They have a really nice selection local craft beers but really make this place special is that you get one of rotating craft beers from wall of coolers. Its like going to total wine but its cold and you drink it right away or take it home with you. The patio is really nice and you can see the marina.

The beer case selection ebbs and flows for what my personal tastes align with, but over the past few years theres been great improvements to the outdoor seating, to their on tap beer selection (which is always great) and the addition of pizza to the menu. If youre someone who appreciates access to a variety of drinks, Oly Taproom is a good fit for you

Garbage! I was treated indifferently bc I didn’t have a mask when I entered, even though nobody around me were wearing masks besides the two couples in line a ahead of my wife and I. There were approximately 20 other people in the taproom with no mask but they had a beer… after being rudely criticized about a mask I put one on, only to then have a gentleman and his friends with no masks cut me in line. The bartender happily helped them. When I brought up the issue I was told I could leave for causing a scene. Then on my way out a lady inside started yelling at me, she was told nothing. I will never be back….

I love this place they have really good selection of hard cider, sour ales and sometimes even smoothie sours. The workers are always cool to talk with but the lines get long sometimes quick and it does take awhile to buy your beer sometimes so be prepared

My favorite place to grab a beer on a sunny afternoon and sit outside on the bar with a book, a journal, or some good company. Always a great selection on draft, plus lots of bottled and canned options to choose from. Their pizza is house made and its bomb!

Both indoor and outdoor seating available (be sure to check up stairs if you dont see any seats available) with dogs allowed outside as well. Heaters at pretty much every outdoor seating area was a nice touch. Small food menu of pizza and a few other options. I saw other people also bringing their own food in as well. Small draft selection, I believe it may usually be larger as it seemed like a number of the available taps were empty. Many bottle and can options available as well for to go or to drink there with varying corkage fees associated.

Been here quite a few times in the last year. Never had a bad experience. Staff is friendly and theres always something good on tap.

Stopoed here for a work day meeting. The space is nice and cool, outdoor seating to with a street view. There is also an upstairs with games and extra tables. They have beer on tap here as well as a very large cooler full of all kinds of unique beers that you can purchase for here or to go. They will open it for you to drink on site. Only downside of this place was there were no outlets in the downstairs at all and just a few upstairs. Also all of the seating is wooden bench or metal so if you are going to be here for a long time you are going to want to bring a sweater to sit on. I had the banana bread ale in a can and it was good.

There is a great selection of beverages for everyone. Staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. Pizza is good and outdoor seating is so enjoyable!

No WiFi. Fantastic selling point. I did not have food but the beer was rich and tasty...Black Raven. It will put hair on your second digits. It was a tad chilly outside and inched the carefully placed Covid bar stools closer to the heater. Bring a coat or two as cold beer, alcohol dilated capillaries and the chilled air of downtown require advance planning.

This is a great taproom and bottle shop. Good crowd. Great staff. You should definitely give it a try.

Eh.. what can be said. Decent beers, terrible wait staff. Caroline was my server. Pizza delivered, under cooked and without napkins or plates. I went to bring in the extra pizza she said well theres a trash can over there and a bus tray. Gee..thanks. I guess at this place you are the server and bus boy. I didnt want to take any home but she could have taken it and said thanks. She freaked out when I took off my mask so she could understand me. I get it, but if you cant understand me and you are behind a Plexiglas shield. Calm down. This will be my only visit here.

As always the Taproom goes above and beyond. Extra outside seating, pleasant knowledgeable staff and plenty of beers to choose from. Plus Puppies!! (Dogs are allowed outside.)

Good reliable selection. Small menu of decent food, including one of the best gluten free pizza that Ive found. (And they allow you to bring in non-menu food.) Staff do their job, but rarely seem happy about it or friendly, if thats important to you. (I normally only visit on a certain day off the week, evening, FWIW)

This place has always been my place for a tasty beer. They usually carry my favorite Belgian beers too. Absolutely love the outdoor area and the improvements!

Outstanding selection, 14 taps that are always rotating. The cooler selection is massive, but the knowledgeable staff is certainly willing to help you make a selection you will enjoy. Excellant place to pick up a wide selection of brews to be enjoyed there or in your home. Seating to be had, and music is at a delightfully comfortable level. The ramp to get in is a very easy to wheel grade.

Awesome spot in downtown Oly. Great view of the harbor! The selection changes periodically, so there is always something new to try. They make pizza also, which I have not had yet. I like that they have a good mix of stouts and lagers in addition to IPAs. There is also a huge cooler section of beer so you can find something to take home! Outdoor seating for nice days also

Love the atmosphere! Plenty of board games to play and a nice pnw feel. Right next to the Oly harbor. They allow outside for so you can grab a bite from a food truck and bring it here too enjoy a drink and conversation.

Great selection of beers on tap plus lots in cans/bottles! Theyve got a few really good gluten free beers and the gluten free pizza is amazing. Had the salami and pepperoncini one and it was a thick fluffy but crunchy crust, I almost didnt believe it was gluten free! Staff is friendly, the patio is excellent and dog friendly. Love going here.

The beer I had was tasty. What I like most is that the bartender understood we were trying new beers and without us asking, he pulls out a shot glass and pours my gf a small taste of what she was thinking about ordering. Loved that! She liked it so much, we bought some to go! Small seating area, and thats ok cuz its not a nightclub. The indoor/outdoor seating is very comfortable and quaint. This trip I didnt geta chance to try any food, however I will be coming back to do so. I recommend! We had a nice pleasant visit this afternoon 😁😎💯

Meh...seems decent, but it would be nice to get a taster tray. But its Friday and Im told We dont do them on weekend nights because it gets kinda busy after 5. Its currently 3:45 and theres maybe 12 people in here. Always a good business plan to be as unaccommodating to a first time customer as you can be. Lots of other places to get beer though.

Local treat! This is a great place to meet with friends or play a board game with your spouse. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and great rotating selection of beers & ciders. You can bring food from outside or order simple pizza or salad at Taproom. Im a cider lover and this place has something new Ive never seen every time. Our new go-to place!

Let me tell you, Ive walked up and down downtown for years. Oly Taproom is my favorite spot downtown. Not just for the beautiful view of the sunset on warm summer nights with a beer in hand, but for the friendly staff willing to go beyond yo serve you a good product. Will always go back to Oly Taproom.

Id always wanted to go to this place & finally did. Great drink options & the food was so wonderful. Menu is limited, but still good food. I was surprised they did not have more seating, but we were fine.

Great beer selection that rotates all the time and beautiful atmosphere with plenty of room to sit and relax when the upstairs area is open. Preston, Dustin and Erik(c?)a, the bartenders, are fantastic folks and keep us coming back. The pizza is really good and worth the steeper price, in my opinion. If you dont have time to sit and try what they have on draft, stop in and make your own six-pack to go! Check this place out during the week, if you want to avoid the masses.

Really enjoyed the beer and pizza. The gluten free pizza really surprised me, it was almost like a deep dish and VERY good. I wish I could bring the kiddos, but I know thats not for everyone.

I love this place. They always have a great selection of beer, and the staff is super friendly. This is one of my favorite places to sit and chat with my boyfriend. Sam, Levi, and Tiff are the best! They are fun, relaxed, and know beer. The pizza is a great dinner also. I recommend stopping in!

Love how they use small batch kegs, so their taps are constantly rotating enabling you to try new brews. Cooler selection is also great! Pizza is small, but delicious.

Good place to hang out. And its fun to try different types of beer they have and their service is above average for Olympia. However, one thing that really doesnt make sense is their closing time - especially on weekends. They close at either 10pm or 11pm. Its a tap room...

Great selection of taps, bottles and reasonable prices. I dont know why others complained about the service, but the bartenders seemed to be some of the most friendly I have ever met anywhere. Of course, anyone gauging the friendliness of staff on a very busy Friday or Saturday night is not being entirely fair.. Anyway, I like this place, it felt warm, friendly and I enjoy the large selection of reasonably price beers. IT is not as huge as Chucks Hop Shop in Seattle, but it does have a much more comfortable atmosphere and staff are much friendlier. Also, the prices are lower than Chucks Hop Shop for the bottles.

My friends and I met here for our monthly beer and board game night. The guys working the bar were really friendly, the beer selection was fantastic, the pizza was tasty, and the service was really fast.We all agreed that a bit larger selection of food would be good, but we appreciate them keeping things simple, too. All in all, love this place.
