Disappointed with A1 garage door service. At 4:15pm OKC Justin called to say he would be arriving at my house within ~1 hr. I also received a text message from A1 saying he was en route. I left work, arrived home, and began the waiting game. Finally by 6:30 it was clear he wasnt going to show. It was peculiar to say the least. I called this morning to make sure everything was okay. I spoke with Kelly, who informed me that Justin was called to an emergency. I understand things happen but a phone call would be the courteous and professional thing to do. Hopefully we will have better luck with Discount Garage or Trotter

Coy did a fantastic job on our garage door. We needed the motor replaced and he was able to do it same-day. Coy gave me estimate options and expert advice. We have a weird garage and he put in extra time and effort to make sure the install was perfect. Service was excellent and the communication with the company was simple. Found a garage door opener problem Saturday morning, called A1, and Cody P. was there by 2pm. My opener was a loss and Cody was back by 8:30am Sunday. He installed an excellent new opener, door springs, and opener track in a couple of hours and explained all the electronics. I am more than happy with the products and the whole experience. Nathan was fabulous! He called just before to let me know he was on the way. He was so compassionate to my situation because I was emotional due to having to move my late husband’s car out so he could install them. Once he arrived, I was in tears again because it was time to move the car. He talked me through it and that helped me back it out. He continued to just listen and understand what I was going through as he installed the doors. What was great was he didn’t rush me and answered every question until I had no other. 4 PM this afternoon I called A-1 to repair my garage door after backing out and my car got too close to shelves which blocked door from closing. Technician Cody was here about 6:30 and fixed my hung door. Cody was excellent!! He was very thorough, courteous and explained everything so I could understand. Made an appointment for a garage door install to be done first thing in the morning of the day. I confirmed the appt via their text and got a call an hour later from the installer. He left a message asking for a call back and do I called the number back twice that afternoon and got no answer. The morning of the install no one showed up so I called an hour after the start time trying to find out when someone was coming. Couldn’t get ahold of someone so I left a message. No one called me back so I called them an hour later to find out they weren’t coming and needed to reschedule. This is 2.5 hours after they were supposed to show up and no one could contact me? Super disappointed.

Was it dishonest cheating or just unethical to overcharge me? If I was charged $250 for labor, I would not be complaining. I’ve got an invoice that shows I got charged $268.23 for a set of 10 garage door rollers that sell on Amazon for $23.89. Labor was a separate line. Can’t find my account? No. Either didn’t try or found me and didn’t want to address the issue with me directly. I am not hard to find.

I loved his character and optimistic personality and he extensively provided me with the information on my existing pull system, which by experience so far I would have had to get fixed again in the next year or 2 for another $500, and I was more than happy to go with his recommendation for my new life time no worries guaranteed warranty he installed right then and there. Payment plans available for 12 or even 24 months with no interest which is phenomenal. Even if you don’t pay it off before the deadline, which my total was $1,146.46, they won’t add the interest from the initial total like others do so if something comes up and you’re not able to finish paying and only have a little left to pay off? They only add the interest to your existing amount. Thanks again Justin!!!!

Coy told me that instead of doing just the tune up, I could get new, better rollers with the tune up for about $40 more. Thats a no brainer! Now my door sounds much better! Mike and Joey did an excellent job installing and recommending the right lift master. Very professional and very punctual. Previous technicians werent as knowledgeable about maintenance for the door and installed lesser quality parts. A1 gets 5 stars because of Mikes attention to detail and overall care for his customer.

These guys were great. They showed up when they said, and gave me a heads up call. Then Coy the tech assessed my door which was pretty old and said he’d do his best to make it work better since I couldn’t afford to replace the whole unit and motor. When he and Colton were done, I was amazed, it was such a huge improvement and ran so smoothly. They really know their stuff. Three thumbs up if I had an extra thumb!

Our garage door started making a horrible noise, and it wouldnt close all the way until we manually closed it. I called for service on Saturday and they were able to fit me in today on Sunday. My husband might have been able to fix it, but he is currently in Texas working disaster relief from the arctic storm.Coy was wonderful! My appointment time was 1-6 pm, but he was able to come by 1130 or so. He had our door springs fixed in around an hour. I appreciated him explaining what could have caused it, and why. And what to look for in the future. And offering different options for repair. He fixed problems we didnt know of from our previous replacement install.Will definitely call them if we ever need another garage door repair! Definitely recommend!

Mr Justin English came out to my place and had absolutely 0 Cust service skills, very arrogant and me personally just RUDE, after telling me the garage door open i purchased was useless and wouldn’t work, and that he had the perfect 1 on his truck ready for install, for a whopping $1700 parts and labor !! After i told him that i would need to get a 2nd quote, he throws his arm in the air and tell me I’ll get what i pay for ! Which i did, i called Winkler Garage door in Shawnee Ok, they quoted me $620 for the exact model# parts & labor & tax incl @ the $620 so guess who won’t ever hear from me or my family & friends !!! A-1 Garage door donkeys ! If Mr English would’ve done some more fact finding he would’ve realized that I’m far from stupid “you can’t take advantage of me “ I’ve done retail sales for 20 plus years !!! DON’T USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU LIKE YOUR $$ call Winkler Garage Door in Shawnee Ok !!! Great prices & quality work !!!

I had my garage door replaced a few years ago by A1, I had to call A1 to come and make repairs twice for the rollers and for the springs and for the bar which connects the garage opener. They are not honest when telling you about the parts, which are cheaply made and need to be replaced with more cheap parts which keeps them in your pocket! Called Precision Garage Door to remedy the 3rd problem, faulty springs and my door would not come up at all, which has been the problem previously.A1 wanted to replaced all 10 rollers on the track, replace track on both sides of the garage door and wanted to replace the spring for over $1,800. I should not be having these many issues with my garage door unless the parts are CHEAP! My garage door is double and should have 2 springs on it because of the weight, the technician did not tell me that was the cause of the problems for the constant repairs. STAY AWAY FROM A1 GARAGE, THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND THEIR TECHNICIANS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CORRECTLY INSTALL GARAGE DOORS, ESPECIALLY 2-CAR GARAGE DOORS!

He obtained all necessary info and had an email sent with all appointment confirmation info before we even got off the phone. The day of the appointment, I received a call about an hour before the time window of my appointment, advising that my service tech would be contacting me shortly to notify his arrival. Colton aka OKC Colton H did just that. He arrived shortly after the call and was very professional and helpful. Colton was very thorough with his work and inspection and even fixed another issue with the garage door motor, after replacing the broke spring. Colton was very professional and friendly. Customer services were good. Prices a little more expensive, compared to other Garage door services. I asked Coy the technician, why are they much more expensive. He stated better quality parts, providing longer warranty. Time will tell! After receiving my quote, on all that I needed, upon coming to an agreement. I purchased the equipment. with 1/2 down and remaining balance once installed. The issue that I have is that is once I got the invoice. It hadnt updated my remaining balance. Because of supposedly the garage door is a third party. Coy explain that the system takes time to update. I feel once the customer has done their part. There should be no issues of an invoice not being updated with the correct amount owed. I have another comment, I noticed that my garage door is not sealed,from the outside, you can see into the garage, during the daylight hours from the inside, you can also see light from not being sealed. Now there is issues with my garage door opener. The LED sensor is out, had to call Chamberlain customer services to order another part. I also have loose hanging wires from my garage door running from the garage door sensors. I believe this will be taken care, until then, this is my rating. Thanks
