Theres always a super friendly staff here and they usually have great deals and prices on most items.Recently I spilled something while going through the self check out and everyone who helped had a smile on their face, was very friendly and courteous, and I didnt see a single complaint.I would highly recommend this Kroger location.

Huge shoutout to the essential workers at this Kroger. They are all so kind and helpful. When I couldn’t find a cut of meat, an employee went to the back to find one. Another employee gave me the freshest grapes. Finally, a nice gentleman grabbed my buggy after I loaded my groceries.

I was very disappointed on my first visit to the store and decided to give it a second chance. My second experience was worse than the first. The store is dirty, disorganized and products are not available that are advertised. Products are stocked on the wrong shelves according to labels, and many many prices are missing. This was a most disappointing experience. Food that is supposed to be stored in the refrigerator was stored in a freezer, which impacted the quality negatively. I would rather drive a half an hour further than go back to this store.

This store is always a joy to go to. They make sure they notify the public on CDC and state regulations about Covid19 and are really clean. I much rather pay a little more on great customer service and quality food than others that cant keep up.

No enforcement of wearing masks here. Its unsafe in this store. So many people walking around without masks including some worker walking around checking freezer temperatures.I know its hard to enforce but they dont even try

Larger and more spread out than the Auburn Kroger. The aisles are wide, too, making it easy to get around. Also, unlike the Auburn Kroger, it doesn’t close the entrance after a certain hour, making you walk into the store through the exit, pushing your way through the customers doing self-checkout or the half-dozen employees perpetually huddled around the customer service desk socializing.

A huge remodeled Kroger with a huge variety of selection. Lots of self checkout registers so you can get in and get out. They have a huge grab-n-go section for food, sushi, cheese, a nice bakery and meat department... Definitely my go-to store. Its just constantly packed.

They have added so many self-checkout aisles and I seriously feel so bad for the few workers that they have left there that try to manage 7 registers instead of one. I tried to check out for probably 30 minutes the other day because the program kept glitching and of course none of the items ring up the as price listed around the store. Then you’re treated like you’re lying and you get to re-shop around the whole store to take pictures of everything so that they can do overrides on prices. I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I don’t work for Kroger. If I wanted to be a cashier there I’d fill out an application and at least get paid for that hour I spent checking out. I will not be back to this location and honestly, if this is the future at Kroger, I’ll spend my time and money at Publix. Quality customer service is NOT what it used to be here. It took so long that I missed my meeting, and I’ve probably never been more irritated by a grocery store self-checkout in my life. I have shopped at this location for the last five years and this one experience was enough to keep me from ever coming back. I work with technology every day. These machines are not convenient.

Older Kroger for this area. Decent selection of natural and organic foods section plus Kroger has also integrated the natural and organic foods throughout the regular isles throughout the store. Very organized and clean store. Bathrooms are clean as well.Easily navigate through this store to find whatever you need. This store has pick up too.

Nicest Kroger Ive ever been in. Has a big Starbucks bar kiosk, beside the fresh sushi kiosk. Its overall a pretty clean grocery store, & it has a good deli. Havent used the pharmacy but once or twice. Self-checkouts, regular checkouts, & one tobacco checkout.*Thumbs up grocery store

Literally the best and fastest grocery pick up I’ve ever experienced. It’s even faster than Walmart, this is why I only shop at my Kroger. Sabrina and Mary were so nice.

Patty in FloralThis woman is a blessing. I was in Opelika with my step daughter shopping for a dress for her first daddy daughter dance that evening. We were on a budget and found one for $20 at Ross. I wanted to get her and our 5 year old corsages to make the dance extra special. We were on a pretty tight budget so I went to Kroger. I was talking to the woman in floral(Patty) who was helping show me what they had. Our budget didnt allow for 2 corsages, so I was talking about the possibility of just getting a small bouquet and splitting it. The girls would have been thrilled either way. In conversation I was talking about our daughters, I mentioned that my step daughter had just moved in less than a year ago and this was her first daddy daughter dance and she was super excited about it. This wonderful woman asked if she could bless our 17 year old with the corsage because she wasnt the night to be extra special. I watched her pay for it out of her own pocket. It was such an amazing heartfelt gesture. Doing that, I was able to buy the corsage for our 5 year old and they both had something beautiful to wear to the dance and that they can keep forever. This woman was not only a blessing to talk to, but her act of kindness put a spark in my heart that I will be sure to pay forward. Thank you for your kindness Patty. Our girls will forever treasure the perfect night they had.Kroger- Dont let this woman go. This experience is the reason we will continue to shop at Kroger Opelika and patronize a business with employees that cares so much about others.

Its a good place to go grocery shopping most of the time. However if you are looking for certain things and a cheaper price go to Walmart. I frequently shop here still because I work in the area and I like to get gas perks which definitely is a plus. The friendliness of the staff could be better but overall its still a good place to go.

Fantastic experience. The store was clean and organized. Every single employee was incredibly polite and willing to help, even though it was crazy busy. I went in looking for a specific product. The manager on duty took the time to personally help me look for it when others couldnt find it. When we couldnt find it in stock, he took it upon himself to call a neighboring Kroger store looking for it. When they didnt have what I was looking for (it was for a recipe), the manager took the time to text me one of his personal recipes for a similar dish. I made it for Thanksgiving and it was awesome. The thing is that the manager didnt just make me feel like he cared, HE GENUINELY DID!! Its hard to find customer service like that anymore. Kroger has certainly earned my business!

I checked Kroger app before I went to the store this morning. On Kroger App, it showed Rubbing alcohol, paper napkins, bleach, all purpose flour are all available. But none of these items are on the shelves when I got there 10 mins later. This is false advertising.

Kroger is amazing! They have tons of healthy food options and the employees are always polite, cheerful and helpful. Also, there are often great sales. I wish there was one in Columbus, GA so that I dont have to drive so far to get my excellent food supplies.

I love shopping at Kroger. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, is because they have too many of those cinnamon smelling brooms in the area by the self checkouts. I am allergic to the artificial cinnamon and they are over doing it. It was better when they were in the doorways. At least, then, I could hold my breath when walking through, because it literally makes my throat close up, instantly.

A lady who worked here (I believe from the floral department) hounded and yelled at us in line (as we are buying Kroger products none the less) bc we didn’t put something back exactly where it went in this huge store. Terrible customer service.

I usually have a good experience here and I purposely go through the cashiers line to do what I can to save the jobs from the self checkouts, but tonight was absolutely awful. First I have to wait on a cashier to finish looking at pic on anothers phone, then I have to get the attention of the cashier not to scan the next persons item on my tab, finally after sliding an item close to the one who is supposed to be bagging and asking three times to bag an item she continues just looking at her phone and waddles off. ....and I was trying to save their job. Guess they dont really want them..

Very nice store overall. Great ambiance, decor and layout. Upscale. Good selection, but prices can be a bit high for some products, such as fresh deli meats. Definitely enjoy shopping here.

Cockroaches in the Deli!!! This was my favorite grocery store to shop and I loved the Boars Head Deli Meat until one night while waiting at the deli for my meat to be sliced, I watched TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the glass and just as quick as I seen them they scattered under the glass. I looked down into the cracks where all the cold food was on display and it was full of old food, crud and roaches. I left and havent been back since.

Such a great selection and good customer service. Food prices are fair. Traffic is terrible and so is parking.

Overall excellent selection of grocery items, even for home chefs and foodies. Excellent wine selection! Also excellent variety of microbrewery beers including an option to pick singles and create your own six pack. Good prices on everything. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the pharmacy service is a bit on the slow side. Pharmacy staff are very friendly and helpful, but takes longer than most other pharmacies.

It seems as if I should go on THE FIRST sale day, due to MOST items are GONE. Some of the customers have been down right RUDE!! The cashiers /and departments ARE AWESOME, though. So, in ALL, MY experience with Kroger today.....WAS GREAT. THANK YALL!! Sincerely, Suzanne Crutchfield

I love Kroger! I will add that around pay days the shelves are more bare (normal for the area) and that the checkout/baggers are slower than the broke self checkout lanes at the Walmart, but the grocery selection makes up for the horrible customer service. Great deals, great selection, and I love the layout.

I was there for just one thing and actually found it very quickly. The cashier was funny and cheerful, but also efficient, which was very nice. The premises was clean, and the staff friendly. This location is very nice.

It says they are open till 1 am but at 12:25 we could not get gas. Thats cool thanks. We couldent even use a card.

As a current customer and past employee, this store is awesome. From the great prices and quality products, to the friendliest managers and employees, not to forget the fast checkout, Kroger is my favorite store. Yes, it gets busy, but you wont stand in line long. They make sure you get in and out as fast as possible.

The store is located in a great area of town and its a very convenient place to go for groceries and gasoline prices are very good so they even have a Starbucks.

I am so tired of driving 21 miles to go to Kroger and the shelves are poorly stocked. And today was over charged $2 a pound for cherries that were on sale. They dont carry a lot of items Im use to. The store is clean and service is usually friendly. Need a decent grocery store in Opelika....guess Ill start shopping at Aldi. At least their prices are decent!

I drive an hour and 15 minutes to grocery shop! Krogers has never let me down! I wish the would open a store closer to my house though.

DONT BUY SEAFOOD FROM THERE. I first bought the marked down stuff and it was rotten. Then I thought maybe next time it wont, but it was also rotten. I then decided to buy fresh Cod in behind the glass display. Also smelled bad. Im not gonna drive all the way back with rotten fish in the car just to get my money back.

Krogers is a great store always clean and has products stocked daily. When you enter the store there is Starbuckss. Always good coffee but pricey. Then they have homemade sushi and normally they have samples. They have an awesome deli and bakery. There fruit is fresh it stays for a week. They have a healthy department with health foods and nuts. The store is located in the beginning of TigerTown. They keep sufficient ride buggys for disabled people.

I went in to the Opelika store (tigertown) to order a character cake for my daughters birthday (after I had been treated rudely at the Auburn store when I went in for the same purpose). When I finally tracked down a bakery employee, she acted as though taking a cake order from me was the last thing she wanted to do. When I asked about ordering a PJ Masks cake (PJ Masks is a popular cartoon series for preschoolers and is the kind of cake my 4 year old wants for her birthday) the employee looked me with a disdainful sneer and stated I have never even heard of that. We dont have that here before turning on her heel and going back behind the counter. Not asking if she could help order another cake, or offering up alternative cakes as a solution, not even an Im sorry about that. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service in a business that relies on CUSTOMERS to keep the doors open. My own job is heavily focused on customer service, and if I treated MY customers the way I was treated in both local Kroger stores the other day, Id have been fired long ago! People dont like to be treated like theyre an inconvenience. Kroger - is it too much to ask for yall to hire bakery employees that dont have an attitude problem?

Do not shop ClickList on Tuesday afternoons. If your pick up turns out to be on Wednesday morning you will NOT receive half of the items you tried to order and may end up paying double the price for others. Was NOT happy with them after this happened to me.

I have never been treated so poorly and with malice and intent. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly no matter what skin color they have .You can bet if I was black, the news station would be at this store. They can only hire the leftovers that no one wants, its how they get away with this treatment. Ill be back and with a video camera .

I dont do much shopping @ Krogers since I moved to Auburn, unlike the krogers in Louisville, Ky where I lived for most my life, the stores down here are not kept as clean and most produce not always fresh. I do most my food shopping @ Publix where I may pay more, but I do not end up throwing it away! I do have the few RX I occasionally need filled with Krogers, staff is very professional and explains any new meds.

Kroger has an amazing selection and great prices, but it was upsetting to check out and find that Kroger will not accept a Master Card.

I probably saw about 20 employees today and only ONE of them said hi and ask me if I need anything. I didnt get her name but she was caucasian and was stocking the bacon and frozen chicken floor cabinets about 10:30 a.m. she gets 5 stars, the rest of my experience was not good.
