The kid in there was very polite and professional. I wish I knew their policies before I went in there.Whatever the going rate is, they mark it up, maybe $.20 on the dollar. Thats their profit. Then there is a second fee. I bought €800 euros, which cost $973. My second fee was $10. If you buy less currency then the second fee is lower. Then I was told that I was buying a large amount so I had to give up my drivers license. The kid mentioned money laundering and Department of the Treasury laws. Then I asked if my info would be safe in their computer and he told me it would be encrypted and no one will see it again. My point to this review is that it is a little more involved than it used to be. I think the kid could have counted out my bills a little slower.
I frequently use this vendor and have never been disappointed. Very professional and would highly recommend.
After taking a second attempted flight back to France, my credit card company called me and had deactivated my card. They said that it was in my best interest, and basically said I didnt have a choice. I needed to exchange some cash just to pass the time. I was walking around the mall and saw the signage around. Got all exchanged up and was on my way. No hassle and no bs like the airport exchange, this place is top notch.
Their sloppy business practices and lack of caring have caused a huge hassle and may have lost me $80.I took a 10- or 15-year-old travelers cheque I had lying around to this CXI. The man working there decided after he had me endorse the check to CXI and ran the approval with American Express that the cheque didnt look right and refused to give me the money. Because I had already endorsed the cheque to them and they had it approved with AmEx, I could not take it anywhere else. I had to send it to AmEx and hope things are sorted out, and I have no idea when, or if, I will actually get my money. The man working there was uninterested in making any effort to correct his mistake. He should have verified the cheque before he had me sign it. Since he didnt, he shouldve contacted AmEx to see if they could help verify the appearance of an older cheque, but he wouldnt. He called his manager only after we suggested it (he wanted me to come back on Monday morning to speak with her), and she was also unhelpful.
I had an exchange on this site this year for euro. In addition to the currency exchange the lady charge me a fee. I was in a hurry and did not have a choice. The currency exchange in Downtown LA is better
Before my Sri Lanka Trip I used this currency exchange and was very happy with their service.
Fast, easy, no problems 👍👍
The guy that worked there could careless, he was no help at all.
Love it
