Chair return policy is unrealistic and impractical... I bought an office chair here a few days ago and the arm rest height adjustment broke. The manufacturer told me to return it to the store as it was within the 14 day return window. However, OfficeMax store manager told me I was not allowed to return the chair because I had assembled it offsite. This policy is not mentioned by staff or in writing anywhere clearly, it is obfuscated until you try and return a chair. If they give a customer a box with a chair in it, what are they expecting the customer to do? Open the the box on the store floor, assemble it right there, and then break it back down and package it up again to get it home?
The store manager is really bad at customer service. She interferes (with misinformation!) when I’m already being taken care of by a sales associate who’s helpful and informed. Or she’ll start yelling across a line of customers. I had a $100 print order go wrong on her watch, that had to be fixed by a more seasoned sales associate, and she was annoyed and rude, instead of informative and helpful.
I have to say, Josh in the printing department is absolutely amazing. I went in to get some business cards printed, and while he was not there when I did the transaction, he called me later in the day to follow up with me. He informed me about my transaction, how it was wrong up incorrectly and how he will help me iron that out in store when I come pick up the cards. I have done many prints with OfficeMax in the past few months, and will continue to print with them as long as Josh works there! Truly great customer service
FedEx shipping Fail. Told could not ship right now (unless had label already) because label printer down. Asked when it was expected to be back up. Told, uncertain, its been two weeks so far. Really?!(Not to mention, that website says Sunday pick-up and is not so. )FedEx, shame on you.
Went in for faxes and copies. Folks were so helpful and knowledgeable. Pricey but have a lot of items.
I had the pleasure of meeting an associate by the name Gene. He made my experience a lot better, very kind, and funny. Overall this office Max is one of the best Ive been to in awhile!
Selection of office-related wares was pretty typical, but the staff were amazing!
Service is great, theyre willing h to help you w anything that u need..
Some things are really expensive but they have everything you need for your office or school I highly recommend coming here
Great store overall. Affordable good customer service
Great place to pick up last minute items.
The print shop is to be avoided. Dont bother trying to coordinate with them. I was charged for color despite asking for black and white, I was in a rush after waiting for 30 minutes, so I paid anyway...but when I got home I realized they double printed everything also. So I paid $38 for what shoulda been a $10 job. Just never going back.
Office Max gets my award for biggest rip-off of the year. This store actually has the nerve to charge 25 cents per page to convert a document to a pdf format. I went to have a 170 page transcript converted and it cost well over $40. I couldnt believe it. I told the clerk it was rather pricey, since hard copies cost considerably less. She said well, it is cheaper than color copies... Of course, my transcripts were black and white, and since no paper was involved, you would think they would charge less than plain black and white copies. They should train their employees with better propaganda than it costs less than color copies to cover for their extreme overpricing. It took about 3 minutes for them to run my copies through the machine and put it on a flash drive. After all that, it didnt work when I tried to open it on my computer, in spite of the hefty pricing...On the brighter side, the print personnel have been extremely good with my printing requirements, especially Justin, who is awesome. They took the time to communicate with the court to find out the new e-filing requirements, and they really have it down at this point. I really appreciate that, even though the PDF conversion costs are excessive. In regard to their FedEx affiliation, this is what I have to say. Fedex is another bogus mailing service that treats its employees and customers like dung. I live on a rural road, and Fedex contracts its delivery services in this area out to a subcontracter, called W2LS, out of Clifton Park, that does not put snow tires on delivery trucks, making it extremely dangerous for drivers to deliver packages on rural upstate New York roads in the winter. Fedex employees have no union to negotiate safe practices by the company. Even though USPS has its faults, it at least has a union, so I suggest using them instead of UPS (which also doesnt put snow tires on its vehicles) or Fedex.
They dont sell chargers for laptop that I purchased at this location. Plus when I first walked into the store the sales person looked straight at me and walked into the office and left me standing at the counter just waiting for someone I eventually had to walk over to the office and get someone to help me.
Very good. Everyone helpful.
Friendly staff. Lots of stuff. Great prices.
Not quite the selection or prices of that other big office supply chain that Im used to, but the staff here is great.
Solid clean and well stocked. Exactly what I want from my office supply store.
Poor quality printing, could only process photos from my phone through email which effected the resolution of the images. To cut the photos its. 39 per side! REDICULOUS
We bought 5,000 copy paper for $38.99 and office max charged us $68.99
Whatever you do dont fix things here they cost an arm and a leg
Have everything I need one stop
Always great service
