I found a couple of gems here. I walked in and wasnt expecting much, however I soon acquired a taste for its specific bookstore aesthetic. It is just a small shop, but all the genres are there. The employees were friendly as well. I would definitely go again sometime!
Absolutely love this place. Definitely gem in the community. Jonathan is very knowledgeable. They have a great variety of books.
I’m so glad I finally stopped by here! Camille was so kind and helpful. They have a good selection and even have art from local artists for sale.
Fantastic bookstore with broad range of books but also a great center/venue for progressive organizing.
I had no idea this treasure existed. So glad the local News brought this struggling business to my attention. This is a perfect place to grab an African-American History month gift, as well as any other birthday, anniversary, educational reading material. This place is worth its weight in gold.
If you are looking for good African American books this is the place to go to. Very good selection of books and if you time it just right you may get feed.
This one I have not been in but I suggest you check it out for yourself or somebody had a pretty good stuff going on
Found many good books there, and also great local art.

Great place and great owner
Impressed by what Ive heard. Will be visiting soon with my grand daughter...
They can find any book I need and theres always wisdom floating around in there.
Great Black-owned book-buying experience.
Great people with big hearts. They are an important staple in their comunity. Ive personally donated and you should too if you can. Even better show up and buy some books. Comunity leader owned.
Amazing little book store. Will be back!!
Great finds and provides a great place for the community!
Awesome book store!
Nice and quaint. Friendly staff.
My family and I went in for a story time the store hosted. The store owner, Camille, introduced herself to us when we came in. She interacted with everyone who came in and called many of her customers by name. She’s a great teacher judging by how she involves herself with the room. I’ll definitely be back.
Wonderful, love the books and the store, so many good reads to choose from.
I am so glad to have recently discoveredNappy Roots Bookstore in my own NE OKC backyard. Owner, Camille Landry, is an intelligent, knowledgeable, passionate and engaging community advocate and entrepreneur. Drop by this cozy, welcoming space and support this local independent bookstore.
Great book store. I fully support small, black-owned businesses
This is one the best bookstores in OKC. They have excellent selections at great prices. They also work tirelessly to promote community development, literacy, and to provide support and opportunities for the OKC metro! They deserve as much business as you can send their way!
Totally one of my favorite spaces in Oklahoma! Great Service, Community empowerment and REAL BOOKS!!! I LOVE NAPPY ROOTS BOOK STORE!!
