Rachel greeted us upon our arrival. I was only planning on looking at cars this weekend and not buying. Also, I havent car shopped in over 20 years so, finding a car that would replace my forever car was going to be a challenge since I loved my car (yes I know, my car is old). She took in consideration what I was looking for and helped me narrow down vehicles very quickly. When asked questions about the different models of Kia, she was very knowledgeable to tell you the differences while focusing on what I was looking for in a vehicle. There is no finance guy you have to hassle with when youre ready to go, Rachel handled special requests that I had and answered all my questions before signing anything. When it came to the car hand off, Sandy asked that I inspect the vehicle to make sure it was detailed to my liking. I noticed some water spots, bird poop and other tiny dirty marks on the vehicle. She immediately rectified it and had the car taken back to service for a touch up (no biggie). Sandy was also aware that it had been 20 years since Ive had a new vehicle and that the technology in cars has changed A LOT. She took the time to go over all the safety driving features to be aware of and how to find and use the touchscreen on my car.This was literally my first car buying experience where I was in control the whole time. The customer service is 10 out of 10. Weve been to another Kia dealership 5 years ago when my fiance needed to buy a car and the quality of service we received from start to finish does NOT compare. WE WERE HARD-SOLD BY A SOFT SELLTo skip this reviews details even though they’re juicy, skip down to THE SECRETYou’ll notice right away that something is weird at Citrus Motors. We had just dealt with multiple “traditional” LA dealerships which made the Citrus Motors weirdness stand out even more. When we arrived, Luis came out smiling. That’s not weird for a car salesman. All car salespeople smile—or they’re supposed to. It’s in the training. I’ve been in sales and the Sales 101 manual states that “customers buy from people they like,” right? So, when a salesperson speed-walks to me with a forced smile and a “How’s your day going?” it feels like an attempt to turbocharge our relationship’s growth when going easier on the rapport-building pedal would be more comfortable for me.We called Citrus Motors earlier to see if they had the car we wanted. Luis said he thought they might have one despite his computer showing none. We waited while he ran out to the lot. He had one but that it wasn’t our preferred color. My wife was concerned she might not like the color. Luis did his best to describe it but didnt hype it and made no promises. We arrive and he had the car shade-parked at the showroom front door. He reviewed the basics then he handed us the keys for a test drive and suggested a route. “Take as long as you want,” he said. That was weird. I thought hed need to go on the test drive to watch and listen for buying cues and to squash any concerns. I thought hed use the test drive to say, … I know this car so well because I have one parked in my garage at home. None of that happened. Weird.Citrus Motors’ location is a huge test-driving advantage over LA dealerships. There are plenty of nearby smooth-paved roads with wide lanes, broad curves, and numerous large parking lots that are abandoned on weekends. These made testing the vehicle’s turning radius and parking ability more comfortable and safer.The car passed our test drive and my wife decided that the color was beautiful. When we returned to the dealership, Luis referred us to Ernie to discuss a deal. Before making an offer, I asked Ernie if there was anything he could do at all on the price. He said, “Let me check with my manager.” I thought, “Oh boy, here we go with the back and forth.” I was wrong. Ernie came back in less than 2 mins with a generous offer that was within inches of the counter I had planned. We took it. Earnie remained as friendly and upbeat as before even though I wondered if his commish had taken a hit. In the office he presented some additional options and extended warranty info, explained each thoroughly and asked only once if we were interested. So weird. We got no pushback on any item we passed on. Almost freaky. We went to lunch while Ernie took care of the paperwork. In about an hour he texted us saying everything was ready. We returned, Luis gave us a complete feature review of the vehicle, and we were on our way in only 2-3 hours with our clean, gassed up new car. Amazing.THE SECRETAfter the deal Luis confessed to us that Citrus Motors has moved from commission-based sales to an innovative bonus program that removes sales pressure on customers and rewards salespeople for completing tasks that enhance customer satisfaction. My God, I KNEW something was weird. We felt it the moment we stepped onto the lot. The chill vibe, lack of exhausting dickering, emphasis on educating and satisfying the customer, and the paperwork efficiency made sense. Citrus Motors has broken from the “car sales” stereotype. I hope this approach succeeds and rewards them because this purchase was a pleasure. But what about long-term profitability for Citrus Motors? I’ll just say youd have to hitch my wife up to a team of Tellurides to drag her away from Citrus Motors for our next car purchases. I’m not sure, but I think that sort of loyalty might be any dealership’s fantasy. What I AM sure about is that Citrus Motors is totally weird. You really should go see for yourself.

The sales person Christopher was awesome but unfortunately his financing person was not. After almost working a deal and coming to terms we over heard his manager say “Well if they don’t like it then send them home, we are already offering them a good deal.” Unfortunate that that’s how he felt over a 20 dollar a month difference. Car buying can be a nerve racking experience with dealers who try to pressure you and charge ridiculous fees for things you shouldn’t be paying for but not at Citrus motors. Jesus was an excellent car salesmen, knowledable and helpful during this process. Joey in their finance department made it that less stressful by working with our challenged credit. I was able to walk away with a 2017 Kia Sportage at a great monthly rate! I absolutely recommend to first time and veteran buyers!

You know Im a department manger for a major retail chain and when a customer comes into look I spend almost the same amount of time with them as I would for someone who was into purchase today showing options, understanding what they are looking for. Its funny how the salesmen scatter as soon as they know they dont have you on the hook I think the salesmen spent all of 10 minutes with us and went on to another customer. If you gain a relationship and earn the trust of a customer they may not purchase today but you dont what they will be back tomorrow to purchase.

Great car shopping experience I’ve ever had. I worked with several reps before and during my car shopping experience. Benjamin and Glyne helped me online before my appointment with all my questions about the vehicle. When I arrived both greeted me and was also helped with Luke to go over all the features of the vehicle. Glyne worked with me on all the financial aspects and there was no pressure whatsoever. Luis helped me load all my stuff from my old vehicle and showed me all the driver features and helped me set up my phone to the Apple CarPlay feature and explained how all the information screens worked and how to navigate through them. Great experience. I would definitely recommend anyone to them if they’re interested in a new vehicle. These guys know their stuff!

Horrendous customer service when it comes to repairing vehicles. Obviously great and selling cars, but hands off when it comes to fixing them. Called 3 days in a row with run around if getting a call back, just had to share my frustration with the front desk (sorry); since management (including the general manager) are above helping out customers or even calling back to say they cannot assist. “Independently owned”, so they’ll let the brand name go to trash, since they can’t even refer me to another location. Disappointing experiences would be an understatement…..

A little low on inventory as everyone is. Ernesto V. is great with presentation and was super cool to work with!No added cost because of shortage so definitely a plus!Our experience was really good!

*SERVICE DEPARTMENT * I called on Wednesday 8/4/21. My check engine light came on and was flashing. Car went into limp mode while I was on the freeway. The person who answered told me they didn’t have an appointments until mid sept. I asked if she could check if this was a recall and she says she checked and that I had no active recalls on my car.I called around and Kia of Alhambra took me in the same day. Told me my car had a recall and took care of it at no charge to me. When I told them that Ontario Kia told me there were no recalls and no appointments untill mid Sept. the advisor laughed n said “ya they just didn’t want to do it”.I live in Ontario but will no longer go to Kia Ontario. Kia of Alhambra will have my business each and every time.

We had a wonderful experience with the Kia Citrus Motor staff. I found Sandy on multiple review sites and decided to work with her. I called and told her what I was looking for(2022 Carnival), and she called me back the moment the vehicle arrived at their lot. We met the next day, and she went over all the new features of the vehicle. We test drove. She did not pressure us AT ALL!! We decided to go for the vehicle, and met with George in Finance. He was also very informative and helpful, and worked with our budget. It’s a long process, but it was a positive one. Also, Travis called us a few days later to set up our UVO link system. Great team, very low pressure. The team there was very knowledgeable and eager to help. The only thing I wasnt crazy about were the add on items at the end of the process, but just make sure you ask questions so you fully understand what you are saying yes or no to. They were great about explaining what came with each option.

I called to schedule an appointment for a recall on my car and I was told I was gonna get a call back from service department and never did .. this happened 2 times so I just went back to pomona kia and scheduled there with in 5 minutes.. this had better ratings but honestly not sure why .. bad customer service and I was actually gonna look at a new car well not here anymore 🙃

I just bought a 2020 Niro lxs and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Once I got in I was greeted by Luis who was very friendly and arranged for me to test drive the car. From there I got to talk numbers with Chris, who was able to explain the added packages and work with me within my budget, once we reached a number I could agree on, all that was left was to sign off on the paperwork with Brian and I was free to drive off in my new car.
