Let me start off by saying Mike was fantastic! We had questions about some current rings we had, settings and more. Mike was more than professional, personable and welcoming. He was able to answer them, help us, give us ideas we hadn’t thought of. Sized our rings, give us insight, i had such an appreciation for the knowledge he had about the industry and jewelry.It was really refreshing after being in some places that can be pushy or just know the basic details without very much helpful information. Super excited to come back into town and meet with mike in the future :)

I had a wonderful experience at Jared’s in Overland Park! I had ordered a ring enhancer through Jared’s and my engagement ring did not fit into the enhancer properly. The associate, Sandra was a delight. She was very helpful and helped my engagement ring dreams come true! They were able to fit my engagement ring in the enhancer and the outcome was beautiful. I will visit this location for all of my jewelry needs, especially if I am able to work with Sandra again!

I recently had 2 batteries replaced for 2 Movado watches. Jessica was very kind to me. She treated me as a valued customer. Since I live out of the area of the store, the watches were being sent to me. I had purchased a tag watch this past year. The manager Mike Chancellor was very nice to me. Thank you for being so kind to me. Excellent customer service !

Had been having my rings rodium plated there for 10+years. They always advise that all stones are checked and if loose they have charged me to repair. Had rings in in to rodium plate October and presumed standard procedure to check stones was done. Two weeks later a smaller stone out of the diamond ring fell out?! Luckily I found it took back in and they repaired. Again presumed all stones get checked as stated in past. three weeks later large 1 CT center stone missing and this time I cannot locate stone. Took ring back and asked what they can do for me and how they did not see any weakness or prong loosening on previous two visits. Jessica, who claims she was the store manager briefly listened to my and quickly absolved Jared from all responsibility said they did not warranty repair. Said I must have hit on my dishwasher and that it was user error? What is that not normal wear and tear? Quickly said they could offer nothing in compensation and that Im out of luck. After those statements she open door to let me out and was dead silent no words of good bye or sorry we couldnt help... NOTHING just stood there silent... Poor customer service skills for a supposed manager!? Will no longer patronize the store. Customers need to feel like a jeweler honors and back workmanship.

My fiance and I love visiting this location! He purchased my engagement ring here in Spring 2016, and said everyone was so helpful and answered all of his questions. The same is true of me when I purchased his wedding ring!This past weekend, we took my engagement/wedding band set in to get soldered, and the service had a quick turn-around time (about 2 hours.) We visited with Jessica (the general manager) for a long while about our past experiences (how great theyve been!), as well as about the watches they have. She was so helpful in answering all of our questions.Highly recommend this location! You will not be disappointed!

2 weeks ago I went in and spent what was to me a good deal of money. I had been keeping cash set aside so the future Fiance wouldnt see a transaction on our checking account. So I walked in with a stack of cash, picked out the ring that I knew she wanted, provided a Diamond for them to set. I asked for a total and joked about a cash discount. The Assistant Manager was the one helping me (Ryan) he did not take my joke lightly and said back rudely No we dont. So with the sheet he pulled (came in and sized my Fiance 3 weeks before hand) and after I paid him and opted not to charge the extended warranty at that moment for reasons stated above he said the ring should be done later today. I went picked it up everything seemed fine, popped the question and instructed my Fiance to head into the store the next day per Ryans suggestion so they could tell her how to care for it and I mentioned that she should tell them the ring fits loose and that they might have sized her wrong. I was OUTRAGED when she told me what they said to her the next day. She walked in spoke to Ryan and Michelle - she was informed that they would not do anything to re-size the ring unless I paid for the $170 warranty or I she could pay the $44 then and they would re-size it, because I obviously had spent my last penny buying her ring and I couldnt afford to spend the extra month on anything for her. They went on to mention that I did not purchase the diamond that they showed me and that the one I had was a cheap one. Keep in mind at this point I have spent $3,000 on her ring I dont consider that to be cheap but it was within my budget. I have left a message for the district manager I expect a return call, I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. It PAINS me to tell people where I got the ring and IF they had that exact ring elsewhere I would have bought it even if it cost more money.

I WAS IN THERE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND WAS HELPED BY ALISHA AND IT WAS BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN A JEWELRY STORE. SHE LISTENED TO EVERYTHING I HAD TO SAY, EXPLAINED THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF BUYING THE RING AND GAVE ME SOME LESSONS IN BUYING RINGS, WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY LOVELY. I am very displeased with this lack of professionalism this business has. I honestly did not even want to give it a star. We walked in to receive our wedding band that we had ordered and put a deposit on four months ago only to find out the man who was working with us cancelled our order two weeks after we put the deposit down but then issued himself a gift card with the amount that we paid for the deposit. My ring was a custom order which he called us back to say it was going to be an extra hundred dollars to make. He no longer works there and Ryan (assistant manager) didnt even apologize, they did absolutely nothing to make things better. Sonya was the only one who sympathized but it was beyond her control. Not only did I call corporate I called the store manager and asked for a call back which she has yet to call us to discuss this matter. This incident occurred two weeks prior to our wedding. Thank God for Shane Co. we were able to get our ring within two days! I will never step foot into this store again, they are lucky they received one purchase from us which was my husbands ring. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY COUPLE BUYING THEIR WEDDING RINGS!!

This is almost going to be a bad review for the other company I visited, and a positive review for Jared, all in the same review!Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews on here. I went in to do engagement ring shopping here and ultimately decided to buy from Jared because of my experience. Ray and Ryan were very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and didnt put unbelievable pressure on me like another store I went to. Im in sales myself so I look for good service and nice/not pushy reps when I go to make a big purchase. I went into another local jewelry store at the shops at Deer Creek Woods as well. I told the lady there I had just started looking and ONLY looking right when I got there. I liked their presentation as its bssically a crash course in diamonds, but she pressured me intensely several times trying to get me to buy it right then and there. It was to the point of making it awkward. I dont like sales reps that dont listen to prospects let alone their customers.Bottom line. Good service, reps, and pricing. I will be going back to this Jared location for my band and encouraging my fiancé to.

When looking for an engagement ring, Jareds was great. They seemed to bend over backwards to get your money, but the second they get your money they look for ways to screw you. They dont value their customers once you have made that purchase. We have had nothing but problems after problems with this particular store in Overland Park. We have returned the ring to get it fixed and they never get it right. We tried to exchange the wedding band for two others, and pay the difference but they are making us pay a few hundred dollars in addition because they are inconsiderate and ignorant. Unfortunately we have money invested in these rings and they wont give us our money back. Save yourself the headache and go to any other jeweler. Dont even bother going to their sister companies. These people are crooks. They want your money and will say whatever they can to reel you in and then rape you financially. TRUST ME! Go somewhere else!!!

Spent $3k on earrings/necklace. Month later, diamond is loose on one of the earrings. Theyve only been worn a handful of times. They wanted $50 to fix it. We JUST bought them. Beware, they do NOT stand by their products. Its probably their way of punishing buyers for not buying their overpriced protection plans. I could understand not covering something a couple years after puchase, but WEEKS after purchase?Ill be taking my business elsewhere next time. Never again.

Nothing but issues out of this location. Always something wrong from the time we walked out the door with my wifes rings. Unfortunately we could not return it because it was custom and took so long to make that we were out of the return period. They scratched her original stone, polished it out after confrontation (it was clearly scratched when they handed it to us and tried to say it was not), got a new stone, took it home and the prongs fell apart weeks later, took in for repair and they broke the stone in half, manager gave us a new stone. A few weeks later the prongs fell apart again. Now my wife is stuck with an expensive ring she hates. They were nice about it until the last issue when they told her she must be wearing it wrong to cause it to have issues... Do not waste your time with these people. Started having the Lenexa location do the inspections, much better customer service and they repaired the prongs in a condition that we have not had an issue in a year. Buyers beware, stay away!

Bought my wedding band from Jareds but my engagement ring from a different store. The band from Jareds is 100% covered but they would not solder it bc my ring was from somewhere else. 3 months after getting married, TWO diamonds are missing from the Jareds band and they wont fix it because of the diamond in my engagement ring. I cannot express how badly I regret buying the ring through this store.Awful customer service, terrible sales people, and we are extremely unhappy with this store going back on their word. Seriously dissatisfied and upset that we wasted money here.

The guy was initially trying to charge me $36 for removing a few links out of my watch. It can be done for free at other places. This was only place that was open at the time. I ended up paying $10 to get the links removed. The staff were nice and cooperative afterwards. Dont assume your customers are idiots by initially quoting them $36 to remove a few watch links.

Rude sales people. Did not feel welcome at all. The salesman was okish at first but acted like we were inconveniencing him and had a very condescending tone to match his attitude. The attitude got progressively worse and the salesman made snyde comments as well as being literally no help at all. I guess theyre only nice and caring to customers they see as worthy. Going back to our family owned jeweler to buy my wedding band and engagement ring. Not worth my time or money and probably will never go to another Jared just because of the bad experience this left me with. Would give 0 stars if I could.

My fiance and I came in looking for wedding bands as well as a new engagement ring for me, but had an awful experience here. No one greeted us, and when I made eye contact and smiled at one of their sellers hoping to get some service, the man excused himself and walked to another counter. When we finally had someone decide to help she only pulled rings that were 2-3 times our budget while trying to push a credit card on my fiance to pay for it all. I was appalled. Overall terrible experience, and will not be returning for anything in the future.

The location on 135th and Glenwood did not acknowledge us at all when we walked in the door. Im not normally that likes to factor RACE into a situation, but a couple of a different color walked in afterwards and got a warm welcome. I cant even give them the benefit of the doubt that we might have just been missed because I met eye contact with one of the ladies and I said hello with no response. This location is closer to home so I have to go even further to get service. Normally I would have just said forget it, but the Jared on 95th is always good to us. Plus this is already an emotional day because this is my wifes dogs birthday that passed. She is already in an emotional state. Please do better Jared.

I have to say first off that the salespeople at the store were very helpful when I was searching for my wifes engagement ring. I was also able to find a diamond that I really liked and really fit the custom ring that I wanted made. I received the ring a couple days late, (nothing serious) and she was very happy with it. That is where my positive comments unfortunately end. Since receiving the ring and purchasing the wedding band, six stones have fallen out. I fortunately purchased the service plan, so we have been able to get the stones replaced, however I believe that six times is too many. Also, the first time we went to replace the stones, they took over a week to replace (after telling us it would be 3 days). The second time we had to replace stones, they were very friendly when we complained, but still took a week to replace. When we received the rings back, the jeweler, rather than using the same sapphires in the engagement ring, used a different sized stone and set it into the ring off center. I know that seems petty but it is very noticeable when you look at the ring. This last time we went to get, you guessed it, more stones to replace. My wife complained directly to the service person and they directed her to the manager. The manager could not be bothered though and my wife was left waiting over 30 minutes before not being allowed to talk to the manager. They assured us that the ring would be ready in 3-4 days. After 11 days, we called and they told us that there had been a delay. Magically about a half hour later they were able to get the ring done which leads me to believe that they either lost it, or didnt care enough to be timely in its repair. I feel very stuck because I have spent a good deal of money on rings there as well as service plans so I can either continue to go and deal with their woefully inadequate jeweler, or go pay full price each time we need maintenance at a quality jeweler. I would not recommend this store to anyone looking for quality jewelry. The salespeople are very nice, but the jeweler at this particular establishment is a joke, and the management has been less than helpful. Any guys looking for an engagement ring, please consider a different vendor, you and your potential mate would be much better off going with a quality product. I can tell you that the process of getting engaged/married can be very stressful and both of you would be better off not worrying about your jewelry being a rip off.
