Very professional and very quick. Car runs great!!
This location got me in and out with no issues. Ive had a number of problems at other Pep Boys, so its usually a last resort, and just for basic services.I called ahead because they are short on staff, came in with my car info, and let them do their jobs.
Man let me tell you customer service is on point here!I had a discrepancy at a pep boys near my house so I came here and let me tell you they got me in & out! Its a little out of my way but I know the job was done right the first time! They were very informative about the 2 cars I brought in and everybody was friendly and treated is with a smile.👍🏼 A++ in my bookThanks Dawn, Justin, & Steve I appreciate all three of you👌🏼
MIKE BASSETT delivers GREAT SERVICE, Every Time!
Great service and buy 3 get 1 free on new car tires.
Mike the manager provided stellar service!!!
Good experience! I had to get the tires replaced on my car. I brought my vehicle in yesterday even though it was late in the afternoon. They managed to replace my tires without any hassle. Thank you Justin, Dawn and staff!
I had really bad experience with those guys. Last weekend came to them to change oil in my car. They told me it will take 45 min-1hour. After 1,5 hour I asked why it is so long, rude men at front desk said it is normal to wait so long. After 3 days I saw light on on my cars dashboard which says low oil pressure then I came back to PepBoys to check maybe smth wrong, they took me car, kept 30 minutes and after said all good, but light still keep appearing every 50 miles. Now I went to different place and changed oil again and thanks God it is all good now.So highly dont recommend this place, they are not responsible for job which they are doing
Work done was satisfactory. Service was prompt.
Had a wonderful experience on Labor Day! My Wife and I looked all over to try and get a new tire mounted and installed. Everyone else was busy and my Wife had to work the next day. Diane/Dion and the staff were able to get the job done before days end on little notice. Great customer service and professionalism 👍🏾👍🏾
I can here for a simple break change and after being turned away by a very rude employee who denied me help after not even inspecting my car, and he didn’t even listen to me when I told him what was wrong with my car told me I was wrong and said it’d cost 5 thousand dollars to fix my car after me calling the manager they FINALLY do the proper inspection on my car and they want to charge me 800 dollars. After leaving and going to jiffy lub I find out my car is fine and it’s take a simple 300 dollars less to fix it a jiffy lub then at this pep boys, your rude and unprofessional to your customers.
First time using Pep Boys for tire service, they installed new set of tires for my work van, oil change too. no appointments needed just walked in and the immediately helped, had a great deal on new set of tires, very reasonable prices. Steve the sales man and his coworker has been great and friendly, great service in general!
Very disappointed with the service level after they take your money they dont give a daaaam
I took my car there for a check up when I came to pick it up the battery is dead I said what’s wrong I came here my car working fine so I bought a battery they installed it and closed the door cuz it was late I drove it home going 5 miles speed I parlay made it home it need to be towed
Was going to visiting family on 4th of July, I dont live in the area, about an hour away, and had the tire treads blow off from the heat. I tried to put on the spare but one lug nut was stuck on and couldnt get it off. So came back on Monday and called around to a few places and most gave me the run around. One place said they were really busy but to try pep boys. I called and they said if it was just the lug nut, it would take a couple minutes. If it was something more, it would take more time, fair enough. They got it done in a few minutes when I asked how much, they said dont worry about it. Really nice of them, no run around and were direct on how long it would take. Wish I would have called them first, would have saved a lot of time. Thanks to those guys!
Watch these guys. Twice Ive been presented with a final bill that was significantly higher than my estimate. Get estimates in writing and have it with you at final checkout.
New service manager doing a great job. My cars go in and come out fixed! It takes time to get some repairs done! Being a technician for 30 years myself I know this, point being the mechanics at this shop have gotten better now that they’ve gotten experience working there in this shop. I’m impressed!
MIKE the Service Manager is great. PepBoys is LUCKY to have him!
Tried this pep boys out for the first time and I love the service. They keep you updated with your car while you wait and best part yet, I came in for an oil change and was done in 35 min. I will be returning! Great customer service compared to the other locations I have been to in the past.
Came in today for a battery check and a few other items, needed a battery and they installed it. Mike was very helpful and made good recommendations. I will definitely be back and send others there way. Very efficient too, didn’t spend much time there
During heavy snowfall, I left my house on the way to an important event. Within minutes of leaving, I realized my front passenger side tire had a slow leak and was almost flat. I quickly pulled over and used an emergency air compressor in an attempt to temporarily fill the tire. I didnt want to wait until the next day and run the risk of losing all of the air and having to remove the tire in the snow and bring it in. I quickly started to Google and then call all of the surrounding tire repair shops. I wasnt having a lot of luck since it was 7:00 pm on a Saturday night. Pep Boys was one of the only places still open and they said that they would wait for me. I immediately drove there and was greeted by Pete in service. Pete and the rest of his team expressed absolutely no dismay at the fact that I was a last minute customer. They pulled my car right into the service bay and immediately started to work on it. I, of course, apologized the whole time and thanked Pete and his team for helping so close to closing time during a weekend snowstorm. They all assured me that it was not an issue and that they were just happy that they could help. Again I just wanted to thank the whole Pep Boys team for the great service and for going out their way to help a last minute customer. They obviously have a great culture at that location. Thanks again.
I dont know how much money corp. Can throw away till they bring back parts + a ces.
Ill never be returning.I honestly dont like leaving negative reviews, but it seems Pepboys has truly gone out of their way to deliver a truly terrible customer service experience. Not long ago I had a battery replaced here and everything went beautifully. I scheduled the appointment online, was given the price, went into the store and paid. That same experience was not given today, however. I followed the same steps, booked my appointment online for new spark plug installation and was quoted a price of $80. I entered the store and was told it would cost over $300 for the service and parts. The employee declined to help me in anyway and asked why I didnt call the store to book the appointment. I guess a better question is, why even have the website if Im not supposed to book appointments there? I called customer service afterward to explain this obviously large issue and it was forwarded to, I believe, one of the district managers. He didnt really do anything help either and offered me 10% off the over $300 fee. What a joke. I told him that I would rather go somewhere else and pay the full amount. And thats what I plan on doing.
Yesterday I went in for an oil change. I had made an appointment which usually seems pointless, but this location completed my oil change immediately! When they were filling my tires, they found a nail. I though oh boy. Now I have to buy a new tire. The staff was honest and told me that they could patch the tire! Thank you for being ethical! I will be returning for future services!!
Good for PARTS. Not service. I went here a few months ago for My Ford escape. My air conditioner was blowing warm air, which at the time, it was extremely hot outside. I went to Pep Boys in Orland Park and was quoted a bill of over $1400 to repair my issue. They went further to inform me that this was unfortunately the standard cost everywhere I went to a smaller shop in Alsip and they repaired my air for $500!!!! I couldnt believe my ears and felt scammed by Pep Boys, however, good thing I got a second opinion. My air was blowing FREEZING air immediately upon pick up. Only took about 4 hours to do. I do NOT recommend Pep Boys for service. Transparency and honesty appears to be lacking. This is not my first bad experience with Pep Boys. I was just desperate to find a solution at the time. Im glad I waited a few days for better service.
I was told i can be put in for a wheel alignment in 30 min. Then when i got there the guy told me it will be about 3 hrs, i was blown at the point and left
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TOO COME TOO. THEY HAVE A PERSON NAMED MIKE. HE IS RUDE. I CAME IN AT 8:00AM SATURDAY HE TOLD ME THERE WAS A TWO HOUR WAIT! THEY HAD JUST OPENED. THEN HE TELLS ME ITS 100.00 DOLLARS JUST TO LOOK AT THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. ALL MIKE HAD TO DO WAS LOOK UP THE CODE ON THE MACHINE! HE WANTS 100.00 BUCKS. WHAT! THEN HE WOULD CHARGE ME FOR THE ADDITIONAL SENSOR. THIS PLACE IS A REAL CASH COW! STAY AWAY FROM HERE. GO ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY! THEY ARE A JOKE. OTHER MECHANICS ARE FAR BETTER. MEINEKE WAS SO MUCH BETTER. NO 100.00 DOLLARS TO HAVE A LOOK. THEY ARE ALSO CHEAPER AND QUICKER. BEST REGARDS MICHAEL M.
The manager really helped me out when I was in a bind on a Sunday. My gas line came loose from my van that I was selling and I was quite a ways from home. It was a simple fix but they had every stall filled except for one and they took my car ahead and reattached the hose in a matter of minutes. Other places told me it would b a day before they could get to it. Now the only was a service fantastic they saved me a lot of money! Thank you very much for helping me.
Not professional and unethical work, dont ever go here for any tire service specially when the employee gets commission on selling tires
Highly recommended and prices are great, compared to other service centers Ive been to. Service center is very helpful. Some services may take longer then expected but Id rather a complete, thorough repair then a quick in and out.
Polite and fast service. Always happy with their work.
Kind of a lousy experience, unfortunately. I was given the 9:00 appt slot for a quick nail removal, but did not get out for over an hour and a half. When I asked for an ETA, the younger of the two service desk managers told me my appointment time didnt matter, because two walk-ins were waiting in the parking lot at opening. He was very hostile, and even dropped some f-bombs openly to his co-worker after a frustrating call (not at me). It was an uncomfortable environment, I probably would avoid using them again. They did do a good job on my car in the end, and charged only what they quoted, to be fair.
No stars. First clerk picked wrong part number air filter. 10 mile round trip to exchange. 2nd clerk was rude, not apologetic, gave me a box with correct part number. While driving home, opened the box to find wrong part in box, not even close. Went back to store and 3rd clerk gave a refund. Dysfunctional staff and inventory control.
Good service. Had a 8:00am appointment. I had power steering problems, they fixed it by 10:00. I had asked the manager for a discount, and he gave me about 15% off.
I am a NEW customer to Pep Boys...I was treated very well by Jim in the tire dept at this location...I had just purchased a new tire for my trailer and it gave out on the tollway in the first 15 miles.. . I was pleased that Jim and Pep Boys stood behind thier product with out any grief. I was impressed at what a high level of service the staff is trained and inspired to....they cheerfully gave good service effortlessly. I commend them. Five stars guys! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks!
Listen Pep Boys is good for parts. I wouldnt ever use them for service though. Ive had a bad service experience with them as has just about everyone I know. They must scrape the bottom of the barrel for their techs. That being said they do tend to have a good selection of parts in stock. Only other problem is their location kinda sucks to get to / out of in certain directions.
Great place to go,friendly, knowledgeable people
I had a nail in a tire. Was stressing out. They were polite fast. I am going back when I need service
They open 7 days and Sunday’s! Great people easy to deal with and professionally done. Thank you
If you enjoy waiting 9 hours to get 2 tires replaced and an alignment done, then this is the place for you! This is even after you make an appointment. Walk-ins probably have to wait a minimum of 12 hours. If youd rather it take a normal amount of time and if you expect to be treated like a human being and not an annoyance when you come in to pick up your car, then you will probably want to go some place else. Anywhere else. I know I will.
Great took care of my tire super fast 👍 good service too
Thank God for Pep Boys. They really came thru in an emergency.
The guys there are so great, helpful, and fast! Wont go anywhere else. The prices are way cheaper than anywhere else as well.
Best place to get service hands down. Sometimes things take longer than expected and its not a problem for the great job they do. Thumbs up
Made an appointment for an 11am oil change and to replace one windshield wiper blade. They’ve done my car before so should have all the details, yes? No. At 12:40pm, they call me up to ask me what size engine I have. Because they, the authorities on cars, can’t figure it out. Alright. 1:53pm, I get my car back. Get in the car, leave, discover that it doesn’t have the blade I paid for. I return. They put one on and run inside. I start the car and discover they’ve put on the wrong blade, so it’s longer than the edge of the window. I call and they finally come outside and silently replace it, no apology. It’s 2:06pm, and I’m just now leaving.
Their technicians are pretty good. They fixed what needed to be fixed. But they could use some improvement on customer service. When I asked tech when the part would arrive from the dealer, the tech said, I would be on the phone with him right now IF I WASNT ON THE PHONE WITH YOU!Thats pretty crass !
I do not feel comfortable asking questions here. I felt talked down to because I wasnt knowledgeable about what I needed. Supplies are ok but customer service sucks.
Very nice on the phone but totally clueless and rude in person, couldnt even retrieve the codes from my car, Ill never go back even if they have a sale on what I need.
Very helpful employees. My tires are leaking air and they not only filled them up for me but talked about their services on how they would fic my problem and showed me which portable air compressor would be best if I didnt want to get my tires fixed at this time. Great customer service
The repair shop will charge you double the cost for a part you can buy at the store. An ignition coil costs $92 at Pep Boys...but they charge you $165 for the part if you have them install it plus labor. The job cost me $330 at Pep Boys.Through Auto Zone 90 bucks and ten minutes.Lesson learned after using Pep Boys for many years.
Car inspection for Uber and Lyft. Front desk Lady sounded $54. - Why? One car, one service and just 2 paper work. - No. Two Forms 2x$27=$54. - You are doing one job, car inspection for one car! So, $27. - No, this is our store policy. - May I talk to your supervisor? 4-6 min later Supervisor: - $27.I was completely frustrated: - Why Lady requested $54? - No, I did not!Stupid situation. Of course I left with final good buy - This is my last visit your store.
Fantastic service! I went to another Pep Boys in Matteson and they just seemed liked they didnt want to be bothered with me. I called the Orland store and even on the phone the service was soooooo much better. I got to the Orland store notices the difference as soon as I walked in. I was greeted in a friendly manner. They took my right away, even without an appointment. The wait time was short. The customer service rep at the counter was very courteous, friendly, polite and just overall awesome.Thank you for helping my day get better!
Good quality fast service. Needed a new tire and pep boys put it on in less than an hour on a busy Saturday
Did a great job troubleshooting my battery. Went above the call of duty. Friendly staff. Thank you
I used to use pep boys frequently through work, but now every time I need a part, it takes them a minimum of two tries ordering it to get the right one. They used to be great, not sure what happened.
Good customer service, but terrible mechanics! Paid over $400 for my brakes and rotors to be done. A week later my brakes were sounding TERRIBLE! I came back to this location and they fixed the problem “temporarily”. Two weeks later my brakes were squeaking AGAIN! Never get major work done to your vehicle at this location.
I had a set of tires installed and an oil change. Although I had an appointment and it took a few hours, I was pleased with the process. I will be back again.
Fast service, Jerry and Justin are very knowledgeable
I had an awful experience at PepBoys in Orland Park tonight! I walked into the store 5 min before closing (mind you the doors were still open and lights on!) Just to return something. As we were walking into the store guy working there asked what he can help us with because they are closing in few min. So I told him I just have a return. Right away he tells me he doesnt know if he can still help me. Then says did you buy it in this store? I didnt and I told him so- so he says he doesnt know if hell be able to help me then. At this point I knew I wont be helped in this store. I asked him why not? Since when stores dont expect returns from other location? Why doesnt it say so on their return policy if thats the case? The guy told me Im being rude when I asked him how come he cant pull up my receipt on his computer? Maybe because their computers were off already and he didnt feel like turning them on??? But he sure didnt feel like his fighting with me and being rude to me was wasting of his time. I am reaching out to customer service about this. I cant believe they can be so rude to you whenever they feel like it. They sure arent that rude when you are spending money in their store! Very disssapointed!
I had an appointment at 8am for an oil change. Steve at the counter said it would be a two hour wait, what?? When I asked why, he said customers schedule appointments online which conflict with appointments by phone so they get double and triple booked? You have 2-3 times the amount of customers booking appointments online rather than calling or showing up? Im suppose to believe that? That is Pep Boys problem, not their customers. Another employee spoke up and said theyre on a hiring freeze too! Id have a bad attitude like Steve too if I had to tell the same BS story to customers all day long in an attempt to justify a 2 hour wait for an oil change. Needless to say, I went across the street to Oil and Auto Experts and got an oil change in literally less than 10 minutes. My parents and I have used Pep Boys many times over the years but I think its time to give someone else a try.
I made an appointment for Pep Boys to check my brakes. Appointment was on Saturday 11/7 at 8:30 am. Got there at 8:20am and spoke to the Manager, George, who said it would be about an hour before they got to my vehicle. Then why make an appointment for 8:30????? At 9:05 I asked George about how much longer it would be and he snaps back at me I told you and hour. At 9:40 an hour and ten minutes later; after seeing other customers come in and be taken care of, I told George to give me my keys back as I was going somewhere else for brakes. He gave me my keys back and said thanks. I would think that if George knew what he was doing the first thing he would of said, you will be next BUT Georges lack of customer service and Pep Boys lack of management training showed their true colors. In my opinion George is too arrogant to be service manager at Pep Boys. This store will never get my business again.
Jim Zouras, best service adviser ever. Mechanics Mark and Bob are exceptional and expect your car to feel like new each time you have it serviced at this Orland Park location.
They advertise oil change for $19.95 and hit you with a big bill of $50. Skyway robbery!! But dont worry, Ill stick with Firestone great prices!
Pretty busy Saturday had an appointment and they got me out pretty quickly
Went in to fix my alignment and get new tires work done good but seems like they drove my car because gas tank was on full and picked it up at the halfway mark spoke to manager and was told they have to drive it to test work done but half a tank to test drive ?????
Repaired one problem just to ask for more repair money to fix a part that they broke during the initial service. Ok place for an oil change or replace a broken lamp. But save the costly repairs for a auto mechanics shop. Keep in mind that this is a store to sell batteries and cleaning supplies for your car.
Curtious service, and prompt thanks Pep Boys.
Be careful if you look up parts on pep boys website because in store they will be a completely different price
Good service but had property stolen from my van. Bought it before i went to get service and after i got vehicle back, property was missing from its bag
Quick and accurate. Good reception but a little pricy though
My go to Auto parts chain in Orland Park. I get regular emails from them that offer super discounts that bring prices down to e commerce equivalent.
Prompt and inexpensive service visit. Jim Zouras was especially accommodative and helpful. Very satisfied.
I went for a service, with out telling me, they changed my new tire. just a months ago, I bought that tire from costco which has a warranty for 90K. I drove less than 3K and they changed the tire. They didnt give me the changed tire. When i complain about it, they offer me the payment & told me that they will send the check and i will receive it within 5 weeks. Till now (after 3 months), I didnt get any check from them.
Pete in the service department is the best! Very polite, friendly and helpful.
The rudest people i have ever met. Asked the parts guy about a air filter and was told they dont carry it and just go to a dealership. The other person wanted a price on shocks, asked if they carry shocks and if there was were the shocks display. Said yes they sell shocks and very rudely said behind the counter and walked away. I will never go there ever again. PS I found the same filter part at Auto Zone right down the street for $5.00.
I would give a half star if i could. Im here now trying to get a patch on my tire, the tire isnt even on my truck now i took it off. They said it would be 1 hr. Its going on 2 hr right now. I told them they dont even have to put it back on i just need it fix so i can go, she tells me all 3 tech are busy and they will get to it when they can. Its not busy in here at all,i just dont under stand it takes 15 min to do the job if you know what your doing and dont even have to put it back on the truck.
Excellent service and attention to detail. Mgr Steve is the best!
Finally a parts counter woman absolutely professional and knows what it takes to make a sale
Always good and fast service. Fair prices.
Pep Boys store #817 on 159th and LaGrange Rd in Orland Park replaced a Moog Control arm w/ ball joint and a Cardone driver side Reman CV axle on Monday, January 1st, and the following day I took my car back to Pep Boys because it was not starting and there was a burning smell coming from under the hood. They told me on Wednesday, January 3rd, that I had a transmission fluid leak and that they had to replace the battery and a transmission gasket to stop the leak. I picked up my SUV at 7:00 PM on Wednesday and by 8:00 PM the same day, my SUV stalled and would not go into gear and I had it towed back to the store on 159th and LaGrange Rd.On Thursday morning I spoke with Justin, who was very professional and helpful from the very beginning. He knows that I have spent over $2000 in the last 5 weeks at Pep Boys trying to get my SUV fixed.Justin told me on Thursday morning that the “Master Mechanic” had overlooked the source of the leak. He said the transmission fluid leak was not from the gasket at all. He said that after looking at it again, the mechanic found that the leak was coming from a “bearing” where the CV axle connects to the transmission, and he suggested that I take my SUV to a transmission specialist instead. My friend took me to pick up my SUV yesterday, Thursday, January 4th at 7:00 PM. She and I went into the store to pick up my keys and paperwork, and a guy named Steven said that Justin had “briefed” him on the issue with my SUV, and I asked him if it was ok to drive it straight to a Transmission Shop in Chicago, and he said “yes, but I would recommend that you make a straight shot without any pit stops”. My friend heard Steven telling me it that was ok to drive my SUV straight to the transmission shop in Chicago.I drove my SUV for just 8 blocks, and it stalled on me at a red light on 151st and LaGrange. The Orland Park Police came and had to redirect traffic until another tow truck arrived. I had my SUV towed back to the Pep Boys on 159th and LaGrange. I was very upset when I arrived at the Pep Boys Shop, and I told Steven that I wanted the axle removed and replaced properly. He said “Jim will talk to you in the morning”. He was referring to Jim Zouras, the Store Service Manager. The whole incident was sheer negligence on the part of Pep Boys, their mechanic, and the Store Service Manager. If it was unsafe to drive my vehicle, they should have made it abundantly clear to me when I picked up the keys. They should have written on the paperwork “Car unsafe to drive”. Instead, they just tried to wash their hands and pretend they did nothing wrong. Luckily, my car stalled at a red light, but I could have gotten into a serious accident or caused a serious accident because of their negligence. I have spent over $2000 at Pep Boys, and I am still unable to drive my SUV because of their inept “Master Mechanic”.Jim Zouras was very rude and refused to accept any responsibility. He told me that he was not touching my SUV again because they did not ask me to have my SUV towed back to his store.I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at this Pep Boys location, and I would not go back there again for anything other than buying light bulbs or plugging a tire since I already paid for the road hazard insurance on my Michelin tires.I urge the Pep Boys Corporate Office to implement strict policies on letting customers know when their vehicle is unsafe to drive. This is a very serious matter, and it should not be taken lightly or simply brushed aside as just another complaint from a disgruntled customer.
Dont go here or any other pep boys. Work done, oil change, tire rotation, tension strut, wheel alignemnt control arm and inner tie rod bushing/removal. Paid about $650.Called Pep boys on 08/29/2017 to make an app my car was not running great, so I dropped off my car at about 1240 pm right before my shift started. At about 6pm they called saying the car was ready to be picked up, and so I had to leave work to be dropped off at Pep Boys to pick up my car. I paid my balance then walked out. As i was testing to see if my car was running better than before I noticed I could not hear my Subs (subwoofer). I instantly tried to resolve the problem inside the car and realized I could not. I opened the hood of the car just to see that the woofer fuses were completely burnt and were not connected. I go back into the store, and ask the guy who worked on my car what happened to my fuse?. The guy instantly said that they were supposed to let me know when I first arrived that they accidentally broke the fuse. At this point im furious because they did not mention it to me while I was inside and kept repeating that it was put in poorly that it could have happened anyway. Even though I had everything installed by a professional. So the next day I called customer service, they took my complaint and assured me they would call back within 48 hours. Which they did not. Now to make matters even worse, my car was over heating last night and engine check light went on. I took it to a different shop so they can tell me the problem and they told me that the oil sensor started to leak and the coolant reservoir has a hole. Problems all caused by work done previously at PEP BOYS. I did not pay to get it fixed again I am car less because I was advised not to drive till fixed and I want something done now. A week went by from 8/29 and they never called so today 09/07/2017 I had my sister call to check the status and they told me to wait another 24 hours. This is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable
Staff is friendly, prices are fair and they always take great care of my service vehicles!
Good to know that this place actually does the work you pay them to do unlike some other shops
Helpful employees. Little to no wait at the parts counter Everytime I go there
Horrible, no air filter in stock, appointment time was inaccurate, not in system. 2 hrs for a oil change
Scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 11am and was told it was going to be about an hour so I said sure and had someone pick me up to go to the store. I went back at 1pm and was told it didn’t even go in yet and 2 people were still ahead of me. Thanks for wasting my time. I took it to Jiffy Lube and was done in 10-15 minutes. Customer service at Pepboys is awful.
Very good services for my car! I like it very much!
Steve at the front desk is amazing in customers service.Service is fast and friendly.
Jim in the service department was very friendly. Great turn around time as well.
I had a 9 appointment for an oil change I was here at 5 minutes till 9 it is now 9:40 and I think theyre just pulling the car in now if I going to Jiffy Lube I would be on my way home be on my way home. This will be my last time at Pep Boysbeen here 1 1/2 hours just for an oil change with an appointment, never, never againI just got my car back an hour and 42 minutes for an oil change with an appointment. This is terrible service into the owner who wants me to email you have dozens of reviews on here with people with the same issue if you havent fixed it before youre not going to fix it now so thank you anyway
Went there for oil change and tire rotation. very nasty customer service from the start, the customer rep couldnt find our online appointment but he treated us like its our fault! The tire rotation should be free since we purchased the tires there. We asked them if the tires got rotated and they said they did but it turned out they didnt (we know because we left marks on each tire) and they still charged us over $30 for service that was never provided! They ended up telling us that its Pep Boys policy that they dont go by manufacturers guidelines if measurements on tires show equal. Whatever the policy that they hold, they treated customers with dishonesty, worst customer service. Not going back there again!
Really really BAD service. I waited tow truck for over 1.5hour when they said 40min. When I called them back to know what happened, they just canceled my service because they were busy and saying I need to wait another 90min. for two truck. They said they couldnt reach me eventhough they have my phone number!
You guys seriously saved me! I need tires, had a flat, and you saved me from not having to break my daughters heart by not getting to go for long car drive to summer camp!
I had my control arms replaced alost a year ago I paid $600. Today I went to a mechanic since I herd a noise. He told me it was lower control arm. So I called pepboys and Mike was on the phone with me. He told me my control arms were under warranty but Id have to pay for labor. I asked how much labor would be and he told me $600. That does not make sense I told mike. Mike told me on the phone it make perfect sense that I pay that. I told him it should be lower than $600 because I payed that same $600 a yearfor my control arms all together. Mike told me to come so they can look at it. I have spent $2700 in a course of 3 years of me owning my car. I will be asking for my part since its under warranty heading to a different shop wIll do it cheaper. My parents and I have spent so much money here over the years on our car repairs. You can look up the repairs we have had by you guys at pepboys. I feel like this shop cares more about taking advantage of people for money. I understand stand that the auto techs male a living but I feel like I have over paided since I have brought my car. I have been a loyal customer and this feels like a slap in my face
I suspected that I had a bad rear wheel bearing on my Nissan 350Z. PepBoys confirmed the bearing was worn out and that it had gotten welded to the wheel hub. PepBoys had to contact the Nissan dealer to obtain a replacement wheel hub. They still managed to complete the repair in a reasonable amount of time and I was able to pick up my car the same day.
They were honest thats rare
