They also helped with all the paperwork for the dealership/warranty department concerning my recall and repairs.The sales department were understanding to the fact that I live far and stayed until I arrived from Long Island to Oneonta.Everyone was kind and friendly.

Royal Hyundai went above and beyond to locate and help me to get a 2022 Tucson. I received a more than fair trade in value to make it happen. Sales staff worked hard to facilitate everything in a short period of time. The salesperson took the time to show me all features and teach me how to use the new technology which I absolutely love! I was told everyone was wearing masks. Yeah, they were except mostly down around their chins.Not sure how protecting a chin is gonna help keep others protected but that’s me. Mainly, though, I was upset to find they hadn’t bothered to put down any kind of protective cardboard or paper on the floor mat, which meant they left it muddy and streaked with oil and grease from their work boots. I expected this kind of thing at Ford but not at Hyundai. Seriously uncool and unprofessional.

For the most part my service experience was fine. However….there was a paint failure on my roof (see pic below) and the service person did a great job of documenting the issue and scheduling an appointment whereby the issue would be corrected and covered under warranty. When I dropped the vehicle I left a “sticky note” pointing to a barely visible dent nearby where the paint failure had occurred with the note saying “if you could fix this at the same time it would be awesome”. A couple of hours later I received a call indicating that the “extra” work would be $200. Hesitantly I said yes. That day I was talking to a friend of mine who has been in the auto body repair business for over 20 years with a local reputable body shop. He was very surprised that a) it wasn’t covered for free considering the inconvenience to me caused by the product not hold up as advertised (ie. the paint failure and the reason I was there in the first place) or b) at most a $50 charge. In hindsight, I should have said no. Keep my story in mind if your vehicle needs auto body repair at this facility.

I had a range of customer service experiences while trying to buy a car, and a couple were downright terrible. While I ultimately did not buy from Royal Hyundai (I couldnt pass up a price elsewhere), I wanted to take a minute to say how great the experience was with Royal. They helped me figure out what vehicles fit -- and which ones didnt -- by listening to me and answering my questions. A few test drives later and I had a solid sense of what I needed.Buying a car is such a difficult, frustrating experience that I really appreciate when people go out of their way to make it easy, and Royal Hyundai did their part to make it smooth for me. Itll be one of my first stops when Im in the market again.

I went to Royal Hyundai of Oneonta on a Saturday, 2 hours before closing, without an appointment. After test driving cars elsewhere all day.. they were my last stop. I went in with difficult questions and immediately requestinh a test drive. Christian and Joe were so understanding and kind. Sales Manager Joes knowledge is unsurpassed. They gave me factual information regarding the Santa Fes performance compared to other vehicles, along with complete warranty information. Unlike other dealerships... They were not aggressive or pushy. I found my dream car and put down a deposit until Monday when we could complete paperwork. I had so much fun with the entire crew there. Nice, genuine, normal people. The Santa Fe has THE MOST COMFORTABLE seat, the drive is so quiet and smooth. The back seat is huge and reclines. The warranty is literally the best out there. Dont believe me? Look it up. Or better yet.. call them and ask! :) when it came to the payment portion ... the finance manager played around with the numbers.. I scored 0% interest as well as 5 months deferred payment. The competence level of these guys was great. Sorry for the lengthy review.. I could go on and on. But bottom line is... if you are in the market for a new car please go see these guys! Royal also owns a jeep dealership next door. Thank you so much Joe, Christian and the rest of the crew. The service at Royal Chrysler/Hyundai is the BEST Ive ever had. They are spectacular and extremely personable. They are willing to do ANYTHING to help and make sure that you are 100% getting the best deal(without being pushy and sharing all details of your purchase). Also the service department is also great. We came into a bad situation where we needed a car in a pinch and they did EVERYTHING in their power to make sure we were satisfied. And we are more then satisfied. I HIGHLY recommend buying a car and or getting your vehicle serviced here !!!

On behalf of Erna Powers I am writing this review. The experience was not one of the best. The sales people were friendly, courteous and very helpful when the car was purchased. However, she was told she would get a second key and she noticed the rear wiper was torn and not working properly so she called the sales person and after many calls and many voice mails she never got a reply. She finally called service and talked to them about the key and the wiper and we took the car to them. The man in the service department was very rude but the man in the parts department was very friendly and helpful. They gave us the key at no charge but charged us for the wiper blade. Granted the blade only cost about $12.00 but you would think that after spending $18,000 plus on a car they would have put the wiper blade on at no charge as well. We recently took the car for the first oil change which was free and was told that it would be about 20 minutes and Im here to tell you that it was the longest oil change we have ever had done. After an hour and a half we finally got the car and were on our way. I would never buy another vehicle from Royal Hyundai of Oneonta and I would never recommend them to any one.

Poor service! Left message on website for appointment- no one responded. Went to service department told the part would take 5 days to come in, signed out. 8 days later called to check on the part and was informed that I had to prepay and then they would order part. No one said anything to me when they had me sign the service paperwork! Now I have to wait an additional 5 days and I cant use my car!!

Great customer service! Ive been a customer with Royal since 2016 when they helped me get into a safer, more reliable car in college, and ever since I have been loyal to Royal! Since then, my car recieved wonderful care in their service department and I have always appreciated the availability of a loaner car so I am not struggling to find a way to work. When I was ready for an upgrade, I knew I would be returning to Royal. I had the pleasure of working with Eric Lein, who was extremely knowledge about the vehicles I was interested in and willing to find out anything he didnt know right away. I like the service department at Royal. They are efficient, explain things clearly, and don’t try to sell you something you don’t need. What I don’t like is the fact that I get coupons in the mail for the service I have an appointment for, but the discounts aren’t automatically applied if I forget to mention or bring in the coupons. They weren’t for very much but it’s the principle of it.

Royal Hyundai has come a long way since opening at the end of 2004. Their service dept. has got it together now and is doing a very good job. Barry and Paul and service manager Rich Goodspeed work efficiently with their service tech and parts staff. The Hyundai product is gotten nothing but better since 2004, but understandable a bit more expensive. Anyway, wishing them success in the new year.

There was a tag in the window reading $6000 in rebates and my wife and I both saw it. In the finance pit the dealer said it was only 2 grand, then gave us ridiculous financing despite a 800 credit score. I am of to Fucillo tomorrow. Dealer also did not disclose the 0% financing deals. Stay away from this snake pit
