Actually the place is pretty well stocked and most of the time I find what I need . The lady who does the cabinet layout design is really helpful a real sweetie and a pleasure to talk too. Most all.my interactions with the staff has been positive. The hardware section is not to bad either and they have good size grade 8 bolts fine and coarse threads .

The employees are nice and helpful..... I had some projects for Christmas 🎄 so I took a bag in.. for sizes etc of hardware. They helped me choose sizes etc. They where very sweet and I enjoy going in and taking my husky as well.Would highly recommend 👌.....

Went there today and Auggie went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. He was very knowledgeable also on everything I asked about.

Very poor customer service. A manager offered to load equipment onto the trailer which he also assisted hooking up (trailer and equipment both rented), and the trailer popped off the ball and put a dent/scratch in my brand new truck tailgate as he was loading the equipment. Long story short, the company refused to help pay for any damages nor give any money back on the rental at that, even though that manager offered (without me asking) to assist when he knew it was against company policy. Had he mentioned no responsibility for any possible damages, I wouldve taken full responsibility for the damages he caused. I will drive out of my way to give another company my business, rather than giving this company another dime.

Thanks for the help yesterday with the shower extension and direction to install it! It was as easy as you said it would be! Saved me from having to purchase an entirely new one! Thanks again! Love the helpful people that work there, especially the man that assisted me yesterday morning!

Friendly helpful staff

This is the hardware store where most people actually know what theyre doing. When you ask for help you actually get it. I only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because you definitely dont want most of them cutting wood for you. Had some really bad experiences there. Otherwise, definitely go here.

You might pay a little more for some items than you would at Home Depot or Lowes...but the service here is personalized & exceptional. They have a friendly & knowledgeable staff that takes the time to answer your questions & give helpful advice. Auggie does a great job!!

There are two kinds of hardware stores: Those where you have to find what you need yourself, and the kind that help you. This us the kind that helps you.

I came across this site and read through ALL the reviews and had to post my two cents worth. I have been in this store and many others. I am not impressed by what the reviews had to say. I mean I hear that there are several that noted the employees where around and hard at work but these reviewers did not ASK for help. They all wanted customer service but complain when THEY have to make human conversation. They would literally, rather hit a button rather than ask a few Human Being for help. What is this community coming to? These trolls (term given by the internet about those who post bad reviews for the sake of posting bad reviews) just do not seem to have a grasp on the fact that they are very contradictory to themselves. I feel I have to defend places like these when ungrateful, anxious, and condescending people feel the need to post. I have been in several Gillmans and have had a nice experience in most. I do NOT believe this is a perfect shop, but it is not all that bad either. It is more your experience is how you make it out to be. Perhaps if your a negative person, your experience will be negative, if you expect something to just appear when you show up you might be setting yourself up for failure. But, this store can be a good place to shop if your not a rude customer and really want help. But, if you believe those people are only there to serve you than maybe you should shop someplace other than a small business where they have many tasks and jobs to accomplish in a short amount of time. Just my two cents.

For most things that we need, Gillmans offers brands and prices that are comparable to Lowes. Most of what you really need is here, including extensive lumber options and hardware. We can save gas and support a local business most of the time. Gillmans even has some essentials for homes, such as mattresses. I am a new fan.

Well i am a delivery driver and this location is the best place out of all the places that I deliver to. Theyre friendly outgoing seem to know what the hell theyre doing just an absolute Joy thank you

Great place! Didn’t really pay much attention to the prices but imagine a place halfway between ACE and Home Depot and you get Gillman’s. It’s bigger than your average ACE but smaller than HD. Decent sized lumber yard stocked with the essentials. Lots of options and things to choose from instore. Friendly staff that appears to have plenty of experience.

Walked around in the home center for about 15 minutes, looking at flooring. There were about 4 employees around doing various tasks of computing, stocking and cleaning. Not one person asked to help me. Im currently in the market for new flooring, I guess it wont be from here since everyone is too busy. No time for a new customer. Extremely disappointed in my first time at this business.

I like smaller stores that are more customer oriented... so I had high hopes for this store. I got greeted when I came in the door by a few people and that is always nice. I was with my two young children.... just browsing the aisles before we went to the paint counter to select our paint. I came out of one aisle as one employee was yelling down the middle aisle about how nobody wants to see porn when they come here and laughing. I guess a husband and wife who work there kissed each other and the other employee was joking with them. THAT is something my kids dont need to hear..... nor does anyone for that matter. He said he was sorry once he saw my children, but come on..... lets be a little mindful for what we say in the workplace. Save that for a back room where no customers have to hear it.At that point, I went ahead and headed over to get the paint. I let my son pick his color and waited at the paint counter (in the center aisle) for a couple minutes. When no one came over (I thought maybe they would because there were quite a few employees in the store and only a couple shoppers), I thought maybe I needed to ring a bell or something. I saw that there was an electronic button to call for service, so I pushed it. Three different people came over as their radios were going off. The first one there was a middle aged guy. I joked with him and said, wow, that was like in surround sound. He replied saying that I didnt need to ring the bell because theres always someone around. I was taken aback, but I continued on with my order and purchase. I mean.... if theres always someone around, why werent they there before I rang the bell? It didnt bother me to ring the bell.I didnt expect someone to follow me around the store, but I didnt expect the attitude this man had. He didnt say much to me throughout. So, I went ahead and checked out after that. The gentleman ringing me out was very pleasant. I took my purchase home and the more I thought well maybe it was just an off day... or maybe they dont like kids coming in...? I dont really know. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I dont need to go back. I would rather drive the extra distance for Lowes or even just go to Walmart..... and thats saying a lot. Im just overall disappointed.
