I had a cheddar bagle and a cappuccino. The bagel was yummy but could use 30 more seconds of toast to get the crunch to offset the cream cheese. The 4 star and not 5 star is because the cuppa had no latte art. For small cafes like these, I expect a bit more that starbucks.Staff were friendly. The place is super mask friendly but would let you eat in. It seems lot of regulars dropped in for to go. Will visit again. Note, the place is vegan so you cant have a dairy cuppa or latte.

This place is a godsend!! I am so glad that Mud Pie is paving the path towards a future full of more delicious, earth-conscious, cruelty-free food. I have taken all of my non-vegan friends to this place and it has changed their opinions on vegan food forever. I highly recommend the muffins, cinnamon rolls, and breakfast biscuit sandwich. I always get either an iced oat milk latte or an iced oat milk mocha— both are heavenly.

Somehow they manage to make vegan muffins and other pastries that taste better than regular ones. And they also happen to have the best coffee in KC in my opinion.

Its the only vegan place I get excited about visiting. Their muffins and other pastries are fantastic. And the coffee is excellent as well.

I had the cheddar & sausage scone and the coconutz bar. The scone was great both in flavor and texture. The bar was creamy-smooth and basically melted in my mouth. I could easily eat here every day and not get tired of it. The best part is not having to ask about ingredients because everything is vegan.

A group of friends met up here so we could all grab a snack and coffee and hangout. We chose to go here because one of our friends has some bad good allergies so vegan is the easiest solution for them.I would go back for the food any time. The apple sage sausage scone and pumpkin cake with cream cheese were amazing. Our friend with the allergies even said it tasted real. I concur, if I didnt know it was vegan ahead of time Id never have guessed it.The staff were very friendly and helpful with all of our questions.

This place is amazing! All of their food is vegan and you would never know it by taste. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant so its awesome to come here and get things that wont make him sick but still are incredibly delicious.

Mud Pie serves cute seasonal treats and classic favorites. I love the original shop in Westport, but the new location at 95th & Metcalf has all the same goods and is super easy to get to. The lemon cake is always amazing. My husband likes the coffee here better than I do, but everyone, vegan or not, loves the treats.

I went in the first time last weekend. I purchased two items, a coconut chocolate chip bar and a tart cherry orange muffin. The first was good but the muffin totally rocked. It was dense, moist, and tasted homemade from your own kitchen. I will be back.

Wow ginger peary muffin! So good. I couldnt decide on which muffin to get but this one was so delicious. Totally worth trying bakery.

Visited for the first time today while waiting for my car- no pie being served despite the name of the place! Interesting selection of other non-pie baked goods though and everything you would expect from a neighborhood coffee shop. Floors were pretty dirty (lots of people enjoying their baked treats messily apparently 😁) and a few ants crawled on me while I was working on my laptop but overall a nice place!

Today I tried Mud Pie for the first time and the staff was super friendly. They recommended the breakfast sandwich and the lemon blueberry muffin so I got one of each. Let me tell you- this food is AMAZING. I have a dairy and egg allergy so finding bakery items that I can eat can be tough and I never thought I’d eat a breakfast sandwich again. The cheese tasted REAL. I was so impressed. I’m so excited that I gave this place a try and can’t wait to try more goodies!

Yum. I received a gift card and had never been. I was pleasantly surprised. The items tasted delicious and I wouldnt have guessed the were vegan. They also had a good selection of gluten free bakery items as well!

I let the cashier know it was my first visit and she was very patient and helpful. I ordered a small coffee...Dirty South cause I was not sure if I would like it....Well I loved it and wished I had ordered a larger size. Will definitely go back. Workers were very friendly.

I no longer live in KS as of a week ago and I already miss this place! I only just found out about it around a month or two before moving. Love the atmosphere, love the service, love the chai and LOVE their treats. You guys are awesome, always so friendly and whoever bakes the goodies, 10/10 stuff!

I don’t know why it has taken me so long to start coming consistently. In the past I’ve just order cupcakes for the rare special occasion but last week I got a latte and I’ve been back 3 times for breakfast, lattes, and other sweet treats. I have the pickiest 3 year old eater the world has ever seen and he inhaled the baked pumpkin donut to my extreme surprise and delight, yeah it’s that good!

Yummy vegan pastries with excellent gluten-free options. Decent seating for joining friends to stitch and b#$&h. The majority of the sitting is tables and metal chairs/wood booths. Not much comfy seating for more than one or two people. The food and coffee make up for it though.

I absolutely Love this place and have been coming for the past 4 or so years and have never had any issues and I really dislike posting complaints. I ordered a gluten free Chorizo Scone and gluten free Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich. Both were amazing and flavorful, but as I was finishing my chorizo scone I munched down on a piece of plastic that looked as if someone cut off the corner of a package and it made it’s way into the dough. It surprised me because I’ve never had that happen with the goodies here before. I’m still going to come back in the future because I love MudPie, I just hope it was a fluke accident.

Everything is vegan and absolutely out-of-this-world delicious. Whats not to love?? I have to go there every time Im nearby!

I ordered 4 gluten-free items including their brownie and the chorizo biscuit. They had clearly been prepared a day or two before, and weren’t very fresh. The service was also slow. The staff was pleasant and the coffee was fair though.There are many awesome coffee shops around here, this was not one of my favorites.

This is my go-to shop for pastries and coffee alike. They have the best gluten free pastries and I love the selections they have for non-dairy substitutes for their coffees/tea. My stomach cannot handle a lot of coffees so I get their jasmine almond green tea latte and it is so good! They can also make cakes/cupcakes for special occasions. The staff is always so friendly and sincere. Even when you come in pretty late, you are met with friendly faces!

I love that this unassuming coffee shop and bakery is in an otherwise pretty commercial area of OP. They have great coffee and baked goods that happen to be vegan. Theyre so good whether or not youre vegan, so give them a try! Recently, I got a piece of apple crumb cake, a ginger and pear muffin, and a lavender almond milk latte, and I got two breakfasts out of it.

Its all vegan! Friendly staff, good food and coffee, cute space.

Mud Pie is one of my favorite bakeries. I am not vegan or gluten-free by necessity but by choice. Even if I were not choosing to eat better, I still believe this bakery is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and always takes the time to explain things. The coffee is not the best in the world, but a great addition to the bakery. I wish there were more locations because I have to do drive ways to get it.Keep it up!

I really love this place! Ive not had anything I didnt enjoy. The prices for what you got (portion and quality) are fantastic. Ive been to both locations (this one and the 39th street one), and both had the same amazing quality at each. Even if youre not vegan, youd enjoy this place! The food is so delectable that you cant tell its vegan. Will definitely keep this place as a staple choice in KC.

My favorite! treats are made with holistic ingredients, so expect a unique experience. their cold brew is the best Ive had. their lattes are really great too. anything can be vegan, and they have many gluten free options with the treats. know that the coffee you can purchase to make at home will require a coffee grinder.. youre buying beans.

The Mud Pie bakery is an establishment that I have been visiting since it opened. It is very near and dear to my heart, and everything they serve there makes my stomach growl. Their food and drinks are both amazing, and I cant even tell that theyre made vegan- which is amazing, as usually one can tell. You get what you pay for here- amazing, great tasting items. The establishment is clean and beautiful, and the staff are intelligent and kind. Highly highly recommend.

Mud pies is one of my favorite little spots. The workers are always extremely friendly and the baked goods are delicious. Vegans and nonvegans alike should check it out! I recommend getting a coffee, a savory treat, and a sweet treat to try it all out. Happy eating friends!

Just visited Mud Pie Bakery in Overland Park. Bought a buttafinga, banana Muffin, and a Lemon Blueberry Muffin. The treats were amazing, but the service received is below a one star ! The girl that rang my family and i up apparently felt as if black people did not belong in their establishment, there are definitely black vegans out there and our money is just as green as any other customer! It should not matter what nationality you are, we all deserve to receive the same level of respect and hospitality! I will definitely not return!

With the plexiglass shield over the doorway and a mask over the clerks mouth to protect us, I could barely hear what she was saying. The vegan brownies were dry and not the best Ive had and the blueberry crumble was as dry as a Sahara sand dune.

Love love love this place! They have the best tea and coffee around, plus all your vegan and gluten free baked goods!! The oatmeal raisin are my favorite!! They are so flavorful, unlike most oatmeal raisin.

We loved this place as it is basically the only spot for vegan goodies in the area! As you can see, we didnt hold back! Everything was very good but you HAVE to try the pumpkin sheet cake. OMG. We went in around 11 am and they had a good variety of treats to choose from which was very refreshing!

I went here for the third time today, and the cupcake and cookie were excellent. If you want quality baked goods to bring to your home, I would recommend this place!However, if you want to buy and pastry and sit and do work or chat with a friend, I would not recommend this place. I sat down on their bench and my pants promptly caught on a nail and nearly ripped. The staff apologized and covered the nails with tape and a note. However, at about 5:40 two staff members began loudly discussing how they have things to do later that night. One woman told a story about a time customers stayed until 6:10 pm and, “I didn’t get out of here until 7:30.” They continued along this line until I left about 5 minutes later. I felt embarrassed, as if somehow I was inconveniencing them by finishing my tea and pastry 20 minutes before close. As I was the only person in the store, it was clear that this information was targeted at me. Can’t say I’m eager to repeat the experience.

They dont just make the best Vegan treats, they make the best baked goods around. The flavor is tops, but something about the texture is what I love the most. Great, now my mouth is watering again.

Ok, so I REALLY want to give a better review because I really want this place to stay in the neighborhood, but as of right now, I dont ever go here even though I could literally walk to it. Hopefully the owner will see this review and want to make these improvements!1) Its amazing that they make their own coconut milk, but it is WAY too sweet. Keep making your own, but it would be awesome if you had a less sweet option!2) I get matcha lattes when I go and because the coconut milk is too sweet, I got almond milk this time. The cup was barely full and the tea was just weak. It is just not worth the $$.3) I feel like every time I have gone in, there isnt music playing or it randomly stops playing while Im there. Music is so important for good atmosphere and when its not playing, its kind of awkward to be in there (or any public place for that matter)4) Their Midtown location is always good and the staff seem to be very experienced. This Overland Park location seems to be staffed with new/inexperienced employees.Again, I REALLY want Mud Pie to stay right where it is. We need a good coffee shop in the area, not to mention a vegan one. But to get my business, theyre going to need to step it up.

This place is a MUST for vegans! I love going here and getting the sandwiches (chicn salad). The mocha coffee is good. The sugar cookies and scones are awesome too! One day I will get a donut.

Love this place!!! Vegans and nonvegans frequent this place because everything is made from scratch. If you stop you must get a pumpkin sheet cake and a sausage cheddar biscuit scone. Catch them on days they have kolaches and you wont regret it!

Vegan Deliciousness!! When hubby and I want to treat our sweet tooth, this is our go-to. Not the best location or most comfortable, homey shop, but the food makes up for its shortcomings.

Excellent all plant based bakery. Many sweet treats to choose from with some savory options. With the opening of this new location last week they are planning to add more sandwiches and other savory options. Great coffee options as well.

Eat their espresso chip muffin!! You will not regret it. Also, if you like lattes that arent crazy sweet the cinnamon latte is excellent.

The Classic Smoothie is my personal favorite at Mud Pie! They also have a wide range of iced tea selections. The decor and atmosphere are charming and lovely, and the outdoor seating also is roomy and is a nice addition.

This place has the best almond milk latte I have ever had. It was so creamy and not too sweet. Also the people were so nice and fast too.

I am not vegan but this place is great, even without the animal products. Also, the staff is nice and not stuffy like some specialty places. I feel totally at home despite the fact that I am not as cool as most of the people who dine there.

Their 39th street location has a great ambience. OP location is short in that category. It could feel a little congested. Otherwise, it is very nice place for coffee and snacks.

This is the best place in JoCo for vegan goodies. They usually have some savory breakfast options as well. Coffee is good, shots well-pulled. Baristas are friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is down-to-earth and comfortable. Good place to hang out alone or with friends.

Excellent customer service. I order a London fog tea latte and a gluten-free rocky mount cake. The cake tasted so chocolaty rich, I recommend it to all chocolate lovers.
