Asking customers to wear a mask is one thing in itself, I get it no biggie. But to go above and beyond and interject your opinions on how a mask should be worn is another.Ive been coming here almost daily for a little over 10 years now. You have lost a customer and most likely many more as word of mouth is the best advertisement.

Although this is the closest grocery store to our house, we only go for about 10% of our grocery trips. This is solely because they are pretty expensive. Not Whole Foods expensive but Olympia expensive for sure.Their biggest strength is having a lot of incredible specialty and local options all over the store that are hard to find anywhere else.So 5 stars it is! We dont go often, but when we do, we leave happy!P.S. The boardwalk on the water right outside their doors doesnt hurt either. That stroll in the summer can make you feel better about how much groceries cost these days.

Great location, friendly place and people, good selection of items. I like the whole layout inside and overall look of the place outside. Italian Grinder was great 👍, local places seem to be getting their product on the shelves for sale, which I like! On the water, just need a couple of these businesses to get involved in helping and building the community not just turning a profit!🧩🎶🙏✍️💯🌬️🗺️✨💫😷🎱🦜😁🤝

The store itself is always clean and the produce is fresh! Customer service is top quality as well. Today I went in for a London Fog Latte. The two employees at the coffee bar are new and the one making my drink was very transparent that she was new and had never made one before. They both did a great job. One of the best London Fog lattes Ive had. THANK YOU!

Wonderful local Olympia grocery store. The folks at the deli were wonderful and very helpful. I like that they have an excellent alcohol section and all of the wine were organized and easy to purchase. Fruits and vegetables were fresh and display very nicely. We also appreciate that they had a large amount of holiday decorations and Foods. The store was very clean and very organized. I give the Bayview Thriftway five stars

I stopped in for a quick trip just to pick up some veggies for dinner. The worker in produce named Peyton was awesome, he showed me around and helped me pick out the best looking product. Store was very clean with a large variety of different produce.

Its okay. It has expensive food. I Feel Like a Stranger in a Strange Land every time I walk in this place. Theres a unique feeling of unwelcome specifically to here that besides a couple of awkward experiences is pretty pervasive.

In over 18 months of COVID Ive never encountered an employee too unintelligent to check IDs while safely wearing a mask. Until today at Bayview. Demanding customers remove their masks is the most backwards ignorant policy I have come across. I will not be back to be price gouged if you cant even respect the desire of your customers to wear their mask just as they do in every other setting where proof of age is required.

Apricots were the best Ive ever had. Try the Italian sandwich.

Mothers Day luncheon with my son was fantastic! Great deli selection with made to order fresh sandwiches. Wonderful view in the tower seating area. 5 star all the way around!

The deli is delicious and theres a good wine selection. Prices are higher than an average grocery store though. Lots of specialty products and gourmet foods are available. I shop here for hard-to-find ingredients. Also, I usually carry a backpack because I travel by public transportation. If you wear one into this store, youll be approached by security. But it seems ok to bring reusable grocery bags.

At your own risk! Meat department holds manipulated chicken 10 days. Um, nope! They got my family sicker than sick over this. Stay away unless you like food poisoning.

Local neighborhood grocery vibe. They are very friendly and staff will make you feel your a neighbor. Noticed that they usually know the patrons there. Bit of a higher scale grocery though.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but this morning the store manager, who has checked me out several times in the past year, decided to comment on my dog. I asked for, and got permission, to bring him in with me (hes very well behaved), and have never had an issue before. I guess now that the pandemic is winding down, were back to deterrent practices. Shame on you, Thriftway, Ive been a loyal customer since I moved here.

Ive been shopping here since I was a teenager, its still one of the nicest stores downtown Olympia area. Everyone is always helpful and friendly.

Shopping at Bayview Thriftway is not just an adventure its a fun Friday night for my wife & I. We show up with no idea what we are going have for dinner that night we grab some flowers as we walk in .Wife go one way I go the other .We meet compare notes & pick out the dinner .Wonderful Cheese & crackers to start, One Chicken Gordon Blue to split (just made), A Vics pizza to cook at home & we add fresh mushrooms .She grabs a bottle of wine & I get some beer Ive never tried before(huge selection).What a place.

Nice scenic grocery spot sitting on the edge of downtown. It has almost everything one can need for a quick trip for essentials or a nice treat.

Picked up some Fischer Scones. Couldnt wait till the fair. The scones are so good.

I visit this store everytime Im in town. Great selection of cool things, even if the prices can be higher than other places, it just feels good to explore and shop.Especially like their fudge and beer selections.

This grocery is probably the best all-around experience you would want in a grocery store. They have cooking classes (available again after COVID, I presume) and an array of local offerings that you wont find elsewhere .

My husband and I stay in olympia at least once to twice a month. We do lots of business here and love the variety in products . However the last few times we visited later in the evening we were literally followed around the store as if we were going to steal. Not once but twice! We dont appreciate it and please dont make yourselves any more obvious.

Clean facility. Great selection of items, especially in deli section. Has a really cute gift area where presents can be purchased and wonderful selection of cards. Only main grocery in downtown but still has a great parking area that you can always find a spot in. Staff is helpful.

I only stopped in this store due to needing an address for Uber. The store is nice with several unique and local foods. They also let me use the bathroom.

The employee that runs the fish section was absolutely wonderful. He went out of his way to try and help me find Tempura fish flour. Where do you get that kind of service? Well not at Walmart or Winco thats for sure. I love both Ralphs and Bayview grocery.

Prices are high and selection is limited but the people are friendly.

Was trying to support the downtown local businesses and we were there to help support the business. We were treated badly and followed thru the store and like we were going to do something wrong. When we were going to spend money there.

Went in to get my gf some flowers. Very fresh and they lasted over two weeks.

Very wheelchair accessible. Also such a friendly staff. We were from out of towne and they kindly told us of local things to see and do. Personally I thought the prices were a bit high. Oh, and they have a small waterfront table setting and deli. So we had a waterfront lunch and watched it snow. GREAT little store.

Place is over priced and they are judgmental they follow around the store if they think u are homeless it like racial profiling its just wrong

Its a cool store that has a little bit of everything. Good place for unique gifts and such. Employees are friendly, prices are on the higher side of things and they do battle dealing with the homeless population on a daily basis.

My food wasnt good I bout chicken and mac ewwww but my aloe vera was good

Bayview is on my way home from work, so its super convenient. Its a little on the pricey side, but the store is really nice. Walking in is welcoming with the local coffee joint and flowers to greet you. The produce is fresh, the deli is spectacular and all the staff are really nice. In honesty, I believe the nicest butcher in the world works there (not exaggerating one bit - hes wonderful). Tell him I said hi if you stop in!
