Horrible return policy. My daughters bat broke at the end and they said since we took the wrapper off we’d have to go through the manufacture even though it was less than 60days. The manager was no help

Good prices on shoes..they are selective on military discounts.. Might be a set back for vets and dependents

Most times it is easy to get in and out. They have a good selection of sporting goods. I have gotten 2 treadmills, a heavyweight bag and a weight machine from here so far. Looking at kayaks now and they have a decent selection. But only 1 paddle board option. Several different paddles but a little high on the cost for those. All in all I like the options available.

Love this store,,,popped in to get some Jaguars stuff for the draft tonight. Cashier was very nice, he even gave me a good idea for cleaning my dogs teeth. And another very nice guy helped me get my fishing license. And another very nice employee literally walked me across the store to find floating key chains for my boat. The management team must be doing a good job its a feel good neighborhood story! Thank you!!!!

A really nice place to buy sporting goods

Travis was extremely polite and helpful and loaded a kayak on a flatbed cart, took it to the front of the store and waited while we paid for it and then took it out to the parking lot and loaded it into the car. Great customer Service!

I went to purchase a handgun. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me get the correct gun for the purpose I was looking for.

I tend to usually go here to buy shoes, bit the whole place is amazing! Customer Service is on game! This store helps a lot when youre trying to go on a trip or camping! All the supplies you need. 10/10 Recommend this place!

I bought a tennis racket here. It was of pretty good quality. At the time they seemed well stocked of items.

Good selection of outdoor clothes. You cant satisfy everyone I understand but I wish the had a big selection of shoes for work.

The store is nice. You can clearly see all the items, nicely displayed, organized, and well stocked, however, I understand the store carries name brand items, and some are reasonablely priced, but, I was a little taken back with some of the prices for sweatshirts. I mean, boldly displaying high a$$ prices for A sweatshirt. Like, $55-$60...HA! Really! That bad boy will be staying nicely presented on your shelf, while I get my discount somewhere else. Yall good, but naw, cant do it! LOL!

I kind think mostemployees Ideal with could care less if you buy anything or not expecialy if they have to actually work at their job to help you.I not to sure they know what thatIs.have you notives. I feel a good manager would see what going an take the appropriate action to see the customer feel comfortable coming to his store.

Were able to buy what we came for but girl st checkout had us try our credit card 4 times before another rep took over and it went right through. Ill definitely double check the statement.

Well organized and great customer service. They were lacking on firearm inventory, but that is not their fault. Would like to see them carry more local bait company products.

The prices were a lot better than I expected the to be. Plus more choices than Wal-mart. If you apply for one of their credit cards, the cashier will give you a discount! Theyve got everything for camping: knives, guns, tents, etc. Believe it or not, sometimes Wal-mart doesnt have the best prices.

Went in to look for a swing set, tag says have an associate scan to check availability. Walked around looking for an associate, found 2 that were chatting with customers and one who was folding clothes. Tried to catch her attention as she walked by with no luck, she walked to the folding cart and pushed it in the other direction. Asked a cashier, he says there are none in stock but you can order it online, ok no problem. Checking out with same cashier, I questioned a $4 difference in price, he scans it again and so no, thats the price and there are 6 in stock. I explained that all 6 are sitting in the same spot with the wrong price. He tells me that we can get back in line behind all the other customers and when someone isnt busy hell have them take a picture of the price but everyone is closing up and theyre busy. IF its priced wrong then he will have to give it to us at that price. I said no thank you, Ill stop at Walmart and pick some up. After we get loaded and in the truck to leave I realized it was still 20 minutes until they close. While I do realize it was late when we went in and everyone wants to go home, we stood in line behind another customer who sent her daughter to grab another item. The cashier did not ask her to get back in line, we all waited patiently.

This was my first visit . But I will say it will be a while before I shop here again. Most of there Inventory was gone in the shoe department. Sizes was limited in alot of departments. This was a wasted trp.

I recently stopped in here to get a bike for my granddaughter. I was pleasantly surprised by everything they have for sale. Also, a member of staff helped me and was very polite and helpful. All in all a great shopping experience.

Although they ultimately did not have what I was looking for, the staff went out of their to check their inventory and the inventory of other Academies as well. Always a great selection here and he interior redesign of the store makes it much easier to find what youre looking for.

I ordered a Wavemaster XXL and picked up using curbside pickup. It was quick and contact free. When I got home, I realized I received part of my order wrong. Called customer service and they quickly coordinated with the store and transferred me to a store manager to have my correct order ready next day. Went back and made the exchange flawlessly. Extremely courteous and friendly staff from the customer service rep, manager and staff in store. Will absolutely do business with them again!

Always Love shopping @ Academy Sports they always have Great Prices on the things I Love. I was about to buy a buy a pair of shoes just bc it was the last pair just so I could bring them back later ( Getting the Black Friday Sale) but the employee was awesome & told me to go to the customer service desk & order the size I needed & they will ship them to my house for free. I thought that was Awesome! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Placed an online order and they cancelled it the day I went to pick it up. No explanation, no apology, no compensation for the time wasted. But the lady at customer service was helpful to get replacement items.

Great store for sporting goods

Busy on Saturday but everyone was pleasant. Had a good selection of items. The line was long but there wasnt much of a wait.

Wont let you purchase a firearm if your physical address on your license says a different state than what state the license was issued in. So in other words if you are in the military and stationed out of state but have a FL drivers license still because that is your home of record, you will not be able to exercise your 2nd amendment rights. They wont even let you begin the background check process because of this silly policy.

Good selection I bought a shirt that didnt fit took it back no problem got one that fit they made the exchange very easy. Useally the have a good selection of ammo and reloading supplies. Pricing is good just everyone is out right now. First toilet paper now guns and ammo.

They have the disc golf frisbees I use and at a good price. They pretty much have all sports covered.

Very long line. Only one check out open, the week of Fathers Day?? Cashier made the experience painfully awkward. However, the store was clean and organized.

Great customer service. I cant believe how fast they had the never-ending line moving at Christmas. Wish they kept more of the common sizes in stock though. I always find stuff I like there, but they never have mediums left. They always seem to be down to the XLs and XSs.

Great store low on ammo

The store is set up in a way that makes social distancing much more realistic and the store is very clean. Only criticism would be the selection of bicycle helmets was quite limited. The Black Friday deals are pretty good too 👌

I likely wont be back to this location. After searching for the bike my son wanted i determined they had (an hour from home) it and went to pick it up. When I got there I was told someone called and put a hold on it (which I was told wasnt allowed). So I called another academy 25 min further away and they told me they had 3 in stock. I told him what happened and he said they are not supposed to hold items like that.

If you play basic sports its great for you. But dont bother if you do martial arts. Its not really friendly for that. I personally like to go there to see if they have any new martial arts gear, I do kickboxing and Bjj. I dont expect a gi of course, but everlast is the only option they Ive you... And a single pair of shin pads. As for clothes its extremely expensive, if you dont make much so dont bother unless you surf clearance, although, they do have a nice selection of camping stuff from what I have seen, and lots of shoes, and baseball, basket ball and football stuff. Mainly baseball was what I saw. If your a basic sports lover, or enjoy camping, ( not easy round these parts )and you have lots of money, its perfect for you. If you like martial arts, or dont make more than enough to get by, dont bother.

So I called to ask about a certain shotgun and got cut off with if you are looking for ammo we didnt order any. If anyone needs ammo buy it online. Way better prices than buying in the store plus its in stock. I called to buy a shotgun and got snapped at because they dont have ammo. Never asked for ammo. Maybe you just actually ASK the customer want they need. I will take my business to Green Acres from now on.
