Very friendly fast service that will go far above and beyond whats expected to help you find what your looking for, didnt find a way to get the whiskey I was looking for but it definitely was not from a lack of effort by multiple employees, fallowed by helping me to find the next best thing! Wish I could remember names but all around a great job!

Nice and clean, friendly, helpful employees. We recently returned from an extended road trip and were looking for a new favorite - Lagunitas Hop, a refreshing NA beer. Although I didnt have much hope finding it (had only found it in border states) they had it in good supply. Great to find that theyre keeping up with the relatively new-found love affair with non-alcohol drinks!

What a refreshing experience! This store is back to the old way of having lots of products, knowledgeable people, and a really positive feel. Even when telling them on the phone or mid-Oregon to see about some MacEwains Scotch Ale, they set a case aside without skipping a beat. From Salem to Olympia was an easy drive knowing the beer was there and waiting. Six Stars for the very good store of EVERYTHING!

Great place to get a large selection of wine and spirits. BEWARE that almost ALL suggestions by staff are Total Wine brands they are required to push which are usually slightly lower in quality.

Fabulous store. Well laid out. Easy to find what you want among the well-labeled isles and sections. Going down the beer aisles are some of the hardest choices. Making your own 6 pack is a great use for trying out new drinks. The spirits section is also quite robust with lots of choices.

Pretty much everything you would want. Really. Unless you have some crazy-specific need for a far-away regional specialty. Except they dont carry 100% juice Ruby Red grapefruit juice. Thats so serious it merits a reduction by one star in my rating. Consider that my effort against grade inflation here on Google.

I came in to do some label design research for my own bottled beverage company and the staff here was very helpful. I believe one gentlemans name was Pete. He helped me find certain bottles in the store that fulfilled the design aspects that i was researching for my own bottle. I must have looked quite disheveled that day, so I appreciate that the staff did not give me a hard time

I used to like going to this store, was a monthly regular buying sake in bulk. During my last trip however, a Cashier accused me of buying booze for minors based souly on the fact that my partner (who is 20) was at the store with me. She then quoted store policy that booze cant be sold to anyone with underaged company unless they are parents. A policy far more restrictive than actual state or federal requirements. Although I can respect stores having their own policies, it was absolutely unprofessional for a staff member of wine and more to make criminal accusations based on store philosophy. Will not return.Edit: Although I appreciate the store owners reply, it failed to address the actual review. The issue isnt that store policy is more restrictive than state or federal laws. Thats solved by going to a competitor. The issue is staff members accusing customers of breaking state or federal laws when not in accordance with store policy. Thats amazingly bad customer service.

I have found myself asking for help, getting the help I need and still getting caught up in conversation with lots of their staff. They arent over talkative, if you hint you want to go they instantly understand. Overall they hire great staff who is very knowledgable about their products.

We went with coupons in hand to maximize our spending dollars. We purchased a few wines we knew we liked and a few from the tasting tables. A chardonnay and a rose were purchased while the Scotch will be next visit. A very smooth single malt scotch

This is the best shop to go to for alcoholic beverages. They have a wonderful selection for everything. There is always someone to make great suggestions and you cant beat the prices.

Staff was very helpful until we realized that they were following us through the store, and then someone came over to the register to see what we put on the conveyor to ensure that we werent staling(they didnt do to anyone else while we were in the store). Pretty good place, the non alcoholic stuff is kind of all over the place, but considering what the store is fine, its all good. They also have inconsistent ID practices if you are 21ish.BUT the staff are very helpful and nice.

This place is fun. Love the selection. The cigars we purchased were dry and fell apart so the humidor is hit and miss. I went back and spent a lot of time pinching cigars and found some good ones. I usually go to Cigar Daddys and The Brothers as well as purchase via mail. The rest of the store is amazing well organized and clean.

I recently visited Total Wine in Olympia looking for the perfect drink for a romantic New Year Eves dinner. One of your employees, Charles, came up to me and asked how he could help. He asked me some questions and when I indicated my date was an Irish Cream guy, Charles steered me to Five Farms Irish Cream emphasizing the high quality taste and smell. He knows his stuff! The cream was superb and my guy was very pleased with my choice of aperitif. I have to say that it was excellent and was a great complement to the meal we prepared. I was happy with the choice Charles guided me to. Without his guidance, I would have gone with the only brand of Irish Cream I am familiar with.Charles also shared with me some possible white wine pairings. I was very impressed with the knowledge and customer service or your employees. I would definitely shop there again and ask for Charles.A happy customer!

I hade yet to brave one of these, I figured it would not have anything I would need. Boy was I happy, they not only have red and white wine glass selection but they carry Pinot NIor glasses. Not to mention a good selection of decanters, and port glasses for those who enjoy a glass now and then. I was also impressed by Ash the gentleman who helped me, because he actually knew the difference between red glasses and Nior glasses. He then showed me the amazing bar ware they had. I have not seen that type of quality of strainers, muddlers, wine keys, etc in years. I would have loved to spend hours just in that section.I just happened to stop in on New Years Eve, and Ash directed me to a $25 bottle of Champagne from Champagne, it was probably the best part of my New Years Eve. I then had I believe it was Steve (sorry if I got his name wrong) a wonderful spirits expert especially when it comes to Tequila actually find me a true agave Tequila, and if you have had one of those, especially in Mexico, you cant drink the fake stuff ever again.Give this a place a stop even if you dont know what you need they will help you figure it out.

I have participated in many wine tastings at Total Wines and they have all been very informative and interesting. However, recently we had the opportunity to participate in a tasting with Ash. He was a very knowledgeable and candid guide. He gave excellent in depth information about each wine and spirit being displayed. Everyone in our group tasting agreed that Ash gave us such excellent recommendations that we will continue to come back to Total Wine to seek his advice for all our future purchases. Thanks Ash!
