We were just down at TALLADEGA racetrack, infield and our slide would not go out or in. Someone gave us this number to call. Two young men came. Very prompt. They knew what the problem was (wires crossed) and fixed it. We were so happy and the two young men each gave me a hug. ( My husband just laughed). Also they were very polite and had manners. Thank you

I had to have 3 axel caps installed due to a previous mechanics failure of over torquing the caps and falling off a few miles down the road. They got me in and out quickly. Repacked bearings and ensure everything was good to go. I would recommend them to anyone who needs your trailer worked on for anything mechanical.

My RV slide-out would not open. After looking at several videos and searching for answers I called around looking for help. With a booked schedule Minton was out the very next day!!I was privileged to meet the owner who was not only knowledgeable and fast but also a loving family man which was a plus in my book!! He didnt try to waste time or add on frivolous charges- he found the problem in less than 10mins!! This was another plus since there were no videos on manually sliding out my particular model. He showed me how to fix it if the problem continued- another plus!!So if you are looking for honest work done by an honest man with integrity And fair prices Minton is the place to go or call as they do offer mobile services- and for my sake I was glad they did!!

I have been to this shop for several repairs. They are great with generators and the only people that can touch Onan in the area. My most recent experience is with RV body repair. They did an alright repair on one part of the job and destroyed another part of the camper. I would imagine they are alright at small jobs but they struggle with large ones. If it is a major repair I would suggest to find a different shop. I gave 3 star because I have had great service here and at the same time I have had absolutely terrible service and no satisfaction.

Highly recommend. Came to our aid after a tire blow out caused severe damage to our RV. Repaired everything at our campsite--new tire, new flooring, lots of electrical repairs, etc. The owner, who was the primary person working on our repair, was both friendly and professional. He did the job way faster than we would have expected a typical RV dealer service center and at a much more reasonable price. Wed confidently bring our RV to him for any future repairs/upgrades.

Said they were swamped after the tornadoes but fit us in & got our dying RV generator functioning again so we were back on the road in less than 2 hours. Exceptional service & friendly people.

Absolutely Amazing. In Our RV we lost power on our plugs andappliances. After explaining what happened to the repairman showed us a restart switch on the generator itself. It took 5 minutes at this location to get back on the road. No charge. Sonny is the co owner. What a great place to do business.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. We were staying at Talledega raceway and needed an obscure part for an RV generator and they had it in stock. They are not to far from Talledega - about 20 minutes, and they didnt have the usual crowd from there. Its a best kept secret if your camping for the race and need help.

I had a follow up appointment for them to fix my RV refrigerator on the 27th. This morning they showed up. On the 26th. Prior to this I dealt with a very disrespectful woman in the office over the phone. I was talked down to, and basically told I’m stupid. She yelled at me, so I yelled back. They have refused to come back out to finish the work they started. This all began nearly a month ago. It’s been a nightmare.

Had the windshield in RV replaced it took weeks into months to get it finished ( ordering windshield and installing). It wasn’t cleaned.

This place is great...Fantastic service and friendly people! Our RV trailer brakes locked up because of electrical malfunction and we needed help to get back on the road. They got us in for service quickly when no one else would. We were there when they opened in the morning (8:00 am) and they worked hard to get needed parts and the service done. We were on the road by lunchtime. Way to go Mintons! We appreciate all you did for us.

Awesome people. They went out of their way to come to my house and winterize our camper before a winter freeze. Pricing is very reasonable as well! I recommend them to anyone needing service for campers.

They installed a Big Foot leveling system on my C class motor home. Everything they did looks like it came from the factory. Had a little trouble with where the leveling sensor was mounted. Called them, no problems they ask me to bring it back in. Took them a little over 2 hours to relocate new sensor.“Great Job” Minton RV!!!!Thanks, Michael Spradling

Traveling with a new rv doesnt mean you wont have trouble. Our travel plans wouldnt allow us to wait a month for warranty repairs to the hydraulic leveling system. We were stuck with jacks down unable to move. These folks supplied us the proper parts and would have came to our campsite if I were unable to make the repairs. Their knowledge and competence and willingness to help made a bad situation much easier to deal with.

Fast service, big help, nice staff - we were at Talladega for race weekend and our motorcoach starter gave out. We called them first thing this morning (8am), they found us one, had it to us in record time. My husband installed it and we were on our way home before 12noon. Thank you!

Good people, but you gonna pay!!

My father had his truck worked on here, on top of putting his repairs to the bottom of their priority (had his truck there for three weeks) before working on it, they didnt even secure his oil dipstick back to the engine block. Upon arrival to pick up his truck he attempted to check the oil. The dipstick was loosely fastened to the engine with a zip tie! A zip tie!! When asked why, one of the mechanics said well we had a hard time getting the bolt to start/fasten....unbelievable. Additionally, he paid to have his A/C repaired and all they did was add freon. They didnt address the A/C clutch problem, he got the truck home and the A/C still is not working properly. Customers beware!

I cant say enough positive things about dealing with these gentleman today. I was camping in Talladega and found that my pop up camper wouldnt go down while we were packing up. After calling they arrived promptly at my camp site and got to work. I dont know a whole lot about the mechanics of my camper and he was not condescending and took the time to explain what happened and how to ultimately fix it. The price was beyond fair and we were most impressed with the southern hospitality we were shown by this company. I hope I dont need them again but you can bet if Im ever in a bind like that again I wont hesitate to call. Awesome service. Thank you guys!

I was asked to Add this review on behalf of MR. & Mrs. Hembury ..Just recently on a trip from New York to Tucson Arizona my wife and I experienced a total breakdown of our windshield wiper system on our class A motor home, of course this had to happen at night during a bad rainstorm. We were in the State of Alabama in the City of Oxford, next to Interstate 20. We pulled off the nearest exit and stayed in a local parking lot. Researching the internet we located a Minton RV, Truck repair service about 6 miles from where we were, opening up at 8am. 730am we pulled up at Minton’s front door, employees were just starting to report to work. We explained our desperate situation to one of the employees who turned out to be the owner, Don Minton. Don calmed our nerves explaining that he could weld the broken bracket on our windshield motor and repair our hanging electric steps that added to a bad situation. The staff at Minton’s and the girls in the office did exactly what they promised, performing all repairs at a fair price sending us safely on our way. They even helped with our Good Sam claim getting us our insurance payment. This is one of those Mom and Pop shops that stayed in business for over 45 years because of the service they provide. You can bet their number is saved in our phone in the event we or our friends are passing through this way in the future. Sue and Mike Hembury

Unable to fix my issues on my generator last year. Replaced the starter and said it would be ok but never made it run. Just excuses and a 3K bill for a/c and generator never to run. Did a brake job to make it safe but overcharged I feel.

Called them to fix a EGR pipe issue on my up pipe and said they welded a plate over hole and everything else but come to find out just filled it full of quick steel and charged me out the butt
