at the door and told us if we needed anything he will be around. We we were ready with our questions, he was knowledgeable, professional and patient. We ended up purchasing 2 couches and great chair for our living room. Sal made the process very easy and straight forward. Thank you.

However, I wanted to take a moment and share the excellent customer service my husband and I received recently at Mathis Bros. in Indio.Our sales person, Chelsey, had no idea what was in store for her when we arrived. We were on a mission to furnish an entire home. She was patient and thorough throughout our many changes and offered solid and expert advice. She never made us feel rushed or that we were a bother. I would definitely recommend a visit to Mathis Bros if you’re ever in the market for new furniture.

Although the wide selection of furniture and accessories is more traditional than my tastes, shopping at Mathis is always fun. I always find interesting accessories and today was no exception. Best of all, salesperson Eddie was nearby to answer my questions and help with my search without being intrusive or overbearing. Overall, it was a fun and productive shopping trip to Mathis.

Tried to make a purchase on line. When I needed answers to questions I tried the text option. The first rep left me hanging with no answer. So I had to start over. The second rep was helpful but the payment process was ver cumbersome and took way too long to complete. I’m glad they had the product I wanted at a good price but save your patience for payment.

Transaction was fast and courtious. Salesman was respectful and listened to our needs.

It’s too bad that the systems and follow up customer service can’t come close to matching the selection and sales experience of this store.We purchased about $10k of furniture from Mathis and had a series of issues, such as the delivery of multiple damaged dressers, beds without a bed rail, late product and more. Without going through a litany of customer issues, I’ll just say we reached the point of deciding we would not go back. However, we had points in the form of a credit that we thought we would use up first, so we went in to buy a rug for our entry way.We thought we found one, though their system was such that they had to write up the sale three different times to apply our credit (which should have given us a clue) only to result in us discovering when we got home that they gave us a carpet other than the one we ordered. Upon some back and forth, we were told that the salesperson and the sales manager concluded that sales did everything right, but the warehouse tagged it wrong, and if we wanted the carpet we thought we ordered, it might be available in 3 weeks, which would not work for us.We were then sent a picture of an alternative rug that was in stock that might work. We asked, to avoid an hour of driving, if they would deliver it and pick up the wrong one. They said no.I spent 29 years of my career in retail with a company that sold furniture (among other things). I understand how things can go wrong and usually try to give the company the benefit of the doubt. After multiple service issues in which it regularly fell on me to invest time and incur costs to get what I ordered, I no longer have any doubt.If this company could match their “back end” systems to their “front end” presentation, or could install better methods of recovery when mistakes are made, they’d be unstoppable. Without that, they’re a just a place I’ve stopped going to.

Very disappointed in the level of service received. From purchasing, exchanging, and customer service. Your service and follow up is horrible. Hopefully your items do not come damage! And getting a call back from Audrey the Store Manager seems to be a gamble.

I love Mathis brothers furniture!! It has wide spectrum of furniture and style. Great durable quality brands. And I love that on chairs or sofas I have choices on fabrics to fit my house style and needs. My last house I furnish the master bedroom and family room. In my current home furnishing a living room and multi purpose room. The staff is very helpful and help with my room design

The people and service was great, then I went to pickup and the workers really dont know how to load it. They were super rough with my new couches, I literally had to help the guys so my merchandise didnt get damaged. Mind you there was two other guys there just watching them struggle. Glad I picked up, dont know if my furniture would have made it in time me piece if they had delivered.

Anything I need, Mathis Btothers always has me covered. I always feel like a VIP when I call Hilmar. He makes the entire process run smooth from purchase to delivery. I highly recommend Mathis Brothers for all of your furniture needs!

Was a great and quick experience! I came in knowing what I wanted and the sales rep Raul at stor #55 was able to show me what I was looking for. Raul was also able honor the online website without a problem and got everything taken care of in half an hour.

I WAS contemplating buying a kingsize Electric bed from MATHIS BROS in the desert..BUT I have friend that made a purchase of a mechanical bed from these people MONTHS AGO WITH WARRANTY....The bed broke down UNDER WARRANTY and has never worked since, they constantly send them a repairman with no knowledge of Electric beds, they send him a repairman who tells him to get under the bed with the manual and fix it himself....He is 76 years old for God sake.@#$%..What kind of a company does that? MATHIS BROS REFUSES to stand by their product. There CUSTOMER SERVICE is non existent.....SO DO NOT BUY A AN ELECTRIC BED FROM MATHIS BROS

I have waited months for everything I have ever ordered. None of the 3 salespeople I have had has kept me updated when my orders didn’t arrive as promised, although I believe it is Mathis Brothers policy to do so. It seems it would have been easier if I had just skipped the middleman/salesperson.

We bought black stools, but when we got home and opened the box, they were a light Grey. My wife went to return them and swap them for the right color, but was asked if she was sure about the color and implied that she was mistaken. She was told there was nothing they could do until tomorrow and offered her store credit until we can get it resolved in the store. Isnt this something a store should be able to quickly and efficiently resolve in house? She showed them the chairs being returned (still in the box) and took them back to the chair sample upstairs to show them what was given to us and what we bought, but still implied that we dont know the difference in color and that they could not do anything until a later time? But the sales associates are quick to make sales and swarm the customer like vultures.

Worst place to go if your looking to get any sort of help. I went there today hoping to come home with a new sectional. As soon as we walked into the building the sales women gave us funny looks very briefly spoke to us and showed us about 3 sectionals. It seemed she was truly uninterested and couldnt be bother to help us. She ended up pointing us on our way and going to sit down to look at her phone! Worst experience I have ever had at a furniture store truly expected more. But I mean I should have seen this coming seeing as almost all the employees where lazing about on thier phones. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone ! Do not go here!

Went to 4 different furniture stores and came back to Mathis brothers. The price and service is perfect.

This was our first visit to Mathis Brothers. It’s a huge store! We were looking for a counter height table for our kitchen nook. We were greeted by Mohammed as we entered the store. He took us to the exact location in the store. He explained what we would find and answered all our questions. He stepped away and allowed us to look around as long as we needed. In a short time we found what we wanted and placed our order with Mohammed. The whole process couldn’t be easier. Mohammed was great, very professional and courteous. We’ll be back to Mathis Brothers for our other furniture needs.

Our salesman, Billy was incredibly knowledgeable and suggested things we had not even thought of yet. He was friendly and allowed us to shop around without feeling pressured. The prices are amazing as well. We will definitely be going back in the future.

My bed has been on backorder since April. Its July. We had previously bought a bed from clearance that was marked with the wrong size and missing parts which caused us to return it. We ordered a new one and were told it would arrive in two weeks. Its over three months later.. The arrival time just keeps being extended. We decided to cancel, and now were told that there are some problems with getting a full refund because some parts of the bed we returned were not returned. So now we have to prove that the previous bed was picked up fully in order to get a full refund. I have no bed, just headaches. Never shopping here again.

I don’t even know where to begin with this place! It’s been 2 weeks since the delivery of my damaged dining set and wrong sofas. Not to mention I had placed this order since June of 2020 and then to receive damaged goods and wrong product, the sofas that are wrong that were delivered were also damaged and fabric coming apart .... I called and spoke to my sales associate Ricky who was “going to take care of this “ yet I’ve still not heard back from anyone, not to mention I called twice to speak to the GM and I’m given to my sales associate. This has been the most unorganized, unprofessional business I’ve ever dealt with. The lack of customer service, and quality product is unbelievable here. I’ve been more than patient for 10 months waiting for my purchase, even still giving understanding and patience when I received my wrong order. Patience has ran out at this point when the business I’m spending money at has such disregard for the customer. At this point I want a full refund and will never do business here again! I will tell all family and friends to BEWARE and don’t waste your money or time here! Hope this review can spare anyone else the headache and inconvenience!
