One of Omaha‘s hidden gems right here! So many people live here their whole lives and don’t know what a great facility we have in our backyards. Staff is awesome and very knowledgeable about their products. If you’re into racing RC cars you have to check out the racing program it’s top-notch.

Cameron is the go to guy here for repairs. I knew nothing about what is was doing. He took time to explain in a very professional manner ( the way business waz done once apone a time not long ago.)

Outstanding customer service, advice, product availability and pricing. Im getting back into the RC hobby after 20 some years out and every time I go in these guys steer me in the right direction. Customer service? On a super busy Friday night - when they had races - the manager (I found out later, when I realized hes the host of their podcast that Ive been listening to) spent a good 10 minutes finding the right ladder to get up to the new truck I was buying for my son to race. Just an example of the service Ive been getting here. I live in Lincoln but work a couple days a week in Omaha, so its great that I get to go here. Even if I didnt - their pricing matches or beats anywhere online plus you get the added customer service. 90 minutes of driving beats waiting a couple days.Oh and their tracks are awesome and very welcoming to beginners. Just overall a fantastic experience and you can tell the staff are passionate about what they sell.

Very rude staff. They make you feel like your bothering them if you ask a question. Waited 20 minutes to check out while 3 employees stood and looked right at me. I bought a Blade 120 S2 from them that lasted 5 minutes then the rear rotor quit. Called them and got told they won’t do anything. I guess with their no refund policy they can sell junk and get away with it. Hobby Town used to be the best. Now they are more like worst.11-1-21Another run in with them and another poor experience.

This is a top notch place. Several tracks to race on, lots of pits, the hobby shop is expansive. The tracks are quite big too. We drove here from California and it was definitely worth the trip. Friendly staff too. Definitely check this place out

Made an online order Sunday morning @ 845 expecting it to be ready shortly after they opened at noon. Waited until 2pm with no notice. Went to store and was told weekend orders arent done until Monday. So we picked our order off the shelves and checked out. Cashier was helpful in making sure we had the right products for what we were getting. Very polite and friendly.

I love this place that helps to fill my model needs. They also deal alot with RC planes that are really neat, there are also RC car races that I see alot of people go to however me personally I like the wide variety of Gundam models. The prices here and like no other. So go on down its a really great place; you wont regret it.

I purchased my b6.2d from the plex after stumbling upon Alex’s show on YouTube and realizing we have one of the best stores/tracks in the US in our beautiful little town of Omaha.After watching nearly all of the hobby plex shows on YouTube it is hard to not appreciate what is going on at the plex and how much effort Alex puts into his work and how available he makes himself to answer any questions you have about your RC car/truck/plane.Needless to say, every interaction I’ve had at the store has been great - I pieced together my first race car, soup to nuts via hobby town. After all, why not support where you race, it only makes sense.We are lucky to have people like Alex and the rest of the crew at hobby town keeping rc alive and sharing the knowledge.

Very cool place to go i door tracks they have are cSuper cool. They have a really good assortment of items big and small. Not a huge assortment of models but almost anything rc related they have. Most of the staff is knowledgeable but some of them have their specialty items and ramble on when asked a question about something he didnt know. But it was a great place

My son absolutely loves coming here. We just started into the RC car hobby and bought him a starter car. It was a but expensive but he absolutely loves it. I took him today to race on the dirt track and he broke the front end of his car. The staff at Hobby Town were very helpful in looking at it. We are having them fix it for us. Wonderful place to visit to find great gifts and have fun!

Made a trip up from des Moines Iowa to check things out was not disappointed great selection of everything and had a blast on the race track and some fun out with the crawler going to have to come back after I fix the scx10 iii

Nice place to shop for rc stuff bought RC boat here was lied told they came in 50%charged the boat was dead out box was lucky barely had enough juice make it back shore after tossed in water expecting it take I charged it for over 12 hrs the boat got maybe 20 mins run time wondering if its battery issue at this time...

This place is awesome! I got an RC car put together and customized by a very talented man in Wichita to give to my grandson for his birthday. I went to Omaha to give it to him and his dad. I called ahead to HobbyTime HobbyPlex to ask if we could come in and have someone go over the car and get them started. I spoke with Cameron, who was very welcoming and informative. We met at the store and found Cameron, who went over everything in detail. The store has all sorts of RC items - cars, planes, trucks - and everything under the sun to build or modify them. There are race tracks, indoor asphalt and dirt track, plus what looked like obstacle courses. I was amazed at all the work areas for customers to work on their RCs. It is a whole subculture! The guys will be able to go in and run the car on the dirt track to learn how to run his car and race it. A great bonding experience for my grandson and his dad.

This is about the 3rd time that i have gotten rude service like i did something wrong by asking simple questions. I was perplexed by the fact that i ama customer and was getting attitude like i was employee not doing there job. Not sure what the issue is but its not a good feeling when you have to go somewhere and dread the thought of communicating with these people. If i knew how to do there job then why are they there.

Normally always a good experience, but today was different. Had bought a mini quadcopter for my sons birthday and within a month & only 6 plus charges the five Lipo batteries went bad. Instead of exchanging and swapping out the defective batteries I was told to reach out to the vendor and see if they could replace them. And the guy looked at me like it was my fault. For the $1500 plus I have spent with them trying to support the local hobby shop might be out the window. Sorry for the bad review Hobby Town but you need to step up your customer service. $25 in batteries and not take care of your customer...........

Really neat store with lots of different types of hobby gear. Indoor race track can be seen from the retail space and was fun to watch all of the folks building their rc cars and racing on the track.

Like this store a bit more than their papillon location. They have a RC car track!... But of like me youre not into that they have a lot of stuff, including stuff the other store didnt carry. One thing about the store (or both of them) the staff is courteous polite and helpful, but they do not seem to go out of their way to help customers. And thats ok for me as I have a good idea what I am looking for when I go in. One other thing to note...like most brick and mortar stores the prices are a little high on just about everything and some items are well above internet pricing.I am not subtracting from the overall rating because of this, as this is to be expected with brick-and-mortar stores. I find no fault in a company trying to make a few bucks over an internet company. I fell this way because they offer the convenience of actually having a storefront where I can go pick things up, look at them, and make my purchase on the spot vs just looking at a picture.

I love the help and the track. To add on to this after a year I think they should have a out door track too but mostly for 1/8 scale because the dirt track is pretty small for 1/8 scale. And a track that you can run slicks on so I dont have to buy tires as often just foams. But the carpet track is pretty good just a little small for 1/10 scale.

42 but amazingly enough the minute I walked through that door Im like 12 years old and in hog heaven.... Seriously got every damn thing Id ever want to do under one roof.Its a blessing that my wife puts me on a short leash when I I go there otherwise I can blow my entire paycheck .....they got so many cool things

I cant get enough of this place... Mostly because I have expensive hobbies and they carry most everything I need on hand.The guys are friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. They dont talk to people new to the hobby like children, but do a great job of explaining things to them in a way most people understand. They always have great suggestions. Theyre very family friendly. The indoor space is nice.And theyre often less expensive than ordering the same thing online!

It should be noted that despite being under the HobbyTown brand, for some reason this store does NOT carry Games Workshop products, and their range of other miniature gaming, modern card gaming, and board game products are very limited. Their selection of regular model kits is not very impressive either.However, if you are into the R/C scene then this is definitely the place for you.

This place has a lot going on!Theyve got a ton of stuff for all kinds of hobbies and even some science kit stuff for kids. They clearly specialize in remote control cars, crawlers, planes and quadcopters.The staff is always helpful and friendly and they are very patient in helping folks get into their respective hobbies.They also have a dirt track and indoor carpeted track along with indoor and outdoor crawler courses to use your RCs on!

I wish I could spend more time up there but with the kids schedules sometimes it is hard to make it. Dude at the counter was super friendly. But maybe change the name to HobbyTown: WE ONLY HAVE RC STUFF lol since literally every other hobby town Ive been to has other stuff. If youre into remote control cars this is the place. If you have any hobbies besides RC cars and model cars, and miniature vehicles in general you will be disappointed lol

RC car heaven! I love this place, and I just discovered it 2 weeks ago. They have a smooth surface track and a dirt track that are both indoors! Remote controlled cars are turning out to be a great hobby and HobbyTown is the place to be for it.

Kameron at Hobby Town really helped me out. My sons RC car was having problems and he went out of his way to help us fix it. Their local support and expertise is great. Their open track racing is good family fun as well.

Stopped in looking for a drone for our non-profit. Kevin was very helpful and gave me some pros and cons of the different models they had available. One model was super cool...but yeah, a bit outside of the budget. We decided on a good one with Altitude & GPS Hold features as well as auto-land which is good for our team as this will be flown by volunteers a good amount of the time so having something that is easy to pick up and use is important. Thanks for your help and recommendations Kevin.

Everything you need for RC. Been coming here for 15 years. The staff can get pretty grumpy and the help counter is slower than molasses. When you put all of the parts behind the counter you should have put more employees behind that counter.

Bought my Gen 8 Scout II from them yesterday. Very friendly and helpful staff! They were able to help me purchase the right charger and battery for my new truck. Have been coming to them for years, and they always have a great selection and good customer service!

They always seem to have parts that Im looking for and the prices are outstanding. However, on the 4 times that Ive been here only once was I truly helped by staff for an out of the box solution. Other times I had to research thier inventory and product via the website with my phone while standing there. Why customers cant have access to the parts and cars to examine them closely and possibly see something they might not buy otherwise is discouraging. I prefer the South Lincoln stores approach much more with easier access to see the RC parts.This stores facilities are second to none though. The indoor track setup and crawling area is really a sight to behold!
