This local Southside pawn shop, by far surpasses all the big name hock shops! I had passed this store hundreds of times and always wanted to go shop or do business with them but always found myself taking offers from there competitors, until today! I was insulted by an offer I received from ez pawn on a valuable desirable tool, it was heavy and they thought I would take the low offer simply because I wouldnt want to load it back up...well I did and I thought to myself try neighbor hood pawn! They have a huge window store front and seen they had a great inventory and deal in alot of different items! When I walked into the store I was greeted and approached respectfully, I told the nice girl I was shopping and I had an item to pawn...she let me browse and told me to bring the tool in when I was ready! When I did I asked for the same amount I requested at ez pawn...I got no hesitation from the boss man and he actually gave me a better deal than the tool was worth I was ecstatic! bills gotta get paid and they help me tremendously! GIVE THIS SHOP A CHANCE!!! I promise they will help u out too! Good people and great experience!

The staff was very friendly, but they sold me a Kobalt pole saw and hedger for $120 and told me there are no refunds. I get them home and the pole saw will not cut and stops running after 3 or 4 minutes. Makes me feel like they knew it didnt work. Why else would they say no refund? Shouldve known better I guess.

I stopped and looked around this pawn shop while in OKC right after my motorcycle crash. We decided we could do some business on some extremely heavy speakers and with my left side crushed it was impossible for me to do much. But Brenda, the clerk I dealt with on the stuff I got said she would make sure it got handled properly. I assumed she would have some of the others assist her but to my surprise she went right out to my pickup with every bit of a hundred pounds of speakers in tow and before I could hobble to the door she was done. Thank you Brenda for your help and for your kindness. Great businesses are built with people like you. As a small business owner myself I want to tell the management there if Brenda is your employee promote her, give her a raise, whatever you gotta do to keep her around. Had a great experience here! Was looking for a specific make/model of a handgun and stumbled across this shop online. The Google reviews were so high that I knew I had to at least pop in and check them out. I had an hour to spend before dinner meeting the family for dinner, so I stopped in. Akeem was quick to greet me when I entered and we spent the next hour talking about different brands and designs and even got into a conversation about the Lord (the MOST important conversation we can have in this life.) I left that evening knowing that even though I could purchase the same firearm for less at a gun dealer, I had to go back and do business with these people.I came back that weekend, intending to talk them down to a specific price and found the handgun to already be on sell for that price. It was during this visit that I met the owner and his wife. During the transaction process we had great conversation and it felt more like a visit than a business transaction. We, too, talked about the Lord and even shared Gospel Tracts with each other. Everything was smooth and effortless and I left with exactly what I came for and paid exactly what I expected to pay.Throughout both visits, I noticed multiple people coming in and out and interacting with the staff on a first-name basis. Its obvious that this place is more than a business and is looking to make friends first and customers second.Great place, great people and great reputation!!

I must say I was not disappointed at all, They were very nice and fair people to deal with. A sweet little girl by the name of Jocelyn took care of me, She was very nice and professional. Nicest pawn shop I’ve ever been to! Clean and well organized. Went in to look at handguns but didn’t find what I was looking for. They took down the model of handgun I wanted and said they’d look for one for me and call me if they saw one. Bought some dvds that were on sale and had a nice conversation with one of the managers while I was looking around. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area. Everyone at the store was friendly, respectful and seemed to enjoy being there. Some of the other pawn shops I’ve been to recently need to come here and learn what customer service and professionalism means.

This is the best kept pawn shop I have ever encountered, friendly staff, great atmosphere its almost like oneself feels at home. Was wanting to get a guitar, and the store had almost the exact one I wanted. It was a such a good deal, I was perfectly fine with what I got, and Ive been enjoying it ever since. Enrique did a great job with helping me decide, and he even tested it out for me! Hes a talented guitar player as well :) Would definitely go back and do business with them.

Its a good pawn shop but the older lady needs better customer service she didnt even know what a vintage saw looks like. But besides that overall staff is pretty great.

This is my favorite pawn shop in the city. The staff is super friendly, and fun to talk to. Akeem is the guy i usually work with and hes always knowlegable about the products I ask about OR he helps me with the research and gives honest opinions about the quality of merchandise. As an electrician I have to use quality tools. Neighborhood Pawn has a great selection of name brand tools that are fairly priced. My experience was great! They had exactly what I needed and I will look there first before going to the big box stores to purchase tools. Great value!
