What a lovely little place! Good coffee good prices. Four stars because I save five for repeat visits and truly exceptional places.Free wifi, friendly people, lots of seating, no pretention about not using electronics at certain tables so this is a good place to hunker down and work.

Chic coffee joint that has its own take on the more sugary and fancy Starbucks versions. Their version of the fog latte with cinnamon is interesting though doesnt mix too well. Plenty of seating in a variety of comfy options and perfect for the sleepy town it resides in.

I went in on a Sunday morning and the barista was warm and friendly. I got the fog breaker latte, and it was DELICIOUS. Its honey, vanilla, and plenty of cinnamon, which I love. The store is cute, with a variety of tables, and calm ambience. If you want a local place, I enjoyed this one!

The location is at a convenient part of Pacific Grove (PG), which is what makes it so appealing. Across the street from the theater and right beside childrens dance and music lessons, while being in close proximity of other things in town. Coffee drinks every where are going up to $4-$5 a cup, and CMRC also has these prices. Their food is nothing to boast about, though available in case a person wants a light lunch for around $4-$5. They offer Wifi with password for customers.Customer service from some employees can seem a little dry and unemotional. What do you want/heres your total/heres your change/heres your coffee.Im a semi frequent visitor due to it being close to a location I have an appointment with and theres a drink I really love; the Fogbreaker.

Good espresso drinks, nice location in downtown Pacific Grove. Food Ive had there has been pretty middlin. Parking can be difficult.

I really enjoy this coffee house. I would come here often to hang out with my computer, or meet up with friends. The staff here is super nice and easy to make friends with. I enjoy their Red Eye coffee, and their chicken sammys.

Good Coffee and very good Chai Latte. But we were not well treated by one of the employees. A brief hello... and then she was so much concerned in the bill, not even waiting to hear the complete order... so unpleasant, and not representing the kindness and gentleness we found in ALL the places we have been at Pacific Grove.

As many times as I have been to Pacific Grove, I have never tried the coffee at the Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting. I have since had a very good cup there a number of times and always go back for more! Last time, they even made me an Affogato.

Some advice: If you are just too jaded and uninterested in your job, then you should perhaps seek another type of employment, particularly one where you wont have to work with the general public. We were at this coffee shop on Sunday, and ordered your basic coffee and pastry. We politely said Thank you when our order was handed to us, and the woman behind the counter had no response. Zero. Must have been way too much of an effort to reply Youre Welcome, huh? Seriously, having such rude, blasé employees does nothing to enhance this establishments image. We will seek other coffee shops with people who at least seem to enjoy their jobs!

Friendly staff and good coffee. Did not take advantage of any specialty drinks this go around. They didnt have a big selection of coffee but what they had was good.

Just tried their Organic Carmel Foglifter beans, French roast. Frankly, not too good.There is no even basic information about the beans: name of farm/types of beans if blended, way of bean processing, date of roasting, notes to the taste etc.The smell when grinding and the taste of the espresso produced are not very pleasant: a bit strong in burnt wood & smoke with a hint of rubber. There is basically no acidity and no sweetness in the coffee, only bitterness.

Another weekly hang out place. Cozy and laid back with a dog porch and huge stroller-friendly bathroom. If youre a local, get a punch card: after 10 your 11th coffee is free!

The coffee was fantastic, the chocolate pastry not so much. I think it had chocolate syrup inside it instead of real chocolate.

Great drinks. Our chai latte was nice and spicy. Just delicious. The service was great, but their skills at heating up breakfast sandwiches are lacking haha. I sent back my cold egg and sausage sandwich twice and it was still cold. Eventually I just gave it to my husband and got a muffin. Great chai though.

I have mixed experiences. Staff usually courteous but at times be slow and indifferent. Think they forgot my food order one time and on two occasions it came out burnt. Decor is nice and comfortable and coffee is very good.

I order one of the quiche options and a house brewed coffee. It was good. Nothing special.

Lovely little place with a polite staff, good lighting, great seating inside as well as outside, and a large stroller-friendly bathroom.

2 stars for cool atmosphere but the staff needs to brush up on their products. I ordered a tea from the menu and the barista didnt know anything about it. She didnt know how to make it, she wanted to know my opinion on how she should make it, ect... In the end, I got some powdered tea poured into a cup of froth. So not sure if thats like a delacy Im not aware of or the lady didnt know what she was doing and just needs more training. Anyway, cool interior design, real hip and what-not. But the tables are all wobbly, I would never do homework there for that reason. There are plenty other options with sturdy tables that will get my hard earned money.

Ordered a breakfast bagel. They offered to heat it up. 11 minutes later it was done. Bit into it and it was cold. There were 2 employees and only 1 other customer. Unacceptable.

We stopped at 13:00 on the way to drive.I ordered chicken sandwich, cinnamon roll and two lattes.About twenty dollars.I was able to take a relaxing rest.Drop in at around 13:00 on the way to the drive.Order chicken sandwich, cinnamon roll and latte. The price is almost $ 20.It was a perfect sandwich with a relaxing break.Because I can walk from the seaside, is it just right for a break on a walk?
