I asked for a choppy bob that angled in the front, length just below my chin. Instead I got a straight cut just below my ears no angle in the front. I now have the hair cut of a 9 year old boy from the 90s. Im angry and just want to cry. Normally I have a great experience at this location but it was my first time using Connie and I will never go back to her.

Take my kids here every year for back to school cuts. The girls always do a great job. Always friendly. Got 3 kids cuts and I was out in 35 minutes

I went to get my hair and eyebrows waxed after a year of not having it done. The reason for the haircut was it was getting to be a tangled mess and to long. I told the stylist what i was getting the same style i always get. She did my eyebrows first which i was pleased with washed my hair. Started to get the haircut told her I wanted it to my shoulders well she started to cut my hair didnt even get all the dead ends from my hair in other areas basically she just trimmed the back and my bangs started drying my hair didnt even finish drying my hair so she could fit a walk in customer in i was in the hair salon no more than 20 minutes I could of done this haircut myself at home and saved me the money. I always had a good experience there in the past and my hair always looked great. This time i feel it was rushed and I didnt get the haircut i paid for.

I was a walk-in customer who just wanted a simple brow wax. I had been before and had no trouble when a family friend worked there. I had not been to a salon in over a year due the the pandemic but I had wanted to give salons a chance to see how they were handling the necessary precautions as I have never had a problem with them in the past. The girl who did my eyebrows seemed fine and was eager to just have another customer in between a hair coloring she was waiting on to finish proofing. I debated on getting a trim as well and I told her as much. So when I sat down, little did I think I would be walking out with mismatched eyebrows, a sour taste in my mouth of the joint and wanting to leave a review— my first one ever.As she was starting, the radio had on some controversial topics like the stimulus. This stylist proceeded to tell me her opinion on the matter as she was painting the wax on my eyebrow, and I was shocked at first. And then I said, “Well my industry shut down for almost six months and the work that I do isn’t being done the way it was before. So I picked up a retail job and that doesn’t even help make ends meet. That stimulus is helping me.” And then she asked how long it had been since I got them done. I told her it had been about a year, and it was due to the virus. I explained how I had been cautious for many reasons and that’s why I hadn’t been to a salon in over a year. And that too was a sore spot in which I spent time defending my position after she scoffed at my reasoning. I’m sitting there, paying money for a service to be done because I decided to trust a business for the service they provide, especially when it is up close and personal like waxing; and I’m getting insulted for respecting a virus we still don’t know much about.When she finished, she asked how they looked and upon inspection, I found a rather large piece of the start of my brow missing in the middle on the right brow straight above the inner eye. I asked her if it was just an accident and she began to immediately defend her work and asked if I had a scar. I said no, and that this hadn’t before. But I let it go, just so I could get out of there. I paid, grabbed my coat and forgot my hat to which I came back for right away.It is now two days later, and I am still fuming. This is the reason for writing this. I also noticed this morning how uneven they were done and it just makes me mad. After a year of not getting any service done, the simplest of service could not be performed professionally or skillfully. It’s an utter disappointment. The entire interaction was really not at all the experience I had remembered having at Sam’s before. I won’t be going back.

I love it here!!! Rylie did my brows quick and efficient just how I like when getting my brows done:) love how she also confirmed what I wanted done with my brows before she waxed! Definitely coming back;)

Hit or miss in my experiences. Been going there for years and some stylists are certainly better than others, but when in need of a quick and cheap haircut, this is a good spot.

Came as a walk-in about supper time on a Wednesday. Got greeted promptly and was in a chair pretty quickly. I was about 2-3 wks past due when it should have been cut. Heidi was the stylist. Clipper cut first then scissors cut (wet). Then a shampoo and follow up trim. Compliments from others is proof that the stylist did a great job. Thanks, Heidi.

I loved everything about my visit here! The very talented and friendly staff and the shampoo made this a very relaxing and enjoyable visit, I also appreciated the very warm and welcoming feel of the building. All in all a 5 star visit! Great job guys keep it up👏👏😁

This salon is amazing!!!I had went to another salon (I won’t mention who) and had a beach wave perm done and when they were done my hair was fried!!! I went home and cried! I called the salon the next day and they said to come in and they would do a deep condition. I’m not sure what she did but my hair was worse.I called Fantastic Sams in Owatonna and asked for Ajay (I use to go to her in Northfield .when she worked there) so I knew she was good. Went in the next day and she worked a miracle!!! She got my hair back to what it was suppose to be and probably healthier now.I’m very grateful for what she did for me.I highly recommend Fantastic Sams’s in Owatonna and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ajay!!! My hairdresser (I didnt catch her name) cut 7 inches of hair off and did a great job. She asked lots of questions and made sure it was what I wanted. She made conversation and didnt pressure me to buy any product. She shampooed, cut and dried my hair for 17.99, not including tip! Will be back again, great place!!

Yesterday, i went to the MSU location and unfortunately i had a bad experience. since i live in Owatonna, i made an appointment at the Owatonna location to have my hair fixed. i have nothing but good things to say about the owatonna location, especially tracy. the staff in owatonna was 10x friendlier and tracy totally transformed my hair and she completely fixed it. she turned my orange blotchy and very damaged hair into something healthy and amazing and beautiful! i definitely recommend tracy to anyone!!

Depends on the stylist but the time is short and theyre all pretty decent. Im just picky about my cut. I usually do it myself but if Im feeling lazy this is where I go.

Wth kind of place is this ? Went at 930 to get a cut and color due to them telling me they dont take appointments. I was told to come back at noon for my cut/color. When I get there, they tell me to come back at 3:00! Because they had other appts after 12:00 that they scheduled knowing I was coming back at noon.. Im working 60 hours a week and this was my only day to get it done. WILL NOT BE USING THEIR SERVICE AGAIN. (Actually didnt even get a damn chance)

Full service hair salon. Sometimes I have to wait a bit to get done, but Walmart is close so I usually go there to waste time if it is going to a long time. Doesnt happen very often. I havent had a complaint. One thing I dont like is you never know who is going to cut your hair. But I havent had a bad hair cut yet.

Not the best when working with kids. I’d go here in a bind but that’s pretty much it.

I called ahead of time and said I wanted highlights. They said they dont take appointments, only walk ins. I lined up a babysitter and set aside a whole day to go in and when I got there they said that color is by appointment and they they were full for the entire day. I told the gal working that I called and what they said, she was very rude and basically called me a liar. Now I am out the money I spent on babysitting and was unable to get my hair done. :(
