Great customer service. I have walked into other gun stores where you are treated like what do you want? or Why are you bothering me? This was my first visit to the store. They treated me respect and gave me a tremendous price on a Glock. I like the glass view of the gun range. I intend to buy my next gun there.

Everything costs more now these days and its not fair for me to criticize them on only one service so harshly.Their range is excellent and clean, they enforce safety well too. Being forced to leave long arms at the stall can be annoying but I know why they do this now. One of the better indoor ranges in orange park.

Great place with a modern indoor range, the RSO guy is always cool and will even give you helpful tips free of charge, this is the main place I go to zero my guns and do testing. The RSO guys will also go out of their way if your gun is having issues too

Ill always come to shoot here! From the moment you walk in, you know they have their act together. The sales area at the front is very clean and organized so I can find what I need. Im greeted by friendly and knowledgeable sales staff and I can discuss my next build with them and they always have great recommendations on what to get. Ive purchased a few guns here and the process was smooth and the prices are competitive, plus its a bonus that I can shoot here as well.The range is comfortable and I feel safe there knowing the range safety officers are there and very attentive and safe. One even gave me some tips on how to grip my handgun better. I havent taken any training courses here, but I hear great things about the classes and instructors.I look forward to coming back again, thank you guys and gals so much!!

I took my kids there for the gun safety course and some range time with instruction. We had a great time! Our instructor, Doug, did a great job and took a lot of time with us. My kids can’t wait to go shoot again.

Took the conceal weapon class with Doug and it was great. Learned a bit about the laws in Florida pertaining to firearms, as well as general safety info and how to properly hold a handgun. Doug was informative, he answered all questions thoroughly. He was also fun and charming which made the class a breeze.

OTS is just AWESOME! Every one is as friendly as you can get. The training class I took was Top-Notch. The Range was one of the Best Ive seen. (And I have been looking around for the past 3 months). They are not price gouging like some other firearm places around. (u know whom I speak of) Once I finish paying for all my Misc firearm stuff I will be applying for membership to OTS. In the mean time I will be using their range as often as I can. I also plan on taking all of the training classes they offer as I can afford them.Michael Hammons

The staff was very professional and helpful. We had 5 people and only one licensed shooter and they helped us figure out a way for everyone to participate. On target is by far one of the best gun rages and gun stores in the Jacksonville and Orange Park area. KASEY was amazing! She literally showed me how to clean and oil my firearms and she took her time and was completely patience with me. She didnt make me feel rushed and she made me feel comfortable! Andrew on the other hand is awesome too! He was extremely helpful as well. Everyone in there had great customer service, even though we worked mainly with Kasey & Andrew I would recommend anyone. The entire staff worked as a team and we witnessed how great they all correlated with each other.I went in there to get a crash course about my firearm and I left with upgrades. Ive lived in Jacksonville for about 25 years now. Ive shot at nearly every range in the city. At one point I was shooting twice a week for several years during my lunch hour.Since the first day I shot at OTS, I havent used a single other indoor range. The facilities are top notch. Its cool in the summer. Its warm in the winter. The fees are very reasonable. The store has a good selection of some of the finest quality firearms for sale, and a decent selection of weapons for rent at, also, very reasonable prices.The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about their products, and professional. Unlike other ranges, their range officers are present, watchful and helpful at all times. I never feel its unsafe to shoot there...something I cant say about all the other indoor ranges in town.Their training department is top notch as well. The Training Director, Scott Whigham, is a wealth of knowledge about self defense training techniques, to Florida and Federal gun law, to everything you want/need to know about most common (and even not so common) firearms and their accessories. My goto resource for gear, training and firearms locally.I highly recommend you try out this store for you next purchase and the range for you next training day.

Great staff. I watched as inexperienced shooters were introduced to the range and asked key questions to maintain safety for everyone. Its refreshing to see staff put safety ahead of profit. One couple was referred to get private instruction before firing at the range due to their inexperience. Austin was respectful and courteous while being adamant that safety was the first priority. I was very impressed by his professionalism and the fact that the entire staff backed him up in the same manner.

My daughter and I visited Friday 7th June - our first, but definitely not our last !!! From the initial welcome and paperwork we were treated with the highest courtesy and warmth. It is a very clean, well presented shop and range. There is a wide choice of (very reasonably priced) weapons for rental, including autos.The personal attention and guidance shown from the 2 range masters was pure class, - resulting in my girl shooting far more accurately than ever before. We left there feeling compelled to personally thank every member of staff and will be returning soon!

Wife and I walked in with little to no experience on gun safety, handling or shooting. Within minutes staff scheduled us for a safety training class with Wayland.We sat in class and Wayland went over the pillars of gun safety very thoroughly and stopped to answer all of our questions and concerns. After becoming familiar with proper safety techniques, proper handling, and test shots with a dummy laser gun we were on to the range. Each step of the way range master Wayland and staff were there to help and show proper technique and answer questions. Couldn’t have gone any better. Wife and I went from little to no knowledge to feeling comfortable on how to handle and operate different guns safety. First class facility and staff here.

Initially did some training with a firearms instructor at the facility.This past weekend, my wife and I rented a couple striker fire pistols after great suggestions by the staff.The staff spent plenty of time with us to help us purchase the right firearm for us both. I bought a Heckler & Koch VP9mm.Tommy was extremely helpful as well as the rest of the staff. This will be our go to for purchasing firearms and tactical gear.Thanks fellas.

DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD HERE. So they charge us twice for a Gun. Went back to them and all they said was oh well it didn’t go through the first time so we ran it again. We called our bank and was told it would take three business days to fall off. This was a 600.00 gun So now we have no money for three days because of this place. Went back in to store and they said nothing they could do. No sorry this happen we apologize. Nothing will never buy anything here again!! BUYER BEWARE!

Store area is very clean, front-staff were friendly and helpful, and the rules were thoroughly explained. Range staff were very helpful and attentive and willing to answer questions and provide advice(Shout-out to Ryan!). The range/lanes were well-lit and well-ventilated and the target retrieval system was easy to use and understand, with a lot different recall options.Two things I really appreciated about this facility were the absence of any overt political messaging, and no requirement for affiliation with any other group in order to become a member.

Had a great time with my husband and friends here Ryan.L was a great source of information and safety. He even helped with a jam I had in my 22. Plenty of room for an indoor range and very clean. All the staff was helpful and they had a good selection of guns (side/long) to choose from. Parking wasnt a hassle and the place is organized well lit and not far from 295. Will go back soon to shoot my new Henry.

Wonderful! I went in inexperienced but the staff was sure to guide me from beginning to end. The range officers, in particular Ryan, were thorough in being sure I knew of the safety procedures and continued to follow-up with me throughout my time there. That first experience, while nearly 2 hrs from my home, made me continue to go back and even bring my 17 yr old back with me! Thank you to range officers for making sure we are safe and giving me confidence to keep at it. Thank you to all of On Target for maintaining a very clean, organized and welcoming (regardless of experience) facility!

Great indoor range! The ventilation and the sound deadening are put good, and the target retrieval system is top notch. The range officers make sure everyone is practicing safe gun handling while on the firing line. The staff in the retail store also seems knowledgeable and helpful as well. Highly recommended!

Every time I come here I have nothing but great service. The staff are friendly and the range masters go out of their way to help you with whatever questions or advice you have. Im no novice nor an expert by any means and always listen to any suggestions they provide which comes out very well for me.

Im a beginner and I guess it was obvious bc this awesome guy that was working RYAN saw me and offered to show me different stances and how to hold the gun to fit my hand. He talked to me about self defense and the gun laws. Not only was his customer service excellent but he was so knowledgeable I left actually feeling like I learned something. I will definitely be going back and I would recommend to anyone!

Their commitment to providing exceptional customer service is appreciated and commendable, even though we were never actually customers, per se. We had accidentally signed up for a class here, not realizing it’s not the On Target in our local city (we live in Michigan, not Florida). After realizing our error, and having conversations both by email and phone with the managers at OTS Range to explain the situation, they refunded the money paid for the class. Class act for sure!

In short they had tact, and were very kind. I went there and shot about 50 rounds of 9 mm split between a glock 19 and m&p 2.0c and I dont think it was too costly, (see my receipt). Every staff member I dealt with had a pleasing attitude, and were very engaging in conversation. I didnt feel patronized either, very professional and cool people. they earned my business for sure.

I’ve visited on target a few times in recent months and when I say the service was extraordinary! Tommy from on target is definitely my go to guy. As a military member they completely understood my situation and that was such a relief for me! Tommy and the whole on target staff has my absolute highest rate of satisfaction!

I had to find the right way to put this.. but i found this store very unpredictable. One day everyone is nice and helpful.and other times everyone mad and disrespectful. Inventory is very minimum. And was stated due to the rush. Understandable.. but the young kid behind the counter.. he lost out of $1,500. In sales yesterday by really just being a smart mouth and very distant talking.. just was not comfortable.... drove another 30min and went to shooters and spent $2,000 in under 15 min. Ill still shop here. But its all on the feeling I will get coming through the door..

Saturday, 15 FEB 2020It has been a while since my last visit to On Target Sports. This morning, I arrived right before 1000 AM; they open at 1000 on Saturdays amd I recommend you get their early, as it gets busy QUICK!For those who have used the range before, your information will already be in the system.Everything about this place is highly organized, from start to finish. Everything is priced fairly and the customer service I experienced today was top-notch.Back inside the range, I had the EXCELLENT customer service and support of Austin- an Army Veteran with combat service under his belt. The man knows his *hit... I have handled weapons in the past... but its been a while so I was a bit nervous. I am not too proud to relearn how to handle a gun, so I didn’t waste anytime asking Austin if he could help me. He gave me plenty of feedback and was very respectful in his approach. Reader, that is rare now-a-days where people assume they can touch you, no matter how benign the gesture.I want to thank everyone there today; you guys are a rare breed and seem like a very tight knit community. You remind me of a “brotherhood.”I will be back! No doubt.Much Respect!

This place is amazing. The staff treats you like family. Specific shout out to Tommy and Austin. Tommy was particularly helpful in the sales department and Austin in the range. I have never shot a gun, and was particularly nervous. I also have metal in half my arm due to a previous injury, and I kept having difficulty loading my handgun. Austin stepped in repeatedly to offer tips and guidance. So appreciative of the kindness and understanding these two men and the entire staff. You would be crazy to go anywhere else.

OTS has been nothing but amazing over my years of doing business with them! The sales reps are all friendly and helpful no matter how crowded it gets, and today they were pretty busy but every customer in the store was catered to very well.

Great indoor range. Andrew has been such a help to me as a beginner. He has been very patient and helpful with me which I greatly appreciate. I also highly recommend the memberships they sell. A few weeks ago we tried to go and it was a 2 hour wait, but members get priority!

Took my 14yr old boy on his first trip to the range. This is a great spot. They do allow ppl to shoot most any ordinance... so it can be a bit of an experience for the uninitiated.

Kind, clean, and organized. This shop is fantastic and has facilitated everything Ive needed in my experiences coming here. From range time to transfers, and everything in between, On Target Sports is a pleasure to do business with. While these types of businesses are very busy right now, I was helped getting some sights aligned that I had goofed trying to install about as soon as I came in (earlier in the day). While this store isnt necessarily close to me, Im happy to drive past a few other shops to come to the place that does it right. Thank you and keep up the great work OTS.

This is one of the best gun stores in all of Jacksonville and Orange Park. Staff is very knowledgeable on anything firearm related. Management is superb! Never made it in the door to leave a decent review. I was told do to Covid-19 not kids under 12 were allowed in the store. I was told this by an employee not wearing a mask and from what I saw only one employee was wearing a mask. What a joke of an establishment. I would be embarrassed as an employee to turn customers away explaining “Do to Covid-19 no one under 12 is currently allowed inside”Thats fine sir gun Safety with young children starts by going to ranges and being in gun stores. Went to OTS for the first time the other day. I have been to many ranges and On target is by far the most well maintained ranges I have been to. Not only the quality of the range but the quality of the people. I was helped by two individuals, Becca And Matt. Becca is personable and knowledgeable, she most definitely cares about the customer’s experience.As for Matt, he is very good at his job. I went in just to shop around and I came out with a shadow systems MR920. Very satisfied with my overall experience at OTS and the staff and will definitely be back.

This is my second review as after the first I was called by the manager, Phillip May, to be yelled at for leaving this review. To which he demanded I answer his questions such as where do I work, and why would I blast his business like this. He did not try to resolve the issue and was very angry. My original review claimed the staff was nice but the experience of having a safety officer breathe down your throat while you try to shoot the whole time is not only creepy but offputting. They have a very expensive range as a lot of it is digital, however this means it is harder to use than normal switches to put your target down range. Cant wait for your reply Phillip...

Today (5/5/20) was my second time visiting On Targets shooting range. I just have to say that Austin, Ryan & Wayland (I believe his name is) make it a truly enjoyable experience! Well worth the time & money to shoot here! I spent a few hours here this morning, shooting for the 1st time in several years. I was beyond rusty & was learning to do a few things differently. Wayland, the Range Officer had some great advice & was able to answer every single question I had in real, laymans terms. After shooting for 40+ years as a one eye closed shooter, today was the 1st in learning how to shoot w/ both eyes opened. Waylands advice was invaluable. I was also learning to actually use a scope for the 1st time ever & he was able to help me get it sighted in & shooting decent fairly quickly. Every person I interacted w/ today was friendly& knowledgeable.

Second time going to On Target Sports, we had family over from Scotland and all the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, they supplied us with what they thought would be a good fit for the first timers and EVEN gave them shooting tips, took great care of the under 18s in our party. also, I want to give a BIG thank you to, Tristen, Travis, and Austin who really showed us the ropes and even brought out guns from their own collection to show off. Once again, VERY friendly, VERY knowledgeable, they CARE about customers and most importantly, guns and gun safety.

Amazing experience with OTS team! Literally worth an 8 hour round trip in the car for a 15 minute transaction! I had questions about a new pistol and the team responded to multiple emails with clear answers and personable writing. They kept me updated throughout my purchase experience letting me know when my gun had arrived, when I could pick it up, etc. I got phone calls and emails from multiple members of the team.Actually getting to the store was easy and its in a clean, safe feeling area. The store itself was immaculate, uncluttered, the staff opened the door five minutes early, and then were pleasant and amiable during the transaction.I did in fact drive four hours to this shop, and four hours home. And it was worth it. I would happily give them my business for all future transactions and the store felt so safe and clean I would send my mother there.Cant say enough, amazing purchase experience.

Most of the employees are rude. If you ask a question they get snotty. Thought maybe we just caught them on a bad day but seems to just be the business model they follow. The manager matches the same attitude his employees have. Have no desire to go back. But I will give them two stars as their building is well maintained and clean.

Came over from Scotland to visit family here in Jacksonville. Went to On Target Sports. Cant thank the guys enough for looking after us. Being from the UK, guns are not the norm for us. Gave us loads of tips and advice. Set us up shooting lots of different guns. Really professional outfit. Three hours of amazing fun for all my family. Awesome experience. Cant recommend them enough.

We came in this afternoon for our daughter’s birthday. Despite our family not being gun owners, she wanted to shoot for her birthday. I was kind of nervous (also pretty excited) about the idea and just felt a little uncomfortable since I hadn’t shot in many years and my wife and kids never shot. Every person we encountered made us feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. Mark gave us a quick orientation to help us feel comfortable with the weapon and the safety rules. Mark was great. He was patient, respectful and thorough. He stayed with each of us until we all shot a round and felt very comfortable. After that, the RSO’s were great, keeping an eye on everyone, but also giving us our space. We all shot better than we expected for being beginners and found the whole experience to be very satisfying. I would recommend OTS to anyone interested in getting started with firearms. Great job guys!
