I previously had a bad experience at a different salon, and had no hope for my hair.. until I met Kaylee, a stylist at Claude and Thomas. She took the time to explain my options and thoroughly explain how long each process would take, so I’d have a better understanding..I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair— colored and keratin treatment, and she did it EXACTLY how I wanted it. I’m so happy and thrilled to establish my future appointments at this salon. The inside of the salon is so clean and beautiful, all of the staff is extremely friendly. All around a wonderful experience. I left happy, and was provided great service. Definitely would recommend this salon.

Claude Thomas is one of the most professional salon I have ever been to. The staff is very welcoming and works with whatever needs you have. I enjoy the hospitality with the offers of water, coffee or wine! I have became a regular customer with one of the best stylist Kaylee. She has such a upbeat personality and really knows how to do hair! I have very coarse, thick hair and she is one of the only people I trust now to do my hair ! Also, the music choice is superb, it makes the salon have a very trendy atmosphere. 10/10 I wish I could put more stars !

She is truly an artist & a professional who has an eye for what will work for you to make you look your best. She ensures that all the staff has ongoing training so they keep abreast of the latest trends & processes. You can have confidence in all the folks who work there. It’s so relaxing to go to Claude Thomas, too. I truly look forward to getting a highlight & cut, though they offer many services. Where do I even begin?! I am absolutely inlove with my hair now.I called them earlier in the week to see what their availability was and to discus with them the problems I was having. During the week they kept in touch with me, asking questions and getting pictures. You see I had a HUGE problem, I went to a different salon 3 weeks prior. A top notch highly rated and expensive salon to treat myself and they did such a bad job a blind person wouldve noticed! It was traumatizing to say the least.Jennifer was absolutely AMAZING. Like, she not only did what I wanted done to my hair which wasnt that hard to begin with, she had like a thousand corrections to make as she couldnt bleach over already bleached hair and there was this big thick red streak going around my head(mistake by other salon) she had to get out. It was a disaster. I honestly couldnt be more pleased. I love how my hair looks!The whole experience was amazing. From the research and time they took the days prior to make sure they could help, to the second I left they made me feel like a freaking celebrity. Claudia and Jennifer are so personable when I looked at the clock I couldnt believe I had been there for that long. Great vibes!As for Covid-19 I felt very safe. My temperature was taken upon arrival and they asked I use hand sanitizer before even coming back everyone had on masks and I had the place to myself practically, until it was time to leave and the next clients came in.With everything that Jennifer had to fix and all the extra time spent on detail this shouldve cost way more than the $300 that the other salon cost (Andreas Hogue) but it was 2/3 that! Like I said I couldnt be happier and found my new forever salon, I wish I had found this place sooner! 5*

The staff takes the time to get my color just right and I appreciate that. I can always count on a relaxing time as I am waited on and pampered, hard to find in this busy world today. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed!

Claudia is a truly talented stylist/owner and a warm, friendly person. Great colorist. Provides everything from various hair extension applications to replacement hair pieces. Really exceptional. Staff is always helpful. Shop is big & always immaculate. Just a great salon!!

I had the most wonderful experience here yesterday. Jenny was extremely knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to ask me a lot of questions to really understand my hair as well as what I wanted. We went with highlights and lowlights to hide the grey and I couldnt be happier. I will definitely be coming back. The entire staff was super nice.

I highly recommend Claudia Tapp, hairstylist and salon owner. She is very creative and professional. I have wavy hair that is highly affected by humidity. My hair has been cut in various styles, highlighted and colored, as well as, straightened using a Japanese straightening technique. She has individualized my color at her unique mixing Color Bar and mixes deep condition solutions pending the condition of my hair. I have always been happy with the results! My husband also goes to Claudia for his hair and beard trimming and is equally pleased. Kristin is excellent at shaping my eyebrows as well. All the salon staff seem highly trained and friendly!

My daughter and I (and occasionally my son when I can drag him through the door) have been going to Claude Thomas for approximately 10 years. We settled on this salon after having tried several - which failed to satisfy, much less thrill us -- in the Barrington, Lake Zurich and Palatine areas. My daughter and I see Claude. We have always been absolutely delighted with her fabulous, highly creative designs of colours and cuts. (I say this as someone who needs every technique known to man to keep my hair looking its best). We both have base colour and extensive highlighting. The results are brilliant, and we receive numerous compliments -- even from passersby on the street. We have come to trust her expertise and exquisite taste to the point that we just say, do whatever you think.My son has also been completely satisfied with Laurens interpretations of what he would like done - which Lauren has to tactfully pry out of him, one monosyllable at a time. His hair always looks healthy, glossy and beautifully cut.I also see Kristen for various skin rejuvenation treatments. What Claude Thomas offers is always at the forefront of skin and beauty enhancement, and Kristen is always completely up-to-date and expert with the latest treatments and methodologies.The entire staff is focused on creating a warm, friendly environment and an excellent customer experience from the moment a client walks in the door.
